[Image ID: a scratched-stone-textured illustration of Thief King Bakhura, seen from the waist-up and lit by torchlight. He is screaming in terror, eyes wide and teeth stained with fresh blood. Partly dried blood drips from his forehead, and he's holding his hands up before himself as they melt into sand, his rings falling as his fingers dissolve. The side of his face is also melting into sand, exposing the muscles underneath.]
Bakuratober Day XX: [Nightmare]
Third Rebelle test, watercolor seeping in textured oil paint. It just stuck with me that Bakhura's teeth are visibly bloody for a few chapters—and this scene in particular was incredibly distressing, so I made it Worse.
Was anyone else traumatized when the poor shoe is melted in Dip in Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Turpentine was in the ingredient list for Dip, and it dissolves oil paint...
This was my first-planned piece, to test the watercolor/oil bloody teeth idea. But it's more of a panel redraw than a prompt, I’ve made my heart hurt, and Bakhura deserves nice things, so I'll do one more.
And in case you haven’t seen it before, here’s the "Bakhura" name analyzation: https://fictatious.livejournal.com/29840.html
Bakuratober Day 18: Vampire
Bakuratober Day 14: Ghost
Bakuratober Day 28: Dancer
