I'll literally never forgive the destiny fandom for sleeping on Eris/Mara when there's a whole running storyline about them traveling together to the outer reaches of the system to barehandedly destroy a pyramid, in the process of which Mara straight up dies, forcing Eris to go into Elusinia and punch Dul Incaru in her >:3c face to Hive Resurrection Ritual Mara back into physicality, and then when they get out, Eris gets sliced and diced by falling debris, at which point Mara has to perform impromptu field surgery on her thigh to stop the bleeding, and Eris, expecting to die, reconciles with Mara over the whole "having embedded in herself a piece of Oryx's power and in utilizing it becoming like him" thing, which I haven't mentioned until now because it's not even one of the top five most insane things to happen in this sequence of lore pieces.

The show should really address at some point how Jaskier is the only one who choose to be with Geralt, everyone else has been linked to him through destiny but not Jaskier and how this can be both terrifying for Geralt because Jaskier can leave anytime he wishes to, but also how reconforting it can be, because he is choosing to stay.

possible name for lad is Pan or Paktolos (just bc .. reference to midas legend even if this midas got nothing to do with it; oh yeah, a bonus midas sketch .. he needs a proper redesign too)

tentacle lad may look mean here (i genuinely dont know why i drew him like that) but hes a big sappy softie, even carries a picture of midas in a locket around- next to the demon teeth hes collected he doesnt leave the island much anymore and mostly manages everything on it, his people call him by royal titles sometimes bc hes been a very competent leadership figure but he doesnt put value in any titles-

he rescued midas from the demon hunters that kidnapped him years ago to bring one of the biggest and most influencial empires to collapse after his older sister, who was the empress, was unexpectedly dying- midas being the next in line the empire doesnt really exist anymore at this point, midas now leading missions around the island instead, or going around keeping up to date with politics and tensions since his husband (tentacle lad) and his people are of a kind that is largely being kept a secret and would be a target for demon hunters as well, despite them not being demons (they look monstrous but are more based on animals, are native to earth, cannot change form, age only somewhat slower than humans and have no control over any elemental magic more than a very skilled human can have- which is basically not even noticable and usually gets passed off as 'talent' in the way a skilled sailor can feel the approaching weather in the wind)

bradley's been looking forward to this dinner reservation forever. it took four months to get his name on the list and it was only because he knew a guy who knew a guy. so when natasha calls him 30 minutes before their reservation to say she can't come (impeccable timing, really), bradley's not only disappointed, he's pissed.

"nat there's a $200 hold on my credit card that they're going to charge if i cancel this late!"

"i'm sorry bro. there's no way i can get there in time. anyone else you can take? or put on your big boy pants and eat dinner by yourself."

"they'll still charge me $100 for one person cancelling, nat. you better venmo me for this." he hangs up on her.

and that's how bradley finds himself loitering outside the restaurant, scoping out unsuspecting passerbys, looking for his mark.

he asks a total of four people (#1 "dude, no?", #2 completely ignored, #3 "sorry, not interested", #4 "ew, creep") before he starts to get hopeless. the reservation has already started and he only has a 10 minute window before he's out $200. just as he's about to call it a loss and head inside to the restaurant, he locks eyes with him. well, here's goes nothing.

"excuse me! i'm so sorry to bother you, but i have quite an insane ask."

"oh yeah? shoot." his eyes are sparkling. don't ruin this, bradshaw.

"well, i made reservations with a friend to this restaurant here." he points behind him. "but she just cancelled on me. they're going to charge me $100 if i go in alone, or $200 in about... seven minutes if i don't go in at all."

"ahh... sounds like quite the predicament." bradley can feel his eyes on him.

"soo.. what do you say? fifteen, twenty minutes tops of your time and a drink on me?"

"you got yourself a date. i'm jake." he quirks a smile and extends his hand.

"bradley." he has a good feeling about this.

one drink turns into three, the food tastes like paper for all he knows. he's too busy concentrating on the new language that is jake seresin.

It just hit me that in KH1 when Sora, Riku and Kairi are building the raft... Riku probably mostly solo built that thing. 'Cause like, he's complaining about Sora just sleeping on the beach and not working and Kairi seems to be barking orders for rations and fiddling with seashells while the boys do the heavy lifting. Riku's just over there building the raft like 'want to see other worlds' meanwhile Sora's like 'I sleep'

one thing that keeps me up at night is how, as people have pointed out before, arthur loved merlin simply for being merlin, regardless of magic or destiny etc., but how in some ways, that doesn't exactly apply the same way the other way around now does it?

like. i mean obvious merlin loved arthur for just being arthur, man would have never stuck around otherwise and one may even argue that later on, he actually did put arthur over destiny repeatedly (although i will say i agree only partially with this because why wouldn't he protect arthur above all else, if it's arthur who is supposed to make it happen! that said yes, most of his motivation to keep arthur alive came from arthur being his friend, not some higher calculation.)

thing is. arthur wouldn't exactly know this. arthur in fact in the finale seems to grapple with this a lot, if not most. the idea that to merlin, too, he had been a means to an end, as to so many others, whether in them wanting to use him, or wanting to get him out of the way.

there are very, very few people (gwen, pretty much as the only one alive) for whom arthur was just arthur first, king and destined peace-bringer, prince and first knight etc etc second. and i think if not for the whole, you know, dying business, it would take him a long time to actually, fully believe that merlin was one of them, after all.

which is just fucking heart-breaking, innit.

HEAR ME OUT I PROMISE THERE'S A REASON.

Basically this world's version of events has Franziska on behalf of Interpol looking into the HAT-1 Miracle due to suspicious of international sabotage. Because Franziska von Karma is thorough and does not leave any stone unturned, she looks a little into UR-1, as it had happened a mere few days before and there may be a connection. What she finds from the actual case files is frustrating from how little care went into the trial...So screw it, she'll go directly to the source the trial had ignored: the little girl who had witnessed the crime.

While trying to glean any information that she can out of her, Franziska is reminded of how DL-6 similarly had effected her family and how her little brother was still struggling with it. And Athena's current legal guardian (Aura) in this mess is pissing her off so much in the amount of sheer hatred Aura exhibits and Franziska is definitely not projecting how dare you accuse her of that she has exactly 0 problems.

So one thing leads to another and now this child is now under Franziska's care.

Athena likes Franziska because Franziska doesn't talk down to her and while Fran isn't nice she is genuine and listens to her

do you think dune kinda knew sunny was a hybrid because

he knew thorn didnt tell many people about the egg, he knew that she didn’t reveal the father at all

and stealing the egg he wouldve been like “hrm. this looks different from a lot of sandwing eggs. must be a thing thorn’s family has idk”

and when sunny popped out with her clearly not sandwing coloration and her clearly not sandwing tail he probably thought “oh shit. that explains it ig”

like we know almost nothing about him but i think he wouldve protected sunny in his own little way. like “oh yeah, that’s just a thing with some sandwing eggs. it’s somethign that occurred in her mother’s family dont worry about it” and no one couldve argued because he’s the expert or whatever

like he wouldn’t have told sunny. he was part of burn’s army and she wasn’t a fan of hybridization. like yeah! he hated burn! but that mentality probably stuck with him a bit. and even if he didn’t want sunny to get hurt because she was the daughter of his friend he also didnt want her or anyone else to know.

The sheer level of negativity towards Destiny 2 I've seen this year is utterly exhausting. And a lot of it just doesn't make sense to me, but I see so much of it, it honestly makes me question if there's something wrong with me for enjoying it still. I had fun in Lightfall. I liked the campaign, I like Nimbus as a character, they're fun, and I adore the location of Neomuna. The story, imo, actually set up the stakes of The Final Shape quite well, by demonstrating that we could still fail.

Sure, Season of Defiance sucked, I fully admit that. It was not good. But every season since has, so far, been an absolute banger. Season of the Deep was great, storywise, and I like the activities for it. Season of the Witch is my favourite season since Splicer. And Season of the Wish has been, so far, great, I really like the Coil activity, I've loved going back to the Black Garden, and I like the story so far.

But when I see people constantly going on and on and on about how Lightfall was terrible, and the game sucks now, and it's not worth playing, and the game itself is killing interest in the game, and that's almost all anyone fucking talks about, it makes we question if there's something I'm missing. Something I'm not seeing that everyone else apparently is. I'm confused by it. Am I wrong, for enjoying the game? Should I be quitting it, throwing my character away? Because I don't feel like I need to.

Here's a funny question

So it's (probably) a fact that:

Ghosts are all made in one batch and none is made ever since

They have a "chosen" that they wanna revive and bond together

Crow was killed after Ghosts are made, and revived by a Ghost

So is it possible that a Ghost finds a person (still alive and kicking), thinks / decides that person is their chosen, literally follows them anywhere like a puppy, and one day watch them get killed and immediately revive and (actually) bond with them on the spot?

Just watch a bunch of unpartnered Ghosts reserve civilians in the last city as their guardians before they're even dead
