The sun shone bright onto the Grove as the pair walked amidst the blooming trees. The full bloom had settled the orchard and petals were beginning to fall, littering the ground where they stepped and carried away by the breeze. 

 “This land will be my legacy. If in a hundred years all these trees and the people living here are prosperous, it’s because I did everything in my power to make it so. Just as my family have since we were granted this land. No one will write of it, no one will remember me, but it will be true all the same. They’ll feel my impact even if they don’t know of me, and that gives me peace to think of when I worry. Though I know my thoughts may not be so comforting to a man in your position, your grace.”

I honestly would love to see more people appreciating Mario angst haha. There is just something so interesting about it to me. Mario is the hero, the protector. He's the strong one, the one that people can always lean on. I believe breaking Mario takes a lot and that's why I find Mario angst so fascinating and compelling.

I don't have an OTP in the mario universe anyway, because I'm not really that much into shipping anymore, but I do enjoy Bowsario, Genario and Luigi/Peasley (Luisley?) . (I guess those are the ships that I actually enjoy most from the mario universe dfasdf)

This art of Mario being comforted by his mom. I think it came out quite well especially since it was my first time drawing the mom without really any good references. :)
