please report @jeessisie. they are a scammer pretending to be an orphan from gaza who just sent me an ask that's copy pasted from their pinned trying to get donations. the account was made yesterday with five posts. another friend of mine received an ask last week from another account with similar claims. in light of that, it seems like a good time for this

things to look out for to see if you are dealing with a scammer:

account is only a few days old with only a few posts

tries to be polite: does not demand aid, just if you can find it in your heart

notes on pinned donation post have other people who are also looking through the blog after getting an ask and seeing it is fake

using images that can be traced back to other accounts through reverse image search

most of the time, someone in actual need will send the post to an account that is one of the bigger voices on the matter and will be willing to verify their identity and situation. a scammer will send out asks en masse to smaller blogs preying on peoples' good nature and will not be willing or able to verify who they claim to be
