Lost In Ikea
Tumblr media
Summary: John was a patient man, but he had his limits. That includes having to navigate his way around a maze you called IKEA and the impossibility of having to put the bloody bed together—his patience was even shorter after being interupted twice and a broken bed as an aftermath. Character: John Price x F!Wife!Reader. OC Daughter (Katherine Price) Word Count: 1,066 Chapter Warnings: General Chaos. John gets cockblocked twice. Unedited. Lol. Author's Note: for @glitterypirateduck;s O'Captain! Challenge Scenarios:
4. Lost In IKEA 55. Someone gets walked in on (doesn't have to be sexual) 89. Shopping for a new bed.
Masterlist | Series Masterlist || Request are Open || Join My Taglist
The frown has marred John’s face the moment he had placed the car on park and he was greeted by the annoying blue and yellow signage. It still confused him to no end why you insist on buying a bed in IKEA when he could make one himself.
“Are you excited to go to IKEA?” The gentle baby talk lingered besides him as he turned towards you whose attention was solely on your six month old daughter on the car seat.
It was another special occasion for the three of you aside from buying a new bed for them, you had also decided that it was time to invest on some more furniture and decoration for the baby’s bed.
John grumbled under his breath as he reluctantly got out of the car, following his wife as you handed him the sling carrier to carry your daughter. Without another word, he placed his daughter onto the carried on his chest and was greeted with the lovely grumble of his pride and joy.
“You’re the only thing keeping me sane now, Love.” He whispered gently kissing on top of her head before following his wife through the towering blue and yellow entrance.
The sprawling maze of Scandinavian furniture loomed before him like a daunting labyrinth, and he could help but feel a surge of irritation bubbling within him. Why can his wife just allow him to make the bloody bed or more specifically fix the one they had broken last night instead?
“Can’t we just order online like normal people?” John muttered to himself, his voice barely audible over the chatter of shoppers around. He honestly hated being surrounded by people and having to act hyper vigilant because of it.
You turned to him in amusement, but a sympathetic glance lingered, you know all too well his disdain for crowded stores and aimless browsing. But you also know him enough to know he hated online shopping just as much.
“Come on, John. We’re just here for the bed and some decorations for Katherine’s bed.” You tried your best to reassure him.
But as you three continued to venture deeper into the seemingly endless aisles, John’s frustration only intensified. Every turned seemed to lead to yet another showroom, each meticulously staged to showcase the latest in minimalist design. He couldn’t help but scoff at the idea of spending hours wandering through fake living rooms and bedrooms.
"This is ridiculous," John grumbled, scanning the maze of shelves for any sign of escape. "How can anyone enjoy this?"
You chuckled rubbing his bearded cheek before kissing him on the cheeks, knowing there was only one way to placate him and his stormy mood.
“How about this,” You began pulling him towards one of the less populated showrooms. “How about once we’re finished with shopping for the bed and decorations, we can bring Katherine to your parents’ house for a few days so we could handle fixing the bed and redesigning Katherine’s room?” You wiggled your brows knowingly.
John was slowly cracking at the proposition.
“Three days. One day for creating that bloody bed and two days of whatever I want.” He proposed.
“How about a week and we fly your parents and Katherine to Disneyland?” You offered.
“Deal.” John shook your hands sealing the deal and your fate for the weak.
Even with the deal in place, John could not hide his annoyance. Meandering through the store, his annoyance grew with each passing moment especially when you three had found yourself walking in circles for a couple of times. The endless stream of shoppers, the blaring announcements over the intercom, and the overwhelming array of choices left him feeling claustrophobic and irritable.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity and the growing irritable baby on his chest, they had reached the checkout line with their items at hand. John let out a sigh of relief, eager to finally escape the chaos of the store.
“We are never setting foot in an IKEA again.” John muttered to you as soon as you three had exited.
“I hope you keep your word and keep the bed sturdy.” You pointed out knowingly.
John rolled his eyes, not wanting to remember the reason behind the broken bed in the first place.
~
Last Night
“Get out!”
John was close to a coronary at this point. It was the third time tonight that someone had interrupted him with his wife and he was ready to shoot anyone else that would try barging into his bedroom without bloody knocking.
“I told you to lock the bedroom door.” You giggled finding the whole thing amusing. Even with you barely clothed at this point just as much as him, you were barely affected by the fact that Gaz had seen the two of you almost having sex.
John had wished he had never brought the three to his home, he had wished no one knew about their relationship, and he had wished that his wife was not so hospitable as you were right now even after the incident that had now become a common occurrence when everyone was off base.
If only he could turn back time.
“If I had known that those Muppets didn’t know how to knock I would have.” He muttered, the mood now dampened with annoyance of being interrupted.
“Just lock the door and fuck me already.” You giggled, nudging him with your foot and he somehow sprang back to life at that.
Wasting no time, he got up and locked the door before jumping right back into devouring you. You were a giggling mess as he began to strip you of what remained of your clothes.
Even before John could begin, the sound of Soap’s laughter and the crying that came soon after from their daughter had finally sealed the deal that the moment was ruined permanently for the night.
“Bloody fucking hell.” John couldn’t help himself from cursing as you burst into fits of laughter as you stood up and slid on your night robe and opened the door to tend to your crying daughter and attempt to scold Soap from keeping it down.
Slumping his full body into the bed in frustration, the last thing John would have ever expected to happen was for the bed to give out under him further sealing his fate for the night.
“God fucking damn it.”

Time for another traced series post! The top left hand corner is the original screen cap from the 1959 movie. The image underneath it was a coloring page produced in the 1990s. To the upper right, they’ve traced the torso and head out but tried to put her in a new position. The image under, to the bottom right, has traced the screen cap entirely but with Aurora’s redesign look over it and her princess dress.
Below is a vhs screen cap from the 1959 movie (forgive the quality lol) and underneath it is new Disney princess art created in late 2019/early 2020, traced from the original production drawing but making Aurora’s eyes open.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tracing from screencaps for art for the Disney Princess line isn’t new though! This is one of the earliest renders of Aurora created for the line, alongside the screencap her face was taken from to ensure her being on model.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Finally, a screencap from the 1959 movie and the coloring page from the movie which traced it. This was the most popular pose of Aurora’s to trace in the 90s and you can see it on snow globes, pins- it’s even featured as a plate on the Disneyland carousel!

Behind-the-scenes footage of the reshoot of the squid sequence in 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954)
A soundstage with a tank was built specifically for the movie. It was used for underwater miniature shots, but most importantly, this was where the famous squid sequence of the movie was filmed. Building the soundstage alone cost $300,000, but costs would continue to climb once the studio realized it would need to shoot the sequence all over again.
The screenwriter Earl Felton originally described the scene as such in his script: "THE NAUTILUS breaks the surface in the red after-glow of sunset, the ugly body of the squid silhouetted against the horizon, its long tentacles writhing."
Peter Ellenshaw, matte artist: I reckoned it would be very dramatic if--and I was doing sketches on the film quite a lot--that if we did a red, deep red sky, and the squid comes out of the water, it would be a wonderful effect. Well they tried it. They put on that kind of wishy washy sky, and it looked ridiculous.
Richard Fleischer, director: [The first squid] had all the tentacles, but the tentacles were held up by very heavy cables, which you couldn't avoid seeing... The cables would break, or great hunks of the material would come apart, come off. And the inside was stuffed with kapok, and it was absorbing the water, so it's getting heavier and heavier and getting less and less mobile, and it was just impossible. So I'm trying to shoot this thing, and I'm sick to my stomach looking at it because I know it's not working.
After seeing the dailies of the squid sequence, Walt talked with director Richard Fleischer, and they both agreed that it looked comical. Thus, Walt halted production while they thought of an alternate solution.
Fleischer: [Walt] said, "Start a dramatic sequence, and leave the squid sequence alone." He said, "I'll get together with my geniuses at Disneyland, and we'll come up with a squid that will do something for you. It'll be much better than this." ...My writer Earl Felton had seen the dailies too. And I said, "You know, Earl, what are we going to do with this thing? It doesn't work, even if we get a good squid." He said, "Well, look: everything's wrong with this sequence. This should be a sequence that takes place at night in a violent storm with lightning and thunder and wind, tremendous wind, waves smashing everything, so that it becomes not just a fight against the squid, but a fight against nature as well. You'll only see the squid really in flashes of lightning, and you won't see any flaws it may have." So I kissed his hand and ran out to find Walt, and I ran right into Walt on the studio street, and I said, "Walt, this is the new concept for the squid fight." And he listened, and he said, "You're absolutely right." He didn't hesitate a minute. "That's the way we'll do it, and you tell Earl to write that sequence."
The new squid was redesigned and remodeled by sculptor Chris Mueller (who sculpted a majority of the animals on Jungle Cruise). In his redesign, he tapered out the ends of the tentacles to allow them to stretch out to twice their length. He added a brow ridge to the squid to give it a more menacing look and rounded out + shortened the head.
The new mechanics were concepted and created by technical effects expert Bob Mattey (who made the animals on Jungle Cruise move and eventually would become well-known for creating the three animatronic sharks in the film Jaws). He created a spring device that made the tentacles light in weight and fluid in movement. It required 28 men to operate the squid, and they would use vacuum hoses to make the tentacles writhe, inflating them to make them curl and deflating them to uncurl them.
With the new stormy setting, it also required the addition of wind machines, dump tanks, wave makers, and reengineering the Nautilus so that it could lean during the storm.
Most of this reshoot was shot by second unit director Jim Havens (pictured in the first and eighth gifs; James Curtis Havens on IMDb), who already had previous experience shooting action sequences, including the underwater scenes in Creature from the Black Lagoon.
Needless to say, the reshoot practically flooded the soundstage. You can see in the last gif that the water spilled outside the soundstage as Walt, with rubber boots on, walks into the building.
The reshoot cost an additional $250,000, but with only half of the principal photography having been shot, the production was in danger of being shut down. The film had to start taking from funds intended for Disneyland.
Fleischer: They had to get in the bankers... They asked them to supply money to finish the picture, and the bankers wanted to see what had been shot up to date. And that was a big day for us. I was working on the set, waiting to hear word whether we're going to come back to work the next day or shut down that night. It was really that close. Word got back to me. They loved it. And they're giving him a million and a half dollars to finish the picture. That's our squid story. It was a real hair-raiser. A movie in itself.

For my fnaf au I was trying to think of a way that I could come up with a reason that glamrock freddy would get a partial redesign but not the other glam rocks. Then I remember the prototype thing, because with Freddy being a prototype means he's subject to be changed! And I mean it isn't too much of stretch in my head for fazbear entertainment to rush the pizza place being open by using a prototype model for their main performer.
I'm just going to make it so that the upgrades Freddie gets are just them finalizing his design and turning the prototype into the final product rather than building an entirely new animatronic and having to reprogram the self-loading AI.
I could have just not had any reason for it but I think it's kind of funnier having a reason. Because now Freddy won't look naked compared to everyone else in the band! xD
Also additional context, but au takes place after ruin, for fast entertainment is bought over by someone who makes it their goal to go out and find broken animatronics from rundown locations and fix them. So when they found the destroyed pizza Plex and all the destroyed animatronics inside of it let's just say they had a field day. So now the glam rocks are in a known improved pizza Plex that is inside of a theme park with a bunch of different animatronics and models, sort of based on FNAF world.✨ Like fnaf but Disneyland ✨
Also I've been working on a glamrock bonnie drawing and a glam rock Freddy drawing that I hope to post soon, Freddy's I'm still working on his design a bit so the bonnie ones going to be first.

Just for fun I decided to try and slightly redesign Pete to make him look more like his species like how he looked in Steamboat Willie, complete with a tail and whiskers. For his outfit I decided to go with what the Disneyland version of him is wearing. I considered giving him a peg-leg for old time's sake but decided not to.
He's had such an interesting design evolution since his first appearance in the Alice Comedies where he was a bear and didn't become a cat until he debuted in Mickey Mouse shorts. And yes, since he originated in the Alice Comedies that makes him Disney's oldest recurring character still used today.
This video gives a great breakdown into the history of his character evolution: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1uHbr3hdU4

The Cartographer of Mêlée Island
(the reason I drew that Monkey Island map, posted previously.)
x-posted to Instagram
The original LucasArts Monkey Island game came out when I was a kid and so fundamentally influenced my sense of humor and drawing style (those tiny one-pixel black eyes burrowing into your soul) that I felt I should draw something to show my appreciation.
I finished Return to Monkey Island, the long-awaited newest sequel, a month ago (but mixed feelings about it) so I did a portrait of my favorite character from the original game series.
Tumblr media
Tried to design a compromise between all the different incarnations of cartographer Wally B. Feed — Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge, The Curse of Monkey Island, the redesigned Monkey Island 2 Special Edition (yuck), and this year's Return to Monkey Island.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
... in a composition inspired by the heroic portraiture of the late 18th century (e.g. George Romney, Charles Wilson Peale and son), where the learned gentleman of leisure (British) or earnest craftsperson (American) is always depicted momentarily distracted in their work, surrounded by the symbolic trappings of their life, looking into the middle distance contemplating... something... Primarily using these two painting as models for reference—
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Young Cricketer (1768) by Francis Cotes
John Adams (1783) by John Singleton Copley
Those epic skies. The jaunty contraposto hip-tilt. A random drape in the background.
...but nothing tops the perfection of the original character design:
Tumblr media
Other than the buckles on his shoes, there is nothing pirate-y about Wally's outfit. Monocles weren't even widely used until the Victorian/Edwardian era... 100+ years later than the "Golden Age of Piracy." As much as the series maintains a *scrupulous* dedication to being historically inaccurate, I hewed closer to ambiguously 1760-1790 colonial/pirate-y costume aesthetic, but without doing any actual research. Aiming for the sweet spot: Less Disneyland More Colonial-Williamsburg-on-a-bad-day. ( We stan a craftsman's apron connecting to a waistcoat button.)

How did I do?

While I do like the WDW indoor facade exclusively because of how it muffles the fireworks, it is kinda disappointing though because its nowhere near as big or impressive as the other facades 😔 also since I’m fixating on the EM Clock Tower I am fully aware hes based on the original so wah 😭
Oh yeah I HATE that it's indoors like that. I'm not 100% sure why they didn't duplicate the Disneyland fully when building WDW (my guess is a mix of space & maintenance concerns due to Florida's weather, I feel like I've read those two reasons somewhere before but don't have a source atm) the fact that the mini, indoor version of the original facade wasn't added until the mid-2000's is almost weirder to me
like I don't hate the original indoor version but it's still a strange choice to me (also the image with the fountains unlocked a memory for me)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also I feel like I remember reading somewhere that his design takes inspiration from the DLP facade?? I'm not sure where I read that or why someone said that because he. Doesn't look like that version at all? Maybe that was someone's explanation on his redesign but 🤷
It is strange as someone who frequents the DL version to see like *how* accurate the small world level + the clock tower/facade design is otherwise... I think since we don't have a 1:1 real life design of him there's no need to fret about the WDW not being the one he's based on -- if anything, the ride part of the level is closer to every version *except* the original since it's basically a flooded flume lol

Infamous Death of Debbie Stone at Disneyland
Deborah Gail Stone had just enrolled herself for freshman year at the Iowa State University and, as any excited teenager, longed to work in the land of dreams―Disneyland. In order to save for her college tuition, she applied for a summer job at Disneyland and soon landed herself with the coveted job of being a Disneyland hostess.
At Disneyland, a major ride called ‘Carousel of Progress’ was redesigned to become a new attraction, ‘America Sings’. On June 28, 1974, an automated musical extravaganza that paid tribute to the musical history of America debuted. The ride featured six stages in the central nucleus of the building, these six theatres rotated around in sequence so as to allow the theatre audience to experience each popular performance in sequence. The performance consisted of a 24-minute show featuring four big musical acts with a medley of period tunes sung by animated animals. During such a show, it was the job of the Disney hostess to stand on the left-hand side of each stage and greet the audience at the start of each show and bid them farewell at the end of each show.
The only glitch was that in the previous ride ‘Carousel of Progress’, the theatres moved around the nucleus in a clockwise direction. This meant that the walls on the left-hand side of the stage moved away from each other. But in ‘America Sings’, the rotation was reversed, which meant that the walls moved towards each other on the left-hand side of the stage and closed in place to separate each theatre from the other.
On the fateful night of July 8, 1974, Debbie Stone had an evening shift at ‘America Sings’. Just before her shift, she called up her parents and exclaimed to them that she was in love and wanted their permission to get engaged, obviously her parents were happy for her.
A little later, at around 10.30 pm, when the last show got over and the stages were shifting position in between the 45-second interval, a guest from the adjacent theatre heard a blood-chilling scream. When he and the operators rushed to the scene, they were horrified to see Debbie Stone crushed between the walls of the two theatres.
To this day, no one knows what exactly went wrong, there have been numerous theories. Some state that Debbie may have been inclining towards the adjacent stage to talk to a fellow cast member, or she may have attempted to jump from one stage to the other, or she may have been distracted and stepped backwards without noticing. Whatever the reason, the fact remains that Debbie was crushed alive as the rotating wall closed against the stationary one.
After the gruesome incident, Disneyland closed the ride for two days and the stage on which Debbie died remained closed for a year. Later, the stages were installed with sensory lights to warn the operator if someone went too close to the walls and additional changes were made by fixing breakaway walls in case the sensors failed, the ride remained operative till 1988. Then it was shut down, and the building remained obsolete till it was refurbished in 1998 for a new attraction ‘Innovations’.

Okay I can give you SOMETHING of the fairground animatronics.
I had designed all of them a while back (although since, two more characters have been made... Maybe 3?) and I'll share the redesigns, aka current designs, of those here.
Unfortunately, they're just heads
Fairground Freddy
Tumblr media
To change Freddy up, he's a sloth bear. Big kind fluffy guy who likes hugs, but may have a bit of a temper? And of course, a ringleader of sorts. Since these designs are based on the idea of 'freddy's but if faz. ent. owned a huge theme park like disneyland' they all have carnival themed outfits. That's subject to change, but the base designs probably aren't.
Fairground Bonnie
Tumblr media
I know everyone gives him suspenders, but they just work for Bonnie. Also, orange and blue looks neat on him!
Fairground Chica
Tumblr media
These designs are almost like the glamrocks x the classics (fnaf 1) and it's no more obvious than Chica. The hair and bow sorta thing looks good on classic Chica!
Here's those three together in that one drawing I posted recently, because you can see more of them here;
Tumblr media
Fairground (aka 'Captain') Foxy
Tumblr media
Based a little on steel wool's captain foxy, with some added flair and different coloured coat. He has two scars (not on purpose, these were inflicted) and his other eye is completely blank. He also has one peg leg, while the other is metal... Mixing classic w/ rockstar foxy a bit
Fairground Roxy
Tumblr media
I couldn't un-glam her at all. I just added more to her design and changed her clothing to be a red and black racing jacket.
Fairground Monty
Tumblr media
Surprise! He doesn't have a headshot, only this one drawing that I'm really fond of. He's essentially glamrock Monty but less makeup and red pants-- and yes, those ARE intended to be trans scars <3
The final characters are:
Fairground Springtrap; a horror attraction completely unrelated to William Afton. Sounds like Alex Brightman's beetlejuice
Fairground Puppet; a prize-giving puppet (that's actually an animatronic this time) completely unrelated to Charlie Emily
Fairground Baby; a second ringleader known for getting into (verbal) fights with Freddy, supposed to connect with the teens or something. Has heterochromia eyes, with one green and one blue since nobody can actually remember Circus Baby's eye colour (we all know why)
Fairground Mr. Hippo (???); questioned adding this guy just because there's apparently a glamrock Mr. Hippo, so why wouldn't there be a fairground fella as backup?
That's all I have for now, I wanna make in depth posts about this because this whole thing is a few months old + does have more content than my fnaf aus and such usually do. We'll see how that goes

Chapter 56
(Link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/40473339/chapters/111176644#workskin)
Disneyland opened Star Wars land like a year or two before the pandemic but I didn't get a chance to go before it closed. I dealt with this (very first world problem) by making these fictional characters go to Disneyland for me...although of course they can't actually go to Star Wars land (which didn't exist in the year this chapter is set anyway), nor acknowledge that Star Tours exists.
-I did go on a school trip to Disneyland once, for kids who had a certain GPA, so that is a thing that happens. (Or at least used to happen. I don't know about now. Disneyland keeps getting more expensive every year.)
-I just realized in editing this chapter that the story I wrote for NaNoWriMo this year also has Obi-Wan braiding hair.
-Grumbling about parking costs and bringing in your own sandwiches? This is basically Disneyland with my family 101.
-Obi-Wan trying to take a map and Anakin not letting him is a callback to the chapter where they went to the Getty together.
-Pre-cellphones, picking a meeting spot 'in case we get separated' in theme parks was a huge deal.
-I think Disneyland finally realized those stupid French-fry looking bronze rocks by the entrance to Tomorrowland were really ugly and are getting rid of them.
-The key to having a good time at Disneyland in general, and on the Jungle Cruise in particular, is really leaning into the corniness of it.
-First Visit buttons are real, and you can get them just for the asking! I've seen them at Universal, too.
-Of course Anakin would wonder what something is called while standing directly under the very large sign that tells you what it is called.
-One of my running jokes in this story is that Anakin has basically no pop-culture knowledge whatsoever. (We'll pretend that in this universe, like ours except Star Wars doesn't exist, Harrison Ford is just slightly less famous.)
-Yes, Obi-Wan and Anakin realizing they both find the same man attractive but Ahsoka did not is an incredibly backhanded nod to Ahsoka being a lesbian. It's not really relevant to this story because she's fourteen, but in general I will probably write her as a lesbian in everything I write ever.
-(Movie night will become important next chapter)
-Between the riverboat, the canoes, the shooting gallery, and mint juleps, this fic is getting into some deep-cut Disneyland activities, here.
-Don't even get me started on COBRA, UGH
-(Water polo will come up again next chapter, too)
-It is almost impossible for Obi-Wan to have a nice day without some sort of emotional crisis. Today's comes courtesy of Ahsoka asking him to be her backup guardian (yes there probably is a more technical term for that).
-I also got started playing Heads Up Charades because I saw other groups doing it while in line for Space Mountain. (Yes there is a Star Wars category.)
-Anakin's dialogue about Steve McQueen (and Daniel Craig, and Ewan McGregor) mirrors my own opinions. (The first time I saw Daniel Craig was in a trailer for Casino Royale and I had to forcibly remind myself that human cloning doesn't exist because he just looked so much like Steve McQueen to me.)
-Yes, Lightning McQueen the character is named after Steve McQueen the actor.
-When I picture Ahsoka saying, "He's really bad at opening jars," I'm actually picturing April Ludgate talking about her three-legged dog Champion. "Champion's great at everything! Except digging. He's really bad at digging."
-Matterhorn no longer has the cuddle seats, but they used to have cuddle seats, where you put the taller person in the back and the shorter person sat between their legs. This provided a realm of opportunities to horny high schoolers, so long as you could fit it in the three-minute or so window while the ride lasted (and was probably also why they redesigned the cuddle seats).
-I like the dynamic of Anakin, usually so competitive, simply sitting back and admiring Obi-Wan being really good at air rifles.
-Indiana Jones is, IMO, the gold standard of theme parks giving you things to do while you wait in line. Pull this! Watch this! Decipher these hieroglyphics!
-If you can time it right, my favorite place to watch fireworks is while in line for/riding the Matterhorn. (You can also *sort of* see Fantasmic while in line for Haunted Mansion, fyi).

Ah. Maybe she should have started the question off with context.
"Sorry, let me rephrase that. I mean, would you both like to tour the popato factory? When they redesigned it, they made a tour path for easy access, and you get chisps at the end."
It was something she could do for them as a fun activity, but if he was still in pain she didn't want to push him.
Rhythm perks up immediately like you just told him he was getting a two way ticket to Disneyland for the day

History and Design Originally opened in 1984 as the Emerald Hotel, the hotel was purchased by Disney in 1995 and renamed the Disneyland Pacific Hotel as part of the major Disneyland Resort expansion. In 2001, it was reimagined into Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel, inspired by the Paradise Pier section of the newly opened Disney California Adventure theme park. After nearly 25 years as Paradise Pier Hotel, Disney announced in April 2022 that the property would be completely transformed into a hotel celebrating Pixar Animation Studios. The redesign took nearly two years to complete before the Pixar Place Hotel opened on January 30, 2024. The Pixar Place Hotel is designed to resemble an animator's studio. The lobby features colorful character art, concept drawings, storyboards, and other behind-the-scenes looks at the Pixar creative process. Guest rooms also incorporate artwork and themes from Pixar films like Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Coco, and more. Outside, the white and black building façade resembles a blank canvas or animation cell, with bright yellow, red, and blue accents adding pops of color. The lobby entrance is marked by tall glass doors trimmed in the signature Pixar lamp logo. Inside, the lobby centers around a large Luxo Ball sculpture with the iconic Luxo Jr. lamp perched on top. https://youtu.be/Tn_RGekZhq8?si=jy5PNjKfN6f-9rjN Exclusive Pixar Artwork and Nods to Pixar Films Throughout the Hotel The Pixar Place Hotel is the first fully Pixar-themed hotel, celebrating the stories and characters of Pixar Animation Studios. The leisure pool features lounge chairs and private cabanas for relaxation. Animator's Studio Design and Decor The lobby and public spaces resemble an animator's studio, showcasing the Pixar creative process.
