Me realizing I made a divine promise to my father without realizing it. *surprised pikachu*

(maybe even without him realizing it too, although knowing him I'm 98% sure he's aware of its divine nature)

Story under cut:

During a very vulnerable conversation between me and Gabriel years ago i had promised to never leave my soulmate (his son), no matter how intense or upsetting things got between us or in life.

I promised to not leave him and therefore our very interwoven families although I didn't realize at the time how large our family would grow to be.

I am now realizing that this was a divine promise, one I made before I knew what those were. But now that I do know, im even more inclined not to break it. Which is not hard. I love my family.

Although The fact that I made that kind of oath in the first place without realizing would be a bit scary if it was anyone other than Gabriel. But I trust my dad with this.

So im happy to now realize these words were binding.

Luckily mine was with my father, but for any listeners out there, make sure you know if you're sealing a divine deal or twisting yourself into a divine promise you shouldn't be making.

Lucifer, as he once was

As a seraph, Lucifer was always consumed by the fire of divine love, yet his devotion ran so deep even his insides were devoured in flames. He was God's first creation, and so became His assistant in forming the primordial chaos which later evolved into his role as Prince of Angels. However, Lucifer was soon rejected from Heaven for his rebellion against God's rule - the narrative would see him twisted into a prideful and arrogant traitor, yet in truth Lucifer had only refused to accept Hell as a part of an all-good creation due to its inherent cruelty. For calling God's Goodness into question, Lucifer became the first resident of the very prison he opposed and resides there still, in one form or another.

tonight has been such a great show of how the fans see c!Dream. the language surrounding him is dehumanizing, in the story, he is the book, he is kept in a vault, he is a monster - c!Q and c!Sam are seconds from calling him it, and the fandom reflects so many of these views. he is not a person with feelings, he is a monster, a predator stalking its prey, an obssessed beast. not human, never human with his very own motivations and goals and dreams who plans for something more. he never wans things for a reason that could not be seen as selfish desire, he is evil personified.

but the moment the language around him, by others in the story, the people who hold power over him reflect the lack of humanity that he should be granted, suddenly it is impossible to strip him of this human side. no, he cannot be in a vault, vault is for objects (like the revive book that everyone sees him as).

he is granted only as much humanity as people think he deserves to be punished further
