how did you decide how to order the songs on the right where you left me playlist? i'm loving the vibes!

tysm!! so when i put playlists in order (which i usually don't i just add songs as they come to me), i always consider three things: 1. timeline 2. vibe and 3. transition. i'll go into the timeline in depth, but vibe was basically - what vibe does this fic give me? can i picture reading this in a coffeeshop with this playing in the background? if the answer is yes, it was allowed in the playlist! transition is more the order of the songs specifically - how does one bleed into the next? does it match the energy of the song before it, or otherwise, ease the reader into a new energy? you can't have a fast song and then a slow song back to back thats madness.

the timeline explanation is long so i put it under the cut, but basically, i broke it up into stages of the fic and then followed the vibe/transition system. there are five pretty clear-cut stages that cycle through the stages of grief - denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. if you want the explanations, keep going!

for the timeline of this playlist, i broke it down into stages of the fic:

i. shayne's internal monologue (denial) - you know that beginning part of the fic where shayne is just so depressed and he hates himself and you just wanna shake him and put him out of his misery. yeah this is that part! the beginning of the loops, him struggling to fix it himself and not knowing where to turn.

Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher has picked Arsenal’s Declan Rice as Premier League’s most influential player this season. Keane said Rice reminds him of Manchester United legend Roy Keane. Recall that Rice moved to Arsenal from West Ham for £105m in the summer. The England international has been impressive for Mikel Arteta’s side so far this season. Arsenal may have denied Man Utd a second top midfielder after signing Declan Rice Arsenal achieved a significant triumph by surpassing the British transfer record and spending £105m to secure the signing of Declan Rice from West Ham.  This move also prevented bitter rivals Manchester United from acquiring him, despite their keen interest in the player. At Manchester United, many believed that Rice had the potential to emulate the legendary Roy Keane's impact on the team. Recent reports indicate that Arsenal's acquisition of Declan Rice has had multiple positive effects for the Gunners.  Not only did they secure the services of a world-class talent while preventing their title rivals, Manchester United, from strengthening their squad with Rice, but Arsenal's massive transfer fee also seems to have influenced West Ham's transfer plans. With the significant funds received from Arsenal for Rice's transfer, West Ham is now reportedly looking to make a move for Germany international Leon Goretzka from Bayern Munich.  Goretzka, a dynamic central midfielder, is available in the market this summer, as reported by Sky Sports Germany, and the deal could go ahead if West Ham meets Bayern Munich's valuation of £34m without any disputes.  Therefore, Arsenal's transfer actions may have inadvertently impacted Manchester United's backup option while enabling West Ham to target another talented midfielder. If the Champions League winner is willing to join, West Ham considers this deal to be an obvious and straightforward choice. United will be disappointed by the news, as they have been keeping an eye on Goretzka for many seasons and previously competed with Bayern to sign him back in 2018 when he left Schalke. Erik ten Hag, the manager of United, saw Goretzka as a perfect fit for his team, but the club had hoped to negotiate a lower fee with Bayern for the 28-year-old player. The relationship between the two clubs is friendly, as evidenced by the loan agreement of Marcel Sabitzer last season. However, if West Ham shows a willingness to pay the asking price promptly, it might push Bayern to make a decision. United might now have to search for other midfield options this summer, with Moises Caicedo potentially moving from Brighton to Chelsea, adding to their competition for midfield signings. Erik ten Hag could face further implications as United prepares for the possibility of West Ham expressing interest in their players. As a part of the Rice deal, West Ham is rumored to be considering making a move for Harry Maguire, who has been somewhat overlooked at United.
