Ok ok, hear me out, I may have found the perfect face claim for a self insert
Shikada Kokonotsu from Dagashi Kashi might just be perfect, looks just as tired as I do IRL, and I might actually be able to find icons for him. Unless someone already has access to some, in which case, please
Either way, thoughts?

manga with art styles you find apealing
Houseki no Kuni is the obvious answer, because it's so so so striking. there's nothing else like it. Maiko-san Chi no Makanai-san is really cute, and i love the characters that Kotoyama draws (Yofukashi no Uta and Dagashi Kashi). Tatsubon is another author whose designs i adore. the art of PPPPPP is the only thing that manga has going for it lol but it certainly helps it stand out. CLAMP are similar in that regard but i maintain that their storytelling is at least a little better. Aya Azuma, also, as you might have noticed from all the Kasenposting. oh and Kouji Kumeta is one of my favorite manga artists. Shou Hikawa is also great, and far more obscure. finally, Tamamushi Oku is one of the most iconic yuri mangaka of the last decade

I have about 100 icons for Hotaru from Dagashi Kashi… they’re for an OC who’s actaully the love interest of Maseru, a cheerleader on Mugen Academy’s cheer squadron.
I’ve yet to unveil up to this point despite the fact she’s a pretty important character to this blog’s storyline.
