sooah had grossly underestimated how difficult it would be to travel with two young children. not that her girls were rowdy or even difficult to handle. it just seemed like the sheer amount of things that they had to bring and the things that she needed to consider were significantly increased compared to when she travelled with just yongnam.

one hand held each of the girls’ as they stepped out of the car in front of their hotel in jeju island, where they’d be vacationing for the next week. “can you grab the things in the trunk? or have one of the bellboys do it? my hands are a little full,” she exclaimed, hoping that she didn’t sound grouchy. she was just exhausted from the short flight.

“Are you okay?”

Harper ran up to the stranger with hands covering her mouth from the sight she’d just witnessed. Not only had the day been a bit dreary with rain, but puddles flooded across the various sidewalks and roads that it was a little hard to judge the depth of it. She had been about to yell out a warning to an unsuspecting stranger who didn’t notice one of the puddles but it was too late before she watched them fall right in the thick of it. 

“Oh, you poor thing! You’re soaked!” she said, standing beside them and offering out her hand to help them up. “Come! We’ll find you a cafe and get you warm again! You’ll get sick if you don’t!”

there  are  trips  that  can  be  unplanned  and  this  one  is  exactly  like  that.  derek  has  taken  it  upon  himself  to  prepare  whatever  the  two  might  need  for  the  few  days  at  the  camping  grounds.  it  isn’t  that  easy  to  fool  seulbi  but  for  the  surprise,  derek  was  able  to  convince  her  to  just  get  in  the  car  as  soon  as  the  two  finished  having  their  morning  coffee.  “ just  sit  back  and  relax.  trust  me,  you’ll  like  it. ”  he  gives  her  an  excited  smile,  really  hoping  the  end  result  will  be  a  happy  seulbi.

halfway  through  the  trip,  when  evergreens  and  snowy  mountain  tops  was  everything  they  could  see,  derek  finally  broke  the  otherwise  comfortable  silence.  “ hey,  snoring  beauty!  you  better  be  taking  photos  of  the  scenery  and  not  surfing  the  web. ”  he  nudges  her  playfully,  turning  his  head  to  look  at  her  while  trying  to  bite  back  a  laugh.  “ or  me.  i  don’t  mind  that. ”  he  bites  his  tongue  while  his  gaze  moves  back  on  the  road.

“We’re almost there, I swear.” Issac fought the urge to laugh. Whenever he so much as glanced to the side of him, whether it had been to check on Ronnie or just to simply raise his brows up at her in amusement. Though whenever she managed to return the gaze he simply dropped the tickled expression, putting on more of a straight face and possibly a feigned annoyed reaction. “ There really are no buses going out this way so we have no choice but to walk.” he pointed ahead down a very long, dusty dirt road that made it apparent no one cared too much about upgrading it. This shouldn’t have been how their summer vacation should have been spent for either of them - he having no choice as his grandparents threatened to cut him out of the family tree - so who better to suffer with? 

Issac wouldn’t tell Ronnie that though because he valued his life and he was sure she would more than likely never speak to him again. Instead he offered this little outing as though it would be more enlightening than staying in the city working at a 7 eleven. The best part about it was that at least he could actually offer her pay. Later of course. His grandparents were tough on him, they truthfully expected for him to take over the farm once they passed on. To keep everything running. The farm kept them in good business and had been passed down over the years on his grandfather’s side of the family. 

They believed in working hard, but they also believed in rewarding those that worked hard. Whenever he came up on the summer he came back a little more knowledgeable and with a good paycheck to boot even despite him refusing the money. “ We don’t work for free, why would we expect the same. You don’t work you don’t eat. If you work hard you should reap the benefits of that.” were there any better ways in introducing his girlfriend to his family and vice versa? He didn’t think so, he only hoped that everything worked out in the end. “ We can take a swim later on, there’s a creek off in the woods near the house--” now he even he was starting to feel the heat of the sun beating down on them so; his concern for getting her to the farm faster heightened.

he had that weak feeling in his knees and zarek wanted to panic– it was this very feeling that he got around boys that was how he eventually discovered his sexuality, however he hadn’t shared it with many people, and certainly hadn’t shared the knowledge with the public or his fans. doing so scared the hell out of him, even just the thought of it. his heart sinks as jae rim mentions that his friends assumed zarek was straight. obviously that wasn’t the truth, but if you had looked up any interviews of him talking about an ideal type or asked about girls, he didn’t exactly deny that he even liked girls– which was completely untrue, he was totally gay, but he had dated a few girls in the past and he wasn’t proud of how he had hurt them by lying to them. ❝well.. i’m definitely not straight.. and, i’d really like to see what this perfect date is all about. that is, if you’d still want to go with me.❞ he saw how jae rim had taken those steps back, and so many times zarek had let his thoughts wash over what he really wanted, and he wasn’t going to let that happen again, because he truly liked this guy and wanted to explore a possible relationship with him. he would just have to step out of his comfort zone and it would be a learning curve for him.

            it’s not in jae rim’s nature to pine after boys who were still in the closet-- he was far too open with his life to want to hide any of it, let alone something as big as who he was dating. but there was something about the blushing boy standing next to him that made him find those reservations... meaningless. so much that he’s already taken that conservative approach to editing with their interview from the other day. the smirk that’s been clear across his face only grows at the first few words that fall from the other’s lips (his friend owes him five dollars now). at the underlying question given by zarek, there’s a soft hum that’s emitted. giving him a once-over, rimmy acts as if he doesn’t already know his answer, as if he needs to weigh some things over. a few moments pass before he takes a step forward, one hand moving to intertwine with the other boy’s.   “ well... i won’t be able to give you the whole perfect date, since i wasn’t given the prior notice... but i’m still up for wining and dining you. ”

amusement plastered all over her features. her eyes averting from the movie to his direction, lips forming into a smile as her head bobbed up and down, nodding at his seemingly confused question (which was something she found cute by the way). he was right though, in every way. what they had; love that grew over time was to be left confidential. no doubt and they did a pretty good job at it. BUT as much as she hated to admit, sometimes emptiness and longing would cripple in and take over her, causing her to feel lonely even if she shouldn’t. she knew his stand and understood. ❝ that’s true. ❞  it also came to a point where she almost failed to subdue her own selfishness and decided to talk about going public. ❝ but... ❞ a pause. who knew that opening up for once would be this difficult? she hated it but she had to. a huge step for a her. besides, honesty is the key to a successful relationship. reference? her friends and brother. ❝ but that doesn’t mean that... ❞ again another pause and this time, there was hesitation in her voice. honesty, honesty, honesty. it played inside her head like a broken record. ❝ that i would... um... stop longing for something more. ❞ and she finally said it. ❝ my thoughts about our relationship still stands but there are days where i just long for you probably more than i should have. i love the idea of us together; walking around while... ❞ unaware of pink shaded cheeks, the female went on and probably had no intention of stopping. this was her chance and who knew when she’d have the courage to tell him about her thoughts again. ❝ h-holding hands, laughing freely on the street, going on dates... but seeing you on stage, with the smile on your face. cameron, you look so happy performing and i don’t want to take that away from you especially now that you just recently came back. you know how the public reacts to idols dating. ❞ she shook her head. ❝ you’re more important than anything in this world to me. ❞ 

silence.

what was next for her to do? she had no idea AT ALL. there was nothing left for her to do but to hope and pray that he would not get mad at her revelation. she was not demanding, just a thought and that was all.

yingyue looked to the male sitting beside her on the plane, a smile on her face. it was hard to believe that they’d officially been together for so long now. after pining after him for all those years and working so hard to win his heart, she could say with absolute certainty that it had been worth it. sure, she might have done and said some lies that might not have been the smartest things, but teenage yingyue was not always the brightest. at least the lies had all come to light and their relationship of many years now was strong. with his busy schedules, it was often hard to find time away, but thankfully, they finally had a few days where they would travel to fiji and just enjoy doing absolutely nothing but eat and sleep and enjoy each other’s presence. they had left yifei with her parents, and she knew that she was in good hands. “we’re almost there,” she announced, taking his hand as she held it tightly in her own. “aren’t you glad we decided to just take a trip where we can do absolutely nothing and it’s totally okay?” she hoped he wasn’t regretting it or thinking about work.

his heart was pounding in his chest– zarek had never done something like this before ( but he also had never had such a serious relationship before either ) so the nerves were kicking in, but there was more excitement than anything. he had no schedules planned for a good two weeks, so on a whim he decided to fly out to see his boyfriend since they hadn’t seen each other in a while and it was killing him– he hadn’t told his boyfriend any of his plans and wanted to surprise him. he knew that rimmy would be at an event around the time he would land, making it the perfect opportunity for him to slip in at any given time, and rimmy definitely wouldn’t be expecting it, since it wasn’t like zarek to do this sort of thing, especially in public given that he still hadn’t come out yet. he was working on that, though it was getting more obvious to his fans, and they were suspicious that he was dating someone. once at the venue, it doesn’t take him long to find the other, he’d recognize his loud voice anywhere. standing a good distance away, zarek can’t wipe the smile off his face as he watches him in awe– that was his boyfriend, how lucky was he? when things settle down a bit, the singer makes his move towards rimmy, approaching from behind. “ excuse me, can i get a photo with you, i’m a big fan. ”

               events like these were some of the best times to see jae rim in his prime. it wasn’t run by a company that he’s personally involved with, there was no need for him to act a particular way or stay completely sober so he could speak on stage. so, he was having fun. the only thing that could make this night better would be his boyfriend simultaneously appearing right next to him... given his residence in a whole other country, he settled on just sending the other a text with a few too many heart emojis. at this point in the night, the boy has had several glasses of champagne, and he’s feeling blissful. or maybe not quite blissful, because it’s doubtful that many blissful souls talk as loudly as he is right now. rimmy’s telling a story to several people, most of whom are strangers, and his loud voice seems to attract more as the overdramatic story goes on. afterward, everyone disperses and he ends up just watching the action of the event from the sidelines. he’d recognize the voice behind him anywhere, especially when his favorite pick-me-up was watching videos of that voice. without thinking, he turns to face his boyfriend and places his lips against his. arms find their way around his waist, pulling zarek close as he reluctantly ends the kiss.   ❝ your boyfriend know you’re here? ❞

dealing  with  idols  wasn’t  as  easy  as  mark  initially  thought.  packed  schedules,  non-stop  practicing,  inteviews  and  whatever  other  events  there  were,  were  keeping  the  younger  from  getting  on  the  plane  on  time.  but  mark  himself  was  a  day  late,  having  an  important  game.  jace  had  left  the  same  night  after  the  game,  together  with  hs  sister,  so  naturally,  he  was  stuck  waiting  for  the  younger  one  to  finish  off  his  schedule,  so  the  two  can  head  to  the  airport  ( hopefully  not  followed  by  a  ton  of  screaming  fans ),  to  finally  fly  to  new  york.  it’s  so  rare  for  the  families  to  gather  up  now,  once  in  a  blue  moon,  actually. it  was  exciting, thoug.

the  trip  itself  wasn’t  long,  sadly  the  two  were  still  running  late  and  had  to  ...  run  on  their  way.  the  rush,  however,  has  gotten  the  two  on  the  wrong  plane.  too  late  to  get  off,  there  was  no  chance  for  them  to  switch  any  time  soon,  only  when  the  plane  lands  in  paris.  now,  nobody  was  to  be  blamed,  even  though  a  lot  of  jokes  resurfaced  between  the  two  with  this  small  mistake. at  least, they  had  some  time  to  rest, catch  up  to  sleep  until  the  plane  would  land.

“ hey,  mini  mark! ”  the  older  called,  the  two  already  settled  in  a  hotel  room.  feeling  somewhat  drained  but  more  hungry,  mark  has  ordered  dinner,  since  it  was  almost  evening  and  the  plane  they  had  to  catch  was  taking  off  in  about  four  or  five  hours.  “ come  have  some  food. ”  only  when  he  noticed  the  way  the  food  was  arranged,  served  by  the  balcony  with  the  eiffel  tower  seen  in  the  distance,  did  he  gag.  “ hopefully  they  didn’t  take  us  for  a  couple. ”
