This is the murmur of the land
This is the sound of love's marching band
And how they hold you like a gun
And how I sing you like a song I heard when I was young
And buried for a night like this

Why not read The Club Dumas? We’ve got:
A book club straight out of Eyes Wide Shut
Murder and Intrigue™
Metafiction: “He'd have given a rare incunabulum, in good condition, to punch the face of whoever was writing this ridiculous script.”
Castles
Various collections of old tomes
A spooky grimoire with cool AF woodcuts
Loads of references to literature and occultism
“I KNOW YOU’RE HERE, [SPOILER], YOU BIG FUCKING NERD. WHERE’S MY GODDAMN MONEY?”
Sexy Satan
Forget THS, this is the Dark Academia book. It’s a book about books. For people who like books.

I took this picture myself. Some of these books are old, some were just poorly handled over the years, and all were thrifted across the second-hand stores of Dublin.
"Knowing you have something good to read before bed is among the most pleasurable of sensations"

So when they ask me where I've been
I'll plug the drain and calmly say, "I never left"
And quietly wish we had never met
'Cause that slow pain don't like to wait
No, it comes quick and then it never fades away
And I lost part of me that day

to anyone wanting to read about palestine / israel, i highly recommend mornings in jenin by susan abulhawa. i wrote my dissertation on this book. it has so many layers, it's so complex, and it's a really good novel if you're looking to develop a better understanding of the history between palestine and israel
