RESULTS: What’s in the Cards for February 2022?

I want to thank those of you who participated in the pick a card reading from a couple weeks ago. Since the most selected piles were 2, 3, and 4, I have decided to post those pictures within the next few slides along with the messages from those piles below:

Pile #2 – Let your inner strength and balance create outer stability. Don’t let anyone else dim your light. You are the sun. With the card ‘sync with the moon’ use this Full Moon in Leo energy to your advantage by releasing limiting beliefs that may no longer serve you. 🌕♌️🦁

Hey! Happy #FreakyFriday!

-Have you ever had a thought about someone and then next thing you know they text or call you? What you were experiencing was not a ‘strange coincidence’, the phenomenon is called telepathy.

-What is telepathy? Well, I’m glad you asked! Telepathy is the instantaneous communication between two beings through the transmission of thoughts via mind-linking or mind-talking. Telepathy is a natural human ability and often works best when both parties are relaxed or in a meditative-like state. Sometimes when you and another person say the same thing at the same time that can be an instance of telepathy too!

Happy #MoondayMonday!🥳🌕

-As we approach the Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse on Friday in the sign of Taurus♉️ aka the ‘Beaver Moon’🦫🌖🌕, take a moment to reflect on what you’ve learned from this past month’s moon cycle. What do you desire to take with you into this upcoming moon cycle and what are you releasing?

• Personally, for me, the transition of astrological signs through the moon phases has felt like how the sun rises and sets throughout the day. During the start of the month I don’t know what to expect but I go with the flow to see where it takes me. As the month progresses, I get to that sweet spot where I feel like my heart is illuminated similar to the golden hour the sun creates in the sky❤️‍🔥🌇. Towards the end of the month I reflect on things I’ve learned much like a sunset and release what no longer serves me to the Universe much like the sparkling stars I see in the sky at night.

Happy New Moon and 2/11 portal 🌑✨

Let's look to the moon and the stars, shall we?

• During a New Moon, the sun and the moon are on Earth's same side, which causes the moon to be invisible; because the side of the moon we are seeing is not being highlighted by the sun. New moons are often called "Seed Moons" because they are times of growth, renewal, and new beginnings.

Here are the following ways that the moon can affect our mind, body, and emotions:

• Body: We often tend to sleep less or have more energy later in the evenings. Our appetite may increase, and we may experience bursts of energy.

• Mind: We may experience sudden insights, develop new ideas, start creative projects, or learn interesting facts that may inspire us.

• Emotions: During new moons, we may feel a bit more reserved or choose to keep our dreams close to our hearts instead of sharing them with the world.

As an Empath, I tend to protect my peace & my energy by staying away from negativity, energy vampires and by focusing on myself.

• This new moon has brought about a time of calmness and balance while also bringing the energy of peace and acceptance that anything you put your mind to can be accomplished.

Sometimes I will write out positive self-love affirmations or my intentions for the month and see what I have accomplished by the end of the month.

• The New Moon in Aquarius is asking us to dive into our passions and what makes us unique and to alleviate the idea of control by letting go and trusting the process. Your relationship with your emotions might be more complicated or intense because Aquarius has a strong need for emotional freedom. However, being around a group of like-minded people, even virtually, may be more comfortable for expressing or comprehending your feelings and freeing yourself from negative emotions.

The Justice Card

Hey Tarot Lovers!

*Since there is a Full Moon in Libra coming up tomorrow (Saturday, April 16th), I felt this was the perfect time to discuss the Justice card. The eleventh card of the major arcana, which is the Justice card just so happens to be ruled by Libra 🌕♎️! How serendipitous!

Today was the first day of the Cosmic Priestess School that I am participating in with four other Goddesses. My friend Madisyn of Butterfly Medicine created this beautiful course over the past 5 years to teach astrology in her own unique way and I am so honored to be a part of it! I figured that today would be the perfect time to explain what tarot is and a bit of the history behind it.

- Tarot is defined as any set of cards used in tarot games and in fortune telling. A standard deck of tarot cards has 78 cards and consists of two groups. The typical deck that tarot readers will start with is the Rider-Waite Smith deck. There is a story behind the traditional deck though that often goes untold. What happened was that in 1909, William Rider and Arthur Waite did not want to give credit to the illustrator of their deck named Pamela Smith, especially with her being a biracial, queer woman. It wasn’t until 1911, which was two years later that Rider and Waite re-released a copy of the Rider-Waite Smith deck to include Pamela. That just goes to show how prevalent discrimination was during that time. Way to go Pamela Smith for being an intersectional feminist!

- With that being said, let me discuss what the two groups that make up a tarot deck include:

• The Major Arcana, which has 22 cards, follows the Fool’s story in what is said to be “The Fool’s Journey”. The journey that the Fool takes symbolizes the steps we as humans take throughout our lives on the path to growth, evolution, and spiritual enlightenment.

• The Minor Arcana, the second group of tarot cards, comprises 56 cards and is divided into four suits of 14 cards. These suits consist of Wands (Clubs), Cups (Hearts), Swords (Spades), and Pentacles (Diamonds). Each set also has 4 court cards and 10 numbered cards. The numbered cards go from Ace – 10 for each suit in which numerology (the meaning of numbers) plays a part in their significance.

- In today’s tarot lesson, we are learning about the sixth card of the major arcana which is The Lovers card. The Lovers card correlates with the duality of the astrology sign Gemini ♊️.

- In my opinion, The Lovers card does not always symbolize romantic love, although it can! To me, this card explains the mentality of self-love and diving into the duality of self to heal the shadow aspects of yourself that may be mirrored in the connections we have with others. We are being reminded of both the feminine and masculine aspects of our souls. What are you doing to awaken the masculine and feminine energies of your soul? How are you nurturing your shadow self or the side of you that you’re embarrassed to show others? There’s no shame in learning how to properly love yourself.

- For the folks in romantic relationships or connections, in what ways are you vulnerable with your partner? What do you feel needs improvement in your relationship with yourself and with your partner? How do you express your love language(s) with one another?

• For today’s Tarot lesson, I’ll be teaching you about the ninth card in the major arcana which is the Hermit card. The Hermit card corresponds with the astrology sign Virgo ♍️.

• The Hermit card is misunderstood as the card of self-isolation when in actuality, it means to tap into what our souls are urging us to do. If we look into the deepest depths of ourselves, what will we find there? Are you allowing yourself to receive the messages that Spirit has been delivering to you? What is the worst thing that could happen when we sit with ourselves in solitude? We as a collective have got to decide whether or not it’s worth it to face our fears by taking a risk to achieve our true destined paths to eternal bliss.

• For me, I’ve had to remind myself to have patience in my career and life goals and that it takes hard work and dedication to get me where I need to be. I’m not afraid to co-create my vision for my life with Spirit since I believe that’s how my dreams come true.

Are you ready for your next lesson in tarot? Trust me, tarot isn’t as intimidating as it may seem. 😉

• The next card I am going to discuss is the Magician card, which is the second card of the major arcana. Typically, the Magician card symbolizes the initial spark of creation, passion, inspiration, or manifestation; but in this image, I view it a little bit differently.

• In my opinion, this illustration of the Magician shows a young Black woman (like myself) taking action in what she wants to do in her life and running with her passions, life purpose, her dreams, and her goals.

• In both this deck and in the traditional Rider-Waite Smith deck, an infinity symbol is displayed above the crown chakra. The crown chakra, which is represented by the color purple, is the highest connection with the divine (of your own personal understanding) that one may have in the 3D realm.

• Since there is an infinity symbol, I feel that the connection between the divine and spiritual beings is everlasting; as above, so below!

Hey there and happy Wednesday👋🏼 or how it’s known in astrology as Mercury day! Wednesday is known as Mercury day because it is ruled by the planet Mercury (much like the signs Gemini and Virgo).

• Today’s lesson focuses on The Empress and the creative, nurturing, and peaceful energy that exudes from her presence. The Empress asks that we reconnect with things that bring us a level of comfort, support, and inner love at this time. When I think of The Empress card, I’m always reminded of my hobbies and different things that make me happy, for example, hugging loved ones, eating one of my favorite meals, or having some warm apple cider on a cool day.

• Personally, I resonate with both this card’s meaning and imagery because I love tapping into my divine femininity and I have spiritual ties to Egypt. I remember that during one of my past lives I did some social justice work in Egypt, I’m not sure what exactly it was regarding but I’m grateful for the experiences I’ve had.
