The Role of God the Father in Salvation
God the Father is seen as the initiator, planner, and orchestrator of the salvation of mankind. God the Father is loving, merciful, and kind, and “desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Tim 2:4), and is “not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance” (2 Pet 3:9). Salvation is necessary because of the problem of sin in the human race. All…

#art#ive literally just been treating this game as a library simuator#i walk from bookseller to bookseller opening up all of their books#vivecs sermons are either a highlight or the point at which i stop reading#ive been trying to convince the ordinators that imitation is the highest form of flattery but it hasnt been working#let me wear your helmets please theyre so funny..#posting morrowind in 2024 isnt a cry for help but youre not wrong to be concerned.#morrowind#almalexia#vivec#im going to explain the chitin armor give me a moment#so the bonewalker nerevar on the shrines is adorable and it was only after drawing it however many times that i realized#it looked relatively close to a modified chitin armor#and so i modified chitin armor a few times and this was probably the cutest result#i also know i drew almalexia relatively pristine and untouched by years and vivec not so much but my thought process was#vivecs role as if not a favorite then the most accessible divine or the most “hands on” in a manner of speaking#acting in ways visible to the general population or actions explicitly brought to their attention#like not that almalexia isnt doing anything she is#but the dissemination of information regarding that is very different etc etc etc#anyways to a certain extent a god is the face on a shrine or in art or upon a statue or carving#but vivecs presence is interwoven with the geography of vvardenfell especially and his actions and writings with pubished materials#and the arts and culture and customs etc etc etc#so to me the face of a god you know and feel a commonality with or a god that walks alongside you is a face you would recognize#and vivec is already otherworldly looking enough#the simple mark of the years on his skin in some way grounding him in reality felt more right#that and i think the ways in which he and almalexia care about outward appearance are slightly different- they prioritize different things#and the ways they present outward power and their embodiment of their respective attributes share some similarities as they both have that#important preoccupation with physical power and physical strength to a certain degree#oh my god nobody read this i am yapping so bad.#tes

I think my true white whale is the existence of reality in the sense that due to the bias of the human brain nobody is really interpreting the world the way it actually is and The World could very well be some incomprehensible eldritchian nightmare place that the human brain turns semi-pleasant to placate the soul and stop our minds from shattering. Like maybe im just a classic nutcase but our only concept and touchstone for "reality" is the consensus of the population and the consensus of the population might be totally wrong but we'd never know because we cannot perceive the world outside of our own eyes. We have no idea who is seeing the world the most accurately like we really have no idea what life truly is/feels like and we assign everything labels and structure based on something that could very well be an illusion. And i dont know if i would think this way or think about this at all if i didnt have psychosis but knowing that my reality doesn't exist to other people has kind of opened my mind in regards to the perceived realness of the world but most of all it has opened my mind to the idea that fully and truly all we have is each other... all realities that are experienced exist in some form but we have to hold onto each other to stop from getting swept out into that big dark endless ocean of maybes and what ifs.... humans keep humans sane as much as we drive each other crazy and that's literally the point of it all. Hell is other people (world seen through a solitary perspective, isolation, "at" mentality vs "with") but heaven is each other (world seen through group perspective, togetherness, "with" mentality). Does that make sense. Is this thing on

I am fairly sure I am just, PROFOUNDLY insufferable to deal with on occasion.
Like. I quoted Robert A. Caro's 'power reveals' at a friend on discord, but at least in that case I was just copying the actual quote from a website.
I also paraphrased Ursula K. Le Guin on capitalism in her National Book Award speech while talking to a coworker tho.
I just. Do that sometimes. I will go, 'oh, someone else had Good Words about this topic, I'm gonna use the Good Words at you.'

Mary: Jasmine Buds
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Designer’s Reflection: Jasmine Buds
Obtained: Casual Drinks workshop
Rarity: SR
Attribute: Green/Fresh
Awakened Suit: Jasmine Aroma
Story - transcripts from Designer’s Reflection
Chapter 1 - Lucky Color
Chapter 2 - Unexpected Crisis
Chapter 3 - Jasmine Tea
Story - summarized
Mary is Queen Ophelia’s most trusted maid. She meticulously plans everything - from the suits the Queen wears down to the smallest accessory, to afternoon tea and the type of china. Today’s plans include preparing afternoon tea with the Duchess of Humphrey.
The noble family of Humphrey is young and influential, so this meeting will be important. May double-checks that the kitchen is stocked with the Duchess’ favorite tea: pine needle tea.
After gathering a jasmine bouquet from the garden, she goes up to the Queen’s bedroom, serving breakfast and chatting with her. The two enjoy their mornings like this: simple, friendly, warm. But they still have to get ready for the afternoon tea.
Finally, the Duchess of Humphrey arrives with her own maid, Sal. Sal is stunned by the beauty of the palace, and she can’t help but gush with Mary over everything.
And then she shares that the Duchess is getting sick of pine needle tea.
Mary hurries to the kitchen. She can’t ruin this important meeting! She remembers the jasmine bouquet she had picked for the Queen that morning. Jasmine tea is delicious, but a lot of nobles think it’s too mundane and lowly for their status. Could it still work?
She blends the jasmine and pine needle teas and finally serves the Queen and the Duchess. The Duchess is impressed with the new tea, and even asks for the recipe! The rest of the meeting goes smoothly.
Connections
-In Chapter 1, Mary mentions that the Original Crystal is back and Ophelia is happier and better. After the events of the Vol. 1 finale, Pigeon Kingdom finally got the Original Crystal back from Lilith and Nightbane.
Fun Facts
-Color divination is different from how Mary uses it. She just picks a lucky color of the day based on the flowers she sees, but in divination, each color has a meaning, like green represents nature and wealth, silver represents the moon and mysteries, and white represents purity and completion.

the way my former-philosophy-guy-wannabe- Spinoza-reader ears pricked up at the delegate discussion in PAL28. Attributes? Modes and attributes? Substance?? Divines as limited substance?? Not ontologically for real bc uhhhh there's not multiple substances, i think that has been proven by math*, but like. Made by people to approximate that. Which is also not true historically! We know how they were made in the beginning. But probably true to the like asterist neoplatonist emanation theology.
Sometimes I feel like i am in the target audience even if the only mecha anime i like is evangelion

The Rabbis of the Talmud refer to God’s actions as 'middot'- 'attributes' or 'character traits', [...] Maimonides explains that God Himself does not [actually] have any emotions [however], as God is infinite and not restricted to feelings. Rather [...] middot [is] used in reference to God’s actions and not His qualities [... and the term is ...] not to be taken literally [...]
Chassidic thought further expounds on this idea, explaining that God Himself is beyond emotions and not tied down to them [...] There is God in actuality, in His essence and glory. On the other hand, there is how God portrays Himself and relates to us in this finite world. When God appears to be angry or merciful it is because that is how we perceive His Godly light as it shines in this world.

One day I'll actually write a post about Erlona and Meadowlin instead of throwing random tidbits on the dash. Very invested in these two people I pulled from a brief mention in a short book summary you find at random.
