Chuuya can make cat noises and Dazai’s obsessed with it to an almost unhealthy degree.

The only reason Dazai knows he can do this is because one time, while they had a very rare day off. They were walking around, arguing and bickering and something caught Dazai’s attention, probably the latest volume of his suicide guidebook. He literally marveled at it for 5 minutes straight before turning back around to trick Chuuya into buying it for him, but Chuuya was fucking gone.

So, Dazai went looking for him and found him in a nearby alley, playing with a stray kitten. That made absolutely no sense to Dazai because weren’t those motherfuckers supposed to be hostile and cautious? The little hell spawn was like domesticated animal with Chuuya.

When it started to meow, Chuuya meowed back.

It was literally one of the best moments in Dazai’s life.

It was like Chuuya fucking copy pasted the sound right back at the kitten, it was so realistic that Dazai almost doubted his ears. Of course, it wasn’t fake, it was and is one of the most adorable things he knows about Chuuya.

He also never lets him live it down. He’s always trying to get him to meow.
