Why you shouldn’t poorly Recreate a Logo (Fonts Blog)

In the recent years, I’ve noticed many companies that have changed the way their logos look as well as their products. In some cases, the product logos either look wrong entirely, are inappropriate or are hard to read, such as the Cheese Puffs logo by Tesco, which looks like Poffs instead of Puffs. This is what I’m going to explain in this article.

When you should change a logo depends entirely on a few factors which are when changes in trending lettering design that’s commonly used in product logos changes to meet change in the eras or the century or when typefaces are updated.

Changing typefaces (fonts as it’s more commonly known) or letterings in product logos can lead to diverse opinions across a wide range of communities, including those who don’t design typefaces. It becomes increasingly difficult for those who struggle to read certain types of lettering due to poor eyesight or a developing condition such as dyslexia or severe eye diseases.

So, the next time you redesign a logo or a product, please take absolute care and attention for those who struggle to read certain letterings as it might lead to product differentiation which will result in opinions about the products you sell.

New Designs, New Platform, Same Ecouture Élan Magic!

Hey there, design lovers! Élan back again with some exciting updates from the world of Ecouture Élan.

First things first – I've expanded my reach and joined the incredible community of artists on Society6! That's right, you can now find a selection of some of my latest designs on a wide range of products, from classic t-shirts and frames to unexpected gems like bar stools and tables. Because why should your furniture be left out of the fashion revolution, right?

I've kicked things off with three brand-new designs that showcase the Ecouture Élan aesthetic – bold, abstract, and unapologetically unique. And the best part? This is just the beginning! I'll be adding more designs to my Society6 shop throughout the day today most likely, so keep checking back for fresh new designs.
