Diamondchaney christmas, don't mind if i do lads

She parks her car in between the Methodist church and the primary school that they both attended. She watches the children that stick their middle fingers up as they pass it, strings of obscenities following.

“Weans.” Lawrence throws open the door to her car and gets in, a plastic bag on their lap. “A think Miss Trunchball was right all along.”

“I don’t think we were ever that small.” Ellie muses, her acrylics tapping on the steering wheel.

Lawrence barks a laugh, bag rustling as they open it to survey their harvest. “I couldny remember if you prefer the strawberry or the apple laces so I got both.”

“Anything festive in there?” She pokes her head between Lawrence and the bag only to be pushed away. “Hey!”

“Of course I’ve got festive snacks, despite yer apparent trust issues. Mince pies and chocolate orange, and here I even got us an advent calendar each.”

Ellie grins at Lawrence’s eyes lighting up with excitement. “Headcase.” She switches the radio on, confronted by Michael Bublé’s voice streaming out and hitting her ears at a volume previously unknown to man. Lawrence cackles as she hurriedly turns it down.

“Love a bit of boobs.” And they laugh again at their own double entendre. The sound, dulled only slightly by the Christmas music blaring from the speakers, opens back the ache in her heart. Once upon a time she would’ve been able to pick out Lawrence’s laugh in a crowd of thousands.

Using playing cards for divination/readings:

just a quick guide to using playing cards instead of a traditional tarot deck :)

NOTE:

before going into this - it’s important to realize that this is how i personally do it, but it’s also a very normal basic way to do it. if you feel like (for example) cups should be diamonds and pentacles should be hearts - then do it that way!!! this is just a guide for if you want to get into it and need a starting guide.

PROS AND CONS?:

pros are that if you feel weird doing this in public, playing cards can alleviate some of that awkwardness you feel doing tarot in public.

pro is that its easy to do and easily accessible and to carry around. easy to grab and go!

pro is you can’t do reversals if that’s something you struggle with.

cons- there is absolutely NO imagery to go off of.

cons - there is NO major arcana (a huge part of tarot!)

cons - the court cards only have jacks, queens, and kings — no knights like tarot!!!

cons - can’t do reversals

if you still want to use them then keep reading!!!

I have a new dream movie. Lon Chaney Jr. & Bob Steele as private detectives that don't know what they're doing. Steele sees himself as the brains of their operation (because obvi they're partners), while Chaney is the brawns but Chaney doesn't see it that way. To him, he is the brains and Steele is the muscle. Steele after all have boxed. He could never hurt anyone, see. He doesn't even kill insects. (In fact they're both scared of bugs). They're both also extremely horny and always fight over the client if they think she's cute (TB to Steele's slutty trailblazer days). Anyways, in this mystery, they're supposed to find a woman's missing diamonds and what ensues is the usual: trouble with the mob, mistaken identity, etc, etc.
