Saw the exquisite overlord!Husk AU by @celestialalpacaron and caught an art bug BAAAAAAD. Next thing I knew, I was suddenly filling my Pinterest reference boards with shots of Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe and Grace Kelly whilst listening to Nat King Cole's "Unforgettable."
Image description below the cut!
(Media: Watercolor, metallic watercolor, copic markers, glitter glue, pearl glue)
[IMAGE DESCRIPTION: The first image is a colored sketch of Husk and Angel Dust from Hazbin Hotel. Husk sits at a card table, slightly hunched forward - threateningly? - with his arms folded on the table, and his wings tucked neatly behind him. He's holding a King of Diamonds card in his right hand. He's wearing a gray pinstriped suit with dark gray lapels, golden cuffs, a gold bowtie, and a jeweled red pin.
Behind him stands a smiling Angel Dust in a metallic golden gown with diamonds encrusting the top of the bodice. He's wearing sheer golden gloves, gold eyeshadow, a pearl-studded bracelet, long diamond earrings, and an eight-layer pearl necklace while holding a golden, opera-length, cigarette holder.
They have matching rings.
The remaining images are close-ups, and the last is the initial sketch.

Bad Idea - s.h. x f!reader
Tumblr media
note: thank you to @crappymixtape for the initial prompt that started this fun little fic. <3
summary: steve happens upon you while you're reading a smutty book and chaos ensues.
warnings: oral (f receiving); p in v smut -- that's all, really (18+); barely edited, slightly rom-com vibes, so do not take this seriously (haha).
-
“I got a bad idea. How 'bout we take a little bit of time away?”
-
A fan blows in the distance. The low hum is a constant drone, offset by the sounds of your quiet breathing and the gentle turn of a yellowed page in your book. You’ve been sitting in your window nook for hours, the weather too hot outside to linger for too long.
Your fingers halt on your current page, eyes glancing out your bedroom window.
Summer burns bright outside. The sky is a bright blue, smiling down on all those who thrive beneath it, its golden sun winking on full display. Your bedroom window is parted enough to allow air to filter in, the sounds of birds chirping greeting your ears. Across the yard is the Harrington backyard. Their pool glints blue and bright beneath you, lounge chairs filled by his parents now back from whatever business trip they’d been on, glasses of champagne already in hand.
Steve’s mother soaks up the sun, all long, lean legs, wide brim sun hat, oversized glasses, and the diamond ring on her finger that seems gargantuan even from here. You catch the sight of his father, stark dark hair like his son’s, leaning over to press a kiss to his wife’s lips before settling down on the chair beside her.
Steve’s nowhere to be found, but you know that’s always the case when they’re home. He’s likely on an errand, trying to stay away from the home, trying to cut all interactions to a bare minimum. Because he’s twenty-two and still working at Family Video, he’s twenty-two and should have more in his savings, should be taking on the family business, should be thinking about his future, should be—
Your attention is drawn by the sound of children’s laughter. The neighbor’s kids have shoddily drawn a hopscotch grid onto the ground, the sound of their sneakers knocking against the warm concrete audible even over the low hum of the cars that slowly slide on past.
And there, in front of your home, you catch the all too familiar sight of Steve’s BMW, and that pretty head of dark hair as he clambers out the driver’s side door, sunglasses perched atop the bridge of his nose.
Your eyes return to your book, knowing you have approximately sixty seconds until he’s in your bedroom and making himself at home. The main characters, two best friends oddly enough, are about to finally cross over a line of no return. You’ve read it enough times to know what comes next.
Nathan will tell Cora he loves her and she’ll tell him the same. He’ll grab her in his arms, pull her close, and kiss her until she’s breathless…
“Hey.”
And there he is, all fitted denim and a striped tee shirt that shows off how generous the years have been to your best friend. Long gone are his gangly limbs of boyhood. Now he’s all corded muscle, finely hewn, high cheekbones, that lovely jaw, dark eyes and his goofy smile that has your heart somersaulting as he plops down against the sea of pillows near your headboard.
“Hey,” you reply, eyes shifting back to your book.
It’s not unusual to sit in silence like this. In fact, he pulls one of your Cosmopolitan magazines from your bedside table and glances down at the woman with gorgeously blown out hair, shifting over onto his stomach. You both read in silence, your ankles hooking over one another as the scene in your book changes and suddenly Nathan and Cora are kissing in the back seat of his car, a little hot and heavy, wild and dirty, groping hands starting to remove clothes.
Your hand comes up to curl around the back of your neck, wiping at some of the sweat pooling there, both from the way Nathan’s hands slide underneath Cora’s shirt and slide along her breast, and the heat spilling in from outside.
“Are you okay?” He asks, head lifting from whatever article he’s likely not even really reading, hair flopping with the suddenness of the gesture.
You close the book for a moment, thumb holding your place, and offer him a nod. “Anything good in there? I don’t even know why my mom orders them; I don’t even read them.”
“So you’re saying you didn’t read this article on ‘Ten Ways to Please Your Man?’” He chuckles, turning the magazine to show you. “Really riveting stuff. I’ll cut this one out for you.”
“You’re such an ass,” you snap, though your voice breaks off into a laugh at the end. You never really can stay mad at him, not when he looks at you like a lost puppy in need of attention. All round dark eyes, elbows on your bed, lip jutting out just so. “Stop pouting. It’s not a good look—and don’t make any corny comments about how all your looks are good looks. Don’t you give me that face, I’ve known you since we were eight.” His look of incredulity falters, those lips of his curling into a smile because he knows you’re right.
Your eyes drift back to your book, picking up right where you left off as Nathan’s fingers unbutton Cora’s jean shorts and he helps to slide them down her thighs, fingers exploring every new inch of exposed flesh.
“Want to go to a movie tonight with Robin and Eddie? We all have off, might as well,” Steve muses, flipping the page of the magazine, and then flipping it again when he realizes it’s only ads for some clothing brand. “They want to see Dead Poets Society, and I remember you said you wanted to see it last week.”
Nathan’s fingers slide beneath the waistband of Cora’s underwear, asking for permission to touch her in a way no one else has. Your knees press together involuntarily, hand coming to rest over your swiftly beating heart, suddenly very grateful for the fan oscillating in the corner of your room.
“Did you hear me?” Steve asks, rolling over onto his back. His head dangles upside down over the edge, face immediately growing red like a tomato, your head shaking at him. “I asked if you wanted to go to the movies with Robin and Eddie later.”
“Oh…” You swallow as Nathan’s fingers start a slow drag along Cora’s center, making her writhe and moan in the back seat of the car, the sun setting and bathing everything in pink and orange shades that dance along his skin with dappled light. “Y-yeah. Sounds good, Stevie. I’d love to.”
You settle back into a comfortable silence. Steve still hangs upside down, tossing a tennis ball you must have left on your floor up into the air from your brief stint trying to play. Couples tennis, minus the fact the two of you weren’t a couple. But he thought it would be funny, and you’d long decided you would give everything at least one chance before ruling it out.
Your eyes drift back to the page, resuming where you left off, right when Nathan slides Cora’s panties down her thighs and asks if he can taste her. Your breath catches, and Steve rolls back over to look at you, brows furrowed high on his forehead in concern.
“Are you okay over there? Seriously. You’re breathing all funny and you’re barely here right now as it is,” he worries his lip between his teeth, those dark eyes of his meeting yours from across the room.
“I’m okay.” You glance down at your lap and tap your book. “You just walked in as things were picking up in my book.”
Maybe it’s not the right choice of words in retrospect. Maybe you shouldn’t have mentioned it at all and instead played it off like, yes, yes you were feeling a little under the weather because of the heat. But you don’t, and it’s the small fumble over your words that has Steve pushing himself upward to sit on the bed, head tipping lightly toward your floppy paperback.
“What are you reading anyway?”
“Nothing,” you mutter, sliding your bookmark into place. You press your book onto the cushion beside you, arms coming to curl around your body, shoulders shrugging. “Just a book.”
“You already said that,” he replies, throwing one foot over the edge of the bed, followed by the other. You shift further against your nook, your book sliding beneath a pillow as your hip bumps against it, obscuring it from view. “What kind of book is it?”
“Adventure,” you say quickly, turning a bit to meet him as those hands come to rest on either of your shoulders. “You haven’t hugged me today.”
“I know what you’re doing,” he says, but he appeases you anyway, his face inches from yours as he bends down to fold you against him.
You hum against his chest, relishing in his warmth, when you ask, “And what is that?”
“Trying to distract me.”
“I’m not distracting—”
Your words are cut off, because Steve’s hand reaches swiftly behind you to curl around the edge of your book and tug it close to his chest. The shriek you let out frightens even yourself as you rush after him, arms curling around his waist and sending him hurtling down against your bed. The book skitters toward your headboard, but that’s the least of your worries right now.
The only thing terrifies you more than him reading the scene that comes after where you left off is the way you’re sitting on top of him. With a slow, horrifying clarity, you take in the room around you. Thighs splayed on either side of his hips, your hands pinning his arm closest to the book above his head, and his hands reflexively against your hips. His chest rises and falls steadily beneath your palms, those dark irises rounding around the edges, his fingers clutching into the belt loops on your shorts.
You both look at each other in silent panic. Because this is your best friend. This is over ten years of friendship lying beneath you. It’s the boy who has seen you scrape your knees learning how to ride a bike, sat next to you on the swings at the park, was there for your first heartbreak. Because he’s the boy you were there for when it then happened to him with Nancy, the one you walked around town with after dark on a warm day with cups of ice cream in hand, the one you told everything to, who knew you best, the boy you snuck your first beer with, and fought off monsters from the Upside Down alongside.
Luckily, he seems to come to the same revelation just as quickly, shoving you off him onto the mattress, hands coming to dance along your ribs until your sides hurt from laughing so hard. A foot comes out to kick him in the thigh when his hand slides out above you, and you hear the familiar slide of your paperback against a blanket.
“Not fair!” You growl, watching him lean back on his haunches, book tucked into his shirt that he’s then tucked into his jeans. “That’s disgusting. You can keep it now. You’re sweaty.”
“I just showered.”
You huff. “Still. Why do you care about what’s in it so much?”
“I wanna know what’s got your panties in such a twist,” he says. Your heart thuds in your ears, throat bobbing with a thick swallow. “Are your panties in a twist? Is that why you’re all out of breath?”
“Steve,” you warn, though there’s no malice in your tone, only hesitancy. You curse yourself inwardly.
His voice drops into a whisper, “Is this a sexy book?”
You want to throttle him. Want to wrap your hands around his shoulders and shake the look of pure and utter delight off his smug features. Only you don’t. You sit there and watch as he slides off your bed and stretches his arms above his chest, which outlines the rectangle hiding against his skin all the more.
It’s then you remember: Steve Harrington hates books. Hated them in high school so much that you had to always read them for him and give him your breakdown of what happened, and you know for a fact he hates them now. The likelihood that’ll change brings you some peace. Confidence rising, you lean back onto your palms, grinning widely up at him.
“Movies at eight then?”
He arches a brow at your sudden shift in demeanor. “Uh…yeah, sure. I’ll pick you up at seven thirty.”
Everything will be just fine.
-
Only it’s not.
You learn quickly that, though Steve’s hated every book given to him thus far in life, he absolutely devours this one.
There are certain fears that have always lingered in the back of your mind throughout the years.
The first being the worry one day Steve would find out about your years-long crush you’ve had on him. The feelings that have lingered way longer than you ever intended for them to. And it’s not like you hadn’t tried to push them aside; you dated other people, put yourself out there, all to take your mind off of it. It always works…initially. That is, until he does or says something that has you falling all over again, wondering if he’d ever feel the same—wondering if he’s ever felt the same.
But this isn’t a romcom movie, and not all stories like these end up in a relationship, and you had already accepted that…for the most part. If there’s any hope, it’s more like a small flame. A tiny flicker. Nothing noteworthy or remarkable to see here.
Your second fear is the newest one. The fear that Steve would read the book you’d allowed him to sneak out of your house a week ago—actually read it—and unleash a new kind of petrifying hell on you and take actual pleasure in your demise.
It starts over Eddie’s place. He’s got an apartment with Robin now, a dingy little place you’ve always thought they should move out of, but theirs all the same. Robin and Eddie are picking out a movie while you and Steve stand in the kitchen, getting various bowls and trays ready with chips, candy, popcorn, and drinks.
Neither of you has said anything about the book catastrophe. That night, you’d gone to the movies as planned and even shared a soda together, your shoulder pushed against his like nothing even happened. You figured he’d torture you a bit, keep the book for a few days, and give it back with your bookmark exactly where you’d left it.
But he still hasn’t returned it, and when you ask him for it in the middle of Eddie’s kitchen he only shrugs and says, “I’m actually reading it again. I think I skimmed it the first time; I want to make sure I take it all in. Every word, and, you know, every inch of it.”
You glance his way out the corner of his eyes. On a good day Steve’s odd, to say the least. It’s one of the many things that endears you to him and has made you love him as much as you do. Right now, however, he’s all flushed cheeks and wide smirks, looking very much like the cat who swallowed a canary.
“Why are you smirking?”
You shuffle about him to reach into one of the kitchen cabinets in search of a scissor. You snip the corner edge off of an M&M bag and pour some into a bowl, watching him the whole time.
His smug self reaches down to grab a handful of your freshly pourn candies and plops a few into his mouth. You’re about to reprimand him when he moans around the mouthful, saying, “You taste so sweet, baby.”
Your throat dries. It’s worse than the Sahara Desert. Sandpaper slides across your vocal cords, your mouth opening and closing to try and form sentences. Words. Vowels. Anything would be better than the fish-like gape you’re left with, eyes widened in absolute horror.
“What did you just say?”
He turns to face you, his hip pressing against the countertop. Another M&M is lifted to his pursed lips, tongue sliding over it before pulling it into his mouth, his voice low as he repeats slowly, “You taste…so sweet…baby.”
Your eye twitch is your only response.
Your personal hell gets worse, if that’s even possible, two days later.
It’s a particularly balmy June day. Luckily, Steve’s parents are once again out of town, leaving the two of you behind to do whatever it is the hell you want to do. The both of you had settled on a pool day. Just the two of you lounging on floats, smelling of suntan lotion, your cherry chapstick freshly smacked against your lips, and soaking in the sun’s rays.
You’re on a round float in particular, arms spread out beside you, fingertips dancing along the pool’s surface. Music blares from a speaker in the distance, your warm beers long forgotten near the lounge chairs covered in your colorful towels.
You still don’t have your book back, but you can’t find it in yourself to ponder on it. Not like this, not with the water dancing along your skin, chilling your sweat-slick body, bobbing along the water without a care in the world.
“Should I make burgers or hot dogs?” Steve asks when the sun starts to set a bit and the humidity in the air lessens.
You slip down into your tube now, legs kicking in the water, arms propped up over the plastic edges. He treads water in front of you, hair slick against his head, face tanner than it was earlier that evening. He’s even got new freckles along his shoulders, dark against his golden skin.
“Can you do both?” You grin, reaching forward to poke at his cheek. “Please?”
“You’re lucky I like you,” he says, moving to go swim toward the shallow end of the pool where the stairs are.
You’re lucky you’re holding onto a float, because you’re pretty sure you would have momentarily choked under the water at the sight of his form disappearing beneath the surface, long legs kicking in that red bathing suit. Those strong arms of his slice into the water, perfectly practiced motions from the summers he spent life guarding.
You’re so rendered immobile by the sight you briefly forget it’s a scene that happens in your book. A moment when Cora realizes she’s physically attracted to her best friend. Only you differ from her in the fact that you’ve known Steve Harrington has been gorgeous for years. If that isn’t enough, though, when his body slowly walks up the stairs and he turns around to face you, your cheeks burn hotter than the sun could have ever warmed your skin. Because he slides a hand up onto his hair, bicep and abdominals rippling and on display.
Is he moving in slow motion? No, he can't be. Can he? What the actual fuck is going on?
“I’m onto you, Harrington.” You drag a thumb along your throat in a warning.
He only laughs and flexes his arm once more, asking innocently, “Whatever do you mean?”
You’re going to kill him. You’re going to actually have to kill him.
Over the course of the next few days Steve ups his antics.
It’s diabolical, you’ll give him that.
You make a mental note to talk to Eddie about it, because the dramatic flair practically screams his influence.
One of the days he wears a button up in the middle of your kitchen and offers to wash your dishes. Slides his sleeves up over his forearms so you can see all the tendons rippling as he moves (you almost pass out). Unbuttons the collar of his shirt complaining of heat to show that dark hair spattering his skin (you walk into the fridge).
Another day he takes your hand and dances with you like Nathan and Cora do in one of the chapters, spinning you round and round despite your initial protests, to something exceedingly romantic for your best friend’s tastes.
On the third, he accidentally brushes up behind you while you’re grabbing a board game from your closet and you feel the firmness of his chest against your back. You have to pray, something you haven't done in a long time, to keep yourself from doing something you might forever regret, because when did Steve get so muscular?
The fourth day brings soft serve ice cream, which is usually an innocent, non-sexual experience. Until, that is, Steve starts trailing his tongue along it. Little kitten strokes at first, long swipes through cream, the occasional slurp. And that’s all fine and dandy, something you can deal with, until he moans and you have to threaten him with the garden hose (after contemplating using it on yourself to cool off) because you’re not sure if you're about to combust into flame or kiss him square on the mouth and ask him to reenact his performance with the ice cream for real this time.
The fifth, while you’re minding your own business and actually trying to restock the tapes at Family Video, he plants dirty quotes from the book around the place. The two of you play games all the time. It gets you both into more trouble than you’d ever really like to share or admit, but this one is bolder, more evil than any that have come before it.
You’re torn between loathing him and loving him more for it.
And while you don’t particularly enjoy your job there, and really only use the pay to help you put yourself through college, you also don’t want to have to explain to Keith why there’s dirty talk written and hidden in parts of the building. You can picture him firing you already, fed up with Steve’s and your constant antics.
In the break room. I want to taste you.
Attached to the employee bathroom mirror. Let me hear those pretty sounds.
On a back room shelf. You feel so good around me. Feel how deep I am?
Inside one of the cup holders in your car (must have snuck that one while you’d been in the bathroom) I want you to fuck me so hard that I forget my name.
He’s proud of himself, laughing whenever you make a point of ripping up the paper loudly in front of him, letting the shreds drop one by one into a trash can. In actuality, though, your insides are fluttering from the words he’s chosen and you don’t even want to think about the way your thighs clench together or how you feel wetness pool inside your panties, so you decide you need to do damage control.
“So what you’re saying is he’s torturing you?” Robin asks at the conclusion of your debrief.
Her and Eddie sit across from you on the couch, watching wearily as you practically burn a hole in the carpet from your constant pacing. It’s been like this for a half hour. You frantically tell them all the ways Steve’s been haunting your every waking moment. How you’re feeling things you’ve long since tried to suppress.
You’re pent up.
A rubber band ready to snap.
You’re just afraid of what happens when that moment comes. Afraid of what you’ll do, what you might want.
You can’t voice it, let alone allow yourself to think it.
It would be a bad idea.
“Yes!” You nearly shriek, throwing your hands up in the air.
“You two share a single brain cell, and it’s actually quite amusing,” Eddie says.
It’s the only thing he’s said the whole evening, and you pause to whirl around and face him. “What did you say?”
“The two of you,” he says evenly, hooking an ankle over his knee. “Share a combined brain cell.”
“That’s rude,” you snap, narrowing your eyes.
He laughs, glancing over to Robin. “Are the two of you ever going to, oh I don’t know, act on your feelings? I thought it was because of all the shit with the Upside Down. But we saved the world, remember? So what gives?”
“I’m not following…”
Robin interrupts, all wild hands and frantic speech. “You two dinguses like each other. And stop with the ‘we’re best friends’ bullshit you feed everyone. The two of you are dancing around each other and have been for years now. Why not…talk it out and see what happens? You’re clearly feeling some sort of way over this weird little game the two of you are playing this week.”
But the two of you are best friends. You’re not Nathan and Cora. That kind of stuff happens in your books. Those fated relationships, destined to be at a young age.
You know how to separate fact from fiction.
Steve and you are fact, and you don’t want to dabble in fiction when it comes to him.
Right…?
-
Tears for Fears blares through the speaker system, Family Video empty save for the two of you. The ‘OPEN’ sign on the door has already been flipped to ‘CLOSED.’ You’re meant to be going through new releases for Keith and unpacking them from the boxes laid out in the back room. He’s already told you where he wants them placed, which movies to arrange on certain shelves for different occasions.
Your pencil scratches along paper, calling out the names of movies to Steve, crossing out a box to confirm you received all the titles the business was expecting. It’s tedious, and you’d rather be doing just about anything else, but it takes your mind off the tension swirling in your gut over your ‘Steve situation.’
Neither of you have spoken in a bit. More so because you don’t know what to say. You don’t know how to address the elephant in the room: the fact you like him, want him, and have been struggling to remind yourself that this game you’re playing is only a game. It’s a dangerous line to walk, even scarier to tread. On one side, the safety of friendship, and on the other is the unknown.
So you return to your tapes, the shadowed in boxes, the methodical strokes of pencil against paper. It’s another ridiculously warm day. You curse the shoddy air conditioning system Keith never calls in to get fixed, hands sliding down the sides of your skirt, grateful for the slight breeze that tickles your ankles with every movement. If Steve’s warm, he says nothing of it, only picks up the pace with going through the inventory and closes up the box once you’re finally done.
“We just need to double check the back room is clean and then we can lock up,” he says. Your head lifts abruptly, having gone so long without hearing his voice it almost shocks you.
“Oh, yeah. Right. Coming,” you tell him, clipping your pencil to the board and sliding the whole thing onto the shelf beneath the counter.
Steve’s shoving the box onto a wooden table when you join him, your eyes doing a cursory scan about the room to make sure everything looks to be in its proper place. What you don’t expect to see, however, is your book resting in your pocketbook on the chair you left it atop of.
Steve follows the line of your gaze and chuckles. “Figured it was about time I gave it back.”
You lift the tattered old thing in one hand and flip through the pages. He’s moved the bookmark all the way to the back, and you know he’s read the whole thing. Satisfied with its condition, you tuck it back into where it belongs and lean against the wooden table, palms curling around the edge as you shift to face him.
“You done teasing me?” You ask pointedly, head tipping to the side with a little smirk. “Even I have to admit that was a cruel game.”
“Why was it cruel?” He steps closer, the already small room shrinking even further.
“You were making fun of me.”
“No I wasn’t. I liked the book,” he admits, the corner of his lip twitching upward. “I just had one question the whole time I was reading it.”
“Yeah? What’s that?” You’re genuinely curious, leaning back further against the table.
Steve takes another step closer, dark hair bouncing with each movement, those eyes dark and kind. “You’ve written down all the dates you read the thing in the front. So I assume it’s your favorite. Why is it your favorite?”
It’s…not a bad observation. If anything, it has your blood burning a bit, heart starting to flutter faster in your chest. Still, you keep your cool, shrugging your shoulders in reply.
“Come on now, since when do we keep things from each other?”
His hand drops down onto the wood beside your hip, his chest nearly pressing to your knees where you sit. Your feet kick mindlessly back and forth, brushing against his shins, skirt fluttering around you.
“I like the plot,” you admit, popping the 'p' for emphasis, trying to look anywhere but his face as you continue, “I like the idea of two people who already know each other trying to see if there’s more between them.”
“Cora and Nathan are best friends.” It’s not a question, but a fact. You nod, watching his other hand drop onto the other side of your hip. “Is that why you got all hot and bothered in your bedroom? Why those notes made you squirm?”
“Don’t be an asshole.” You cross your arms over your chest. “It’s a book.”
“Is that all it is?” He asks, looking into your eyes with an unfamiliar intensity. You want to hide from it, but it dredges up something new in you. Something bold and dizzying. “If it’s just a book, tell me that’s all it is and we’ll close up and go home.”
You don’t say anything for a while.
How could you? How could you admit that the reason it’s your favorite is because it’s about two best friends falling for one another? How could you admit you dreamed and hoped maybe one day it would be your reality with him? How could you admit you wanted to taste him, touch him, feel him for years now?
Steve moves to head back toward the main room when you make your choice.
“Steve?”
He whirls around on the spot, eyes searching your face. He rushes back over to where you’re sitting. Your hands slide up tentatively into his, testing the weight of them in your palms.
You exhale a deep breath, “Kiss me?”
There’s no moment of question. No hesitance behind his gaze when he curls a palm around the side of your face and swoops down to kiss you soundly on the lips. It’s not slow and sweet like in the many movies you’ve seen and books you’ve read. Instead it’s an urgent, hurried thing. His hands slide around your hips and draw you closer to him, your thighs parting to make space for him, mouths licking into one another hungrily, years of pent up emotion spilling into the spaces between you.
It’s a nip of his bottom lip here, the gasp from you when his mouth slides along your cheek in search of your jaw, sucks below your ear in a way that has you clutching at his shoulders, dragging him closer. Fingers pinch into skin. Frantic hands slide over your Family Video vest, his mouth forming the quiet question of “Can I?” And your head is nodding, heart thundering. He slips it free from your form and touches at the hem of your shirt hesitantly.
“You can touch me,” you rasp out, hands clutching around the edge of the table. A callused palm slides up and along your skin, dances along the curve of your breast, right over the rapid thrum of your heart. “Stevie…”
He’s kissing you again, hand sliding out from underneath your shirt and instead rucking up the sides of your skirt. A gust of cold air hits the tops of your thighs as he bares you to him. You watch those fingers that have held you all these years, have tended your wounds, soothed away your worries, drag along your flesh. Up over the curve of your thigh, the curve of your hip, and down again.
“I want you to touch me, Steve. I want you,” you whisper against his ear, curling an arm around his shoulder and shuddering into the side of his neck. Those fingers slip down the front of your panties and trail a dangerous path from your slick center to your clit, teasing lightly, circling where you want him most.
He hums pleasantly. “This all for me, pretty girl?” He’s smiling to himself at your quiet cry, tracing the same pattern once more before dropping down onto his knees to help you slide them down and off your legs. “Are you sure?”
“Pleas—” Your voice breaks off into a moan. That taunting mouth of his licks a deadly path from your entrance to that sensitive nub, rendering you at his mercy. He slides one of your thighs up and over his shoulder, the other held out to open you further to him. “Just like that, just like that.”
He licks into you, murmuring into your skin about how he’s wanted you like this for years. Dirty sounds of your slick meld together with your gasps and whimpers, fingers reaching down to grasp at hair, tugging hard, hips grinding involuntarily into his face.
“Steve!” Your head falls back at the white hot flash behind your eyes when that first finger slides in all the way to the knuckle, a sinful slide in and out of you that has you craving more. More fullness, more something, more Steve, until you’re whining pathetically. The second finger joins the first, stretching and sliding against skin, working in tandem with the flat of his tongue against your clit.
You come with a cry of his name, body bowing over the top of his head, fingers a tangle against his scalp. He continues to lick and pump into you through your orgasm, his other hand holding tight against your hip you’re sure you’ll have bruises come morning. But you don’t care. You don’t care at all. You grip the front of Steve’s shirt and drag him upward to your mouth, tasting yourself on him. His tongue glides over your own, moans mingling in the spaces between you.
Your hands work on his jeans next, needing more of him, his mouth moving languidly over yours. Shaky hands slide the button through the hole, fingers pushing down the zipper, the desperate wiggle of fabric down his thighs so he can kick himself out of them. You waste no time sliding him out of his boxers, hand pumping him once, twice, before he’s sliding on a condom fished from his wallet and asking you how you want him.
It’s how you end up sliding down to the edge of the table, his fingers dipping into your slick heat, still sensitive from your orgasm, his cock straining against your hip when he drops down to kiss you once more, whispering, “Are you sure? Need your words, pretty girl.”
“I want you…I’ve wanted this, Steve.”
You feel him nudge at your entrance, so full and thick it has your eyes rolling slightly at the first delicious stretch. Your arm curls around his shoulder to drag your chests closer, gasps mingling, the hand curling around your hip gripping tighter while he sinks inch by inch into you until he’s buried to the hilt.
He rocks slowly against you at first. A slow, torturous drag in and out. In and out. Until you’re whimpering steadily into the quiet room, ankle curling around a hip, drawing him closer. Always closer. It’s a slow build up. Face pressed into his chest, hips rolling in tandem with his, relishing in his sounds rumbling deep within his chest.
It’s Steve, you remind yourself.
Steve, your best friend in the world, rocking into you, chasing your peaks together. He's whispering how pretty you are, how good you feel, praising you. He murmurs ‘good fuckin’ girl’ against your mouth when your head shifts and you kiss him greedily, a messy tangle of lips, tongue and teeth.
“Faster, Steve,” you plead, eyes pinching shut.
His hips snap harder against yours, his grunts and groans filling the space, driving the table to knock against the wall, sending the box of new inventory hurtling to the ground. Neither of you can be bothered with it, hands clutching against clothes, mouths tangling, wet skin slapping against skin, lurching closer and closer to the edge.
Steve’s laying you back against the table, chest crawling over your own, mouth like a brand against yours, your hair fanning around your head. He curls a forearm under your lower back, tilting your hips, the new angle hitting that part of you over and over and over again that makes your vision grow white around the edges. Your whimpers of his name spurring him on, your thigh crooked over one of his elbows, drawing him closer, deeper.
Steve comes seconds after you do, face red and chest heaving, gasping at the way your body clenches around him. Kisses you in between broken cries of his name falling from your pretty lips.
Your thigh slides back down from around his elbow. The other thigh slowly drops back down against the wood, skirt bunching indecently around your hips, his chest heavy against yours. Your fingers come up to brush along his hair, humming when he leans over to kiss you once, twice, and then slides off of you, your body immediately missing the feeling of being full of him.
You dress and clean in silence. Little awkward chuckles spilling here and there as he helps you slide your underwear back on, head disappearing beneath your skirt to teasingly nip at the inside of a thigh. Your hands help to smooth his unruly hair back into place. It’s a gentle slide of fingers together when you both make your way out to his car and slip inside, the cheeky grin from him when he leans over the center console and smacks a kiss against your cheek, making your skin burn ablaze.
“Want to go get food? Maybe a milkshake,” he suggests, curling a hand around his steering wheel. “On me.”
“Like a date?” You muse, watching his hand curl around your own to draw your palm to his lips for a slow kiss into the center.
“If you want it to be.”
-
Steve and you open up at Family Video the next day.
Your late night plans the day before in hindsight may not have been the best idea either of you had in a while, but seeing him early that next morning with his sunglasses perched on his face and his lips eagerly seeking yours over the center console had made it worth it.
You’d spent the evening huddled over a basket of fries, talking about your feelings, about giving things a try, constantly touching. Hands, cheeks, shoulders, legs. You craved it all, this new need to be attached at all times, butterflies fluttering in bellies, grins tugging at faces. Later it had been chocolatey milkshake kisses under the stars at Lover’s Lake, a new world of exploration at your fingertips.
Presently, Robin and Eddie mill about in the distance, looking for a movie for your usual Friday night in, the two of them calling various movie titles over to where you and Steve work behind the countertop.
“How about Heathers?” Eddie asks, just as Keith barrels out of the back room, looking red in the face and on a mission.
“Looks like you two—” he points between you and Steve. “—did some rearranging in the back room last night. That wall you dented and then tried to hide behind the table, however you managed that, I don’t know…but yeah, you’ll be paying for it. And the stack of movies on the floor? If any are busted, I’ll dock both your pay for them as well. Count your lucky stars I’m not firing you both.”
He’s gone back the way he came, leaving you standing beside Steve, your mouths open, eyes rounded in fear.
Steve mouths, “We forgot to clean up the movies…”
You turn into his chest to hide, mortification burning your face.
Robin and Eddie smirk, high-fiving amidst the movie displays.

you know what I just thought of? Shy wife is used to going to neighbour cookouts and gatherings alone since Graves is often away. She gets hit on quite a bit but always reminds everyone she’s very happily married (I mean haven’t they seen the rock on her finger?)
Then one day she finally shows up with Phil at one of those gatherings and he’s so confident his relationship with her, he can’t help but laugh at those guys cause he knows she only has eyes for him 😌 (he prolly proceeds to fuck her within an inch of her life lbr)
Also completely unrelated but shy wife getting a tiny discreet tattoo of his initials or their last name, and he discovers it while fucking her after getting back from a mission
-🍬
*Rubbing my hands together like a villain* I kicked my feet in the air the second I received this!!! You, my dearest, are a MASTERMIND 🙏🏼😩
Tumblr media
Includes: brief smut at the end (minors DNI!), petnames (‘sweetheart’, ‘pretty girl’), mentions of possessive!phil, you get a lil’ tatt for him, slight humour & loads of fluff!
COD x shy!wife thots closed! Thank you, everyone, for your time & amazing minds! I sincerely hope I can do this again with y'all soon! 💌
Come & check out my COD m.list!
Whether you’d like to imagine it while you’re Phil’s wife or fiancée, I’d like to imagine the latter more, since engagement rings tend to look more upscale than wedding bands. So imagine the immediate (but not enough) sting one would feel as soon as they boldly come up to you, hoping for a chance. It’s impossible not to acknowledge the large diamond cut around your finger, twinkling even at the smallest movements.
It usually drives them away, but you’ll also have insistent ones, keen on making you sway while they nurse their injured pride to health.
Or even when married, no doubt Phil gets you the most out-there-looking band—why should he settle for less for any occasion, after all?
For Phil, he’d rather be caught dead in a ditch than potentially lose his actual ring on the battlefield. It’s why he has a silicone wedding band instead, personally chosen by you, thus why it’s almost as special as his main one. While he’d rather not potentially let a single scratch on his actual band, he still wants a part of you with him. Remind him of the memories you’ve made and will make every time he comes home.
But on the other hand, it’s a possession thing.
Phil’s confidence in your relationship is just as massive as him carrying himself to the world, so the ring is more of a warning, as mentioned before, to those thinking they’d even have a grain of chance with you. He knows people take advantage of beautiful sweethearts like you because as soon as you give them a crumb of attention, you can only hope someone saves you from their infernal yapping.
The best part about it, to Phil, is that you don’t mind feeding his ego, just as he lives for them like a dog showering in its owner’s praises, because you know he achieves them all, be it his work or otherwise. But God knows if the men flirting with you were being truthful about the little stories they’ve conjured up to impress you.
Plus, you prefer Phil’s attention over theirs, absolutely no competition.
Especially when Phil finds the time (read: makes sure) to attend these cookouts.
Even if he doesn’t frequent to them as much as you do, he’s a household name. Literally. The hosts of the cookouts, Rick and his wife greet you like you’ve known each other for years; the same pair who’d save you from your demise each time they’d realize you were dragged into a one-sided or possibly uncomfortable conversation.
Phil is rare to be seen without you by his side, and none of you minded. A symbiotic system as Phil gets to flaunt you to all the desperate guys out there while playing guard dog. With unamused looks and sharp glares or even condescending smiles when they realize that he is the infamous Phillip Graves you and the hosts have been talking about. Somehow he knows which of them to send his warnings to, even if you’ve never given him their description.
"I did promise the missus I'd come one day." Phil joked with the group when Rick and his wife teased him for finally coming over, pulling you close to his side because he knew they were watching. You didn't, well, couldn't (not that you wanted to very much) spare even a second for them when your husband naturally had your attention.
And you get to seek comfort from him. Plus, it’s ten times fun with each other in these gatherings. Good food, good conversation and best of all, good company.
Now, tattoos. Ah, tattoos.
I imagine you’ve been considering one for a while and without his knowledge. Only because you know he’d be nosey enough to be able to draw an answer out of you. It takes a bit of time though, largely due to the commitment of it. You want one, of course, but to have one, you’ll want one that’s truly meaningful.
Should it be Graves or just G? Or should you opt for P.G. instead? What font would you want, how big would it be and where?
Even when you’ve finalised your answers, there’s a lingering bit of fear that it won’t be to your or his liking. But you’ve known the man long enough to know that so long that your heart belonged to him, cherished and cared for, you knew his heart will always belong to you too.
A small, single ‘G’ tattooed on your wrist in a flourish font. I initially thought of a finger tattoo but I heard not many artists recommend it, but that's beside the point!
Just imagine him coming home after a tough time at work, pent-up until he has his wife underneath him. He only notices the ink on your wrist as his fingers interlock with yours. He slows his thrusts, but not he's stopping either.
If anything it reaches deeper into you when he realizes what the tattoo indicates.
“Pretty girl,” He purrs, pinning your wrist to brush his lips along the semi-sensitive spot. There's something about the way he carefully presses his lips to your pulse, only for his eyes to flit to your glassy ones with such danger. Such passion.
Such… eagerness.
“Didn't tell me y‘had a surprise.” The way surged his hips forward rather suddenly, looking down at you with half-lidded eyes and a petulant pout had your lips parting, letting out a shaky moan even before you could protest.
“I–I wanted to…” You whined, silently begging him not to stop with your feet against his back, even if it fogged your mind from thinking straight, from making sense as you spoke, “I had it… L–Last month...”
It has Phil feel some type of way—the best way, that is. If seeing his love handling her wedding ring with much care doesn't make him go crazy already, then this definitely would. Be prepared to have your hands pinned, be it to the bed, the wall, in the shower, wherever, whenever, so long they—both the tattoo and the ring, face him for a little while.

You put a lot small visual elements and details in that I never seem to notice on my first read, and it always makes rereading exciting. What’s a detail from the comic that nobody ever seemed to notice? I’m sure there are things that nobody has mentioned, especially from the early chapters, that you’d want to talk about
Oh man.........that's a great question.
The thing is, there are a lot of details that people don't pick up, but there are definitely eagle-eyed readers that also do! There are also details which most didn't pick up until someone posted about it, and now everyone knows!
There are also details which are actually... yet to be revealed as relevant! That's a secret tool that'll help us later. :)
But most of it is plot relevant decisions I make which make the story more full, but are not necessarily NECESSARY for full enjoyment.
For example, in the very first comic, when Earl approaches Steven....
Tumblr media
Her eye isn't white! That was a fully deliberate decision. She didn't actually approach Steven because he wanted her to. That was a decision she made on her own!
Most of the white eye shenanigans in Season 1 were deliberate, albeit not very explicit. I suppose that worked out okay, though. Plus, many people DID catch on!
Also, this part in the Kindergarten comic:
Tumblr media
...which people assumed was a power separate from everything, is actually just the first instance of Steven's Command power. The thing is, I hadn't settled into how to portray it at the time, and also - the gem is Corrupted! It doesn't respond to Steven's commands the same way normal gems do. I planned to explore that earlier initially, but in the end, decided to tie it into much later plot.
In Season 1, EP 38, Steven asks Earl to write her name.... and she does! But in gem, not English, because she doesn't know how to write in English.
Tumblr media
She designates herself as White Pearl, putting the dash over the top diamond. It was at the time when she was still anxious about making Steven - White Diamond - angry with her.
And to add to the eye thing - during the Season finale of Season 2, when Steven wondered if Earl only came to see him because he forced her to - the comic where she finds him in the water proves otherwise!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Immediately when she grabs him and swims up, her eyes aren't white! She's doing it of her own accord.
Also, in Season 3's opening, when Rose is angry at what she THINKS is White Diamond, she almost has a slip of the tongue when talking about the past.
Tumblr media
There's a very pointed reason that panel of Earl is right there next to Rose's cut-off 'My...'
Also, when Rose leaves Steven in the Containment Sphere - the Baby Jail Bubble - she unlocks it to leave, and you can pretty clearly see an interesting detail.
Tumblr media
(which Steven, of course, doesn't notice.)
There's also a bit of a narrative tongue in cheek line-up which is accidental on Steven's part but still rings true:
Tumblr media
(TVTropes editors caught this one! Hey TVTrope editors!)
Also, this very famous Seaglass foreshadowing:
Tumblr media
The first instance of Steven connecting to tech was in the beginning of this season!
Tumblr media
When Steven has a bad dream after fusing with Earl and forming Bleached Coral, there's a hidden detail in this reflective text from Nightmare Rose:
Tumblr media
(It might be easier to read if you mirror-flip it.)
Another fun thing I enjoyed doing before I got busy with other stuff is gem language! Earl writes Steven notes in it to help him learn, and now signs with her English name,
Tumblr media
In the Cluster Experiments comic, if you look at the panels before stuff starts to Happen, you can find a few Experiments hiding in the background. :)
Tumblr media
In Amethyst's room, there is a Japanese stopsign and a d20 in the background.
Tumblr media
In episode 25 of season 4, Steven is playing Moonlight Sonata!
Tumblr media
In episode 33, the ship Steven connects to displays a bisection of the earth which showcases its lumpy core! Or rather, the megastructures that are hidden deep inside the mantle.
Tumblr media
It also showcases a few geothermal coring sites made during the colonization.
And by the way, the drill Pearl built was actually a repurposed ship hull which was used for the Space Race ship in the original show!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And man there are actually... many more! But I had to skip over them because they are alluding to things which have not yet been explicitly revealed! :D
But even with this, I'm sure there are other ones I'm missing. If you think you have one that should be listed - throw it on a reblog or in the comments!

what used to be mine |older!dilf!eddie munson x reader|
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
prompt: gina finds out that you and eddie got married.
age gap relationship. everything is consensual. set a few years after the initial series so the reader is 29 and Eddie is 45.
gina is eddie’s ex. brielle is his daughter with gina.
contains: older!eddie, dilf!eddie, language, gina, jealousy
Gina sat on the couch, coffee steaming on the table beside her, phone held lazily in her hand as she scrolled mindlessly through her phone. She could hear her mother's voice nagging her in the back of her mind, telling her she was so obsessed with other people'd lives, and maybe that's why she was so bored in her own. But Gina didn't care. She had to look, to be in the know.
Everything was typical, scrolling bored past the birthday posts, memes, and other updates about people she didn’t give two shits about on Facebook.
Then Gina saw it.
She stopped, eyes widening in disbelief.
Brielle Jo Munson was tagged in a photo!
Some person Gina didn’t recognize- someone who didn’t have her blocked like most of Eddie’s friends did- shared a string of photos, the caption reading.
‘Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Munson! Wishing you both a lifetime of joy and happiness!’
There were the photos, Eddie and her walking down the aisle, some trendy, aesthetic venue. Her dress was stunning, and fit her like a glove. Gina gaped, scrolling, seeing Brielle in her bridesmaids dress, walking beside them, posing in photos with guest. Even having a dance with Eddie.
But none of that compared to the unexplainable rage that Gina felt when she saw the last picture. Eddie and her, he had her dipped down, a classic pose for a kiss, others waving sparklers for a photo op. Gina zoomed in, a stranger gasp leaving her lungs, heart rate rising, hammering in her chest.
The ring.
When Gina and Eddie had gotten married, he’d saved up and gone to a pawn shop, getting the best ring he could buy. A tiny diamond that she snarled at when he presented it to her- he’d worked countless hours overtime, even going back to giving guitar lessons and a night shift as a janitor at the plant to afford it. He’d promised her it was just until he could get a better one. They didn’t make it long enough for that to happen.
Though they weren’t together long, they were together long enough that Gina knew how close Eddie was to his mom before she passed. She’d seen the pictures at Wayne’s, and the one's Eddie kept in his wallet. She'd heard the stories, bittersweet and endearing. They'd even made Brielle's middle name Jo, in memory of departed and beloved Josephine.
Most importantly, she’d seen the ring- the ring he didn’t give her. His mother’s wedding ring, diamond cut and small. It was her mother’s before her, and her grandmother before that. Passed down to Eddie, a little under a carat, and on a dainty gold band. It was special. Eddie guarded it and protected it like Gollum, refusing to even take it out of the safe at Wayne’s except to show her once.
And there it was. On her finger.
Gina didn’t even register what she was doing until Henry came running in, frightened and concerned.
Gina screamed, hurt and angry, her chest heaving and cries spilling out with rage. She’d thrown her phone, leaving a dent in the wall where it landed. Pulling at her hair, she saw red, her vision blurring and dark.
Henry’s voice sounded distant, he was terrified. “Gina, honey, what-“
Gina rocked herself, deep heavy breaths that only fueled her rage, gas to a fire.
How could her have given her the ring? The ring that was hers! She had his child, and- Oh, that child- their child. Brielle. How could her daughter, her own fuckin’ flesh and blood, do this to her? Let her be blindsided like this! She could’ve talked to him! Convinced Eddie not to do it, she could convince him of anything. He didn’t love her. No, he couldn’t.
He loved Gina, Gina was sure of it.
Well, until those pictures. The love in his eyes, on everyone’s face. The fact that Eddie even had a wedding that big.
He never wanted that with Gina.
They’d had a shambled, put together wedding at the Hideout- the fuckin’ Hideout. Gina's parents hadn’t even showed up, and Jeff and Gareth were telling Eddie not to go through with it moments before she walked down the aisle. Brielle was in a carrier next to Wayne, and Gina had to leave to pump after the ceremony.
No one looked at them like that. Congratulated them, celebrated them.
Gina felt surges of jealousy, hurt, anger tear through her. She pushed past Henry and his rambling, scrambling to find her phone.
She picked it up, ignoring the crack down the middle from where she’d thrown it, clicking Brielle’s name.
The line rang, and rang, and rang.
“Hi, this is Brielle. I can’t get to my phone right now, but-“
Gina growled, huffing angrily as she hung up. Of course Brielle didn't answer. She hadn't in nearly two weeks. Gina twisted her lips furiously, pacing back and forth in the living room. She clicked on Eddie’s name, gripping the phone in a white-knuckled vice.
He picked up on the third ring.
“Yes, Gina?” Eddie sounded tired, annoyed already.
Gina laughed humorlessly. “You stupid, stupid fucker!” She roared.
Eddie winced, pulling the phone back. The two of you were packing for your honeymoon. You looked up, brows furrowed in confusion.
“How dare you? How fuckin’ dare you?” Gina boomed.
“Gina-“
“You get married, and you don’t tell me?” Gina screamed so loudly, static filled on the other end.
“It’s really not your business.” Eddie snapped. “You didn’t tell me when you and Henry-“
“Oh, don’t you dare.” Gina seethed. “Brielle told you, you sick fucker! Where is my baby, huh? What did you do to her?”
Eddie blinked, confused. “What?” He asked. “Gina, what are you talkin’ about?”
Gina scoffed. “My daughter! My daughter, not your child bride’s!” She screeched. An unfair low blow, sure, but she wanted to hurt him. Have him hurting like she was.
“My Brielle didn’t tell me shit! She didn’t tell me she was in town, or-or that you two were getting married! I found out on Facebook, Eddie!” Gina roared, but her heart ached. “Brielle hasn’t called me in two weeks! Two!”
Eddie’s face fell, running a hand over his scruff. He knew Brielle was distancing herself from Gina, he didn’t blame her. She had been too toxic for too long, but it still didn’t make his heart hurt any less at the ache in her voice. He didn’t want her to hurt like that, not with Brielle. Maybe if he was crueler, more like Gina, he would say it was her own fault, but he couldn’t.
“I don’t know what you’ve done to her, or-or what your little Lolita fuckin’ wife has done to brainwash her, but you’ve crossed a line, Edward!” Gina heaved. “That is my baby! My daughter, and you’ve taken her from me! What did you do?”
“I didn’t do anything, Gina, Jesus!” Eddie screamed back, throwing his hands out.
You looked at him pleadingly. Eddie’s jaw was tight. “Did it ever occur to you that maybe she didn’t tell you because she knew you’d react like this?” Eddie snapped.
Gina faltered. Eddie never spoke to her like that. “Brielle is a grownup now, Gina. She can make her own choices. Neither one of us told her not to tell you. She made that call.” Eddie continued.
Gina felt her breath catch, heart hammering. She wouldn’t let him catch her vulnerable, hurt. “She’s not talking to me, Eddie, and that’s happening for a reason.” Gina snapped. “Is your new wife trying to replace me as her mother? You can tell that bitch she’s got another thing coming-“
“Hey,” Eddie barked. “I’m not doing this with you. You’re not going to talk about her like that, you got it?”
Your heart swelled slightly at his fierceness, protectiveness. Primal and strong, it made your legs clamp.
“You wanna know why Brie didn’t tell you? Ask Brielle. I don’t control what she does.” Eddie snapped.
Gina tilted her head back, keeping the tears that were threatening to fall. She clenched her jaw, breathing in deeply through her nose. “I told you,” she hissed, jaw still clamped shut to contain her emotions. “She’s- She’s not talking to me.”
Eddie fist loosened, looking at you. Your face shifted sympathetically, moving closer to hear the conversation better.
“Can you just tell me if she’s there?” Gina snapped, but even for her it was desperate, pitiful.
Eddie hesitated. “She’ll be in town for a while.” He said reluctantly. “Her and Madeline are house sitting for us while we’re gone.”
Gina felt her heart squeeze, ache. The honeymoon, it was the unspoken word. She never got a honeymoon with Eddie. Steve and Nancy had agreed to watch Brielle for the night so Eddie and Gina could have a night to themselves. That night was by far the best part of the entire wedding.
Gina took a deep breath in, pinching her eyes shut. “Could you-“ she stopped herself, fist clenching. She was embarrassed, begging Eddie like this to have him talk to her daughter. Having him hold control like this made her sick.
“Could you tell her to call me, please?” Gina asked, covering her mouth with her hand. “I-I won’t… Just tell her I want to catch up. I miss her.”
Your heart dropped, looking down the hall where Brielle sat, happy and contently catching up with your little sister. You didn’t blame her for wanting space, in some ways it was the best thing she could’ve done, but your heart still ached for Gina.
Eddie sighed, running a hand through his hair. “I’ll tell her, Gina.” He said softly. “But I can’t promise anything. She’s not little anymore.”
“I know that, Edward.” Gina’s biting tone had returned, making you roll your eyes. There was a pause. “Fuck, just-just tell her to call me. I won’t…” Gina didn’t finish her sentence, but you all knew what she was going to say.
“Fine.” Eddie said. “I’ll tell her. Anything else?”
Gina scoffed, hanging up the phone. The line beeped and went dead, Eddie looking at you with wide eyes, exasperated and drained. Gina had that effect on people.
“Well,” You chirped. “That went better than I thought it would.”
Eddie chuckled, collapsing on the bed. “Yeah,” he nodded. He looked out towards Brielle, then back at you hesitantly. “She’s real upset about it all, but…” he took a deep breath. “I know she’s most hurt about Brielle.”
You ran a hand down his shoulders, squeezing them softly, your wedding bands glimmering in the light of the room. You pressed a kiss by your thumb, nuzzling into his back.
“I know.” You hummed. “That’s her daughter. I’m not saying Brie is wrong, but… I get it. Maybe she needs to be a little hurt to get better. Repair their relationship.”
Eddie nodded. “You don’t think I-“
“Eddie, don’t you even start.” You snapped sternly, pointing a finger at him. “I’ve watched for years as Gina was so horrible to me, and you, and everyone else we cared about- everyone Brielle cares about too.” You gave him a knowing look. “There’s only so much you can deal with before you don’t want to anymore.”
Eddie sighed slowly. “Yeah,” he agreed.
“You don’t know what happened when we weren’t around either. What Gina said to Brielle. Remember when she was so horrible to me when we first started dating? Because she didn’t want to upset Gina.”
Eddie nodded. “You're right.” He said slowly. “I’m not going to force Brielle, but… I’ll tell her Gina misses her.” He looked at you as if for your approval. “She asked me to, and I think that’s fair.”
You smiled, leaning forward to kiss him sweetly. “I think you should.” You whispered, your nose on his. “Then no more Gina talk. Get it out of your system now, because if I hear her name when we’re in Aruba, I’ll throw you in with the sharks.” You grinned.
Eddie smirked, hands gripping your waist and pinning you on the bed. “Oh, will you, Mrs. Munson?” He teased, tickling your sides. “Think you’re gonna get my retirement that easily, huh? My life insurance? I think you’ll be a little disappointed, bunny.”
You giggled, squirming out of his touch. “Stop!” You laughed, head tipping back in laughter. “Mercy! Mercy!”
Eddie grinned, his lips on yours, deep and passionate. Hands finding each other, gripping and squeezing, clinging to each other.
“Oh, God, not this again.” Brielle groaned.
“Ew!” Madeline retched dramatically. “Shut the door you freaks!”
You laughed, Eddie’s nose resting on yours. “Yeah, did you not learn the first time?” Brielle snapped teasingly. “I’m still traumatized.”
Eddie scoffed, leaning up. “You learned to knock before coming in, didn’t you?” He asked with a grin. She rolled her eyes.
Eddie looked over at you, pleadingly and you took the hint. “Hey, Maddy, can you help me pack a few things?” You asked, getting your sister away from Brielle so she and Eddie could talk in private.
Eddie shot you a thankful smile, arms wrapping around Brielle’s shoulder as they went into the living room. You rolled your clothes, chatting excitedly with your little sister about your trip. You wondered if Gina and Brielle would talk.
Gina was at home, Henry anxiously handing her Xanax and trying to pry her phone away from her clutches, terrified of the wrecked woman in front of him. Gina started blankly ahead, her own wedding with Eddie playing in her mind.
Her mind kept flashing back to the ring. The smiles. Every photo she’d seen of the two of you.
Gina grit her teeth, fist balling. She was angry, hurt. Not just because Brielle hadn’t told her she was in town, but because it was official for the first time in her delusional mind.Eddie wasn’t hers anymore. He was yours.

“You have to stop taking your grief out on me.” There wasn’t an awful lot more Jake Seresin could have done about it. And the only thing he could think of that could fix the situation he found himself in was to go back in time, fly a little faster, and save your brother and what Jake could only describe as your ‘adoptive’ fathers, lives.
But he couldn’t bend the laws of physics anymore than he could bend time. So, he stayed standing in your living room—watching as you folded up the remaining bits of laundry you’d been neglecting to put away.
You hadn’t spoken in three very long, very silent days. The home you shared had become a silent battle ground of unspoken fear, grief and anger. You could cut the tension with a knife it had gotten so bad—but Jake gave you the space you so clearly needed. Until now—
“Leave me alone Jake.”
During those three days all Jake could think about was how he might lose you because he wasn’t a good enough pilot to be able to save Maverick and Rooster. He wasn’t fast enough, he wasn’t prepared enough—
Hell he wasn’t brave enough.
“Okay, I cannot, no matter how much you blame me—no matter how much you ask, no matter how much you criticize, ignore my existence or question me, I cannot bring them back baby.” Jake made his way across the space when you didn’t answer him, he missed the way things used to be before that damned mission. He crouched to his knees across from you—piles of washing kept a little distance. But none of that stopped Jake from tilting your chin up so that you had no choice but to look at him as he spoke. Nothing stopped him from cupping your cheeks in his hands just to run his thumbs across your soft and supple cheeks.
“I’m right here, I’m right in front of you baby—“ You and Jake had been on rocky rounds since he’d called you to inform you that your brother, Bradley Bradshaw and your uncle or, as some would be more comfortable referring to him as your dad, Pete Mitchell had both been killed during a mission. “Please look at me?” Jake continued to guide your gaze to his eyes. He smiled softly when you finally gave him the time of day. “I’m right here, just talk to me.”
He had to be the one who told you.
Jake couldn’t leave that task to anyone else—it was the least he could do, considering he had been the one who’d gone after them.
“I don’t even know who I’m looking at anymore.” There was a sickening feeling that hadn’t left your body since Jake had told you two of the most important people in your life had both died. “I don’t believe you when you say that you, Hangman, did everything you could to try and save them.”
You never called Jake Hangman, you knew deep down how much the meaning behind his callsign kept him up at night. But here you were, throwing it right back in his face.
Jake Seresin thought you loved him, understood who he was to the very bone. Jake thought you trusted him, knew his mind, body and soul. He had a ring tucked away in his bedside table—a Diamond worth more than he could afford. But yet here you were:
Just like all the others who ever came before you.
Jake thought you were different, that you saw him for who he really was. You were Bradley Bradshaw's little sister, the barista who made the world's most perfect oat milk vanilla lattes and just so happened to work at the coffee stand on base while Jake was stationed in Lemoore. Did he know you were Rooster's little sister? Not initially. Did he back down when he’d connected all the dots? No—he still thought you were just the sweetest thing.
But now you were sitting right in front of him, folding laundry that you’d neglected, calling him a liar after he’d told you all that he knew and all that he did.
“I don’t believe you when you say you didn’t hold back, that you did everything you could have to get there in time because I know you—“ Jake had dropped his hand a long time ago at this point. But he still sat there right in front of you and took the metaphorical beating you gave his person, his very being. “And I know that deep down, you and Bradley hated each other with such a passion that as soon as the opportunity came up where you could get rid of him? you took it.”
It was misguided anguish, Jake knew that. But this was getting a little too personal for his ego to handle.
“Is that what you really think?” Jake asked softly as he watched you get up off the ground with a huff. You’d promised you wouldn’t cry anymore, but you should have learnt by now not to make promises you couldn’t keep. “Do you really think I hated your brother so much that I'd just let him die?”
It wasn't just a question of morality, it was a question of character. Just who did you really think Jake was?
“Don’t walk away from me!” Jake hissed as he got up off the living room floor to follow you. Hell three weeks ago he thought he’d follow you anywhere on earth. Now he wasn’t too sure if you’d even let him. “Y/n! Don’t you dare walk away from me.”
“Leave me alone Jake!” You spat back as you made your way down the hallway towards your bedroom. “Before I say something I’ll regret.”
“Oh no honey, let's air out all our grievances now!” It was the condescending tone you didn’t appreciate the most as Jake followed you into your shared bedroom. He slammed the door so hard behind him that it nearly came off its hinges. It made you freeze in your place, the loud obnoxious sound of the door slamming shut rattled in your mind as Jake's footsteps grew heavy as he walked closer and closer to you. “Fucking tell me you don’t mean what you said.” He growled with a disdain in his temperament. “TELL ME!”
You’d never seen your boyfriend so mad before. Usually Jake was pretty content, but it was clear that your suspicions had struck a raw nerve.
“You killed my brother.” Was all you said as the backs of your legs hit the side of your bed. “And you killed the only man who was ever remotely my dad.” Jake could see it in your eyes—you believed every word you spoke with enough conviction that he even questioned what the truth of the matter was. “You're meant to be the best! But yet you weren’t good enough to save the two most important men in my life!?”
“I did everything that I could!” Jake was beginning to lose his damn mind as he pulled at his hair and clenched his jaw so hard he thought his teeth might break. “I love you, I really do but you are taking this too far Y/n—I didn’t kill your family! The enemy did, they were the ones who flew a little faster in better jets with better equipment and they were the ones who fired the missile—NOT ME!”
Jake knew you didn’t believe him, he knew that you’d already left before you had the guts to say it. He could see it written all over your face like a bad breakup song from the nineties. You couldn’t sleep beside the man who you blame with every fiber of your being for the deaths of your father and brother.
But you just couldn’t pull the trigger.
“Is this really how it’s gonna be?” Jake asked as he stepped a little closer, his chest was practically pressed against yours as you held your ground. “You blame me, I deny deny deny until my dying breath and we keep going around in circles like this?” The feeling of Jake's palm against your cheek had your tears welling, his thumb brushed against the apple of your cheek and all those stray hairs were now tucked back behind your ear. “I thought you knew me baby, c’mon, look at me yeah? Do you really think that I didn’t do enough?”
The silence that lingered spoke volumes. Jake knew right then and there that he had to leave, he had to step away. He couldn’t keep doing this—begging you to remember who he was because you were so clouded by your own grief.
Never once had you asked if he was okay. Never once had you asked how he was, if he was going alright after getting there just five seconds too late. You never asked if he laid awake at night playing that scenario over and over in his mind—never. You never asked because you didn’t care. You didn’t believe he was an innocent man in all of this.
“You know what?” But Jake Seresin was good at putting up walls to protect his heart. He was good at playing pretend, playing the part in people’s lives that they needed him to be. It was just easier to be The Hangman than it was to be Jake. Standing before the love of his life realizing that he would always and forever be remembered as the man who killed her brother was a role he never thought he’d play:
But for you he’d do it, and he’d do it well.
“Fine—I admit it.” Jake stepped back to put some distance between the two of you. He knew he’d never be so close to you again. It broke his heart into a million pieces but if this was who you really needed him to be he’d be that person. “I could have done more, but I chose not to.”
“Jake—“ You’d been thinking about it for days, the possibility, the probability that Jake had more involvement than he was leading you to believe. But hearing him actually say it threw everything you thought you knew out the window, along with your relationship.
“All your brother ever did was sit on that fucking perch of his and the one time he needed to get off? He wasn’t nearly capable enough to get himself out of a tough situation.” Jake had never hated Bradley, sure they had their tiffs and differences over the years but never did he ever hate the guy. “And Mav? His arrogance finally caught up with him! You should take some fucking comfort in the fact they’re both with your dead daddy now—it’s one big family fucking reunion because I chose to not take the shot when I so clearly had it!”
It was the biggest betrayal you’d ever experienced.
“Get out!”
“What! You’ve been blaming me for everything since before the funerals and now you wanna stand there and pretend you didn’t see it fucking coming?” Jake scoffed as he made his way across the room to collect a few things he’d need before showing up to Coyote's front door with his tail between his legs.
It was the biggest betrayal Jake had ever experienced.
“Leave! Get out of my house! Get out of my life before you have a chance to take anything else away from me!” You had never felt such a heartbreak, felt such a loss than when you finally heard Jake admit it. He could have saved them, but he chose not to for his own selfish reasons.
But Jake was a good man, he had his morals and his own heart to protect. He’d never forgiven himself for not being just a fraction faster—because when he saw that F-14 explode with two of the most important people in your life inside as his thumb grazed the trigger—he knew he’d lost you too.
“Trust me Bradshaw, you’ve got nothing left to fucking lose.”  ***~***~***~***~***~***~***~***~***~***~**~***~

Sugar mami
Rhea Ripley x Fem!Reader
•Mafia AU with Rhea as your sugar mami•
Tumblr media
I was sat at home watching some show i found waiting around for Rhea. Since i don't work because Rhea said i am too pretty to work for some other man or woman, i get bored quickly and i have watched so many movies already plus i try to clean but the cleaner Rhea hired does it mostly.
I had Rheas dogs cuddling me as i watch Hangover 1,2 and 3, i pet Barrys head as his eyes shut Luna already asleep and Ryuk asleep on a bed somewhere when the door swings open i knew it was Rhea.
"Hey baby!" I smile getting up to hug her but i stop when i see blood "oh" was all i said and she smiled "bad man didn't pay Mami in time" she smirked taking her shirt off then i hug her "i do hate you killing babe" i frown looking up at her "i know baby its nasty business but its what Mami has to do to stay on top and as you know" she smile waiting for me to finish "Mamis always on top" i smile as she kissed my forehead "i got you something" she says waking to her blazer grabbing a small box handing it to me.
I open the box to a beautiful pair of earrings "oh my babe its beautiful" i smile at her as she smirks at me "had to get my princess something" she says tucking hair behind my ear "i wamt you to wear them tonight" she smiles at me "tonight?" I say confused "yes princess we have dinner with Damian, Dom, Finn and JD" she says and i remember her saying about it last week "oh my god i should get ready!" I says going to leave before turning back kissing Rheas cheek "thank you" i smile running to our room.
I run in our room which was bigger than most dashing to my walk in wardrobe Rhea got some people to install for me to put all my clothes in she made them build me my own room for jewelry and bags as well. I rush to fine something nice as this was a big dinner and Rhea liked when i dressed up, i found a black short dress and a necklace Rhea got me which was gold with our initials on it with diamonds i also put my rings on and bracelets.
"Ready!" I smile walking over in my black heels that match my dress "you look beautiful like normal, now car is ready" she smiles taking my hand kissing it while looking into my eyes "so do you" i smile looking at her sliver jewelry and suite, we walk to the car which had bodyguard car to drive beside us as Rhea was wanted and killing he for even me will put a man status even higher and people were power hungry.
We step into the car Rheas hand on my thigh as we drive through the night, i look at the pretty light and stars as we drive by streets almost empty. The car stop outside a fancy restaurant very busy looking "looks nice" i smile at Rhea as she helps me out "only for you princess" she smiles as we link our walking in her bodyguards following us in, we see a table with four men at "guys this is Y/n, Y/n this is Damian, Dom, Finn and JD" i smile at them "hi" i say and they l say hi back as Rhea helps me sit down and sits by me her hand once again on my thigh "get whatever you like princess" she whisper to me before talking to the guys about business and some threatening gangs when a man probably in his 30s walks over and Rhea attention is immediately on him "Mark" Rhea smiles at him and the man looks kind of scared "now Mark lets cut to the chase wheres my money huh Mark where is it my babys ring don't buy themselves" she says pulling me closer as i still look at this man who glaces at me "i don't have it.." Mark mumbles "Speak up i dont like mumbling" Rhea snaps "i don't have the money!" He says louder and Rhea chuckles and looks at Damian and Dom who get up and hold Mark "now now Mark this is the 4th week you know what i said" venom was dripping of every word "you can't say you have a family but i have my baby okay Mark. And your very late on payment" her glare never leaves this poor man "i just need one more week Miss Ripley i am close to enough" Rhea lets a breathy chuckle out "your lucky my princess is here or i would shoot you dead Mark but my baby doesn't like that stuff so thank her for you living another week." Mark lets out a breath he must of been holding in as she shows the gun she had on her "one more week Mark i can't being doing this forever" and with that Dom and Damian let Mark go and he rushes out the restaurant "baby he said he had a family" i say sad that kids could lose their dad "he has multiple baby, its his excuse he doesn't love them" She says her arms still around me and i feel less bad for him.
"So Y/n" Dom says "you want kids" he smiles at me and i see Rhea glaring at him "i do actually" i smile back "baby Rheas" he smirks and she kicks him under the table "i will still kill you Dom" she says and i look at her "a family would be nice" i smile and she smiles back "okay baby one day i will give you a family you want" she kisses my forehead before glaring at Dom who just smiles innocently "what drink babe" i look over the menu "blue lagoon" i smile and she takes my hand of course she says sending someone to get my drink "want your naiks done again baby" she says looking at them "yeah these are getting old" i admit "lets get them done together" she says as my drink come back and she gets a bodyguard to test it to make sure no poison was in it and was it got the clear i started to drink it "lets get some food" JD says and the rest agree "princess order first" Rhea says kissing my lips as i kiss back "we are here" Damian says and Rhea flips him off making me giggle.

Chapter 1
Words: 1062
Summary: Prior being trapped under the spell of the Absolute, Kar'niss was just a normal drow, trying to survive the daily threats that the city of Menzoberranzan held. He thought himself lost until you found him, showing him that there is a beauty to life he thought impossible.
Tumblr media
"Come on, Niss!", you exclaimed as you squeezed through a narrow crevice in the rock, "you're getting old and slow!"
Kar'niss rolled his eyes, visibly annoyed, as he handed you a bag and attempted to maneuver through the tight space.
"I'm only four years older than you, besides you're a tiny excuse of a drow", he playfully teased, a mischievous smirk forming on his lips as he tousled your long, flowing white hair.
In response, you stuck out your tongue and let out a joyful giggle. Placing a blanket on the ground after lighting up the small lantern, it's glowing white light illuminating the small space like it was dunked in a pale moonlight, you sat down and patted the spot next to you, inviting Kar'niss to join you.
He settled into the blanket beside you, taking a deep breath. These moments spent with you were a source of tranquility, a stark contrast to the daily, often dangerous, chaos of Menzoberranzan that he endured. Trustworthy individuals, those who didn't seek to betray for personal gain, were a rarity in his district of the city. That's why, after meeting you for the first time five years ago, he made it his mission to cherish you like the rare gem you were to him— a shining diamond amidst the toxic darkness that surrounded him.
You had shown him this very spot on the day you first met, noticing the sorrow in his eyes as he wandered the streets of your district, his lip bloodied from a deep cut, his body littered with bruises. Without asking any questions, you simply took his hand and guided him here. He willingly followed, regardless of whether it led to his demise or not. He never mentioned what occurred on that particular day and you refrained from asking. Instead, both of you embraced the fact that you had entered each other's lives and remained together, relishing the tranquil privacy of that small, unknown cave as often as possible. Kar'niss vividly recalled the day it all changed again, two years after your initial meeting, as if it were yesterday. You were both sitting in the same spot on the same blanket when he timidly confessed his deepening feelings for you. His love for you had blossomed long before, but the fear of jeopardising your special friendship had held him back for far too long. To his surprise, you simply smiled at him, your eyes, a radiant shade of light purple, filled with joy as you leaned in and gently pressed your soft lips against his in a tender kiss. No words were necessary to express your answer; instead, you conveyed your affection through this simple act. From that moment on, the two of you became even more inseparable and it felt like nothing could ever tear you apart again.
The pain he had experienced in his past had led him to find solace in your presence - of that, he was certain. He believed that Lolth had somehow tested him before and he must have proven himself worthy, hence why she had bestowed upon him the gift of having you in his life now. And today, one day before officially proving himself worthy in the eyes of his goddess, was the day Kar'niss had chosen to declare his commitment to you. His hands fumbled nervously with the small ring tucked away in his pocket as he gazed at you. You softly hummed a tune, resting your head on his shoulder, blissfully unaware of what he intended to ask you. His fingers traced the intricate patterns of the diamond-adorned ring, seven delicate star-shaped stones set amidst a web of slender silver strings. It had once belonged to his mother, the last memento he possessed from his family before she fell victim to an assassin sent by another matron, right after he had been sent away to the Tower. However, all of that was insignificant now as he prepared to give you the ring and ask you to be his.
Your humming ceased as you rose slowly and positioned yourself between Kar'niss' thighs. Your gentle fingers caressed his cheeks while you showered his face with tender kisses.
"What troubles your mind, my beloved?", you asked, your nose gently nudging his as a smile graced your lips, although your eyes revealed the concerns that consumed your thoughts.
Kar'niss immediately ceased fidgeting with the ring and reached up to hold your hand, gently squeezing them as his sorrowful gaze met yours.
"Don't worry love", you whispered, pecking his lips, "I know no one more devoted to our great goddess than you. If anyone is capable of passing her test, it is undoubtedly you. I have unwavering faith in your abilities."
He felt his heart crack, anguish coursing through his thoughts as he dwelled on the impending test of faith. It was undeniable that his devotion to the goddess was unwavering, yet he couldn't shake the fear that accompanied the test. The fear of what might be demanded of him, the fear that he might not possess the strength to vanquish his opponent, inevitably leading to the devastating loss of his one true love. Little did he know, you also harboured the same fear, dreading a life without him, terrified that the agony of his absence would shatter your very essence into countless fragments, impossible to piece back together. Your hearts were entwined, your destinies entangled like a delicate spiderweb, but despite the depth of your faith and love, everything felt so fragile in the face of potential failure as Lolth was many things but not forgiving.
Kar'niss tenderly pressed his lips against yours, initially with a hint of hesitation. However, as he heard your gentle moan, his kiss intensified, filled with a growing passion. He leaned back, enticing you to join him, pulling your body closer to his own. The upcoming test and its outcome seemed insignificant compared to the present moment. Even if he were to fail tomorrow, he was determined to fully surrender himself to you, exposing his soul and body in this final act of intimacy as he cherished every touch exchanged between your bodies and he eagerly accepted each moan of praise that you would grant him. And if fate allowed it, tomorrow he, a devoted champion of Lolth, would finally summon the courage to ask you to be his.

Official John Wick Major Arcana tarot cards featuring Chapter 4 characters
Art by Julien Rico Jr, in collaboration with Lionsgate.
Sources: nerdsloveart, behance
Image descriptions below the cut:
[Start ID: 22 images featuring characters and locations from the movie "John Wick: Chapter 4" as Major Arcana tarot cards. The drawings are in black and white against a sandy beige background, and has plenty of circle motives. Roman numerals are at the top, their corresponding card title at the bottom, and the movie title "John Wick: Chapter 4" on the bottom left margin.
0: The number zero, or unnumbered, tarot card features Killa Harkan played by Scott Adkins as "The Fool". Killa is holding a 2 of spades between two fingers while giving a smug smile that shows off his set of golden teeth. He wears a ring on his right hand and the other hand is holding a stack of cards. Behind Killa is a minimalistic design resembling a casino token with details such as the diamond and clover symbols, as well as the numbers on the dice. In front of Killa is a table with two piling stacks of casino tokens, a gun, and the shadow of John Wick's head looming over a large portion of the table.
1: The number one tarot card features The Tracker or Mr. Nobody played by Shamier Anderson as "The Magician". Mr. Nobody has a smug expression on his face and is holding his rifle in a way that lets it rest slung over his shoulder. By his side is Mr. Nobody's Belgian Malinois. The backdrop consists of simplistic, grayish graphics of map vectors cropped into several circles of different sizes. There is a white-coloured infinity symbol on top of Mr. Nobody's head.
2: The number two tarot card features Rooney, aka The Ballerina, who first appeared in "John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum", as "The High Priestess". Rooney's back is facing towards us as she's performing a ballet move on a circular stage. Rooney is wearing a white crown and a dress that shows the cross tattoo on her back. In the backdrop, where Rooney's face is looking towards, are curtains with the initials "JW" written on the far ends of the frame.
3: The number three tarot card features Katia played by Natalia Tena as "The Empress". With a cool expression on her face, Katia is leaning forward against a set of railings, giving off a domineering aura. Katia is wearing a metallic necklace and a cross on her neck. Behind Katia is the crest of the Ruska Roma and a line in Russian circling around it.
4: The number four tarot card features The Bowery King played by Laurence Fishburne as "The Emperor". The Bowery King is sitting on a throne, but behind him is a pair of eyes staring menacingly at us. In front of him is a logo design with the same pair of eyes, though rendered smaller and appear less menacing, with an X crossed in between and a horizontal line capping the top of the X. At the Bowery King's feet, a few pigeons are shown in the foreground while the Brooklyn Bridge appear in the background.
5: The number five tarot card features The Elder as "The Hierophant". Behind the Elder is an Islamic floral design which extends into a more geometrical pattern. Standing in the background are two of the Elder's men.
6: The number six tarot card features John and Helen Wick, played by Keanu Reeves and Bridget Moynahan, as "The Lovers". John and Helen are smiling brightly towards each other in front of a New York night cityscape backdrop, with the Empire States building separating them at the centre. Above John and Helen is a silhouette of them pressed against each other about to kiss in front of a bright sun with the Brooklyn bridge in the background.
7: The number seven tarot card features John Wick driving his 1971 Plymouth Barracuda as "The Chariot". There is a bullet mark on the front glass pane of John Wick's car. On top is a closeup of John Wick surrounded by a circle of road markings and bullet marks.
8: The number eight tarot card features Charon played by Lance Reddick as "Strength". On top of Charon's head is the infinity symbol, and behind is a design reminiscent of a timepiece neatly decorated with knives, guns and bullets in a circle. Further behind is a faded image of the reverse side of the Gold Coin. Filling the bottom of the frame is the New York cityscape backdrop illuminated by the sun.
9: The number nine tarot card features Caine played by Donnie Yen as "The Hermit". Caine wears sunglasses and is holding a cane in his left hand and a pistol in his right. Caine's head is illuminated by a circle of bright light, which is surrounded by a dimmer, slightly bigger circle with Japanese wave patterns and then large protruding rays of black. In the backdrop are two winding trees along with a city landscape of Osaka, but they are overshadowed by Caine's black rays.
10: The number ten tarot card features L’Arc de Triomphe as "The Wheel of Fortune". The location is illustrated in such a way that looks like a clock, with the monument at the centre and twelve roads leading towards it. Surrounding the Arc de Triomphe are the letters from John Wick's name arranged in the exact order of north-west, north-east, south-west, south-east, west, north, east and south directions.
11: The number eleven tarot card features The Harbinger played by Clancy Brown as "Justice". The whole illustration is framed as if the Harbinger is contained inside an hourglass, with a half-body portrait of the Harbinger at the top and a full-body silhouette of him forming at the bottom from the sand flowing downwards. Behind the Harbinger's portrait is the Latin quote, "si vis pacem, para bellum", whereas next to the Harbinger's silhouette is a crescent moon. Along the sides of the hourglass outside are two duel pistols facing opposite directions on each side.
12: The number twelve tarot card features Koji Shimazu played by Hiroyuki Sanada as "The Hanged Man". Except for his feet, Koji is portrayed as an vertically-inverted reflection of himself on a pool of water. Koji is holding a katana and his head is surrounded by a circle of dim light and a brighter, slightly larger circle made of Japanese wave patterns. As seen in the reflection, behind him are cherry blossom trees and the Osaka city landscape.
13: The number thirteen tarot card features John Wick, aka the Baba Yaga, played by Keanu Reeves as "Death". John Wick is holding a pair of nunchucks in his right hand. Behind John Wick is a city landscape of Osaka lighted by the moon while his head is surrounded by a row of skull pictograms and two rows of bullets. There is also an faded image of the reverse side of the Gold Coin behind John Wick.
14: The number fourteen tarot card features Winston played by Ian McShane as "Temperance". Winston is holding up a wine glass with a capital C labelled on it, and there are multiple swords projecting from his back like wings. Behind Winston is the hotel name "Continental" and numerous halos of various fonts and patterns, along with the cityscape of New York, with the Statue of Liberty and the Empire States building in sight.
15: The number fifteen tarot card features The Marquis, Vincent Bisset de Gramont, played by Bill Skarsgård as "The Devil". Behind the Marquis is his signature emblem with two black knives crossed behind his head. The emblem is surrounded by two rows of knives. In the background is the night cityscape of Paris with the Eiffel Tower in view, illuminated by a moon that is surrounded by a snake or serpent that's chasing its own tail.
16: The number sixteen tarot card features the New York Continental Hotel as "The Tower". The top floors of the Continental Hotel are being set on fire as the small dark silhouette of John Wick and the debris carried along fall from its rooftop.
17: The number seventeen tarot card features Akira played by Rina Sawayama as "The Star". Illuminating behind Akira is a star resembling a six-pointed shuriken with two Japanese stork paintings on its left and right, which is further surrounded by a circle of alternating arrow fletchings and four-pointed shuriken. Akira is holding a bow and arrow and standing tall as the bodies of two men lie dead around her. In the background are the branches of cherry blossom trees and the sun or moon shining behind Akira.
18: The number eighteen tarot card features John Wick's and Mr. Nobody's dogs as "The Moon". The two dogs are staring up at the crescent moon, which is shaped as if John Wick's head is covering portions of the full moon. Surrounding the crescent moon are small stars and a illustration of the cycle of the moon phases. The two dogs are sitting on a road leading into an ambiguous city landscape in the background.
19: The number nineteen tarot card features the Sacré-Coeur as "The Sun". The rays of the sun spread out far and wide as wisps of clouds drifts behind the giant church. A dark silhouette of John Wick can be seen on the top open window of the Sacré-Coeur.
20: The number twenty tarot card features Chidi played by Marko Zaror as "Judgement". Behind Chidi is the emblem of the Marquis with a black knife cutting across behind his head. Below Chidi are the High Table's heavily armoured soldiers who are backdropped by a big splatter of sandy beige.
21: The number twenty-one tarot card features John Wick as "The World". John Wick's back is facing towards us with his head glancing back, showing us his face. Overlayed on top of him is his surname "Wick" with the "I" replaced by a bright silhouette of a walking John Wick. A circle of bullets surrounds John Wick and bullet marks scatter around him as the emblems of the High Table, the Marquis, the Adjudicator, and the Gold Coin fill all four corners of the frame.

Date night
Just imagine..18+++
Date night with Ran.
NSFW
Tumblr media
The night started with your husband, pretty good and relaxed to be exact. Having a nice dinner, being a gentleman, holding your hand and mumbling sweet words and praises to you through all the car rides, through dinner, and now while you were in his car parked where he had a view of the city he owned.
Hard to enjoy the view when he’s in the backseat fucking your throat.
“Yeah baby, what a good girl. Keep fuckin playing with my balls don’t you dare stop.” His hand in your hair tightened as he used it to guide your head. He would occasionally ‘adjust’ his hips just holding your head down, saying he was fixing himself.
The make up you spent so much time doing was pretty good minus the mascara that was slightly smeared under your eyes and your lip liner was long gone when he started making out with you and demanded suggested you get in the backseat.
He admired you all night, gave your ringed fingers kisses, took in the scent of the Gucci Bloom Perfume you wore that he’d gotten you as a gift. The black dress you wore drove him insane he had a nice eyeful of your thighs due to the length and it hugged your body so nicely he wouldn’t keep his hands to himself tonight, a nice black Diamond garter on your thigh he gifted you with for the sole purpose of being the only one to take it off, you wore black Sandles to pair it together showing off all the flashy, expensive and inexpensive anklets and the most eye catching one was of course the one that had his initials and was adorned with purple diamonds.
He really wanted to take you home but when you laid your legs in his lap in the front seat and he peeked over to see your Lacey pastel purple panties he couldn’t help but snatch you up by the throat and steal your breath away with his kisses. The bouquet of roses he got you was on the dashboard and thank every god for tinted windows cause he would kill anyone who saw you like this tonight.
“Fuck baby, get up here.” He pulled you off him and admired your glossy lips and cupped your jaw as you position yourself on his lap.
He slipped his tongue in your mouth tasting himself and the hint of white wine you had. He tightened his grip on your jaw, pulling you closer and allowing his hand to push your dress up.
“Gonna get you fucking pregnant if you keep going like that tonight” his hand grabbed onto your underwear and pulled a bit harshly ripping the fabric before tossing it to the floor of his backseat.
“Bab-” he kissed you cutting you off while sliding two fingers in making you moan.
“What? Don’t worry baby I’ll get ya more. For now just cream on my fingers pretty little slut” he grabbed on your ass and gave a hard spank to it before digging his nails into the flesh as you moan.
“Like it when I spank you huh? Every. Single. Time.” With each word a harder spank was delivered and you held his fingers in a Vice and he felt the way your arousal was dripping down his rings and into his palm. “Yes! Ran, I’m gonna c-”
He removed his fingers causing you to whine at the loss of contact but he pressed himself into you shutting you up, the initial stretch and burn made you moan into his neck and your hands found home in his hair giving it a pull causing a throaty groan to escape his lips.
His lips parted against your neck and he kissed the skin softly, leaving wet kisses and sucking hard into the skin of your neck occasionally making you moan loudly and attempt to pull away from his teeth in your neck.
“ don’t fuckin run from me baby. Be good and let daddy mark you up.” He used his hands to guide your hips in a tight grip as he abused the skin on your neck.
“Fuck, ya got me in a Vice princess, go ahead and cum for me” he moaned digging his nails further into your hips and slamming you down harder.
You were able to move your hips at your own pace but he wanted all control here. He always did, he made sure you picked up the speed and moaned like a whore in his ear, His Whore.
“Bab-y so good.gonna cum” you moan kissing his hairline then dipping your head down to find his pulse point and give it a nice little love bite. The praise made Rans heart and dick throb, his ego was absolutely inflated whenever he heard your sweet words.
He knew he is the one and only to make you say such sweet words and he’d be the only one going forward.
The pressure in your stomach built more and more as the wet sounds from between your legs was only louder than before.
Your thighs trembled and your warm walls held him in a Vice as you came around him but that didn’t stop him from bouncing you in his lap.
“You’re fucking my seats up Princess, made a fucking mess” he didn’t give a flying fuck that you’d just creamed all over him and the warm substance was coating his shaft and dripping down his balls. “ such a messy little girl I got, so Fucking messy”
You couldn’t utter a single word back. Your hands nails dug into the skin in the back of his neck.
You weren’t even focused enough to realize the loving look he gave you as he laid you on your back.
He fucked you through the aftershocks of your orgasm and towards the next. The way he effortlessly folded your body with his was amazing.
He was even a bit prideful that the small dress you wore was in tact with the way you were folded and with how far your knees were pushed to your shoulders.
“Cmon baby look me in the eyes when I’m fucking you” his right hand moved from holding your leg to cupping your jaw tightly while he effortlessly paced his hips and slammed into you continuously.
“You always get so tight when you get manhandled, you’re my nasty little slut right? What do ya say when I fuck you stupid” he smirked in your face biting down on his bottom lip to keep from moaning out loud when you tightened around him again.
“R-ran baby, t-thank you” you stuttered out feeling that familiar coil in your stomach tighten once again. One hand held onto his wrist of the hand on your jaw and the other tightened in his hair to pull him closer and plant your lips on his in a heated kiss.
There was no fight for dominance cause ran held that way over your head but he didn’t mind giving it up for that one second cause it made his dick throb inside your walls.
His hand moved from your jaw to your neck and he gave a tight squeeze for a few seconds and released just to hear that sweet moan that left your mouth and was swallowed by his own.
He pulled from the kiss and you whined but immediately choked on it when he glared at you and pulled your hand from His wrist and kissed you again with full tongue and pulled away with your bottom Lip between his teeth. He kept his hand around your throat while kissing and biting anything he could even spreading his fingers around your neck to taint the skin with love bites and hickeys for the world to see who you belong to.
“Your squeezing me princess, ya gonna cum from me marking you up? My little slut. Fuck~ such a good girl” he groaned into your neck leaving soft loving kisses to contradict his degrading words while thrusting into you harshly.
“Yes! Y-yes more baby please, a-” you were cut off by your own moan and cry out for him. The tears in your eyes fell and rolled down your temple on each side.
“Fuck, only Time I wanna see you cry is like this baby. Now cum.” He said with a tighter squeeze to your throat and felt how your legs started to violently shake around his hips and your nails scratched at the back of his neck as he gave you a few more thrust and one final push that was almost in your guts and released his load deep in your cunt.
“Fuck baby, s’ too deep” you whined digging your nails in deeper but his grip around your neck held you in place even if it was lighter than before as well as his body weight. His kisses and sucks to your neck were an attempt to calm you down.
“I know baby, I know. I love you so much you did so well for me like always.” He was breathing in your scent. He wouldn’t lie and say he wasn’t thinking about how he was gonna pull out and not fuck his seats up again.
You wrapped your arms around his neck and rubbed the back of it knowing you definitely broke the skin. You looked down to see his head rested on your collarbone and he was so relaxed And content.
“I don’t wanna pull out but, my seats are already fucked up.” He mumbled into your chest and you both bursted out into laughter.
“A little too late to pull out my love” you said and he shrugs his shoulders as best as he could.
“Oh whatever, you like it.” He smirks to himself
“Like a Twinkie” he mumbles before laughing
“Hope the couch is comfortable dickhead” you said and heard him whine.
God, how did you get so lucky to have such a bad ass man but at the same time he’s such a big baby.
“Cmon pretty girl let me get you home and take a shower with my wife.” He kissed you softly and pulled out of you trying his hardest not to let a sound past his swelled lips.
Your breath hitched for a minute and ran fixed himself and very poorly attempted to clean you up with the panties he ripped off of you earlier and then grabbed wet and dry naps making you smack him on the head.
He helped you to the front seat cause he had to due to the fact that your legs were shaking quite badly.
He teased you the whole car ride and was massaging your thighs when you guys got home.
Funniest part is, the guy who cleaned his car seats didn’t do everything and about 2 days later when you,Ran, his brother, and sanzu went out for drinks they sat in the back seat. You had all started a civil conversation laughing and cracking jokes till sanzu dropped his lighter.
He used his flashlight to find it but far under his seat he saw the pastel purple panties that your dear husband had not only ripped off you, but used them to clean his cum off of you.
He smirked to himself and grabbed his lighter. He may have also snapped a picture for safe keeping.
He also sent a message to Rindou telling him to look under the seat and keep his mouth shut.
Rindou looked at him with a face that read “are you fucking serious right now?” And rolled his eyes before using his phone light to look and his eyes got wide.
That explains the bruises on your legs and and marks all over your neck and collarbones.
“Jesus fucking Christ if you two are gonna fuck in here at least remember to grab all personal belongings” Rindou said out loud slightly disgusted but thinking hard now about what goes on for your underwear to have been ripped off that way.
“Don’t get your boxers in a bunch Rinnie, we did it right where y’all are sitting.” Ran commented nonchalantly.
Your face burned and your husbands comment only made your face burn hotter. You smacked him in the shoulder. “shut up”
“What!? You two couldn’t wait till you weren’t in the car.” Sanzu said sitting up and making sure he was t sitting on any mystery stains.
“Relax I had it cleaned. And clearly I need to fire someone.”
Sanzu just smirked to himself and knew that he is gonna have great Blackmail and material for those lonely nights.
He was also sure that Rindou would too.
He did indeed.

Pete finally got home after tour, it’s been. six months and you decided to surprise him, “Baby?” he asks from the front door “ In here!” you say and he runs to the living room. He wraps his arms around your waist and kisses you on your nose “what’s that?” he asks looking at the couch behind you. “a present” you giggle and he raises his eyebrow before walking over to the wrapped present, “what is it?” he smiled and you shrug “gotta find out.” you smile before watching him pick it up and shake it around, “ be careful!!” you say and he chuckles before tearing the wrapper off.  his eyes light up and he picks up the cam corder, “there’s something else for you” you bite your lip and walk over to the bedroom. “is it lingerie ?” he laughs and follows you, You stayed quiet as Pete marveled at the fancy gift, holding it up to his face like he was testing how it looked through the viewfinder.
“Gorgeous,” he said, peeking out at you. “I think I found my muse.” You scoffed and covered the camera with your hand even though it wasn’t charged.  “Plug it in and we’ll see how it works later,” you said. he places it down on the counter, You giggled as he pinned you down on the rug, peppering kisses on your cheeks. “peteee,” you groaned. He finally stopped, hovering over you. “You’re such a spoiled brat.” That made him grin even more. He pecked your lips chastely, then sat back on his knees.  You scrambled to stand up and grinned. “Stay there, alright?” He nodded and you disappeared into the bedroom Hidden away in the nightstand was a glass trinket box you’d thrifted a few months ago. It was shaped like a heart, with little gold foil embellishments. You couldn’t leave without it. You knew the real gift was inside, but you still hoped that Pete would like the box. Pete was fiddling with the camera when you stepped back into the living room, trying his best to plug it in to charge. When he saw you, though, he smiled and sat down on the couch, waiting for you to join him. “It isn’t much,” you insisted as you handed it over. “I hope you like it though.” He smiled and nudged your cheek with his nose. “Are you joking? This is adorable. I love it. I’m gonna keep all my important stuff in here.” You smiled and shook your head. “Babe, open it.” He looked sheepish as he lifted the lid, then his expression softened. You watched with a fluttering in your chest as he lifted the chain from the box. It took months to save up for real gold, and then for the pendants after. Two initials— his and yours. “If you don’t like it, I can take it back and get something you actually w—“
He cut you off with a quick kiss that made your head spin. “It’s perfect. Best gift I’ve ever gotten, hands down.” He was quick to put it on, smiling over at you. “How do I look?”
You pecked his cheek. “A million bucks, babe.” He leaned in and gave you a real kiss— deep and intense. You smiled against his lips and melted into his touch. You’d never loved someone the way you loved him.
“Wanna know what’s crazy?” He said after he pulled away. You nodded and he gestured towards the bedroom. “I bought you something too. Stay here.”
You sat patiently as he got up and hurried into the bedroom. You heard scuffling and the sounds of moving drawers until he returned, holding a wooden box.
“Your gift is inside this, by the way,” he teased as he sat back beside you. You watched him with anticipation until he flipped it open and your heart stopped.
“So, uh, I got you jewelry too,” he said softly, or maybe your ears were just ringing.  Inside the box, nestled in the middle of a tiny silk pillow, was a diamond ring.
Like, a diamond ring. The kind you get married with.  “That’s—“ He nodded. “Yeah, it is,” he said, grinning ear to ear. “Will you marry me?”
you put the ring on and kissed him like he was your one and only source of oxygen. It felt like it anyway— that if you parted from him even a little you’d cease to exist.
“Yes?” He asked, smiling nervously. “That’s a yes?”
You kissed him again. “It’s a yes, Pete. I wanna marry you.”
———
Pete forgot about the video camera in the excitement of the engagement. Because he had to call Patrick’s hotel and let him know, and then he spilled the news to the boys, and suddenly it felt like everyone knew.
After hours and hours of catching up and celebrating the day, you and Pete were left alone in a quiet house.
“So… the future Mrs. Pete Wentz…” you turned and rolled your eyes at the sight of Pete holding the video camera that had been charging all night. “Anything you want to say to the camera on the night of our engagement?”
“How do you know I’m not keeping my last name?” You asked as he got closer, putting the lens right in your face. You giggled and ducked out of the way as the lens came close to knocking against your nose. “You’re such a child.”
He grinned. “Alright, give me something to remember this night by. For posterity, baby.”
You smiled wickedly at him before lifting the hem of your shirt, flashing your tits at him and the camera. By the time you lowered your shirt back down, his mouth was ajar. “We are never showing anyone this video now.”
You grinned. “Nuh-uh, baby, this is all for you.” You raised your brows in a challenge and stepped into the bedroom, leaving him to hurry behind you with the clunky machine.
He stood in the doorway, camera focused on you as you slipped off your blouse and skirt. The whirring of machinery inside the camera indicated he was zooming in on your tits. You stifled a laugh at the noise as he zoomed out again, taking in all of you.
“Strip for me,” he directed behind the camera. You gave a wry grin as your thumbs slipped behind the waistband of your panties and dragged them down your legs slowly. “Fuck, you’re so sexy. Gonna put on a show for me?”
You settled on the bed on all fours, back arched as you crawled towards the headboard. Pete groaned at the sight, breath shuddering as you flipped around and spread your legs for him. Without needing instructions, you slipped one hand between your legs and let the other move to your chest, kneading your breast between your fingers.
He moved from the doorway— the magnetic pull of you too much to resist for long. He settled at the end of the bed, the camera so close it made butterflies swell in your tummy. He moved the camera to your hands, one between your legs, teasing your clit and dipping into the pool of arousal at your center, and the other toying with your nipples, the shiny diamond on the engagement ring glinting with each small movement
“Christ, baby hold the camera—“ he said suddenly, passing it over to you. You laughed as he practically threw it into your hands and you had to scramble to turn it right side up.
You laughed as he tore off his clothes, probably popping some buttons here and there. “Pete, what are you— oh!”
Without hesitation, Pete buried his head between your thighs, moaning at the taste of your juices as he lapped at your pussy. It was a struggle to film him and enjoy the moment, especially since you had to watch him through the viewfinder. But something about capturing something so intimate on film made a thrill run through you.
“Fuck, Pete—“ you moaned, being more vocal than you normally would for the camera. Fuck the neighbors, honestly. It was your engagement night! “Your mouth feels so good, honey.”
His hazel eyes peered up at you, at the camera, framed by pretty long lashes. His lips formed a seal around your clit and he sucked lightly, making your legs tremble. Your free hand moved to his hair, tangling in the soft locks as his mouth elicited gasps and moans.
A slick sheen had formed on the tip of his nose, his mouth, and chin from his ministrations. The sight made heat bloom in the pit of your stomach. His eyes fluttered closed as he lost himself in you— relishing in your sounds, your smell, your taste.
A light pat on your thigh was his wordless signal for you to move and accommodate him more. You acquiesced, spreading your legs as much as you were comfortably able to, and he let his fingertips tease at your center.
“Relax for me, baby,” he said, his words vibrating against your clit. He gave the bundle of nerves a light kiss before he looked up at you. “I’ve got you. Just…” He pushed his middle finger into you and you moaned low in your throat, instinctively pushing back against the intrusion. “That’s it. Just like that.”
He was always so gentle with you during foreplay— taking his time to really explore every single spot that he knew made you tick. You shuddered as the pad of his finger pressed against a particularly sensitive spot within you. He knew you like the back of his hand— probably better. He slid a second finger beside the first, coaxing moans and gasps from you as he gave all his attention to your clit and g-spot.
Your thighs trembled as you fought the instinct to close them around his head, the stimulation bordering on too much. The softness of his mouth on you, the press of his fingers against the most sensitive spot inside— making you cum was simply too easy for him. You barely had time to gasp out a breathy “I’m cumming—“ before your orgasm hit you. Your walls gripped his fingers like a vise as he worked you through it, muttering praise against your cunt before he withdrew his fingers completely.
You stared at the ceiling, trying to find your breath. “C’mere. It's your turn,” you said with a grin.
Pete simply shook his head. “Not done.” He moved his mouth back to your cunt, this time without the hungry ferocity. You sighed at the sensation, your legs twitching when the tip of his tongue brushed against your clit. His movements lost purpose with each pass of his tongue until he was practically making out with your pussy.
Your head fell back against the pillows, soft gasps slipping past your lips. Pete moaned against you as you tugged his hair, a furrow forming between his brows. So utterly lost in you that he hadn’t even noticed that he was rutting against the bed for friction.
“C’mere,” you said softly. He pressed a final, wet kiss to your pussy before resting his head on the plush of your thigh. Your stomach flipped as he licked his lips, chasing those last remnants of your taste. He pressed a soft kiss to your belly before crawling up to meet you.
The kiss you shared was hungry and slow. The camera was shoved to the side so you could put your mouth on his— tongues meeting, the tang of your arousal and his spit flooding your senses.
A low moan escaped his lips as your hand snaked between your two bodies, where you took his length into your hand and stroked slowly. His mouth fell open, a small furrow between his brows.
“Fuck, baby,” he groaned. You smiled up at him innocently and let your thumb glide across his tip. A full-body shiver overtook him, and you couldn’t help but giggle at the sight. Pete was easy to love all the time, but especially when he was needy. “Switch spots with me.” When you furrowed your brows he nodded towards the camera. “Please?”
When he sat back on his heels, you moved from beneath him and let him settle with his back against the pillows. You were slightly annoyed that he had control of the camera, because goddamn. His thighs were bowed out slightly, cock resting against his stomach. The sight made your heart hammer as you straddled his thighs.
Pete took the camera back into his hands, a wide smile on his face. “Alright, just do what you were doing,” he instructed. “Left hand though.”
You glanced down at your hand and smiled softly. The engagement ring— your engagement ring— glinted up at you. You spit onto your hand and Pete groaned at the sight.
“Haven’t even touched you yet,” you teased.
“Don’t let me stop you.” His voice wavered, revealing just how needy he really was.
He cried out the moment your hand wrapped around his length, head tossed back against the headboard. His cock pulsed in your hand as it glided up and down, aching for more. You leaned down, spitting onto his tip, giving you more slickness to work with.
“Fuck,” he groaned, his chest heaving. You moved your right hand to his balls, kneading them as you focused your attention on the head. “Jesus, look at that fuckin’ rock, huh?”
You rolled your eyes and chuckled wryly. “That’s what you’re thinking about? Not— y’know— the handjob to end all handjobs?” To prove your point, you twisted your hand and let your thumb glide over his slit. He practically whimpered, bucking into your grip.
You redoubled your efforts, relishing in each desperate, whiny noise you were able to elicit. He was getting close— you could feel it in the way he throbbed in your hand, and hear it in the desperate pants and moans passing his lips. Before he could finish, you slowed your pace and let him come back from the edge.
He sat there, arm slung over his eyes, just catching his breath. “Earth to Pete?” You teased, placing a kiss on his tummy. He made a low noise in the back of his throat and took another deep breath.
“Okay, I’m good,” he said, a breathy laugh escaping his lips as he finally lowered his arm and looked at you. “Just needed a minute so I didn’t—“ You giggled as he mimed an explosion, completely unabashed about the effect you had on him.
He grabbed the camera and placed it on the bedside table, doing his best to angle it just right. “Alright… wanna take a ride on the Wentz Express?” He patted his thighs with a smug expression and you groaned in annoyance.
“Pete.”
“Fine. I’ll be so cool. I’ll be totally normal. But just know… you’re marrying a loser.”
You rolled your eyes good-naturedly as you straddled his thighs. “I wouldn’t have it any other way… most of the time.”
He stared up at you like you hung the moon, all doe eyes and heart-shaped pupils. He pressed a gentle kiss to your lips, tender and slow, and you hummed contentedly at the feeling.
“I love you,” he murmured against your lips. He moved one of your hands from his shoulder and down to his chest, where his heart thumped steadily. For you.
Your own heart lurched in your chest as a swell of emotions overtook you. “I love you too, Pete.”
You reached between the two of you, taking his cock into your hand so you could position him at your entrance. You breathed slowly through your nose as you sank down— the prep and attention he had given you made the stretch comfortable and bearable, so all you felt was the pleasurable full feeling that he gave you.
Once you were fully seated, you gave an experimental roll of your hips. A moan escaped you at the feeling— as each tiny movement made delicious electricity run along your nerves.
He sat up fully, his chest pressing against yours, holding you firmly against him. “That’s it, baby,” he groaned, cutting himself off to plant wet kisses along your jaw and throat. “Feels so good. Love the way your pussy feels around me.”
He cried out as you began to ride him in earnest, not caring how thin the walls of the condo were. His hands gripped onto your hips and dimpled the plush skin there as he began to meet your thrusts with his own. With each movement, you could feel him getting deeper until you could practically feel him in your guts.
“Pete,” you gasped out, meeting his gaze as he fucked up into you. The sound of his name seemed to spur him on.
“Say it again,” he demanded. “Touch yourself while you do,”
You whimpered at the tone of his voice, snaking a hand between your bodies to toy with your clit. Your limbs felt like jelly as he continued to fuck the life and brains out of you. “Pe-Pete, fuck, baby,” you cried between the hiccup-y sobs of pleasure that were punched from your lungs.
“Fuck, you’re squeezin’ me so tight. Not gonna last like this.”
“Don’t,” you managed. “Cum for me. With me.” You leaned in and kissed him in a way that felt like more saliva than lips.
When you pulled back, he nodded, forehead pressed against yours as you both worked each other over the edge. Your vision was spotted with pinpricks of light while he worked you through it, his moans distant in your ears.
You were both panting, nearly tacked together with sweat as you came down. You chuckled lightly as you tilted your head to look at him. “That was one hell of a celebration.” He intertwined your fingers and placed a kiss on your ring finger.
“And we have the rest of our lives to do it again, and again, and again, and ag—“
You shut him up with a kiss. You figure that for the rest of your lives, that’s always going to work.
It does.

Tumblr media
✰ sanji ┊✰ wc; 0.5k ┊ [ F ]
you made sanji's heart your home.
content warning: me being inspired by this one poem that was in my english text book in 7th grade. idk tell me if i missed anything
Tumblr media
Sanji couldn't sleep. His mind was in chaos, utter chaos.
He was attracted to every woman he saw, then why? Why were you tattooed into his brain so painfully than the rest? Was it the way you would gravitate towards him when danger would introduce itself? Or when you'd help him set the table? Maybe whenever he sees you cooking yourself a midnight snack, he gets the same frisson of serenity and married life. Either way, your name made his heart its home. Your surname was engraved into the nameplate, the bricky exterior accented with shades of dark green, hydrangeas littered across the front door, ranging from white to blue to pink to purple and although muffled, he hears you softly humming.
It's about 5 o’clock  in the morning now, another hour left until the cook has to prepare breakfast, the Thousand Sunny being uncharacteristically quiet, empty of Luffy's antics. While the others peacefully slept, Sanji cursed his consciousness for bringing your delicate features into his dreams every second, he gripped his hair in frustration, groaning in annoyance.
Home and love, the words may be small but they meant so much to him. Four little letters hold onto each so tenderly that even when angels talk in heaven above, he's sure they have no words more sweet than home and love.
The blond man fidgets with the door handle to the kitchen, your face still translucently etched into his tired vision. He sighs and moves on to start cooking, to start the day. his crew mates have started to fill the empty kitchen with you being the last to enter, he smiles a bit, continuing to serve the others what they ordered.
he finally brings over your breakfast, little hearts cut out of your food from here and there, a tiny smiley pushed into your toast. At first you thought he served the breakfast for all the girls on the ship like that, but when Nami pointed out that consuming that much 'love' early in the morning was unhealthy, you peeked over to the navigators plate, seeing only a smiley on her bread, similar to yours, but that was it, no hearts and no 'love' for Nami.
you liked this sudden relevance, catching Sanji glancing towards you throughout the day, you decide to confront his favoritism for you.
Soft knocks rap at the door thrice, Sanji initially ignores them, his mind being a bit occupied, but when the knocks become impatient, so does he.
When the door opens, Sanji finds himself surprised to see you, the moonlight illuminating a part of your face.
Tumblr media
Although it's been 24 years, he remembers that day very well. He's glad that you confronted him that night, because if you didn't, you wouldn't have been outside in the little kitchen garden watering the herbs and the hydrangeas in the verandah beside it.
you wouldn't have the thin gold band wrapped around your ring finger, a dark blue diamond encrusted onto the ring, The jewel glistening under the big bright Sun.

The Ceremony
Pairing : Billy Hargrove x Fem!Reader
Summary : Six months after your engagement, it's finally time to marry Billy and well, his reaction isn't what you expected whatsoever.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Warnings : Swearing, illusions to smut at the end, one mention of Neil's abuse
Word count : 2,738
A/N : Part 2 to The Proposal
April 1986
The bridal suite was busy, people working around you to do your makeup, your hair already having been in its style since early in the morning. Max huffed and puffed as she fixed her dress. "Why'd I have to be the flower girl?" You glanced at her, "Because Billy wanted you to be." Her face softened, "Oh, never mind, I love the dress, even the itchiness." Everyone in the room laughed.
You looked down at the ring on your finger, different from what Billy proposed with back in October. He had upgraded it, taking more hours at the garage he worked at. Now, it was a two and a half carat princess cut diamond ring with smaller diamonds on the band. You stared at the silver band you had bought for him with a custom engraving of the wedding date along with both of your initials, except your surname was exchanged with an H.
"Ready for the dress," Susan asked from across the room. You were reluctant to let her come to the wedding, but Billy was insistent, she was the only 'mother' figure he had but you held a grudge against her for letting Neil beat his son. You took a deep breath and nodded. Max sat in your chair, picking up the ring box. "Can I look at this?" You nodded, "Just don't take it out of the box." She nodded, studying the ring in the box as Susan helped you with the dress and you looked in the three mirrors, one directly in front of you, and two to the sides of you.
She bent down and fixed the train of the dress as you looked at the dress, seeing the way it clung to you. The dress wasn't over the top, something nice and simple for the intimate ceremony. Max put the ring box down and your mom walked into the room, smiling as she saw you. Mac hugged her and your mom smiled and hugged her back, fixing a piece of her red hair.
"Where's dad?" She smiled, "With Billy." You nodded, "Is he okay?" Your mom nodded. "More than okay, he's ready to get out there." You laughed, twisting your ring. "Getting cold feet?" You shook your head, "What if I put his ring on the wrong finger or I accidentally say I don't, you know I stutter when I get nervous." Your mom rubbed your shoulder. "It'll be okay, I promise." You nodded, pressing a hand to your stomach to calm the butterflies.
"Are you pregnant?" Everyone's eyes moved to Max and Susan gently scolded her. "Maxine, that's not a question you ask." You softly laughed, "I'm just nervous." Max hummed, lips pursed, "So, no niece or nephew yet?" You shook your head, "Not for a while." She nodded, looking in one of the full body mirrors as she fixed her dress.
"He better know I love him if I'm wearing this." Everyone laughed at her and there was a knock on the large wooden door. Your father peaked his head in, "Bridesmaids and maid of honor, the men are ready." They all nodded and left, Max staying with you. You grabbed the white basket and filled it with petals. "Aren't they supposed to be fake?" You shrugged, "All of these came from flowers he's gotten me, that's why they're all different, he's never done repeat flowers." She nodded and you gently mixed them and handed her the basket.
"Hey Max." She hummed and looked at you, "You can keep some if you want." She nodded and picked out a few petals for herself, setting them on the vanity. Your dad peaked his head back inside, "Max, they're ready for you, honey." She nodded and quickly hugged you before leaving the room. You joined your dad and he hooked his elbow with yours.
"Ready?" You nodded, "Don't let me fall." He smiled, "Never." The large doors to the church, the only way Neil would attend, opened and everyone stood up. Your eyes snapped forward to Billy at the front, one of his childhood friends right behind him as his best man, patting his right shoulder. You walked with your dad, keeping at the same pace and the closer you got, you could see the tears on Billy's cheeks.
Your dad placed your hand in Billy's before taking his seat next to your mother. You stood before Billy, smiling at him. "Thought you weren't gonna cry?" He softly laughed, whispering back to you, "I have allergies, dust is in my eyes." You quietly laughed, holding his hand. The priest went through the opening of the wedding and Billy's friend jokingly yawned and he elbowed him, making you quietly laugh, the photographer catching the moment.
The priest looked at Billy before asking him a question. "William, do you take this woman to be your wife, to live together in holy matrimony, to love her, to honor her, to comfort her, and to keep her in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?" Billy looked down at you, a soft smile on his lips, "I do." His old basketball friends cheered in the crowd and he looked over and laughed before looking at you.
The priest looked at you, before asking you the same question and with no hesitation, you answered, "I do." He gently squeezed your hand. "Thank God," he whispered to you and you bit back your laugh. "What? Did you think I was gonna be a runaway bride," you whispered and he shrugged, "Maybe." You both laughed. The priest had you both repeat after him, everyone cheering after each of you recited the few sentences of the pre-made vows.
The priest looked up, "May we have the rings?" Billy's aunt, guided a boy, no older than four, with the pillow with the rings. People in the crowd cooed and she lifted him up and you took Billy's band and he took your band. The boy looked at you, waving his tiny fingers as his mother took him away and Billy softly laughed.
The priest looked at Billy, instructing him to place the band on your finger. He slid your engagement ring off, placing the silver band on you before replacing the engagement ring. "Now repeat after me." He said the phrase as Billy repeated it. "I give you this ring as a token and pledge of our constant faith and abiding love."
The priest looked at you once more, instructing you to place the ring on Billy. Your fingers shook gently and Billy softly talked to you, "It's okay baby, take your time." You slid the ring onto his finger, fixing it. You were instructed to repeat the same phrase as Billy. "I give you this ring as a token and pledge of our constant faith and abiding love."
The priest shut the Bible he was holding. "I would ask you two to join hands but you've been holding hands this entire time." The room was filled with laughter from everyone, including the priest. He looked out before declaring, "By virtue of the authority vested in me under the laws of the State of California, I now pronounce you husband and wife." He looked at Billy before saying, "You may kiss the bride."
Billy smiled, "Apologies to your parents and grandparents," he whispered to you before moving his hands away from yours, using them to dip your body, right hand resting at the back of your hip, his left hand on your cheek as he leaned down and kissed you, your left hand coming up to brace his cheek as you kissed him back. "Jeez," you heard Max exclaim at the back of the church and Billy laughed against your lips, pulling away an inch or two, his blue eyes teary.
"I love you." You smiled, gently stroking his cheek with your thumb, "I love you too, B." He smiled, "Can I kiss you again?" You nodded and he kissed you once more, this kiss was less intense, filled with the same amount of love as the first but it was also shorter. He pulled you back up. "Ready, Missus Hargrove?" You smiled, "Always, Mister Hargrove." He smiled, walking down the aisle with you as everyone stood up, clapping for the two of you.
The reception was hours long, your second bouquet ending up in Max's hands, your garter remaining on, choosing to not put your parents in an uncomfortable position. The first dance was everything you thought it would be. The father-daughter, son-mother dance involved you and your father and Billy and your mother. Tommy chanted for the cake cutting, making everyone laugh as you and Billy made it to the large cake. "Holy shit." You laughed at him. Your mother gave you the knife and Billy placed His hand over yours. "How big of a piece are we cutting?" Billy shrugged, "Big enough that I won't crash later." You nodded and you both cut a big enough slice to feed each other a bite for the pictures and memories.
Instead of using a fork, he cut the small piece with his finger, making you laugh. "Open wide," you snickered, "I've heard that one before." He laughed before taking a piece between his index and his thumb, placing the piece on your tongue. The chocolate practically melted on your tongue, your teeth gently scraping the pads of his fingers and he visibly shivered at the feeling. "Cold," you jokingly questioned and he laughed. "Quite warm, actually. I think I need to take my clothes off." You laughed, gently pinching his side, "Hush, we'll get to that part later." He laughed and you grabbed the other piece of cake. "Open." He opened his mouth and you fed him the piece, wiping the icing from the corner of his lip.
Soon, it was time for the speeches, deciding to save them for the end of the night. Friends and family, besides Neil, gave speeches. Billy grabbed the mic, looking in his blazer as he grabbed a piece of notebook paper that you recognized came out of his journal from the garage. Max snuck over to you, giving you your paper and you quickly thanked her and she went back to her seat. He unfolded the paper and looked out.
"I'm young, I just turned nineteen last month." Tommy cheered and Billy laughed, making you smile. "We met in October 1984, when I arrived in Hawkins and it took me until January 1985 to ask her to be my girlfriend. We actually didn't have a lot in common at first but the more we were around each other, I saw pieces of her in me, and she was the same. I remember the exact night I kissed her, it was after a party, it was a drunken kiss but one to remember nonetheless. I knew I wanted to marry her early on, I had the ring picked out four months into dating and I received it the first week of August. We have a lot of growing to do but at least it will be together from here until our last days together decades from now." He turned to you, putting his paper down, "Thank you for loving me like I deserved, showing me it was okay to be vulnerable, showing me how to love you gently, how to care for you when you needed it most, and most of all, thank you for sticking by my side even through the times it felt like we were in Hell."
You smiled, lower lip quivering and he leaned down and kissed you softly, sweetly and you held his hair gently. "I love you," you murmured against his lips. "I love you more," he murmured back before sitting down and you grabbed the mic. "I remember the first day I saw Billy, it was the first day of school for him. He made this big entrance, the car actually caught my eye first." Everyone laughed and you smiled. "We were polar opposites, I was taught to stay away from the stuff he did but I felt so drawn to him almost instantly and I wasn't sure why. In November 1984, we had our first kiss after one of Tommy's infamous parties." Tommy cheered, "You're welcome!" Everyone laughed again. "Before Billy, there was no one else. He was and always will be my first love, my first everything. I'll admit, we're extremely young but I knew the night he kissed me that I never wanted a day to go where I didn't get to kiss him and so far, it hasn't happened."
You turned to Billy, a soft smile on your face. "My love," you addressed him, "Thank you for loving me like no one else ever will, for being gentle with me when I need it, for giving me the chance to love you, thank you for letting me be there during the hard times, and more importantly thank you for being you because if you would've had that hard ass persona that you had when we met in high school, I don't think we would be here right now. You showed me your true personality, you didn't show me Billy, you showed me who William was and for that, I'll be eternally grateful." You finished your speech and everyone clapped and you looked at Billy, his nostrils flaring, trying to keep himself from crying but nonetheless, two tiny tears fell directly onto his black pants.
Soon, it was nearing midnight and you leaned on Billy. "My feet hurt." He nodded, excusing himself from talking to Tommy's dad, taking your hand and escorting you to the bridal suite at the reception venue. You took your heels off, looking in the mirror at the two of you and Billy did the same, smile on his face. "Wanna leave? I bet they won't even know we're not here." You laughed, "Can we do that?" he pursed his lips, "It's our wedding, of course we can." You nodded. "Okay." You went to put your heels back on and Billy stopped you, picking you up bridal style, taking your heels in his other hand, making sure he had the keys to his Camaro and he left out of a side door and you laughed as you held onto his neck.
He placed you into the car, putting your heels on the floorboard, stealing a quick kiss from you before getting into the driver's side and he drove out of the parking lot. "So, what do you say we get back to the apartment and consummate this marriage?" You laughed, holding his right hand. "I was just about to pitch that idea." He laughed, bringing your hand up and kissing the knuckle of your ring finger.
It wasn't long before he was pulling into the apartment and he parked beside your car, carrying you up the cement stairs carefully as you held onto him, still laughing at him. "See, all those hours at the gym weren't pointless." You hummed, "You work on cars everyday too." He laughed, "Exactly." He unlocked the front door, carrying you over the threshold, shutting the door with his foot, dropping the keys to the ground as he beelined to the bedroom.
He set you down, leaving the room to lock the front door before coming back, blazer off, his shirt partially unbuttoned. He held your hips, looking at you in the full body mirror that was propped near the window. "This dress is pretty, but I do think it would look pretty on the floor too." You laughed, "You can take it off but be gentle, I wanna be able to wear it again when we renew our vows in a decade." He nodded, kissing your neck once before gently unzipping the back of the dress.
The thick shoulder straps fell to your arms as he stripped the dress off of you, leaving a white puddle of fabric at your feet. His jaw dropped as he saw you in the white lingerie, garter on your thigh. "You are in for a very long night, hope you got all of the sleep you wanted last night," and with that, he kept his word, filling your night with love, compassion and a mix of many other things that would leave you incredibly sore the following morning.

you’re losing your mind. you’re losing your mind. you lost your necklace.
the one he gifted you, the one with his initial, the one that bought a matching one for and wears around his neck every day just like you did. you’re honestly baffled, you never take it off, the metal never grows cold because it’s constantly warmed by your skin. it’s become such a part of you that you no longer felt its weight around your neck.
you don’t even know how it could have gotten lost. you haven’t unclasped it since he slid it around your neck almost two years ago. did it fall off? you didn’t even notice until you woke up this morning that it was gone, and that made you feel worse. you pawed through your pillows and sheets and blankets looking for it, but to no avail. it’s gone, and you’re losing your mind.
you’re like a whirlwind as you move through your apartment, looking under every crevice and around every corner to find this necklace before he finds out that you lost it. really, you know he won’t be upset, but that doesn’t stop your heart from beating rapidly in your chest in nervousness.
you save the kitchen for last, knowing that’s where he was, pattering around and cooking breakfast for the both of you like he does every weekend. he turns towards you when you walk in, putting down his spatula, and turning towards you for a kiss. you comply, pecking him quickly and collapsing into a dining room chair, hiding your face in your hand in defeat.
“what’s wrong, kitten?” he says, squatting in front of you and taking your hand gently in his and rubbing the back of it with his thumb.
“i’m sorry, minho,” you say, crestfallen and refusing to meet his eyes. “i lost the necklace you gave me. after so long i lost it, its gone, i’m so sorry.”
“oh, love, it’s okay,” he says, leaning forward a bit so his cheek is pressed to your knee. “don’t be sad. it makes me sad when you’re sad.”
“but,” you start, sniffling hard. “you gave it to me.”
“i have something that may help,” he says suddenly, getting up from his kneeled position. “i was saving it for another time, but i think-” he cuts himself off, shaking his head. “you’ll see.”
he scampers out of the room, leaving you staring at your hands, trying not to cry. you didn’t know why you thought he would be mad, of course he’s not mad. you’re startled when he kneels in front of you once more, on one knee this time. your eyes are drawn to his hands, where he’s holding open a velvet box with a simple gold band inside, adorned with a glittering diamond. you gasp and meet his eyes, where they’re twinkling on his face with stars of adoration for you.
“i was going to do this on our anniversary, but this seems more fitting,” he says, chuckling a bit. you don’t think anyone else but you could tell, but he was nervous.
“min,” you choke out, tears starting to blur your vision that you’re quick to blink out in fear of missing every expression on his face.
“here we go,” he takes a deep breath. “(y/n), i love you, so much. you’re my entire life, the reason i wake up in the morning and the person i think of before i go to sleep at night. i can’t live without you, without your touch and your laugh and your beautiful thoughts. i never want to stop hearing your voice, i want to be there in your happiest moments and support you in your worst. i want to spend every minute of the rest of my life with you. so, will you marry me?”
a single tear runs down his face, and then your floodgates burst open.
you’re blubbering out yes’s and i love you’s as you throw your arms around his neck, squishing the ring box between you as you join him on the floor. your knees crack against the tiles, but you don’t care, overwhelmed in the best possible way. you lean back to press wet kisses all over his face, his cheeks, his nose, his lips, tasting his tears.
he giggles, smile wide and toothy as he slides the ring onto your finger before capturing your lips into a kiss again.
when you walk into work that next monday, showing off your new ring to everyone you see, you find the necklace on your desk, but you just smile and place it in your drawer. you don’t need it anymore - you have something better.

The married life - Alhaitham
This takes place in a universe where it’s in genshin, but Alhaitham’s a CEO instead of a scribe. Gender neutral reader, this will have many parts. angst, initially only the reader has feelings for Alhaitham (this is not reciprocated).
--
You were in a secret relationship with Alhaitham, a good friend of yours. Neither of you wanted things to be public, and for a good while this worked out fine. To the public eye, you two were merely friends. Nothing special, no spark, and you worked together solely as business partners.
Behind closed doors? You two were never really that intimate. You always loved him, you were ashamed to admit considering he didn’t seem to return this sentiment. The most you got from him was him allowing you to hug him, and even then it was rather rare. The moments you did hug him, however, more than made up for this. You didn’t know if it was your mind playing games, but it was like you could feel him returning your feelings. Of course, he never confirmed or denied this so you didn’t dare make another more.
Alhaitham never showed an interest in meeting other people. In fact, more often than not he always hated the mandatory meetings he had to go along to. The businessmen that only thought of instant profit as opposed to a better overall plan for their success in the future and the odd person trying to hit on him.
His roommate couldn’t help but laugh at his misery when he rambled about these problems of his. The man had a lot of people to choose from, why not just go out and find someone? Well, Kaveh knew Alhaitham wasn’t one for getting to know people better, and he also understood that given his prestige he wouldn’t be able to trust that the person wouldn’t be with him for purely monetary reasons.
However, Alhaitham was very close with you. Behind closed doors, that was. Alhaitham cuddled up with you, something Kaveh didn’t think was possible for him. Kaveh was surprised that someone like you was happy with ignoring your obvious feelings for your dear friend in public, and he didn’t understand exactly why Alhaitham was so awkward. He vividly remembers one conversation you had in Alhaithams house, Kaveh in his room eavesdropping and hearing you both talking.
“Alhaitham, can I tell you something?” You ask, Alhaitham nodding as he sits across from you. “I think you’re a very attractive man.” You begin, clearly building up the courage to confess you love him. Kaveh slowly opens the door, watching as he decides to see what was happening. You were looking down at your hands, trying to figure out the words you wished to say. His heart ached to see you so vulnerable, and he rooted for you to act on these feelings one day.
Unfortunately, that day was not the day.
“I know.” Alhaitham states matter-of-factly. He didn’t even bother looking up at you, turning the page in his book as he took a sip of his tea. You, on the other hand, widened your eyes in surprise that he cut off your confession to him.
“Oh, good.” You trail off, shocked at the reply. You weren’t fishing for a compliment or anything, but he didn’t even try to be humble about it.  You clear your throat, rubbing the back of your neck as you look away uncomfortably as Alhaitham continued reading his book.
“You could always wear a simple wedding band.” Kaveh states.
“I fail to see the argument for that.” Alhaitham responds, looking right at his annoying roommate. “I do not have a partner, and even if I did I would have to demonstrate who I was married to for that plan to work, no?”
“Well...I have got an idea.” Kaveh starts, Alhaitham rolling his eyes before listening to him. “You are awfully close to _, right? Surely you could give them a ring, one that has, say... diamonds and emeralds?”
“You must be joking.” Alhaitham spits out, Kaveh shaking his head no.
“Emeralds suit your vision, and diamonds compliment the emerald. Gold would be a good base for the ring. Oh, and I would recommend a statement emerald that cannot be ignored.” Kaveh goes all out. He doesn’t know if Alhaitham will agree with him, but he was doing this for the sake of seeing how far he would go for you.
“I would only like a simple wedding band for myself.” Alhaitham hums out in thought. “However...I could get an extravagant ring for _... as long as they are alright with wearing such a piece.”
“For you? I’m sure they’d wear anything.” Kaveh states.
“What do you mean by that?” Alhaitham asks, raising a brow.
“I’ll let you figure that one out. Regardless, the choice is yours.” Kaveh rounds off, standing up. “You could always put out a statement describing your discomfort with so many people being interested in you.”
--
You were worried to say the least when Alhaitham told you to come over, stating it was an emergency. You were fearful his business had gone bankrupt, perhaps someone screwed him over? All that was on your mind was comforting your friend and long time crush, so you got his favourite wine and some binge foods before heading over.
You knock on the door, Alhaitham opening it with a relaxed look.
“I came as soon as I got the letter.” You explain, placing the wine and food down on the nearest table before turning to face Alhaitham. You see him kneeling down, and you assume he’s tying his shoes. Rather odd, given he didn’t have any shoelaces on his footwear. “What can I help you with tonight?”
Alhaitham stands up, pulling out a small box as he faces you. He opens the box, revealing a beautiful ring. As Kaveh suggested, it was a statement ring that embodied what you saw in Alhaitham.
“I want you to act as my spouse.” Alhaitham begins, once again factually. “I won’t ask for any paperwork to be filled in. You will wear this ring, if you agree to do so, and I will wear this wedding band. This does not mean we can become public, neither of us are ready for this yet.”
This was what a proposal should not have been. No feelings involved, no love, and you still had to hold back from cuddling him. You hadn’t even kissed him once, and you felt like you were only going to cause harm for yourself if you agreed to this. It was clear that he was simply fed up with the constant pick up lines and people asking him out on a date. You were somewhat glad he thought you would be the best candidate for being his fake spouse, but your chest hurt with the yearning for this to be a real thing.
Kaveh had been watching around the corner, and he felt similar sentiments. You deserved someone who loves you, someone who didn’t treat you like a business transaction. He knew you were clinging onto the hope that this could possibly become a public relationship where Alhaitham would be happy to be known as your partner, but he didn’t get any indication from Alhaitham that any of this was real. You always initiated the cuddling, Alhaitham seemed strange every time he agreed to these cuddles.
“This ring, it’s beautiful.” You gasp, stopping yourself from adding in ‘just like you’. “Are you sure you’re okay with this? This must be pricey, surely?”
“Consider it part of the agreement.” Alhaitham brushes off.  You glance over at the wine, suddenly feeling like you needed to drink it in one go by yourself instead of giving the drink to Alhaitham. the word ‘agreement’ certainly told you that Alhaitham didn’t feel anything for you at this point, and you had known him for too long for this to magically change. One last look at the ring, and you tell yourself to pretend you’re happy with the situation.
“...Very well.” You nod, slowly seeing the ring now resting on your ring finger. “I accept.”

Heartslabyul's Surpise Birthday Party
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Notes: I initially wrote this for my mutual's brithday, then forgot about the fic and now I'm uploading this days after their birthday😭😭 Characters: Riddle Rosehearts, Trey Clover and Cater Diamond Prompt: It's your Birthday!
Tumblr media
Fresh red roses picked from Heartslabyul's garden were laid out on the brown wooden desk. The crimson-haired boy hums a tune as he wrapped the flowers into a silk white bouquet, while a small rotund plush makes its own little bouquet as a way to compete against its human self.
Decorations were held up in the lounge, small whispers crowded the room as the students talked to one another. The green-haired man placed the cake on the table, careful not to spill and ruin his precious hard work. It was a vanilla white cake decorated with velvet red roses. The base had a diamond pattern, with the Housewarden’s Coffin Crest in the middle. The second layer looked as if it had a golden cage placed on top, with a cookie shaped as the Heartslabyul Dorm Crest placed on the side. At the very top was a chocolate statue of Riddle’s tsum tsum, with a happy expression on its face.
“Do I look alright? Is my hair messed up?” The crimson haired man spoke in worry as he held the bouquet of Roses in his hands. On the other hand the cheeky ginger-haired spoke in a cheery tone “So magicammable! It’s giving The Charming Prince from the fairy tales.” He spoke as he placed the small, golden crown on the other’s head, then fixing his collar. “Matching lover rings? Check! Red rose bouquet? Check! Our housewarden’s adorbs face? Check!” Cater chuckled, placing his phone back into his pocket.
The rotund tsum however, glares in jealousy. Its bluish gray eyes staring down at him, before hopping away to its small gift box. “Oh what a cute entrance, once the dorm shouts “Surprise!”, the charming Housewarden kneels down with his bouquet in hands!” Cater giggles away, fixing the crimson-haired one’s black cape. Riddle placed his bouquet down on his desk, before looking at the velvet-red present box wrapped neatly with a golden ribbon. Thoughts raced around his mind, “What if (Name) doesn’t like it? What if they laugh at it? What if they-” His thoughts were cut off as the Vice Housewarden walked into the room. “Riddle-san, They’re coming to the dorm. Everyone’s prepared in their hiding spots.” Trey spoke, reminding the two of (Name)’s arrival and the surprise plan.
Riddle’s eyes widened as he stood up. As they approached the dormitory lounge, the lights were off as the students kept hidden in their positions. You were on your way to Heartslabyul’s Dorm building, the sounds of talking students and roses being painted over were gone, being deadly silent for such a busy dorm. Through the windows you noticed every single light was off, leaving only the dark, shadowy image of the once illuminated and vibrant hallways. There was a discreet bouncing noise right behind Heartslabyul’s Dark-green tinted glass doors, as if something was hurriedly looking for a place to hide.
“Hellooo? Is someone here???” You ask as you push open the doors, entering the Main Dormitory building. As expected, no response was heard except for another bouncing sound leading to the lounge. You scrambled to navigate your way into the dark, following the sound of something round hopping up and down. “Goodness, It’s so dark I thought I was back in Ramshackle..” You mumble underneath your breath as you touch the walls whilst you walk in the shadowy dark. Your eyes looked down to see dim light illuminated underneath the cracks of the door, before gripping the cold, golden-colored handle of a door. WIthout further ado you pushed it open.
“SURPRISE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PREFECT!”
The loud cheers of the Heartslabyul dorm’s students filled the room. You were shocked, yet overjoyed. The crimson-haired Housewarden kneeled down to you, before whipping out a fancy bouquet of fresh red roses wrapped neatly with silky white wrapping paper and tied together with a red and gold-colored bow. It was going well until he felt something round jump on his head. The tsum squealed, holding out its own bouquet of roses while Riddle’s head was kept low. You looked dumbfounded at first, before giggling at the tsum trying to impress you.
The green-haired man only sighed, before helping Riddle up and guide you to the table where your cake was on. The room bustled with joy as the students talked to one another, It was a blast at Heartslabyul.
