Death was something Connor was all too familiar with unfortunately. His own though? Well, that wasn't exactly something he could really know about. Now he did though. It didn't bother him as much as he thought it would've which was all too strange. Then it also wasn't at the same time. Maybe it was because he felt like he deserved death a lot of times in his life. What he had done to his mother? Well, it felt like he didn't deserve much good. Every once in a while, he would taste that metallic flavor in his mouth and feel nauseous. He hated what he had done just as much as he hated the fact that he had gotten a second chance and she just...hadn't. He had to stop thinking about that though. What he really needed to focus on was the fact that he really needed to go out and get materials to fix Inan's fence. Pulling his shirt from his back pocket, he moved to put it on just as he saw the elf in his line of sight. "I fixed the pipe under the sink. Not what I meant by laying pipe, but fixed regardless."

Nirvaan was at a loss for how he felt about everything that had transpired, but he knew he had to somehow take his mind off of it. Or maybe he just wanted to pretend he wasn’t about to walk into danger like he was. It felt like Dareth had prepared him for this kind of thing, but he didn’t think he would ever truly be prepared. The warder had already visited his mother, but there was only one other person he really wanted to see. He had remembered the exact times Assan would be available and made sure he stopped by at one of those times. It was currently 6pm so that meant the other should’ve been awake now. He was happy to see the tiefling when he opened the door and Nirvaan immediately pulled him into a hug. “Hey. Hi,” he said as he pulled away slightly.

There were so many things to do and such little time to do them. Hayliel wondered what exactly he could do that wouldn’t bore him to death. He liked shopping. That was fun. He had just bought a bunch of stuff just now and gotten so distracted that he had forgotten why he went outside in the first place. There were plenty of bags in his hands as he walked into the villa. “Ah, fuck.” He shook his head at himself and then caught sight of Yavie. Dropping the bags on the floor, he placed his hands on the floor and walked over to the fey upside down. “I bought you some stuff. Do hellhounds wear regular dog clothes?” He moved to balance on one hand before switching to the other and repeating the process. Maybe that would be a good distraction from thinking about his own problems.

Harellan wouldn't have said he was avoiding Viktor. On the contrary, he really would've preferred to see the nephilim more than he cared to admit. That wasn't an option though. Ayi'ig was...he didn't like to think about it because it made him feel like some sort of weak individual like those halfbloods. Well, all of them except for Viktor at least. That wasn't even the point though. The point was that he wasn't sure what he was supposed to do now. Was he supposed to just pretend everything was fine? That was what he was good at when it came to everything else so he was fine with doing it here. Nobody would truly know how he felt about the loss of the drow queen. That would be information he kept to himself. And that information was that he was devastated. He hadn't cried. He'd done enough of that with his father. He'd razed an entire village just to watch them suffer. At some point, he had to question if it had been for vengeance or not. Again, that wasn't the point. What had he done to cope? Well, he'd gotten a cat.
The cat was sat on his lap, sat on the floor in front of the other's door, as he waited for the nephilim to show up. He would eventually. There would be some rightful anger, but who could deny a cute cat? He'd have said the other didn't have a choice in the matter, but he didn't feel like playing around in Viktor's head unless the nephilim wanted him to. A hand dropped to the black cat's head just as he heard footsteps coming towards him. When he looked up, he was only slightly happy about the sight before him. "Hey, angel."

Prospero's desire for revenge spanned thousands and thousands of years. There had been a time, after the death of his brother, where he thought he would've been able to move on from that. As he buried his mother, he had thought it would be best to let the past stay in the past. There was always that one little voice in the back of his head that told him to burn down everything and everyone that went against what he believed. Families turned on each other so much that he couldn't even really comprehend it. That wasn't his only vendetta though. No, his only real problem came with the gods that sat on their thrones and thought themselves to of enough importance that they would take the body of someone like him without so much as batting an eye. That was what they had done and Prospero was sure that they would attempt it again if they wanted to. Prometheus had been fine though, he guessed. The guessing part came with the tiefling not knowing if the avariel was even remotely emotionally or mentally still there. He sure as hell wasn't, but he wasn't about to tell anyone that. "You must have some lucky charm, Pros. Still here alive and kicking and you're not even as pretty as me."

In all honesty, Vinny probably should've been more focused on other things. He had no duties to worry about which was...definitely a choice for this Senate. Although he was very newly improved by Renfield, he was still the same person. Rules and all that were things he didn't particularly like to follow on a normal basis so it was shocking to him that they would even trust him with enforcing said rules. Plus, he was more concerned about August than anything else. As much as he would have loved to help his dear friend, maybe it was for the best that he hadn't. Fuck, it was for the best that he was even here right now in the first place. He'd been just stuck under rubble for fifteen years and that had been a fate worse than death. The skirmisher had been waiting and waiting and hoping that someone would come to grab him from his tomb, but nobody had ever come. No, time had just been reverted back to that first day. He would be lying if he said it hadn't stayed in his mind though. Fifteen years of barely being alive had been torture that he saw every single time he closed his eyes.
The only saving grace he had was Nyloth. Well, he wasn't sure he would consider her a saving grace, but she had pulled him here for a reason. In the midst of his thoughts, he was summoned to her chambers without even realizing it. He turned his head this way and that to observe his surroundings for a moment before his gaze landed on her. "It's best we don't talk," he stated as he walked across the room to crush his lips to hers. She definitely hadn't been the type to be gentle before so he wasn't going to pretend to be now. Who said romance was dead?

Home was no longer in Elysia for her. Perhaps Psyche should have been used to the unfamiliarity that came with all of these places she had been forced to be. She had been everywhere and nowhere because it had been set out for her. Eros had promised her godhood, had promised to love her unconditionally. Yet she had never been happy with her lot. Those were words she could never dare to speak aloud. How could she? She'd been a noble elf before. She'd ascended to a goddess without so much as lifting a finger. She was deemed the most beautiful. Why would she ever have to complain about any of it? Nobody would ever be able to truly understand how lonely and unhappy someone like her could be. She could fake her happiness though. She could pretend to be happy with what she had been given. She could always pretend. Except for when it came to him.
A glass of something within her hand, her wings were sprouted from her back. Unnatural beauty was what those wings gave her. Yet the drink still lifted to her lips as she danced around the room. Another drink fell like ambrosia down her throat as she opened her eyes and looked upon the ceiling. It was a beautiful castle. She took a breath as she closed her eyes again. Three daimona surrounded her. She had given them names she couldn't quite remember right now as she thought of Eros. He was a good man. He had wanted her desperately because of that arrow that had struck him. He had wanted her just like everyone else had. How disappointing. She could have everything she wanted and she only wanted...
Her eyes opened and she looked across the room. Psyche did not need to see him to know that he was there. She would know him like she knew her own breathing. There was a brief pause as her heart beat faster in her chest, her head spinning as if...well, maybe that was the alcohol she had been drinking. Or maybe it was just him. He'd seen through her facade every single time and, every single time, she wished to know him more. He'd been a seraphim then. How far he had fallen since. An archfiend was what he had become, but she still saw him the same as she always had. Perhaps that was why she had unintentionally gravitated towards him, the daimona left behind. As she got to him, she opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out.

It was basic friendship practice to drop by your best friend's house unannounced, right? Akara felt like the other knew where he was most of the time so it just felt right. Plus, he was sure that Atlas wouldn't mind his presence. They could play video games and then Atlas could tell him anything and everything about all that had happened while he was...up in the sky again. Well, he hadn't really been up in the sky. Technically, he'd just been in an entirely different realm with a bunch of people he didn't really know. It was kind of cool and kind of weird at the same time. All he knew was that he really had missed all of his friends. He would go say hello to all of them eventually, but Atlas was always up first. "Okay, I made you a drink. Tell me if you like it. I think you will." He couldn't remember what he had put in it, but it tasted alright to him. So much so that he was already on the second glass.

It wasn't like Alvaro could ignore her forever. Well, he hadn't really been ignoring her. It was more of an avoidance. Maybe it wasn't even that. He just hadn't really gone out of his way to see her. There had been a lot on his mind and there was a lot he didn't really want to think about that came with it. Kaan was...well, that was one thing he didn't want to remember. However, it meant that Raffaele was safe now and that was all he could really hope for at the end of the day. Maybe Jianyu was fine, too, but the vampire had left. Alvaro felt like he should have looked out for Raffaele with the absence of both of his father figures, but Efigenia had somewhat taken up the role. Reluctantly or not, he still wasn't sure. Nevertheless, he still had a business to run. Even after everything that had happened, he felt like it was the best thing to do to take his mind off of everything. And that meant he would have to run into Andruil.
Again, it wasn't like he didn't want to run into her. He just didn't think he should've been running into her. Of course, he remembered the fact that she had sought him out during all of the chaos to apologize to him, but he had just been so preoccupied that the conversation had ended just as quickly as it had begun. And now here they were. They ran a business together, but he hadn't been there for a while because he had just felt like there was a part of him that was responsible for what had happened to his old friend. But that also meant that anything could happen to the people he cared about and there wasn't anyone he cared about as much as he cared about as much as he did Andruil. So he bit the bullet and headed to Grazie's because there was really no reason for him to have avoided her this long. When he saw her, he let out a sigh.
"Andruil. Sorry I've been...away."

"Well, look what the cat dragged in. Here to visit little old me? I know you didn't come to pick up a bouquet." Or maybe Tripp was actually here to pick up some damn flowers. Emir would have preferred anything else, but he would be annoying the lycan either way. It was his favorite thing to do that wasn't floral or artistic in nature. Actually, his list of hobbies kind of had an order. There was floral arrangements first. Then came art. Bother Tripp came in third, but it really depended on the day because it could easily be bumped up to a one. Anyway, after that came everything else so he at least had something entertaining to do right now while at work. Not that he didn't find this whole floral thing fun, but maybe he'd get railed over the counter. Who knew?

After having not spoken to someone in...he wasn't even really sure how long it had been honestly. However, it had been a long enough time to the point where he had gotten used to it. Not talking. Left to his own devices which were merely his own thoughts. His mind was not one he wished to stay within on a normal basis. It was cruel and littered with anger he couldn't quite get rid of. When he had been stuck within the Void, all of those thoughts had been amplified with everything that had happened up until that moment.
Remus knew himself. He knew he wasn't good and he never pretended to be. That wasn't who he would let himself be. However, the only good that could come from him were the people that he cared about. There were only a few of them, but they mattered just the same. The two most important though? It had felt like a loss he couldn't bare the thought of when it had happened and it was all he could think about while floating in that endless pit of nothing. There was no Renfield. There was no Marius. It was just him. Alone.
He should've been used to it. The loneliness. Remus had felt it when Romulus had struck him down. He had felt it when Marius had been taken from him the first time. He had felt it when he wandered the Otherworld. Loneliness. And now all he could see behind closed eyes was that mass that had torn down that Eye facility followed by Sathanas digging his fingers in and dragging Marius away from him. Again. He had lost them and he had lashed out and he had ended up alone again. Remus was always alone though. He should've been used to it.
The arm around his midsection told him that wasn't the case though. The fact that Renfield was in the next room over told him that they were all still here. But that arm that was draped over him still felt like it was keeping him together, holding onto broken pieces that would shatter on the ground if the abomination let go. His arm reached backwards to rest on Marius' hip, eyes still closed. Hellfire corrupted his mind enough to where his eyes snapped open. He didn't bother to turn around yet.
"Do you think he'll be okay?" At this point, Remus wasn't sure if he was asking the question about Renfield or himself.

To be honest, all Connor wanted to do was go hang out with Inan or something, but here he was at work. He still needed money to actually get out of here when he wanted to. Staying in one place for too long wasn't exactly his thing and really the only reason he was here in the first place was because Lycaon had called lycans to Rome. What was his purpose of being here now when the war was over? He certainly wasn't going to just stay for a friend. Friends were temporary. But Inan had been pretty nice to him and he was pretty fucking adorable. He was cute, too. There was really a lot to like about the elf and- wait, that was not the point of this. He heard the door open just as he moved to sit on the counter. "Welcome to Waffle House. As you can see, we're very empty because lycans don't feel like watching a brawl today. I guess." He didn't really look at the person he was speaking to until he finished his sentence. Oh, another cousin. Dante, he remembered, but he'd pretend not to for now. "Need a table?"

It wasn’t like Nirvaan really even had the opportunity to invite Assan to the forest to spend time together. Now he definitely couldn’t do it. And he felt like it would be taking advantage if he ran up to Dareth and gave him the puppy dog eyes and asked for that favor. They could hang out at Assan’s place though. The only problem the warder was running into right now was that it was five o’clock on a Wednesday and he wasn’t sure if that was within the nap time hours. He looked down at his phone to see he hadn’t gotten a response yet. No tuna. No salmon. No bonito flakes. Nothing. And here he was at the door looking like an idiot. He probably should’ve knocked. Right. That would make sense to do so he lifted his fist to rap at the door. Maybe he should’ve just left the tiefling to his nap, but at least he had made sure to bring food. To be honest, he was surprised that Assan hadn’t sniffed it out already.

The realization had come to him far too long after their initial meeting as to why he had recognized this Atlas. Or maybe he had simply not wanted to acknowledge that he knew exactly who he had run into. A lot of people that were on OnlyFans were there to make money or to make a name for themselves to a degree. He wondered what this druid’s reasoning was. It didn’t much matter, but now he was more curious than anything. Maybe they would end up talking about it at some point throughout this whole bidding war they seemed to be in. It was obvious that the other wasn’t going to back down and it would’ve been pretty disappointing if that had been the case. The problem Eoin ended up having was that he wasn’t closing this deal fast enough. There were people, family members, breathing down his neck to make sure that he got this property. And quickly. With Atlas around, it was more difficult than he would have liked it to be. Eoin didn’t like when things were difficult for him to handle. He also didn’t like for something to be easy either. So here he sat across from the little druid, coffee in hand. “Why do you want this place so badly?”

Jealousy was a very familiar emotion for Somniar. It was one he tried not to acknowledge, but it had become much more obvious lately. Whenever he saw someone even glance or stand next to Felandaris, he was ready to stick a blade in their neck and watch as said person bled out. Like right this very second, he wanted to kill this person the other drow had decided to so much as kiss in front of him. It was very clear to the inquisitor that this was to very blatantly make him lose his mind. He knew the kind of person the royal drow was and, since he knew the motive, he was sure it would have been easy for the anger to not creep up on him like it was. Instead, he was more pissed off than he could ever be. He flipped the blade in his hand between his fingers as he burned a hole into the other drow’s head. There were more pressing matters to attend to, but he was hyper-focused on this. He was slouched within his chair, the hand not holding the blade moving from his chin to run through his hair. The knife was aggressively placed into the arm of the chair as he cleared his throat. His mouth opened to say anything, but it seemed nothing would come out. All he could find himself doing was watching and imagining every single thing he would do to let out that anger he felt right now. He leaned forward, elbows resting on his knees as he waited for Felandaris to even look in his direction.

It really had felt like quite some time since he had seen Nettelia. Fifteen years to be exact. Prospero had not wanted to be inhabited by a god, but he guessed he was one of the unlucky ones. Then again, he was sure some of those demigods wouldn't have looked at it the same way he did. There was always someone willing to give up everything they held dear for some semblance of power. Even if it was some vengeful god that craved that same power and gave nothing in return. The tiefling had never been good at holding his tongue when it came to that sort of thing, but he also hadn't been of his right mind for a long time now. Dark magic was always flowing through his veins and he used it more often than he should have. Playing with fire only ended up being useful if he was a pyromaniac. And he was certainly not that. Well, yet at least. All he needed was some time for someone to piss him off and he would see what his temperament looked like then.
Regardless, he was glad to see the Archdruid in one piece. Before Prometheus, he had befriended Nettelia. He wasn't sure how he came to end up more gaining more of a friendship with the avariel, but he didn't really question it. Prospero would still have her back and be there for her regardless. There was a buzzing in his head that he chose to ignore for the time being because it was something he heard all the time. His mind playing tricks on him again. "The necronomicon has not been kind to you, my friend."
