Just saw Barbie and it was exactly what I expected, a fun way to kill a couple hours with a good friend dressing up and getting pink food before watching a fairly enjoyable movie I'll probably never watch again

The cast was great as I expected, the big stand outs for me were definitely America Ferrera, she delivers a speech that a lesser actress could have butchered and made incredibly cringe, but she nailed it perfectly for the movie she was in and also Ryan Gosling, he was incredibly genuine in everything he did, he's a very genuine actor in general, you look into his eyes and you believe him everytime

Yes, I understand why Simu's agent staked their whole career on this role

The feminist messaging was very surface level and extremely broad and in no way encapsulates the entirety of intersectional feminism or literally anything past the idea of "women can do anything men can do" and there was also an insanely cringey part where the teenager dresses Barbie down with a whole bad stereotypical gen Z rant about consumer capitalism that really reminds you this movie is being made by a conglomerate of giant corporations and the "Mattel" company in the movie is just .... bad. Absolutely ruins the entire movie. Will Ferrell tried his best, but there was absolutely no way to salavage a single one of those "Mattel" executive parts, so sorry, not even Daniel Day Louis himself coming out of retirement could have sold those roles, they were absolutely awful, Disney channel level of villainry and writing was put into those guys

I have one last thought about a scene I would have done differently, but it's super spoilery so I'm gonna put it under a read more and say my conclusion here,

It was a fun excuse to get dressed up like a Barbie doll and spend the day with my friend, I went in with super low expectations in the hopes that they'd be beaten and they were, it was better than I thought, but also about what I expected. Your uncle buck will complain about the overhanded feminist messaging, but not the way I do! And if you get high like me you might even cry when you think the dad is dead until it's revealed he's actually just off somewhere sucking at Spanish.

All in all Barbie was a fun movie with absolutely nothing under the surface which I will never watch again 💕🫡

Okay, so for all you bitches who've seen the movie or don't care about spoilers, there is a moment where Barbie has to decide whether she wants to be human or not and a montage of a bunch of home family videos starts playing on the screen in a dreamy haze

This moment was at the very end of the movie and it was also The Best Part. Period. Habds down. End of sentence.

And they didn't even execute it right

The montage moves much too slow and it ends way too fast, it should have been the other way around, make it twice as long and twice as fast, have it start of slow and then ramp up more and more and more getting faster and flashier and the music swells and it's huge and big and there's videos of kids at playgrounds intercut with people at funerals and people watching loved ones dying then cut to a wedding and then to a kids first day of school. This montage should have been absolutely jam packed with stuff and it should have been hitting the audience way faster until the end when it hits the cresendo and we cut back to Barbie and the air feels like it gets physically ripped out of her chest violently as she says, "Yes."

In the movie the montage lasts about as long as it took me to think, "oh this is the best scene in the movie" and there's absolutely no moments of sadness in it, like no one at a hospital, no one getting sick, no one grieving, the whole movie is about learning to love the good with the bad and then this montage just shows you kids being goofy and people at bowling alleys, like where is the fucking heart? And then it ends and we cut back to Margot Robbie very delicately saying, "yes"

And that was it

We move on to seeing Barbie in the human world with her human family and this big climacitic moment that should feel the way you feel when symbols crash in a classical song just fizzles

The last scene of the entire movie however I will say was a great way to cap a live action Barbie movie, Margot Robbie's giant grin as she says, "I'm here to see my

Gynecologist!"

Synopsis: When Eden signed her recording contract to become a pop superstar, she hadn't realized she wasn't just signing her creative freedoms away, she was signing much more. Her control over social media, her diet, and even her relationships. When she gets contracted into a relationship with some wannabe rockstar name Jake Kiszka, will she finally find her freedom?

Eden sat in one of the conference rooms of the record labels building, across from Louise, Matt and Bryan, listening to them talk about her album. It gave her a small smugness, knowing that she had an album already done and up her sleeve. Her phone buzzed in her lap, and she glanced down, seeing a text pop up on the screen.

‘Can’t wait to see you tonight xx’ Eden smiled at the message from Jake, quickly typing back the same sentiment. 

“Eden, dear, please pay attention, this is your career we’re laying out in front of you.” Bryan tapped on the table in front of her. She put her phone into her purse, folding her hands on top of the table. “Thank you.”

“So, Eden, we have a couple of songs written, and this one, we’re really excited about!” Louise slid the paper across the table for her, lyrics written on it. Matt pulled up his phone, and music started playing. It was sad, melancholy and Eden read the lyrics on the page.

‘You came into my life and changed it, 

now you’ve disappeared and I’m lost.

I thought you were going to be a perfect fit,

I took a chance at love and look what it cost.’

“Wow, that is….depressing.” Eden glanced up at the writers. ‘And not very good.’  she thought to herself.

“Well it’s a breakup ballad, it should be depressing.” Matt rolled his eyes. He was the least patient person on her team, having bickered with her over his writing the last time he and Louise wrote for her.

“No offense, but this sounds like something a third-grader would’ve written in their journal when their crush didn’t tag them on the playground.” Eden tossed the lyric page back on the table.

“Eden!” Bryan snapped. “That’s an incredibly rude thing to say.”

“It’s also the truth.” Eden shrugged. She was feeling more comfortable and confident in her skin since her trip to the mountains with the boys, and knowing that her own music was in her hands, ready and waiting for the moment to shine was the icing on the cake. “This is my third album. Are you guys trying to make sure it’s going to flop?”

“We’ve been working really hard on this, Eden.” Louise shot a glare across the table towards you as Matt paused the music on his phone. 

“Not hard enough. This is disney channel drivel.” Eden pushed back from the table, standing up and grabbing her bag.  “Bryan, you should look into new writers. Louise and Matt are past their prime, and they’re not going to make you any money on this album.” 

As she walked across the room she turned and looked at Bryan again, giving him a sweet smile.

“Is Mark Ronson still a thing? Maybe give him a call, he’s done wonders with Miley Cyrus. Or get that Ed Sheeran duet, that’d be great, thanks! I’ll see you next week.” and with that, Eden left the conference room, squealing internally at how cooly defiant she just was. As she waited for the elevator, she heard her name being called, and turned, seeing Bryan storming towards her.

“What on earth has gotten into you?” Bryan hissed, lowering his face to be eye level to her. “That was completely uncalled for!”

“No, Bryan, it’s absolutely called for.” Eden seethed. “For six years, I’ve played the part of the sweet, doe-eyed pop princess. I played along, recording songs about gyrating my hips against random men at clubs and trying not to puke at the not-so-subtle allusions to sucking their dicks. I’ve had my clothes, my hair, even my food choices made for me and I’m done, Bryan.” the doors had opened and Eden stepped in, pressing the lobby button and the close door button. As they shut, she spoke once more, standing firmly in her resolve. “You get one more album from me, we’re at least going to make sure it’s not the absolute fucking garbage you normally shit out.”

As she drove home, Eden pulled through a fast food drive thru, ordering the biggest burger and fries meal she could, with a sugary sweet soft drink. She knew her stomach was going to give her hell for it, but her defiant streak was raging and she couldn’t let it stop now. She pressed a few touch buttons on the car screen and waited for her call to pick up.

“Hey Edie, what’s shakin’? she could hear Sam’s grin through the phone and it made her smile. 

“Just got out of a label meeting, got the world’s biggest cheesiest cheeseburger, and am thinking about doing something impulsive. I need a partner in crime.”

“Well I’m always down for a good crime.” Sam laughed. “What did you have in mind?” Eden thought for a few moments.

“I’ll text you the address, can you meet me in like, half an hour?”

“Sure…” Sam now sounded skeptical. “Eden, this isn’t really a crime, is it?” Eden laughed loudly, shaking her head even though she knew he couldn’t see her.

“No, not technically.” she giggled. “I’ll see you in a bit, okay?”

“‘Kay, bye.”

“Are you sure you don’t want one?” Eden looked at Sam as she sat in the chair, trying to ignore the nervous shaking of her stomach. Sam crinkled his nose, shaking his head.

“And mar my perfect skin? Absolutely not.” he took a sip of the latte he’d brought with him as he paced, looking through the different tattoo designs on the walls of the shop. “Are you sure you want to do this? I mean….they’re permanent.”

“What? Oh god, I had no idea!” Eden rolled her eyes, mocking him. Sam shot her a look before she continued. “I’m sure. Technically, I’m not supposed to get a tattoo while under contract, but who cares anymore?”

“You little rebel.” Sam smirked at her as the tattoo artist finished setting up next to her. “What are you getting?”

“Property of Jake Kiszka, right on my left butt cheek.” Eden answered. Sam snorted into his coffee, and Eden laughed. “It’s a flower, on my thigh and hip area…you’ll see it’s gonna be gorgeous.”

“Of course it will be.” Sam finally settled himself on a chair next to you. The flowy light weight skirt she had changed into from her meeting was pulled up on her left thigh, tucked into the leg of her panties. The tattoo artist was walking Eden and Sam through the steps of her placing the stencil on her skin, letting them know what parts were going to suck the most. Sam watched as the color began to drain from Eden’s face, and took her hand in his, squeezing it. “You’re gonna do amazing.”

“Thanks.” she squeezed her eyes shut as the needle gun started buzzing and took a deep breath when the artist began their work. “Okay, this isn’t so awful…it’s bad, but not terrible.”

“Yeah?” Sam asked. Eden nodded. “Then can you loosen up your grip a little? I still have to play music later.”

“Shit, sorry.” Eden let go of Sam’s hand and rested it on the arm of the chair. After a few moments, Sam pulled out his phone, taking a few photos of Eden in the chair, watching the artist work, before grabbing her attention and taking a few selfies with her, fake scared faces and big cheesy grins. “Don’t send any to Jake! I want to surprise him.”

“Got it.” Sam quickly backspaced after putting in Jake’s name on the text, then erased Josh’s too, knowing the twin would definitely show his brother. Danny was the only recipient of the photos, and he immediately responded with a shocked face emoji, and asking if Sam had dared her to do it. “Danny thinks I put you up to this.”

“I mean, is it totally unimaginable?” Eden raised an eyebrow to Sam. 

“Noo.” Sam huffed. The rest of the appointment was spent with Sam pacing anxiously and Eden near falling asleep in the chair after getting used to the needle. When the tattoo was finished, the artist wrapped it, and gave Eden tips and advice on how to let it heal, and sent them on their way.  Once home, Eden grabbed Elton from his cat tree, feeling the soreness from the tattoo come on and just wanting to lay down on her couch. As she got comfy, her purse began to vibrate and she stuffed her hand into it, searching around for her phone while trying not to disturb the orange tabby on her chest.

Her phone was blowing up with texts, barely being able to register what the messages were, just seeing Danny, Sam and Josh’s names popping up over and over.

“I can’t believe this!”

“This is absolute bullshit. I hate them.”

“The karmic retribution will be deliciously horrible.” as Eden tried to catch up on what was happening, Jake’s face appeared on the screen, and she answered the call.

“What’s going on?” he said as soon as Eden said hello.

“Funny, that’s what I was going to ask you. Your brothers are going crazy.” Eden asked confused. “What is everyone talking about?”

“You didn’t see?” Jake asked, exasperated. 

“I’ve been busy for the past few hours, see what?” Eden groaned.

“Apparently, you’re cheating on me.” Jake huffed a laugh, and soon a link to an article was texted to her from him. There was a photo of her at the tattoo shop through the window, standing next to one of the bigger, burlier tattoo artists that was there. Sam was also in the photo, looking uneasy at her side. The article wasn’t talking about Sam, though, it was saying that Eden was flirting with the artist and “sparks were flying”.

“Christ.” Eden sighed. “This is all my fault.”

“How could it be your fault?” Jake scoffed. 

“I may have mouthed off to Bryan this morning at my meeting.” Eden shrank into the couch, waiting for him to go off on her.

“Good, he probably fuckin deserved it.” he said.

“You’re not mad?”

“Eden, I wish I could’ve been there to see it.” he laughed. “Now, are you going to tell me what you and Sam were doing at a tattoo shop in the middle of the day?”

“Well,” she began, biting her lip. “It was supposed to be a surprise, but I got a tattoo, and I really love it.”

“What did you get?”

“Mmm, I’m going to keep that a surprise.” she giggled softly, petting Elton distractedly. “You can see it when you come over tonight.”

“Let me guess,” Jake said excitedly. “Oh, is it my name on your ass?”

“Did you talk to Sam?!”

“No! Why, am I right?”

“Not at all, but I did joke that that’s what I was going to get!” Her and Jake laughed together, and a knock on her front door caught her off guard. She got up from the couch, listening to Jake talk about how he couldn’t wait to see the tattoo, and that next time, he wanted to go with her, and get one himself. As she opened the door, she saw Bryan, looking incredibly pissed off. “Hey, I have to go.”

“Alright, see you tonight.” Eden hung up with Jake and stared at Bryan.

“We need to have some discussions.” Bryan said. “And we’re having them now.”

1999 Jerusalem - Number 22 - Selma Björnsdóttir - "All Out Of Luck"

Iceland hadn't had much success in Eurovision, so when they found themselves in the lead of the voting heading into the last few countries, that winning moment must have been tantalisingly close. For Selma and the delegation from RÚV who had forsaken their national final in order to internally select Selma Björnsdóttir for Eurovision, that winning moment was right there for the taking going into the last two voting countries. Alas Bosnia didn't give them any points, and Selma ended second. It's still Iceland's best ever finish in Eurovision.

Prior to this Selma had two main claims to fame. She'd been the singer in a band called Fantasia who had released to singles in the mid-1990s. Most important is that she is the original Stephanie from LazyTown. It started as a stage play in Iceland in which Selma played the lead, initially out of shape dancer. When Nickelodeon commissioned the TV version in 2003, she also did the choreography for the show.

All Out of Luck could be slightly more grown up version of the show. It's an upbeat pop-dance number. It bounces around defying you not to a least wiggle a toe, if not fully commit to dancing around your bedroom. It was, in part, written by Selma. If I had to guess, I think she played a big part in the choreography too. In a year when Eurovision didn't really know what it was musically any more - this is a fun, safe song that appeals both to Eurovision's past and a commercial, orchestra-less future.

After finishing second, it was inevitable that Iceland would ask her to try again and Selma represented Iceland once more in 2005, although without the same level of success. Selma's future career was pretty much in every conceivable branch of the entertainment industry. She's sung and acted on stage, choreographed shows, directed plays, released five albums and several singles, and dubbed more Disney princesses into Icelandic that you can count. 2023 Grammy Predictions: Big Four Categories

Well here we are. A little more than one month out from the nominations are announced for the 2023 Grammy Awards. Awards season is always my favorite time of year so I'm always thinking about the next award shows, the nominations and the winners. Going into next years Grammy's, we have a lot of competition like always but this year there seems to be a lot more prominent artists in the running than the past few years.

Today, I will be sharing my predictions for the Big Four Categories (Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist) as we gear up for the nominations announcement on November 15th.

I feel pretty good about my predictions for Album of the Year. All of these have good reasoning behind them. Adele, Brandi Carlile, Kendrick Lamar & Beyonce are all well known Grammy favorites. Silk Sonic proved last year that the Grammys also love them. Lizzo's sophomore effort is very solid and I do not think the Grammys will miss out on nominating her again. Harry and Bad Bunny are two of the biggest artists of the year and it would be huge snubs if either missed out. The one surprise on my list might be Jack Harlow's album but I feel confident the Grammys will nominate it because they always choice a mediocre nominee.

Alternates: Motomami by Rosalia & Encanto Soundtrack

Record of the Year is pretty self explanatory. All mainstream hits but I would not be surprised if the Recording Academy swap some of these out (maybe First Class, Shivers, Titi Me Pregunto) for some more indie choices.

Song of the Year is similar to Record but has a few more songwriter heavy choices. I think TV is a special inclusion because its a poignant song and I would be surprised if Billie missed for this category especially. All Too Well (10 Minute Version) should definitely get in here as well.

I just have to start off firstly by saying if you told me a year ago I would be predicting Dove Cameron to be nominated for a Best New Artist Grammy I would say you are out of your damn mind. I mean I've been a fan since I saw the first episode of Liv & Maddie in 2013 but I honestly never thought her music career would ever pop off. It's crazy to think that artists like Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato never got Best New Artist Grammy nominations in their Disney days but Olivia Rodrigo did and Dove Cameron has a good chance to as well. Anywho, this year there is no clear front runner for this category and that makes it very tricky to predict but I feel I have a good feel for the category this year. Lainey & Zach are rising Country artists that I expect to be around for awhile, Latto has risen to be a star this year, as Tate McRae and Dove Cameron have. Muni Long deserves a nomination after a few breakout hits and having been in the game as a songwriter for so long. Omar and Joji are the indie/alternative lovable boys that I can see getting in. Rina is on the rise and I would be thrilled to have her get a nomination and, I think it would be cool in Wet Leg got a nomination here also.

Well, there it is. My predictions for the Big Four categories for the upcoming 2023 Grammy Awards. See you again on November 15th to see how many of these I got write and discuss the craziness that is the Recording Academy's decisions...

Like I said before I would love to see EJ find himself and discover something that makes him happy and decide to pursue a career in that in season 4. Personally I think EJ should pursue a career in filming by being a film director because he seem to enjoy filming Carlos birthday video and he directed the musical at summer camp he can combine both his filming and directing skills by pursuing a career in being a film director. I think he should work behind the scenes for HSM4. 1/2

Maybe Disney watches the documentary see how EJ did a great job directing the musical and they see that he listed filming as one of his talents on his file and ask him if he wants to help make HSM4. There is this new character in S4 named Quinn who is a film director I am l assuming she will be the director of HSM4 maybe EJ can help her out somehow and they bond over their love for filming. Maybe EJ can go to her for career advice if he is thinking about pursing a career in film. 2/2

I love this idea! I really love the idea of EJ having Quinn the director to ask for career advice and learn from like he did with Mr Mazarra. They opened so many doors for all of the characters with the documentary in s3 (and I have a feeling after s4 when they begin to phase out more characters bc of graduation they're gonna bring it back up and be like "they're moving on to pursue an acting/singing/etc career thanks to the doc"). I wish they would've revisited the film making thing for EJ in season 3 somehow...it was like season 2 never happened. He had a huge opportunity to talk to actual producers and filmmakers so you'd think he would've talked with Channing or Corbin or some random producer to find out how to pursue that or to see what it's like. He LOVED making that film for Carlos and working with Mr Mazarra in s2 and so you'd think he'd enjoy directing the show since filming and directing go hand in hand but he didn't even seem to like directing which was just kind of sad. Like they could have at least shown him starting to enjoy it and having a "this is what I want to do with my life" moment. Tbh I think the writers/producers kinda dropped a lot of plot/storylines bc they just wanted to rush through season 3, create the ending they wanted, and get to season 4 asap. Like I genuinely didn't feel like they really cared at all about s3. but I digress.

EJ deserves a happy storyline for season 4. Even though he apparently won't be in the beginning of it or in much of it at all, I hope they use the potential they created to give him a good explanation for being absent. Like he's pursuing filmmaking/directing or acting and when he shows back up it's to be part of HSM4 in some capacity. I can just imagine so many different scenarios of Disney or some other talent agents calling up EJ and being like "so we saw you on Disney+ and you'd be perfect for this role" or a college with a filmmaking program offering him a spot for the fall or something. I think it would be interesting to show that all of the kids are getting offered opportunities (but EJ is the only one who can pursue anything currently bc he doesn't have school). They have so much to work with and so much potential for season 4, and give EJ a really nice exit like Nini or just a nice happy ending/future. I have no faith in these writers though. They seem very determined to have the story be this weirdly specific way they've imagined it, which is fine but season 3 felt like they were trying to forcefully zip an overfull suitcase and they did get it zipped but the extra clothes are gonna make the zipper burst at any second. There were moments that felt like the past seasons but overall it was more like a Wattpad story written by a 13 year old than a Disney show that goes through professional editing and stuff (a lot of it I think was bc of the short episode count). It was just odd. I hope season 4 is more like the first 2 seasons.

Also if EJ doesn't get his moment to sing Scream I will fight someone.

Emily’s New Job

Okay, I’m a bit behind here, but I want to talk about the play Emily is doing, why it doesn’t worry us, and then some suspicious things she’s been posting that we think are hints. 

First, everyone always gets really nervous when she gets a new job. You shouldn’t. By now, it’s obvious that AMC, ABC, and plenty of other entities (Disney and Marvel for Danai, Emily’s music career, etc.) all coordinate together. She’s not going to take a gig that would compromise what she already has set up with AMC. 

So first, here’s a short convo we all had when the news of her new play broke. Just giving you this so you can hear our thoughts on why y’all shouldn’t be so worried about this. Then we’ll get into the suspicious TD clues.

Emily got a role in a play. Looks like this is a wonderful opportunity for her. Now the little sad response face and tears are starting, and I foresee people losing their shit over this announcement. Why does everything have to be either blazing hot or freezing cold? She got a job. I'm so happy for her. Why does the majority of people on an instant are ready to jump off the cliff about something like this? Why can't people look at that and think that probably anything that Emily is tied to with TWD would not be affected at all?

The fact that she had several weeks missing earlier this summer where she could have been filming, plus she was in Atlanta, Georgia back in the spring for a comic convention, it seemed that she was there a lot longer than need be and it was also during this time that Andy was seen in the area. How quickly people want to forget the good possibilities and go directly to the bad ones.

After all these years they are obviously wanting to keep Beth being alive as a major series reveal and if that's true, then any filming would have already been done for s11 and Daryl's spin-off. Something else I had thought about while watching the first episode of Tales: I don't remember hearing anything about their filming. It is obvious that Tales was filmed this past winter, early spring according to the clothing choices and the trees starting to bud. There were some locations that looked very familiar, so I imagine they were in Georgia on the down low filming at the same time that the regular TWD was filming. TWD has proven over the years that they can film things without the public being aware of it.

For sure! I totally agree about Emily. I’ve been saying that for years. EVERY time she gets a job people freak out and decide TD is wrong. But I think by the time she is revealed, she’ll already have filmed all the scenes she will have needed for that set. And the fact that they’re making the point to announce it is a distraction.

As far as I'm concerned nothing has changed for her TWD return. TWD s11 is in the can and Daryl's spin-off is 6 episodes and won't air until sometime next summer. No real date on when filming, that is the filming in France being done publicly for promotional buzz will start. Good for Emily to have a part in a play instead of just hanging out. An actress needs to act.

She has plenty of time for filming and I also always thought it was suspicious that they made such a show of taking down the Alexandria set, cutting the lawn, selling off parts of the property. I get that they really won’t be filming there moving forward. But the AMC lot is like 15 acres. (Or maybe it’s more like 40? I don’t remember, but it’s huge, and most of that is just woods.) They’re trying really hard to make people think they aren’t filming anything there at all.

Public seeing no filming=public believing no filming is being done.

I don't really believe there's anything at that Studio going on right now but my understanding is that Fear is supposed to be starting filming in the Savannah area soon so I could see them possibly using the TWD studio and properties for different TWDU projects it makes sense that they would.

Hey guys! I totally agree with everything you’re saying. Maybe it’s because I’m somewhat of a newbie but this stuff completely skips my radar lol. Emily lives in LA and has a whole private calendar that exists beyond her Instagram acct. I think social media fools some ppl into thinking they can track a person’s every move. But she doesn’t post that much, tbh!

And unless you hired a private detective to follow her 24/7 there’s no way to know if she’s on a plane to Atlanta. It’s not like she’s Johnny Depp. She can easily fly under the radar if that’s what tptb want her to do. The fact she was publicly in Atlanta at all during the final weeks of filming was insane to me all by itself. Could mean nothing, could mean everything. But yeah, I think it’s a waste of time to get bummed out about her being in a play lol. Like, go her!

Also, I get the sense that over the last several years, AMC has been tighter lipped with filming because spoilers have become such a major threat to the entertainment landscape. Leaked footage has completely ruined some major video game releases over the past two years, and I can only imagine how hard it is to deal with TV, because like you need boots on the ground, and there are sets and many different famous ppl to coordinate at once.

I imagine, this being the final season, they are doing absolutely everything they can to keep things as secretive as possible. So, things like filming, especially for high profile scenes and characters, are going to be tightly controlled and probably offset with other news and things for purposes of subterfuge. Like this spoiler photos that came out were JUST interesting enough to get ppl talking for 48 hours but they really revealed zero real information about what to come, and that makes me feel they were probably coordinated by tptb themselves to satiate the masses and let them think they’re in control. So….yeah. No worries over here!! Lol.

Okay, so in my mind, that is that. Then, a few days later, Emily posted something that really raised my eyebrows. Over the past few weeks, she’s posted notes from scripts and such. I’ve been posting about how suspicious that is, because whatever project it was for hadn’t been announced, and there are other things that qualify as TD clues, so maybe it’s TWD she’s learning lines for.

I think the idea is that they want us to believe she was learning lines for this play. And maybe she was. This play is a real thing and obviously she would need to learn her lines. But notice how she hasn’t posted these kinds of things for other projects she’s had. Maybe a few things here and there, but not to this extent. It’s like they REALLY want us to believe this is all she’s doing right now. And if they are trying to hard to make us believe that, it’s because they’re distracting from something else. 

So, a few days after news of her play broke, Emily posted this:

It was actually a short video, panning over all the comments on this script. I just got a couple of screenshots that show most of them.

She writes, "found this in my script" as though someone left these kind notes for her. But, I kinda think Emily herself wrote them. I don't mean that in a weird, narcissistic way. Rather, maybe she was doodling this some time ago and just found it again. I found another example of her handwriting, posted on her account a while back, and they look the same to me.

So, we have the dinosaur doodle again. I say again, because she draws this fairly often, as though it's almost a signature or nick name. In fact, just a few days before, she posted this one:

But because of the dinosaur TD stuff, I kind of think that's why she does it. so we see it again. Even the I 💖 U, dinosaur. And then she zeroes in on one comment that says it was the best acting I've ever "scene," which she corrects to "seen."

Not exactly a TD smoking gun. Just feels like she's emphasizing the seen/seeing/eye stuff. I like to think that she wants us to think this is the script to the play she's working on, but maybe it's something else. The script to something linked to the dinosaur symbolism, perhaps? 😉

I love the dinosaur but the thing that really stands out to me is the phrase, drink lots of water. First of all, water! The other thing is that's what Daryl told Beth about drinking alcohol, drink a lot of water. Also the big black heart on white paper that is very much in the shape of a V.

Summary:

Phantoms, the new Network TV show, recently got picked up for its second season and filming is already underway. The show follows a special government unit tasked with dealing with the supernatural. The series will return Marci Harrison who portrays the lead detective in charge of a group of junior detectives (Reggie Peters, Alex Mercer, Kayla Caro), forensic scientists (Luke Patterson and Julie Molina), and a rookie detective (Flynn Rider). 

Julie Molina is enjoying her time on Phantoms, the supernatural detective show. It had been her saving grace after being blacklisted from basically everywhere following her media feud with former Disney Channel costar Carrie Wilson that tanked her music career before it even started.

But with rumors that the show isn’t going to get a third season, Julie is worried about her career completely ending with no jobs or recording contracts in sight.

Add in the fact that even if they get a third season, Julie’s costar might leave the show and go off to pursue his music career.

And Julie is trying to understand why said costar potentially leaving is making her so upset.

Phantoms, the new Network TV show, recently got picked up for its second season and filming is already underway. The show follows a special government unit tasked with dealing with the supernatural, the characters teasingly referring to themselves as ghost hunters. The series will return Marci Harrison who portrays the lead detective in charge of a group of junior detectives (Reggie Peters, Alex Mercer, Kayla Caro), forensic scientists (Luke Patterson and Julie Molina), and a rookie detective (Flynn Rider).

Marci Harrison, 46, affectionally called Mrs. Harrison by her costars, is definitely the most veteran member of the cast, previously starring in two other shows for the Network, playing a teacher on the hit ten-season show Recess, and is recently coming off of a four-season show starring as the mother on Home with the Houses. Mrs. Harrison plays Captain Hopkins, the serious no-nonsense lead detective constantly dealing with the antics of her younger and less experienced detectives.

Flynn Rider, 22, plays detective Fiona, the fun and wild rookie whose first day on the job opened up the series. Rider previously played the youngest daughter in the Freeform show, Life with the Clarks, for eight seasons, spending almost her entire teens growing up on the show. She also has been announced as part of the cast for the new superhero movie coming next Spring. Rider was moved up to second billing behind Harrison for the second season, the showrunners stating that it was always the plan and that the show will spend time following her storyline.

Alex Mercer, 24, and Reggie Peters, 24, play detectives Allan and Rick respectively. The two play the buddies on the show, with Peters playing the more chaotic and jokester of the two and Mercer playing the more levelheaded one, although his character still gets roped into all of the antics. Mercer previously starred on a handful of Nickelodeon shows while Peters has spent a lot of time doing voice work and only a few camera jobs.

Kayla Caro, 24, plays the strong detective Kristen, who has the most experience of the detectives besides their captain and spends a lot of time putting the guys in their place and kicking ass. Caro spent many years in the industry, modeling and doing many commercials. She is most known for her dancing, specifically as a troupe dancer on Dancing with the Stars for two seasons. She also starred as the love interest in the superhero-themed Disney Original Movie, Super Senior.

Julie Molina, 22, and Luke Patterson, 24, might be last on the cast list, but the two have been slowly gaining a small but mighty following for their portrayal of science duo Dr. Jane Ortega and Logan Guise. The two characters take care of the forensic side of the show, playing the inseparable best friends and partners who might be a little nerdy and cannot always understand the social cues of their fellow team members. Molina is best known for her lead role on the Disney Channel show Dirty Candies but is known even more for the very public feud with her costars Carrie Wilson and Nick Danforth-Evans. Patterson has probably the most extensive resume out of all of the younger cast, even rivaling Harrison. Patterson has worked since he was a small child, starring in many movies, tv shows, and commercials since. Patterson has also been announced as the lead for Frank Wolfe’s new film about a struggling indie rockstar. Molina and Patterson had previously worked together on the  Disney Channel's Original Movie Meddling, playing the older siblings of the two main characters that they try to get together.

After barely getting picked up for season two, showrunner and executive producer Caleb Covington says that he plans on making the second season more impactful, with more character development, more spooky (and a little wacky) storylines, and scenes to really show off the talented casts acting chops.

anon pls. I was following as the Aaliyah casting was going down in 2014 so I'll let uk the timeline. Technically Aaliyah lifetime movie was supposed to be the first thing that z did after Shake it up. So keep in mind that she around 16/17 years old, her parents are still managing her career, and she trying to be the next RnB popstar. Her team in particular were trying to push her as the next Aaliyah and they felt this movie would help solidify this. (You can even see pics of her on the red carpet of her trying to dress like Aaliyah). The general public (specifically black Twitter) did NOT like z for the role because she had a Disney background ***primarily*** The colorism conversation was there, but it was NOT prominent reason why ppl disliked the casting decision. It was only later when Alexandria Shipp took on the role of Aaliyah AND Storm from x men that ppl really starting taking note of colorism which is around 2016. Z and her mom gave an interview where she LATER realized that she was not suited for the role of Aaliyah and there were some parts she wasn't right for ( I can't find the exact interview but I do know it was for a teen magazine - cosmopolitan I think). The Aaliyah situation and her music contract situation was a real growing moments for her that she has used to shape her career. So when she said the famous quote that she auditions for white girl roles, people (particularly black ppl) believed her because she has shown that she grown from her past mistakes as a teenager and has not repeated it again. Girls in her similar peer group kept making the same mistake over and over again until they lost support from Black Twitter.

Question for the day: When did I stopped writing and journaling my good thoughts and emotions and things that are okay in my life?

Let's start this year but in the month of hearts. ❤️

When i imagine myself starting journaling again, I can only think of bulleting or summarizing my past thoughts which are all negative, this is what I had in mind:

Got allergies 🤧 during new year's eve celebration 🍾 while at my husband's family gathering causing bad energies

I got LAID OFF from my beloved company. This is my current situation and I'm job hunting still. This caused and triggered one of my dilemmas, how will I support my mother now?

But I forgot all the great things.

I have friends and family

I have support

I am grateful

I am loved

I am not alone in this kind of situation

When i got laid off, I did not hesitate to tell my closest relatives. They came to our place. We never discussed about it without me opening the topic first. They just went there for the presence and company. I appreciated that.

My best friend also came over. She's kind of experiencing a challenge and change in her career life which I think made me realize that I am not alone and we all just fighting and braving this life.

I have a husband now, I have a great support system. He's strong, well mannered, making decent and honest decisions. I still admire his integrity even after a year of living together and seeing all his sides. He's one of a kind and I love him and I think he should run for presidency but I love him selfishly so I will not let that happen.

I am reading this book now titled: "Why Has Nobody Told Me This Before" by Dr. Julie Smith and I am listening to this Disney Piano Version of "Snow White: Someday My Prince Will Come" and I remembered that this is the VERY FIRST MUSIC/SOUND that I remembered. I mean this is the first tune that I recognized when I started to gain my consciousness as a child.

And this black cat 🐈‍⬛ bookmark is from London. A treasure and one of the oldest things in this house right now. Belonged to uncle Dave's mother. I am also wearing a ring that once belonged to her.

Sammi still had to go in to have her doctor monitor her tumor, and much to the family’s delighted joy, it was shrinking thanks to the medication that she was put onto, though not as fast as predicted. “Sammi, you’re recovering from having a tumor in your head- do forgive me if I’m worried about you!” I clucked, laughing as she sent me a patronizing glare before pointing off towards the door that led down into the garage. “I’m the oldest of the Bradley triplets- it’s kinda my job!”

“MC.” Here, Sammi shot me another look. “Go.”

“Sweetheart! We need to go!”

“Fine,” I muttered, closing the door behind me as I trudged down the stairs.

I found that Peter had started the car and pulled out from the garage, not leaving until I had closed the passenger door and clicked my seatbelt on.

“We ready?” he asked before catching sight of the look on my face. “Sweetheart, what’s with that look on your face?” I could only shrug as I tugged my heated blankie up to cover my lap and legs. “Sweetheart, if you’re worrying about Sammi, then I feel inclined to remind you that Isabelle’s there and knows what to look for- slurred speech, unable to walk in a straight line, droopy face…”

At her last doctor’s appointment, Dr. Lamb gave me a list of things to keep an eye out for and if Sammi started to showcase any of these symptoms, then it was time for her to go to the hospital. I had Peter text Ryley, who then told us that she’d be Sammi’s personal doctor just in case.

“Yeah, but like I said before- I’m the eldest out of the Bradley triplets,” I repeated myself in a firmer voice. “I had to step up and become the parents to my sisters after mom and dad flaked out from it.”

“Sweetheart, you were forced to grow up after despicable excuse of a human being raped you, and rather then being good parents and supporting you and loving you and showing you that they still cared about you, your mom chose to stay quiet about the whole thing to stay in Paris with your dad mom chose to stay quiet about the whole thing to stay in Paris with your dad,” he snorted out dangerously through his nose. “They refused to do anything when Kody Williams was hassling you, they parentified you by forcing you to step up and nurture your sister’s emotional needs… I am so happy that your mom is dead and you’ve cut off your father.”

I smiled up at him before settling back for the drive with Chris Stapleton on the radio, crooning a sweet love song about a dog named Maggie and the long, happy life that she led.

“Mommy?” Katie called out just then, drawing my attention to her. “What do you think Mr. Ken’s super-duper ultra top secret Broadway musical project is going to be?”

“I honestly have no idea mo stór,” I confessed. “Although, I can only guess!”

“What are you guessing mommy?” she asked as Peter pulled into the parking lot of the Paper News Theater. “Can you tell me? Please? Please? Please? Please? Please? Please? Please? Please?”

“Why don’t you get out and ask Mr. Ken himself?” I asked, pointing my lips over to where Ken Anderson was shoveling the walkway free of snow. This only prompted both her and Elizabeth to jump out of her father’s Nissan NV 3500, knocking into poor Ken Anderson and plowing his over in their excitement.

“Girls!” I squawked, flinging the passenger side door open and stepping out, a shrill squeal slipping back my lips as my foot skidded on an icy puddle and I crashed down onto my butt.

“Sweetheart!” Peter began howling with laughter at the light of us all, guffaw with utter amusement as he got out of the driver’s seat and carefully made his way over to me. “Are you alright?”

“I’m fine, thank you for asking!” Ken Anderson pouted as Elizabeth and Katie both helped him up. “Don’t mind me, I’m just fine!”

“That’s good to hear, Mr. Ken!” Katie chirped happily, taking his hand as he led us into the back. “Now what is your super-duper ultra top secret Broadway musical project is going to be?”

I once had the opportunity to pitch a line of products to the Michael’s craft store! I had to do a presentation in front of 500+ people and nearly passed out from stage fright. My pitch wasn’t selected but as horribly as this went, it’s one of the things I’m more proud of myself for doing.

I have four mini Australian shepherds (what I refer to as the Aussie Posse). 3/4 are named from Disney movies (Wendy Darling, Mr. Banks, and Gus Gus) and the last one comes from We Bought a Zoo (Peaches).

I’ve recently decided to go back to school to pursue a career change and hopefully become an elementary teacher in the next few years. Another scary thing I’m proud of myself for doing!

But if I could pursue a degree in absolutely anything even if I’d probably never end up using it, it would be traditional architecture. Not a fan of modern, but like… the classical orders up to gothic era? Swoon.

I’ve been RPing for right at 5 months now and @climatact was the one who got me into it. :3 We started out as fanfic buddies and it gradually turned into RP after she picked it up following a bit of a break! It’s one of those things that now that I’m doing it I’m like “how did I spend my free time without this?!” 😱🥹

Some other muses I’ve considered RPing include Kunikida, Yosano, Kenji and Akutagawa from BSD, Jareth and/or Sarah from Labyrinth, Greeling from FMA:B, Captain Hook or Emma Swan (or a LOT of other characters) from Once Upon a Time, and the Mad Hatter from Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland movies.

I love writing a character with a traumatic back story and Lots of Thoughts ™️. Angst, dark topics, etc - like, give me the muses that have been just completely psychologically twisted to play with. I hate and love that I’m like this.

What song comes up most when replying?: I tend to only be able to write to instrumental music, and my default is Luna - BrunuhVille.

Do you snack while replying?: nope! I am very one track mind. I cannot multitask.

Which of your verses/aus is your favorite?: literally all of them with @climatact (four we’ve developed in the past few months so far!) Heartverse will always be my favorite as it’s both my first AU and first RP experience as a whole but the brain rot for Tangerine Trysts, Godverse, and Mikan Meadows is HIGH as well.

Do you have a song(s) you associate with a particular ship?: I’m actually really bad at miss and ship song matching for some reason. Probably because my taste in music is sad, angsty, and break up/heartbreak stuff? And I don’t want that for my ships. 😭 (okay I love angst so I kind of do but… that’s not how I wanna rep them as a whole!) I need to dedicate a day to listening through my playlist with this intent in mind so maybe more on this later. Basically I’ve just copied and pasted Bunny’s entire LawNa playlist. :3

Lol, movie stuff- HS’s boat name in Dunkirk filming. OW was in Tron: Legacy & Babylon (makes me think of Carole King & Rolling Stones music) - TS had common co-stars. Sparks books ref in EHC mv & her shared titles ?3- I wonder if HS will star in one (the author wants him to be in adaptation of his latest- Dreamland)? Eastwood’s son - who was in WD mv- starred in one with DO’s ex. DO starred as “Stiles” in Teen Wolf. It really is a small world. Tea references in TS song made me think of Disney’s Mrs. Potts or Tee time as in golf (Blank Space). Lol, Someone said the bridge in End Game mv is from Harry Potter- (why are there bicycles in the first shot, but not the second)? Jack’s Bleacher’s mv for Love, Simon film faintly starts with a New Year’s song. I think (but not certain) there were at least 3xs NY, NY by Sinatra that occured with HS- he sang karaoke as a child, Haylor NYE, & ONO in NY for 3rd album. Not related, but past movies- Willow & Matilda- made comebacks- one as a sequel on Disney+ & the other a film Musical (trailer was energetic). Wondering, did TS have a similar dog in Bad Blood & End Game? Did you watch High Fidelity movie? It was about a guy who sold vinyls and ZK’s mom was in it.

BTW, Hope you caught Love Actually reunion interview- I only caught half. 2 decades, wow, kinda like J-Lo timeframe regarding her new music project. Probably stuff you already knew, but I was curious.

''Michael Jackson… The name still resonates with millions around the world, evoking dozens of hit songs and unforgettable performances that were an other–worldly experience for those who witnessed it – Michael Jackson at the height of his powers. I was one of Michael's biggest fans, long before I started working for him, so when I got a call from Michael saying he wanted me to be his official spokesperson and publicist, it was a dream come true ! I was thrilled, needless to say, when I heard his gentle voice on the other end of the line saying, “Stuart, I just want to say how happy I am to have you on board as part of the team. I can't wait to meet you. I just want to say, 'Welcome'." I reflected on that special moment as I sat at the Neil Simon Theater in New York earlier this year, waiting for the curtain to rise on another sold-out MJ performance: The Michael Jackson Musical.

I started working for Michael in the spring of 2002 as part of a new management team that was dedicated to reviving Michael's career, not just through his music, but through a number of visionary ventures that would further his artistic vision. I still have vivid memories of those heady, emotional days and our first meeting when I flew to Neverland from Vancouver. As I drove through the iconic gates on a sunny morning, past the thousands of flowers that lined the shaded walkways, the melodic strains of Walt Disney, coming from cleverly hidden speakers, gently drew me into the magical world of Neverland. Michael was having lunch in the courtyard behind his impressive Tudor home, so I joined him, his nanny Grace Rwaramba, Blanket, Paris and Prince, aged eleven months and five and six years old respectively, along with their manager Dieter Wiesner who he met in Germany in 1995 and who has become a father figure to him over the years. “Nice to meet you, Stuart,” he said, shaking my hand enthusiastically. A strong, firmer grip than I'd expected.

He introduced me to Paris and Prince, explaining that I worked for him and that I was from Canada. Paris' eyes widened. I didn't know what she'd read or knew about Canada, but she was curious about my country, for the words tumbled out of her mouth with engaging naivety: "Does it always snow in Canada, Stuart?" she asked. I smiled. “No, Paris, and we don't all live in igloos either.” She laughed. Dieter, Michael and I discussed the team's plans for his career and I spoke to him about his fans, telling him how lucky he was to have the best fans in the world, and that we planned to reach them in new and unprecedented ways. Michael responded immediately, saying how much he loved his fans and appreciated their support. “Stuart, outside of my family, my fans are the most important thing to me. So I jumped in the golf cart again and we were off, arriving moments later. Michael led me into the lobby and proudly showed me the theater itself with its fifty burgundy seats.

“Stuart, I want to show you something,” he said. He opened a side door and I followed him into a large room with about a dozen hangers with their costumes, uniforms and also sequined gloves. "Stuart, check this out," he said, taking a black hat from a basket and tossing it over his head with a mischievous smile. He started moonwalking. I was transfixed, mesmerized by the illusion of Michael walking backwards and I, feeling a shiver run through me as I witnessed him perform his iconic dance move. He did it twice beside the mirror — a private performance by the legend himself. I felt so privileged in that moment, so touched by his generosity of spirit and his gift of friendship. What do you think of that, Stuart? he chuckled, lifting his hat and smiling at me. “Here, I want you to have this,” he said, tossing me his hat. “I know we will do great things together.” We returned home and joined Dieter and I said goodbye. To my surprise, as I was leaving, he ran out of the house with a book in his hand. “Stuart,” he yelled. “I want you to have this.” I knew Michael loved comics and had always wanted to buy Marvel so he perhaps hoped the team could help him rekindle that dream as he delivered to me, Comic Wars: How Two Tycoons Battled Over the Marvel Comics Empire — And Both Lost, by Dan raviv.

I opened it and read the inscription he'd written: "Stuart, thank you so much for your help and please don't make plans for the next decade." Sadly, Michael's career would begin the down–ward spiral that would end in his tragic and untimely death. Yes, memories of Michael came back to me at the Neil Simon Theater as the show unfolded, a brilliant montage of Michael Jackson hits from Billie Jean, Beat It, Thriller and so many others, performed by the brilliant Myles Frost. The show was spectacular, with a standing ovation at the end. I knew then, without a doubt, that Michael was back. His tarnished reputation was rapidly fading from memory, and his music and artistry remained invincible. After the show, I mingled with the crowd outside on 42nd Street, soaking up the excitement that only blockbuster Broadway shows can provide, and congratulating Myles the next day on his incredible performance. Michael wasn't just back, his legacy as the greatest artist in history is assured. I remembered what Brian Oxman, his longtime associate, had told me when I joined the team as Michael's spokesman: “Working for Michael Jackson is almost mystical. It is an experience you will never forget, something that will stay with you for the rest of your life.”

Michael is gone now, but his memory lives on in the hearts and minds of his millions of fans around the world, who keep the flame of Michael's life and spirit burning brightly in their hearts. Yes, he truly was the King of Pop, but he was also a kind spirit who tried to make the world a better place through his art, lift humanity out of its suffering, and create a better future for children.
