If we're going by the rules that ectobiology doesn't actually make everyone related other than to their guardians does that mean ultimate dirk and rosebot just role play as father and daughter? The strilondes really do have a thing for incest huh

They really do. Part of me thinks it begins with how each Strilonde has a strange relationship with their respective guardian. Rose not understand her Mom's affection was genuine and that she was drowning in her sorrows about the end of the world. Dave and Bros' complicated relationship of the harsh training to prepare himself for Sburb and the fact that Bro is also part of Lord English. We don't know much about Roxy and Dirk's relationship with theirs besides the fact that they had died fighting off The Condesce. But we can assume that after their deaths, both have their ways to cope on losing a guardian that left them abruptly and they had to do make do with their own survival. Much like Jake. However, maybe to Roxy and Dirk, they feel like it is also a sense of duty or job to carry on what Alpha Rose and Dave have failed when fighting against The Condesce. For Roxy, she also tries to be the caretaker for all the Carapacians to fill in the loneliness. She does have her friends, but she still wants company to be around and they were the ones there, suffering from The Heiress. She also made a fuckton of Vodka Mutini to play the role of crazy cat lady to fill that emptiness in her life. Dirk focuses on the survival for himself and his friends, to the point he also made robots and an AI to help keep watch or train his friends to be ready for the situation. Latter especially for Jake since Dirk thought he might not be ready and wanted to at least have control of the situation if things do go for the worst. It's a messed up situation all around that therapy alone can't solve their problems. And this is how many cats were in this panel with Roxy that someone counted.
