Soooo. I'm looking for some advice alright.

If you've been to my ao3 account lately, you'll know that I'm almost at 100 works. I'm currently at 97. There's maybe 2 fics between me and the inevitable 100th fic, one of which I'll (hopefully) post on Alec’s birthday.

Anyway, the point is - I have no idea what to do for my 100th fic.

After a lot of thinking - I came up with two ideas.

1) Post a compilation (I'm thinking like, 10 oneshots in a single fic) all inspired by my favourite Telugu movies or Telugu songs. Though Tollywood has its flaws, it shaped my idea of romance, of love, of character, and most importantly, it shaped the way I write malec. And I'd really really like to combine these two.

OR

2) Rewrite the first ever malec fic I wrote but never posted, because I didn't think people would like it. It was a kabaddi players AU, and there no Desi tsc fans that I knew on tumblr back then. That has obviously changed, so I'm much more confident sharing that fic now.

I like both of these ideas ofc, and one of them can always be done at a later date, so I'm not worried about that. I just want an idea of what I should do now. So, uh, suggestions? 🥺👉👈

The shadowhunters always talk about the western shadow markets as if they’re places of raw magic, but what about the shadow markets in south Asia? I feel like they would be the most enchanting, beautiful and powerful places in the world for downworlders. There is just so much natural and cultural magic here anyways that it would literally be a haven for lost downworlders struggling to find a place to belong. Just imagine 

the dizzying heat of the sun bearing down on your back but as soon as you enter the market a gentle drift of wind carries you inwards because the warlocks have placed a cooling spell to keep its inhabitants and occupants safe. A fae seller tries to coax you to buy his wares where you notice a sweet smelling concentrate of mogra and hibiscus that gives a feeling of intoxication like no other. Everywhere you go there’s a sharp burst of colours so pleasing to the eye that you feel as if you never want to leave. The music has a steady beat and you can see a ring of faeries dancing in ghagras and all you wish to do is join them but as you know...all magic comes at a cost...
