Can I just say how perfect the name Black Bird is for Tim?

When he was young, he loved Robin with all his heart. Dick was his hero, Jason was his idol. And when he was given the opportunity to be the third Robin, he was hesitant at first, but ultimately became an incredible hero.

But he's outgrown Robin. Even Red Robin, he's grown out of. Just like Dick and Jason, his own story and adventures have matured him to the point where he needs to shed the Robin title. Cause Robin as a broad concept is a paragon protege, a child who represents the light and hope of Gotham. People look for the green, red and yellow as much as they watch out for the black. But Robin has to be a child for this hope to work. Tim just isn't.

But he is a bird. Because he still operates on principles extremely like Nightwing's. He isn't vengeance like Batman is, always looking on the past. He's a beacon, looking to pave a way to the best possible future, meaning he can't be Black Bat. Tim will always be a bird.

Which is why Black Bird is the right name for him. He grew up in the shade of Gotham, his whole world surrounded by vigilantes and tragedy. Yet he still became a good hero, a symbol for the people of the city. He grew up to be more like Nightwing than Batman; still a bird roaming through the dark, fighting the good fight for the sake of goodness. He doesn't need to be Robin anymore, and Black Bird is what he should become.

Merry Little Batman has confirmed it’s release date on December 8th 2023 to begin streaming on Amazon Prime!

“Merry Little Batman is an animated family action comedy destined to join the rogue’s gallery of classic holiday movies,” the official synopsis reads. “When young Damian Wayne finds himself alone in Wayne Manor on Christmas Eve, he must transform into “Little Batman” in order to defend his home and Gotham City from the crooks and supervillains intent on destroying the holidays.”

CONFIRMED: It's David Corenswet as Superman / Clark Kent and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane.

Siblings Alexander and Bill Skarsgard are on a "shortlist" to play the villain Lex Luthor.

Superman: Legacy is slated for release on July 11, 2025, and THR reported that Gunn wants to shoot at the start of 2024.
