Any moots play DBH on PC? I’m normally play on PS4, but I’ll be coming into a copy of the PC game soon, and I’m hoping to play around with freecam, mods, etc.

Anyone got any good PC reqs? Particularly laptops? My old one wouldn’t be able to run it. 😭

Does anyone know how to make the dbh freecam focus on close objects instead of the background only? I tried changing the depth of field multiple times but I still can't get 'em close to an object without losing focus and everything getting blurry.

Is that cuz I'm playing on low settings?

Hey there. The freecam, ironically, has to be purchased. You'll have to sign up to be a patron through Frans Bouma (aka Otis Inf)'s Patreon, at which point you'll have access to all of the cams he's created. I had to search a bit to find the DBH cam, since it's been out a couple years, but after that, it's up to you if you want to continue as a patron. Just don't delete it, or you'll have to subscribe again.

Kamski’s Villa: Behind the Door

Ever wonder what was behind the door the Chloe comes out of to give Kamski his robe?

Yeah, that’s right. This door. Straight ahead.

Here it is again from the back.

But wait—the back, you say, nock-and-bolt?

Yes, the back, I say.

Because with the glorious power of freecam and the gift of a friend with the game on PC, we can finally see what’s behind the door. And just like Carl’s bathroom, holy RA9 there’s actually so much they coded into it—

Like, I’m actually so impressed?

Here’s another angle on it. If you’ve seen a—ah, certain ending, you actually do in fact get a short, dimly lit glimpse of it. But now we know where exactly this room is located in his mansion, and we can see all of it with better lighting.

We can also explore it in greater detail mehehe, and there are two main things of note I want to highlight. The first of which being...

The Newscast: All Androids to be Detained

Military centers erected to recycle androids | Centers erected in L.A., Chicago, Houston, Detroit, and elsewhere | White House est...

Which, in all truth, is probably just coded to be there for that ending where this room appears, but you could certainly make some fascinating headcanons as to why this might be on Kamski’s projector now, before the Freedom March, before any peaceful demonstration or violent revolution. After all, as former CEO of CyberLife, Kamski would’ve been the boss of Philip Seymour, Director of Futurology at the company.

If you don’t remember from this in-game article, Seymour and his team developed a quantum supercomputer specifically designed to analyze massive amounts of data and generate predictions. And I think it’d be fascinating indeed if Kamski was checking out possible futures for his little revolution, calculating the odds, playing God and looking to see which of the many potentialities might be the one to take place in real time.

There’s also something to be said about a certain cat and a certain man named Schrödinger. 😜Man, imagine if there were different newscasts playing in the room every time you played the game. After all, our characters could be considered “both alive and dead until they interact with or are observed by the external world” (i.e. until the game is played to completion). In which case RIP for me looking into this room when this particular newscast was playing. 😂

But enough philosophy for the moment! If you scroll back up to that newscast pic, you’ll see that there’s still yet more of the room to be explored beyond those first wide-shots I initially provided.

And this, personally speaking, is my favorite part of the whole room:

HELLO.

Based on the funky stands, however, they’re probably not actual cellos so much as ✨art✨ but the amount that I flipped out when I saw this because I love instruments. Like—

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the incredible detail of scuff marks, scratches, reflections, and what have you on a hidden object in a hidden room that never appears anywhere actually on screen in-game but was nevertheless coded to beauteous acuity?

Long time since last post :X glad some of you are still here!

A lot of things happened in my life and I've been busy dealing with that. But now it's summer vacation anyway, so I've planned three DBH videos to make (one for Connor bcs it's near Aug 15th, one for Neil bcs his birthday is around the corner and the last one for simarkus as usual, however I'll put that off to November, two are already something that cost my time, and I need to play RE8 for Heisenberg's cut).

I'll make some new recording since I don't have many Connor's and some about untried paths (btw I've never tried Kamski's ending though I really love to lol). I'll make some freecam shots if coming across any good moments and I'll post them too.

Favourite thing about them: Connor is a danger puppy. He can be all soft one moment and then BAM! a total badass the next. I love it.

Least favourite thing about them: Can I just say Machine Connor? I love that you can choose to stay as a machine as Connor, but at the same time I just don't enjoy that path for him. It only ends badly for him and that's not okay! For me, Connor's story really shines when he chooses to go against Cyberlife and join his people. Fuck Cyberlife.

Favourite line: I'm going to be somewhat mainstream with my answer and say "Statistically speaking, there's always a chance for unlikely events to take place". I really like how he says it.

brOTP: Connor and North!!! A lot of people think North would have a hard time accepting Connor but honestly? I think they would be super close. They could bond over killing worthless humans, cool beanies and giving Markus a headache.

OTP: Anyone who pays the slightest bit of attention to this blog knows I am absolute trash for RK1K. Connor and Markus just.... They're so different yet also have so much in common. Plus they look hella good together. And they're both badasses. And cute. And I think they can understand each other on a level no one else can. Also did you see the absolute hearteyes Connor gives Markus in Stratford Tower??? I ain't ever getting over that.

nOTP: him and Gavin Reed. Just no. Big no from me. Also Hankcon. I never saw their relationship as romantic, I never got those vibes but I have nothing against those who like it. It's just not for me.

Random headcanon: He absolutely loves receiving physical affection but doesn't know how to ask for it, so a lot of the time he's finding sneaky ways to make it happen. 'Oh we reached for the same thing at the same time! Oooops!' Any casual touch will play on his mind for hours. Also, he loves Hank hugs even though they don't happen often.

Unpopular opinion: oh god, the first unpopular opinion I thought of is nsfw so I'm sorry for this but Connor can absolutely top. I respect anyone who thinks differently and you're valid af but I disagree. Boy is versatile.

Song I associate with them: 'Can you feel my heart' by Bring Me The Horizon. It's angsty as hell and gives me major Connor feels.
