I have a whole bag of dice sets I got specifically for Forspoken rep. Why? Because I'm a nerd and we're not gonna get proper merch so I have to make do lol

So far my sets cover Frey, Cuff, Susurrus, Sila, and the Break.

I'm going to get full sets for Cinta, Prav, and Olas, too. I even know which ones! They'll cost me $120 total but I will get them. ...Eventually >.> lol

In the meantime, Cinta and Prav are represented with some miscellaneous dice I got in a pound of defective dice awhile back. I don't have a good placeholder for Olas, but I'm sure she'll be fine :P

(Individual sets are below the cut if anyone wants to know which dice belong to who and don't feel like guessing. All of them are from DnD Dice)

Frey (Purple Golden Leaf dice set) and Cuff (Dark Wings dice set [although the second I have an opportunity to replace them with golden bird dice I'm taking it :P])

Susurrus (Fortune Favored Liquid Core dice set) and Sila (Scorched Earth Liquid Core dice set)

The Break (Bluegrass dice set) and Cinta + Prav (misc dice I got in a pound of "defective" dice; they'll be replaced with Plane Shift Liquid Core and Whirlpool Liquid Core sets, respectively)

Olas will be getting the Emerald City Liquid Core dice set, too :)

Growing Pains and Learning Lessons

I failed my first set of dice.

I've heard of people dusting the inside of the mould with gold flakes or mica powder, and I've done a reverse petri effect by dropping a single drop of alcohol into the mould before pouring, so I thought I could paint the inside with acrylic paint and get a cool effect too. My acrylic paint is the Arteza pouring paint, so it's very liquid and made a cool effect inside the mould too, which seemed exciting.

When I pulled the set this morning, they looked like Swiss cheese, with the bottom numbers half eaten away by the undried acrylic paint. I don't know if having let it dry a little first would have helped, but I doubt it; it might just have stuck to the inside of the mould.

So here's my lesson of the day: don't coat the inside of your moulds with acrylic.

Oh, and another thing I think I've finally learned is: the Jacquard Piñata alcohol inks are extremely saturated, and more than you think. If you're looking for more desaturated colours, that's something to take into consideration.
