i know we all go feral over coney island but GENUINELY. some lightening bolt of creativity shot down from the skies and joined these powerhouse artists together so that they could craft a perfect melody and prose that makes my bones ache and my heart break and my eyes well up and my soul leave my body. i think about the second verse at least once a day. it is a revelation every single time that i listen to them harmonise "a universe away". i understand something deep within myself in the closing chorus when i hear them sing "the sight that flashed before me was your face/when the sun goes down". they truly captured something poignant and fundamental and human and every single piece of praise that people give it is more than well deserved

Non fire/smoke offering alternatives

As someone who is going back to living on campus soon where we can't burn candles/incense/other flames, here's a (non exhaustive) list of alternatives for your spirits/deities/entities

Water/Other Drinks

Always a good basic offering that can be applied to most entities, just make sure it's fresh! Other drinks can include juice, milk (good if your Kemetic), and alcohol if you're able to

Food

Again, something that can be applied to most entities. Especially deities who usually have certain foods historically offered to them

Crystals

Offer crystals associated with your entities or experiment and see what they vibe with

Plants/Flowers

If you have a green thumb, consider putting a plant or flowers on their altar (or whatever their sacred space may be)

(also if you tend to kill plants, cacti or even moss balls are easy to care for and are pretty hardy)

Art

Draw/paint/sculpt something for them! Even if you're not "good" at art, they'll surely appreciate the effort nonetheless!

Things You've Found in Nature

Go on a walk and find some cool rocks or bones or whatever, anything that speaks to you. Offer it to your entities!

Oils

Something we've been meaning to do more often. You can use any herbs in your pantry (and you most likely have a carrier oil in your kitchen already)! Use them to anoint yourself or other offerings

Devotional Acts

One of the more slept on offerings imo, but just do something for your entities! Even simple things like self care can be a devotional act. A devotional act that my deities love is researching/learning about their myths/culture where they come from

🌀 - Hypnosis in vore?

I do like using vore as an exploration of... loss of control(?), but the exaggerated depictions of hypnosis I usually see doesn't do much for me. I do like the more subtle kinds of it, though maybe it doesn't fall under "hypnosis". By subtle I mean... quiet manipulation of someone's impulse thoughts to the point where you (the viewer) almost don't realize it's going on. at that point it kinda falls into deception though...??? I do like stuff like the pred being able to make their target fall asleep once they capture them, stuff like that.

i am absolutely determined to finish my year of the otp/year of jason and slade series before the end of the month. a snippet from the dicktim i've been working on:

Sneaking in to run Dick a nice bath after a long day with Bruce is the least he can do, really. And, probably more importantly, he wants to. Wants to make Dick feel good in any way that he can. He can tell that Dick wants the same thing - he brings Tim coffee to the Bunker or the office, makes him stop working when he can and makes sure Tim eats when he can’t. Actions speak louder than words for both of them, and they’re putting in the work to make it work. Tim’s never had a relationship like this, really. He’s pretty sure he’s never been happier.

i don't know about new tropes, but i do want to get that DickTim trope fill thing off the ground today...
