Zapałaliśmy miłością do kolejnego miejsca na naszej rejsowej 🛳️ trasie 🥰 To miejsce to cudowna Malaga. To hiszpańskie miasto jest najcieplejszym miastem w kraju. Przez przeszło 300 dni w roku świeci tu słońce ☀️ a temperatury nawet zimą rzadko spadają poniżej 15 stopni. Na zanurzenie się w bogactwie Malagi mieliśmy zaledwie kilka godzin, a całkiem sporo udało nam się zobaczyć. Na naszej trasie odwiedziliśmy: ✅ latarnię morską nazywaną La Farola, ✅ dostępną dla ♿️ plażę, ✅ nadmorską promenadę, ✅ park gdzie papugi latają jak w Polsce wróble, ✅ urocze uliczki starej części miasta, ✅ twierdzę Alcazaba, która kiedyś broniła miasta przed piratami, ✅ teatr rzymski, ✅ muzeum i dom Picassa, który urodził się w Maladze, ✅ monumentalną katedrę. Having a Physical Disability

When I was a child, I didn't know that I have a serious knees problem. I only found when I was in middle school. I was with a friend from school. We went to the Rainforest Cafe in Towson mall. I was chasing my friend when my left knee cap slipped out of place. I fell down on the floor. I was in tons of pain, I never felt that much pain in my whole life. So my parents decided to take me to see a special orthopedic doctor at Medstar. His name is Dr. Richard Hinton, he recommended that I should have surgery to fix my problem knees. He told me that both of my knees have the same condition. I decided to have surgery for both knees. One knee at a time. In the long run I had four knees surgeries two on each knee. I went through lots of physical therapy. I have been with my physical therapist since the beginning, her name is Kimberly. Kimberly works for Medstar Physical Therapy. I can't play any sports, run,and and twist. I feel very uncomfortable about who I am. I wish I had normal knees. I have to wear a small knee brace all the time. Growling up with this disability takes lots out of me. I am embarrassed about others people opinion. After having two surgeries on my left knee, I still have problems with my knee. I am always afraid when my knee is going to slip. I can't have a normal life. I been telling everyone my left knee is not fixed. I really just wanted my left leg amputated so I don't have to worry. I did all my research about have my leg amputated. That is what I want in life. 😣🦵🏽👩🏻‍🦽‍➡️🩼

Disability Horizons Magazine is closing. DH Shop will continue, it's business as usual.

Martyn Sibley has just posted an article about the closure of DH magazine https://disabilityhorizons.com/2023/03/disability-horizons-set-to-close-after-12-wonderful-years/

DH shop will continue trading. It's business as usual, please be reassured that things will continue. The shop was a joint project with DH and my company Equip-Able Ltd. The shop has been run separately from the magazine, and we are not closing! We intend to move the shop to https://disabilityhealthshop.com/ later this year. This new domain will also host all the articles from the DH magazine and will be an ongoing resource for the disabled community.

It will continue to be a platform for quality suppliers of independence aids and help to launch new entrepreneurs and their designs. I intend to commission articles similar to those on the shop blog currently: reviews, lifestyle information, new products, gift suggestions and themed marketing around disability, new designs that make life easier and assist independent living.We still have a lot of people to reach and sales to make and I hope all my existing and new customers will stay for the ride (and the excellent customer service and new inventions!).
