Is gator gals tail sensitive?? It looks so pillow worthy...
what if tail pillow ... 😳 apparently crocodilians, despite having thick skin and scales, are pretty sensitive to touch! i won't go into detail, but look it up if you're interested. to tie into that, a gator-human hybrid would be more sensitive than a human being. mostly to pressure on the scale areas (scales being like armour, so it wouldn't feel like having your skin touched) and sensitive elsewhere but especially the face (and underside of tail)
A far better version of my thoughts on how GCs recruit young people to their hate cult.
I’m not gonna be nice. It’s basically a cult now.
Young queer/LGBT girls, the leaders are working with the Heritage Foundation. They’re not just gonna turn on you, they want all AFABs to be barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen.
These are all the named upperclassmen that have at least a decent role in the narrative of "Navigating the den of snakes, by Yellow_sprouts" (self promo lol)
ANYWAY- I love them all and since some of them are OC or lack a lot of in canon/fanon charecterization ill be using memes to help develop them
lily evans is a vegetarian; the idea of eating something that once lived makes her feel sick.
mary macdonald always wears colour coordinated outfits, there’s always that perfectly equal amount of colour and the colours always go together perfectly.
marlene mckinnon is a bedtime procrastinator, she rarely goes to bed on time.
mary 100% does pre-shower makeup and has been walked on multiple times whilst doing so (she tries to hide in the bathroom but marlene has a weak ass bladder so sometimes barges their way in lmao).
mary is the worst for education related procrastination (so real).
dorcas meadows has a variety of hair beads and will always match them with her outfits. bonus: marlene finds the way her beaded braids sway mesmerising.
lily loves pink but hates pink clothes.
mary is aromantic. she thought crushes were just people you randomly selected and has way too much fun pretending to romantically like people whom she actually just thinks are fit.
lily is demiromantic and has never understood hallway crushes
dorcas is partially deaf and is fluent in sign language (she wears pretty green hearing aids).
in third year, pandora actually frequents the hospital wing more than remus. it’s mostly because of all her experiments. progressively, the visits lessen as her experiments grow more and more successful (doesn’t stay that way..)
firm believer that pandora was a conspiracy theorist and disliked the usage of wands because she thought they were made to limit power. she began learning wandless magic in her free time.
lily was fucking powerful and a brilliant witch, but struggled heavily with the cultural aspects of the wizarding world because she was muggleborn. therefore, she started a casual tutor session for first year muggleborns so that they could get to grips with this new world and all it’s practices.
she/they marlene mckinnon supremacy!!
pandora was a ravenclaw and i refuse to accept the hc that she was a slytherin, it doesn’t fit with my idea of her character.
pandora is incredibly unorganised so dorcas made her a lil schedule <3. for the larger part, it was to help, but it was also for dorcas’ sanity.
adding onto that, ocd!dorcas. i feel like she’s so passionately against blood supremacy that she sometimes has intrusive thoughts in relation to it. plus, she loves the tidy and perfectly planned lifestyle because it gives her a sense of control and balance. marlene’s chaotic, careless personality was actually a massive factor in their whole enemies to lovers thing but she actually ended up being a big support for dorcas because they were always willing to help ease her irrational worries and fears.
I went into some tags for Griselda Netflix and saw somebody refer to the show as "girlbossification" which is really bizarre given that the mc explicitly lies, manipulates, harms others and sucks people down into a toxic vortex around her. In the episode I just watched she pulled a gun on her party guests and made one strip naked and bark like a dog and two others have sex with each other in front of her. I do not think she is being portrayed as a girl boss I think you are just totally unequipped to interpret a female antihero and feel the need to apologize for watching something that centers a woman who isn't perfect, relatable, or even baseline morally good. Truly like grow up
Contemplating going back to grad school but my farsightedness is so severe that even with reading glasses, I would need some of the accommodations for visually impaired students--large-print books, audio "narration" software for assigned texts in PDF format, that sort of thing. My glasses work less well with computer screens; I'm not sure why, maybe they need a blue light filter or something. The problem is that I'd be reading texts in three or more languages, which use three or more alphabets, and that's a lot of highly specialized software. I'm also dyslexic, which makes reading archival documents EXTREMELY difficult in conjunction with my vision. I would need a LOT of help, and I'm not sure any department would be willing to provide it
Deaf Character Featured in Newly Licensed Yuri Manga 'The Moon on a Rainy Night'
On Sunday at Anime NYC, Kodansha USA announced that it will publish Kuzushiro's romance manga The Moon on a Rainy Night (Amayo no Tsuki) in English. The manga is notable for featuring a deaf character, Kanon, in its central Yuri storyline.
The publisher describes the manga:
One day, while rushing to a piano lesson, a girl named Saki collides with someone on the street. As Saki collects herself, the stranger picks up the sheet music Saki dropped, hands it to Saki together with a band-aid, and continues on her way-all without saying a word. Saki is left wondering about the identity of the tall, lovely stranger, only to discover the next day that she is one of her classmates at her new high school. The girl's name is Kanon, and though she is hearing impaired, she refuses any kind of support or "special treatment" from her teachers or classmates. Over the course of the year, Saki slowly grows closer to Kanon and begins to chip away at her cold exterior.
The Moon on a Rainy Night has received mostly positive reviews from critics and audiences. Erica Friedman of Okazu gave the first volume an 8/10 score, praising Kuzushiro's signature artwork and the way the manga "neither fetishizes nor romanticizes deafness." However, she criticized some elements of the story, like the early chapters pacing and the bully characters. The first Japanese volume holds a perfect five-star rating on Amazon with 348 reviews.
The manga began serialization in June 2021 on Comic Days, with new chapters releasing every other week. It is one of several LGBTQ+ works serialized on the platform, alongside Keito Gaku's Boys Run the Riot, Asuka Miyazaki's X-Gender, and Koyubi Sugawara's My Idol Sits the Next Desk Over! Kodansha publishes three volumes of the manga in Japanese.
Kuzushiro is a Japanese mangaka known for her Yuri series, including Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san, Love Death., and Living With My Brother's Wife, which is published in English on Square Enix's Manga Up! app.
The first volume of The Moon on a Rainy Night will be released in English in the Fall of 2023.
