The One With The Red Dress

Enjoy this mini AU I took months to finally finish about Peter falling in love more and more each time he sees the reader in this red dress.

Peter loved the way she made him feel when she wore that Red dress.

To be fair he had only previously seen her twice before in it, but she looked drop-dead gorgeous each time.

When she danced everyone’s eyes were on her. She captured the attention of all the boys and she didn’t even notice. She danced as if she were by herself in her room. Which was one of the things Peter loved about y/n.

The first time Peter had seen her in the dress was after a mission that had ended without any casualties. Tony had invited SHIELD agents, teammates, and other famous party-goers of New York to Avenger’s Tower. To celebrate the win.

For the majority of the time, Peter sat solemnly alone in a corner. Him being the only teenager at an adult orientated party was something that sucked. Because he couldn’t drink, nor really keep up a conversation with any other adult that wasn't Tony. But Steve had convinced him to stay and get acquainted with everyone.

As Peter was about to leave the elevator door rung, he looked up seeing y/n. He had seen her around Stark Tower before but never got the courage to talk to her.

But seeing her in that dress...

Made his knees weak.

As nervous as he was, he kept his cool. Because y/n was a pretty cool girl, who always kept an open mind about the world around her. After all, she was raised by her father Stephen Strange. Who started training her at a very young age. So one day she’d potentially be the next Sorceress Supreme.

But till then, she was just a beautiful, intelligent teenage girl in a red sparkly dress.

Peter attempted and failed multiple times to start a conversation with her, as he began to give up Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson came to the rescue.

Due to their help, Peter successfully got a date with y/n a Friday after the party took place. At a favorite milkshake place of y/n’s.

And to say the very least. That date went great.

The second time he saw her in the red dress was at a ball that none other than Tony Stark hosted. The theme? “Mexican Fiesta” Tony figured it’d be fun to have a mariachi band as well.

The party was taking place at the new Avenger’s compound in upstate New York. Which meant, Peter was going to have to sleepover. He was eighteen now and happily in a one-year committed relationship to y/n.

As he got ready for the party in his own personalized room Tony had made for him. Y/n entered in the dress. Immediately Peter had stopped buttoning his shirt, turning around to face her. Staring at her in awe.

“What?”. Y/n had asked. Brushing past Peter looking at herself in the mirror, trying to find something wrong with her outfit. “Do I look weird?”. She frantically asked him.

Chuckling a bit, Peter took y/n in his arms.

“You’re beautiful” he whispered into her ear.

“No, I'm not...”. Y/n said but it came out as a muffle as she was pressed against his shoulder.

“What?”. Peter said laughing a bit because she sounded funny. “I said I’m not”.

“Y/n... of course you are. You’re smart. You’re sassy. You care about people that’s what matters y/n”. Peter was now looking deeply into y/n’s soft hazel brown eyes. She could peer into his soul at any second but she knew and she felt the aura of love and adoration when she was around him.

“I love you”. Y/n had stated. This was the first time the words came out of her mouth. After Peter accidentally let the word slip out during a moment of bliss. Peter was shocked when the words left y/n’s mouth. He looked at her with shock then to adoration.

Pulling her closely he lays his forehead on Y/n’s. Both staring into eachothers eyes Peter says, “I love you too”.
