MANILA – A total of PHP6.3 million in livelihood assistance were provided to several workers’ groups in Mindoro (Occidental and Oriental), Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan (Mimaropa), the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) regional office reported on Wednesday.

In a news release, DOLE Mimaropa director Albert Gutib said the livelihood aid was given to marginalized workers to help them recover from the impact of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19 pandemic).

The beneficiaries from the provinces of Mindoro and Romblon include fishers association, coconut farmers, tricycle drivers, motorcycle shop workers, women’s group, and displaced workers.

In Mindoro, 96 members of fishers’ organization and tricycle drivers association received PHP725,000 assistance from the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP).

In Occidental Mindoro, the Samhahan ng mga Inang Nagkakaisa ng Tahanan Association (SINTA) also received PHP500,000 assistance for their bakery project.

Also, 500 more displaced workers in the province benefitted from the PHP1.6-million Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program.

The beneficiaries are in addition to the 5,765 beneficiaries already provided with emergency employment assistance in the province at the height of the community quarantine.

In Romblon, the DOLE released PHP1 million to Sta. Maria Coconut Farmers and Processing Association (SMCFPA) for their production of high value-added coconut products.

Gutib said the SMCFPA is the first producer of coconut oil in the Province of Romblon. They are also assisted by the Department of Science and Technology in producing quality cooking oil.

Likewise, it released PHP1.5 million emergency employment assistance to informal workers in the municipality of Concepcion, Romblon. The workers received daily wage assistance through the TUPAD or emergency employment program.

“Our region is divided into island provinces but our team is one and united and determined to bring our package of assistance to our people especially to the vulnerable workers amid the crisis,” he added.

The beneficiaries rendered 10-day work, such as sanitation and disinfection, including repacking and distribution of relief goods in their community.

Each beneficiary received PHP3,200 based on the prevailing minimum wage in the region.

One of the TUPAD beneficiaries, Rolando Familaran said the employment assistance was a big help to him and also to the community since he received compensation and at the same time they were able to clean their area.

“I’m very thankful because I was able to earn and also help in cleaning our community. This is a big help to all of us especially during this time,” he added.

The TUPAD program is a community-based package of short-term wage employment assistance of the department to mitigate the impact of calamities, disasters, and pandemics on workers in the informal economy. (PR)

This morning Russia has bombed cities all over Ukraine, including the centre of Kyiv. They are targeting critical infrastructure and civilians! It's terrorism.

Do not stay silent. Call your politicians and representatives out for not doing enough, demand more support, go to protests and donate money to the Ukrainian military, for example via United24. If you want this war to end with as few civilian casualties as possible, then it needs to end fast and the only way to achieve that is with modern weapons systems!

in case this gets drowned out in all the coverage about the parasites in chief (both the old and the new) let me be the one to tell you:

the Ukranian army is cutting through Russian defense lines like a hot knife through butter. within just a few days of their Northeast/Kharkiv counter offensive they already reached Luhansk, the easternmost region of the country. Russian troops are either abandoning their equipment and positions to run for the hills (or as Kremlin propaganda puts it “to regroup”) or they surrender en masse. finally some good fucking news!

hahaha well anon, glad you like it. but what's there to share? he's a smol boy, probably the initial reason for why I prefer smol men tbh. I've already had an inkling of a teacher/professor kink before but it definitely manifested long-term because of him. if you wanna know what he looks like, some of my school friends used to call him a dollar store Richard Gere lol which, I get what they mean but I would say teacher boy is much hotter.

he was my history teacher in grade 9/10 during which I had big trouble concentrating - made even harder by the fact I was sitting in front row, literally RIGHT opposite the teacher desk. moment of silence for poor 15yo Maddie and her hormone levels.

I wasn't in any of his classes in grade 11 unfortunately but my best friend was so whenever my English teacher would end the lesson early I would run to the other part of the building to pick up my friend catch a glimpse of my hot teacher dilf like 👉👈 👀

Then in grade 12/13 I actually wanted to take advanced courses in English and maths but the maths teacher was an asshole so I decided to follow the thirst and switched to German. so in a way I can thank my early dilf desires for the fact I ended up with a university degree in German lit lol would probably not have done that if I had stuck with advanced maths. Paying attention in class was easier at that point bc I was a lil older and had my hormones under control. Could participate AND enjoy the view at the same time. Those where two very blessed years.

I still occassionally see him and it's a punch in the clit every time because I go for months thinking "surely I must have built it all up in my mind and he's not actually that handsome, nobody can be that hot" but then I see him and he's still so beautiful that I wanna cry.
