There’s things I’ve liked about recent Disney+ shows. There’s things I’ve disliked about recent Disney+ shows. But one of the things I’m just disappointed with is the shoddy chase scenes.
I adore a good chase scene. A car chase with some good explosions, a foot chase with some fun fight scenes, I eat that shit up. Plot or no plot, they’re fun!
But the Disney+ chase scenes have all been, well, boring.
I’m not sure if it’s the camera angles or something about the pacing, but it’s just not very exciting. It doesn’t look fast. The villains don’t behave very realistically. The stakes don’t seem high.
It’s boring.
It’s really disappointing, because I love chase scenes, and there’s been some good setups for some really fantastic chases in these shows. But they never quite seem to work.
Disappointing. Especially with that budget. I don’t expect much from Disney, to be honest, but I thought they could at least manage decent camera work!

Percy Jackson but Hestia has a cabin. that is where the unclaimed go because she goddess of home and family. Demigods get claimed faster because when they show up Hestia glares at her siblings, nieces and nephews untill they claim them.

while we're on the topic of talking about changes the pjo show made that i love, im glad they didn't push the whole Annabeth saying she and Percy *have* to be enemies because athena and Poseidon have beef. Instead she's just this cryptid autistic strategist 12 yr old who stalks Percy and pushes him into the water. She's like "hmm this white boy will perfectly serve my purpose and schemes" and she's so real for that

Grover: I know who stole the lightning bolt
Me, an omniscient being capable of foresight, prone to narration: he did not, actually, under any circumstances, know who stole the lightning bolt

The fact that they never look at each other but convey their feelings for each other is why Percy Jackson’s casting is god tier (pun intended)

I don't mind that Walker Scobell doesn't look like book!Percy because 1) he's absolutely got the spirit. Walker basically is Percy, you can see and feel that in every one of his scenes, and
2) If book!Percabeth had a baby, he would look exactly like Walker Scobell, and I think that's hilariously perfect

I just realized the PJO show runners could do something so sick and twisted and amazing during the Circe scene.
What if, the image that Percy sees in the mirror, the “cooler” version of himself, is like book accurate Percy. I just think that would be such a funny, messed up little Easter egg.
