I know this is a weird ask, but I’m doing a research paper on poor queer rep in media and happened to stumble across a lengthy essay some doctor made explaining how Jensen’s homophobic. I want to think it’s probably bs, because I think I would actually vomit if that were true (I know, I’m unhinged, but some of the stuff he’s said saved me), but I’m like...idk, he has a PhD and years of expertise in this specific area. I’m too scared to read the essay bc I want it to be wrong so badly.

a couple of things. 1) when was this published? b. do they even watch spn/like...keep up with cons and stuff like that, III- can we be sure of credentials? also i’m gonna just. link this post. and i’ll remind you that he’s been outwardly supportive to many queer and trans folk, as well as positive about the confession scene and the handprint !! just saying you’re not crazy for being wary of it, it may completely just be bs, and ultimately, it’s just some rando’s opinion ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  PhD or nay
