Feral kitten mounted for my personal collection. I think this was sort of a breakthrough piece for me, it's (in my opinion, at least) the best of my mammals so far.

It's always sad to see dead kittens that could have been in a shelter instead, but it's better than having them in the bush eating native birds. Unsure of the exact cause of death, but there was lots of bruising around the head, and the back of her skull was shattered :(

Little birthday gift to myself, a European fo.x cub pelt! I've been after a cub pelt for over a decade, so when I saw this guy listed cheap as a vintage stole on eBay I had to have him! He was probably around 3 months old and still has his woolly puppy coat. Last pic is next to an adult fo.x for comparison.

I was working with my mentor yesterday when one of his clients brought in a kāhu (swamp harrier) and a least weasel that he wanted mounted together.

I will not be mounting these, nor do they belong to me, but I wanted to mention them anyway because they're cool. The kāhu has quite unique colours, their heads aren't usually so light!
