Bellflower Bat WH Spooky Month AU

EDIT: Added everyone else’s feelings to Bellflower. Here’s Bellflower in another AU by the ever talented and marvelous @night-light-artz This time it’s Spooky Month. And just like their Van Helsing AU this chart shows how my clearly not doing so hot bat feels towards everybody.

Starting with Eddie-As you can see she’s neutral to the guy, even if he IS the reason she no longer has an arm. Yep in this AU Frank and Eddie’s son Freddie takes Streber’s place at running the haunted house, and of course since Eddie is Bob in this AU he’s not gonna hurt his son, but anyone else is fair game in the haunted house. Unlucky for Bellflower she was that game. She did manage to fight him off but still lost her arm and got seriously injured on her left wing too. But she can’t despise Eddie because she’s been keeping Freddie safe for him and Frank and knew them both before she knew who Eddie truly was, so she doesn’t do anything and really with the amount of pain pills she’s on she’s too tired to. Eddie sees her as a friend but he was also a little too knife happy and probably a little hungry too so he was blinded by those feelings when he attacked Bellflower. Not sure how he would feel afterwards learning what he did to Belle, maybe to just avoid her for a while.

Next is Howdy-Her boyfriend, who helps her get through this tough time. Even if he looks tired and done with everything life has thrown at him, when he can get home to Bellflower he turns into a full blown cuddlepillar. He was so scared when Frank frantically called him saying Bellflower was in the hospital and seeing her with a missing arm and learning about her major blood loss and the possibility she’d never fly again really hit him hard and he swore to her unconscious boy that he’d do all he could to make her life as normal as possible. He puts her pain meds in sweet treats even if she’d take them normally but she appreciates the care. She also is accepting of him acting as her “new arm” since he’s got two to spare. She cuddles to him when she can and though suffers nightmares, night terrors( especially when she learns Eddie went to where Howdy works) and phantom limb syndrome at times she loves Howdy and he loves her.

Julie-A dear friend who actually introduced her to Frank, Eddie, and Freddy, the two hang out often, Julie helping Bellflower when Howdy can’t. She helped Bellflower stretch her injured wing so at least Belle can use it though she hasn’t tried fully flying yet she can flap it and whap people with it when they’re being stupid. Julie is also happy to be Bellflower’s second arm and wants to enter them in a three arm competition which Bellflower humors her and is helping her brainstorm ideas for what a three armed competition would entail.

Poppy-Bellflower’s wonderful cousin who, while not the one who patched her up, did visit her after the attack and keep her bandages clean and her meals filled with good fruit, but only when on her own break. Bellflower was so happy that Poppy went into the medical field and even helped her study for her tests. These two get along like sisters more than cousins and Poppy is very happy her Demisexual and Demiromantic cousin found a good Caterpillar as a boyfriend.

Sally- Since she’s a cop Bellflower has a high amount of respect for her and the job she does. She did tell her and Barnaby all that happened with the attack. Sally also hopes to bring justice to all who have been harmed by this serial killer “menace”.

Barnaby-Like with Sally she holds Barnaby with so much respect and in turn he tells her jokes that she tells to Howdy so both can unwind from the day with a good laugh before falling asleep cuddled together.

Wally-A sweet kid Bellflower babysits for Frank, as well as his pumpkin costume wearing best friend, she treats Wally as a younger brother and he sees her as an older sister. Also Freddie sees Bellflower as a sister too and feels terrible his dad did this to Bellflower but is glad she holds no ill will to anyone in his family.

And last is Frank-Frank was introduced to Bellflower by Julie when they were looking for another babysitter and not only did Belle leave a positive impression on Wally but also Freddie and quickly Frank. While their friendship is not as strong as his and Julie’s he does see her as a very good friend and she sees them as someone she can go to even when not called up to babysit or assist Freddie with any of his new projects. Frank does feel immense guilt for what Eddie did to Bellflower and is helping her through her recovery, making sure she’s able to relax even when she’s watching Wally and his friend. Bellflower has to constantly reassure Frank that she does not blame their husband for what happened and is just thankful to be alive so she can still enjoy Frank and Julie’s company. Still, Frank keeps a stock of Belle’s favorite fruits in the fridge.

First up is CJ Chronicle! I've shared an opposite au version of him for jace's au but never shared the og!

BOOM Here's my boy!! His bio has most info but some extra stuff:

Height is between Frank and Eddie's

He and Frank can talk literature for Hours. Frank lent them some books for writing inspo and that's when they fell.

CJ and Eddie also talk a lot! I hc that Eddie likes to read too and showed interest in CJ's published books. Then he Actually Read Them. CJ was baffled and smitten.

History nerd. He will purposely point out historical inaccuracies in Sally's plays to get under her skin.

on that note he gets along with everyone but Sally and occasionally Barnaby. The dog can be very distracting and he needs quiet when writing.

Maybe your other blog answers this question, or you've answered it before. What was the first show/movie you saw Dean O'Gorman in and what made you stan him?

The first thing I actually saw him in was Young Hercules back when it was on tv and I loved Iolaus. I didn’t know who he was though.

Fast forward to 2021 and I watched The Hobbit trilogy for the first time and fell for Kili (sorry Dean 😅) and in searching for Kili content, came across gifs of Almighty Johnsons. I saw gifs of the scene where Anders asks Ty if he wants to see his stick and I got curious about the show. When I watched TAJ, I fell for Anders, and then looked into Dean more and eventually realized he was Iolaus from Young Hercules days lol.

My love of Anders led me to @laurfilijames’s amazing Anders fics and eventually we became friends and she got me into more Deano content and the rest is history. 🥰

I really enjoy a lot of his characters, like Anders, Iolaus, Jon, and Barnaby, etc. and when I like a character a lot I tend to want to write about them.

Dean himself reminds me a lot of my husband at times with his sense of humour and improv etc. (and my hubby’s hair was long and curly when we met) but I think Deano’s a bit more erm… misbehaved I guess you could say. But not in a bad way. 💛

I’ve never really been much of a celeb chaser and I have to admit that if Deano threw himself at me irl I really wouldn’t be interested in anything romantic or physical. I’m very loyal to my husband and I’m pretty demisexual. I just think he’s attractive and I like imagining scenarios with his characters. 😅 I guess what I mean is, it’s all pretend to me. Hypothetical/fantasy but not something I actually want.

Part of my Deano obsession is also like… the fun of trying to find all his obscure media and watch/share it etc. 🤓🤣 And getting to chat with other Deano fans about him and his shows etc is one of my favourite things too.

He doesn’t get it. Cause he’s Straight. But he looks at a magazine with a gal who looks like Barnaby and his brain (been sending signals for months now - none of which have been received) makes a desperate bid for him to connect the dots.

He doesn’t but for the first time in his life he owns a magazine because of a model on the cover and he feels very proud and very normal. Yes I DO understand sexual attraction thank you very much. Look I even have one model i have a crush on. What do you mean she looks like Barnaby? I don’t understand.

Would anyone care for some Ruby lore?

She was a ballerina first and foremost but also loved ballroom dancing. She would invite the other puppets to dance with her during her skits. She loved to dance with Wally and Julie the most.

She loved to throw tea parties. She would go all out for them too. She would make the tea, bake muffins, cookies, and scones, and make personalized invitations. Once the other puppets stopped being scared of her and she warmed up to them, she would invite them all over. Formal attire was a must, of course!

When she wasn't dancing, she would sing songs from the 50s and 60s like Unchained Melody, You Can't Hurry Love, and Earth Angel. Supposedly, Playfellow sold records of her singing songs from the show and covers of other songs but the restoration project hasn't found any of them. Would anyone listen to them now?

Her puppet was designed to always have her feet in pointe stance. It hurt so much......

She would sing and mutter song lyrics to herself whenever she was bored or trying to distract herself. She didn’t always realize when she was doing it.

Only smiles on the rare occasion. Barnaby once spent an entire episode trying to get her to laugh and only got her to smile near the end.

It took a while for her to warm up to the other neighbors and vice versa. Julie was the first to really try to get to know her and invite her to take part in their games. Because of that, she had a soft spot for Julie.

Sally would sometimes try to recruit her to be part of her performances. The ones that required a dancing partner, at least.

She wasn't very close to Frank but they usually got along due to the both of them being more down-to-earth compared to the rest of Welcome Home.

It was never outright said due to the time period but she was implied to be demisexual.

At first, her design was going to be all white with only her eyes being red. Her red bow and the red red red red red red red red red parts of her dress weren't added until later to help her stand out.

She liked to collect rocks and old records. She even had a pet rock she named "Eustacia." She made a little bed for her right next to her bed.

She was so scared of the dark that she would sleep with the lights on. She was right to be scared. I'm still scared.

Throughout the show, she never brought up her family even when asked. She didn't like to talk about them.

Her voice claim would be Kathryn Beaumont's Alice from Alice In Wonderland.

One summer after Jacob was treated by R, he was a lot quiet and stayed in his room most of the time. Danique was feeling sad about this, but her dad told her that it is normal for teenagers to spend their time in the bedroom. So she tried to understand and playing with herself instead.

Knowing Jacob was expelled is quite a shock for her since Jacob was always serious about studying and had good grades. She was angry at him for ruining family's peace. He and father had never talk to each other again since that. Even she was angry, she sneaked into his room to talk to him sometimes. Surprisingly, Jacob talked to her. He also told her that he may disappear one day to seek for something and if he found it, it might make the situation better. Having thought about Jacob leaving, she cried and tried to beg him not to go. Jacob lied that he changed his mind and promised to stay. One morning when Danique went to his room to show her new achievement of wandless spell, he was not there.
