2008 promotional portraits I shot of Trent Reznor for Nine Inch Nails' Ghosts I-IV, which marked its 15th anniversary this year. We did this shoot the way we did most things around this era: minimal and DIY. Trent and I had recently had great success just driving around London taking impromptu promo shots for NIN's Year Zero with no plan/crew/budget (still some of my favorite portraits I’ve done), so we decided to do the same thing for Ghosts and just take a day trip out to Joshua Tree National Park and drive around looking for inspiration. Some of the material became promo shots complementary to the in-studio portraits I previously shared here, and some of it became artwork for the album.
I also released some Limited Edition signed/numbered fine art photography prints from this shoot.
This is my fifth collection of Ghosts I-IV photography shared here for its 15th anniversary - see the others here.
