Are you doing okay? Getting enough sleep? Eating enough? You know I hate not being there to take care of my best girl, but I hope that you’re getting along alright without me there. I can’t tell you how much I miss you, sweetheart. All I can think about is how I’m not waking up late on Sunday mornings to hear you singing in the kitchen, a little off key but so sweet. I wanna see you standing there, cooking bacon and eggs, and I just wanna wrap my arms around you again, squeeze you softly.

You feel like home, y’know. It’s been so long since I’ve had one that I thought I forgot how it feels but I’m starting to realize that it feels like your hand in mine. And it smells like your hair when I tuck your head underneath my chin and hold you. And, sweetheart, it tastes like your lips and I can’t stop thinking about how fast I wanna run to you right now and kiss you until your mouth is sore and red and swollen.

I’ve been thinking that maybe it’s time for me to stop taking so many missions like these. Maybe set up the guest room next to our bedroom into something else. Settle down finally.
