3/6/22 Work in progress. I’m frustrated with this piece. It’s calling for a bunch of 3 strand half crosses in this medium beige color on the white cat’s body. I don’t love half crosses for applications like this and I feel like the color scheme is overall too dark. Is this even going to look like a white cat when I’m done? (If I ever get done?) on top of that, instead of the quiet, boring year I so dearly wished for, both my life and the world is currently a shit storm lit on fire.

4/25/21 Work in progress. I didn’t stitch a lot, but I scoured through Facebook and Instagram for as many pictures of Calypso as I could find to get her markings right. I also wanted to adjust that back foot, it looks weird hanging off of the piano keys.

11/22/21 Work in progress. I worked on the white highlights on the top edge of the piano keys tonight, so it’s a little hard to see. Making even small changes to this pattern really has a ripple effect on placement of other things. I was free handing a section and realized I had better establish those whit highlights first and then adjust from there. I hope it all works out in the end 🙈.

10/25/21 Work in progress. As I was finishing up the black I noticed I had one line of stitches through the left side of the face that were overlapped backwards which was creating a “seam” on the face so I picked out the under stitch and restitched it over. I also finished the outline of the white area on the neck. I THINK that was the last of the pure black. Now to decide whether to rinse the piece to make 100% sure the black won’t run or trust that it won’t and keep stitching in lighter colors 🤷🏻‍♀️🙈

1/19/22 Works in progress. Started/finished a new color of my main WIP. Started this decomposition diagram for a friend as a special request. It will be my car project. I absolutely hate that the pattern only has colored squares with no symbols, but I’ll power through.
