“Hello? Bucky said, tucking the phone he answered between his shoulder and ear. A small smile peeked on his face as he looked away from the files on his desk, staring instead out the window of his office.
“Hey, dad,” Y.n said, though her voice was hard to hear.  She was probably on speakerphone again while she was working. He chuckled and rolled his eyes. “Are you busy?”
“Nope,” he said, flipping closed the file on his desk and holding the phone properly in his hands. “What’s going on?”
There was a pause, and he furrowed his brows. “What did you do?” he asked, teasing.
A chuckle. “Why is it you think I did something wrong?” she asked.
“Well,” he started, “You called me while I’m at work, and you got home from school only…” he glanced at his watch, “Dang, didn’t you just get home?”
“Pshh. Can’t I just call my dad and tell him I love him?” she said, and Bucky grinned.
“Well, I mean, you can,” he said.
She laughed quietly. “Well, I am. I see how much faith you have in me.”
“Hey, c’mon, I have faith in you!” he objected. “You just like to test that faith sometimes!”
“Sure, sure.” She paused again, a sigh on her end and he began to wonder. She must have had a hard day to be calling like this. If she had to call him at work, she tried to be quick about it so it wouldn’t distract him or get him in trouble. He had tried to tell her he wouldn’t get in trouble considering the work he did, but she always insisted.
“We just had something come up in history class today, and it made me think of you,” she said. “You really are amazing…and I’m really lucky you’re my dad. I love you.”
Bucky’s heart swelled in his chest as a slow smile spread on his lips, smothering the mental exhaustion from the work he had to do. “I love you too, Sweetheart.”
“I was thinking of that time in the park when I was like…4? Maybe, no–I must have been 5. You…you picked me up on your shoulders and ran around while I was pretending to fly.”
“You remember that?” Bucky asked, surprised.
“And then how you’d…” she sighed. “You’d always give me the benefit of the doubt, and let me cuddle up in your arms when I was little, and you always give me hugs…” another sigh.  “I like your hugs.  They’re warm.”
Bucky chuckled, shaking his head a little. “I’ll give you one when I get home…”
“You’d better,” she said with a short laugh. “I–” she stopped and Bucky looked at his phone when she didn’t continue. The connection was fine.
“Hello? You there?” he asked.
“Yeah, sorry. I just love you, I guess…and I wanted you to know that,” she said, and Bucky’s heart melted.
“I love you too, sweetie. Gosh, you’re making me emotional,” Bucky said, adding a bit of teasing at the end. She was his baby girl. He didn’t understand the depth of connection a person could have to another until he held her in his arms for the first time.
“Hey, being emotional isn’t a bad thing sometimes,” she said and he hummed in agreement. “I have to go and finish homework now, so…I’ll talk to you later?”
“Alright,” he said, “I’ll finish up here and bring home pizza for dinner, okay?”
“That sounds amazing.”
“I love you.”
“Love you too, dad…”
“Bye.”
“...Goodbye.” Y.n stayed on the line until she heard the click of his phone as he hung up and the sound of a disconnected line followed.  Fresh tears slipped down her cheeks and dripped from her skin.  The droplets joined a pool of crimson red on the floor, swirling in spirals together until all that was left was a lighter shade of her blood.  She gasped for breath as she glanced over to her cellphone, 911 still open on speakerphone as the home landline rested in her hands with a loud beeping coming from its empty line.
“...The ambulance is just another minute away,” came a choked voice from her cellphone. His voice was desperate. “Hang in there.”
“I’m hanging on…” she said as her head lolled to the side, resting against her shoulder. Pain radiated from her side where her hands covered a deep wound—a couple of deep wounds— Jagged and torn open from a knife plunged into her flesh in a panic. Red covered her side, her fingers, the floor beneath her and she choked on her breath, coughing. The taste of iron spilled on her tongue, dripping from the corner of her lips.
The living room became dark as though hidden in an immense black fog. Several things were out of place, a lamp shattered on the floor from where the side table had fallen over. A vase. She followed the trail of blood from where she lay against the wall to the center of the room where another pool of blood laid with a chilling realism. She closed her eyes as the room began to spin, and she tried to force another breath in, but cried as it entered her lungs. Her hands shook, though she realized now they were incredibly cold.  She was freezing.
I like your hugs…they’re warm.
Another tear rolled down her skin. “Daddy?” a sharp breath, a sob. She waited as the sound of a disconnected line beeped over and over and over. The sound grew closer as her body slid from the wall, meeting the wooden floor in a final cold embrace. “Daddy?!”  The landline laid in front of her, and she stared at it as the rest of the room disappeared from her mind as a swash of black and gray. It was her only response, her only comfort. She cried at how distant it was. Beeeep, beeeeep, beeeeeeep.
“Daddy?!”
“The ambulance is right there,” the police dispatcher said, urging her to keep it together.
Beeeeeeeep. Beeeeeeeeeeeep. Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.
“Brooklyn Fire Department…We’re coming in!”
Beeeeeeeeeep. Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee—

Everyone makes mistakes:
DAD!BUCKY X DAUGHTER!READER
WARNINGS: Underaged drinking, car accident, death. Please let me know if I missed anything :)
A/N: Alright, so if you have seen my last post (like a year ago), I said that I will be solemnly posting stories on Wattpad. It went great, but kinda went downhill after a while - I became busy with school and when I had the time I just couldn't get myself to write something. But then like a week ago, I logged into my Tumblr account, and I missed the feeling of writing something down and being creative (because all I do now is study math and physics and that's not really being creative), so I thought why not start writing the requests that I never wrote?? So yeah, here is the first one in a while :)

I didn’t want to get into the car. I told them that like 20 times already, but do you expect drunk-out-of-their-mind people to listen to you - the “deadbeat” of the group, because you don’t like alcohol?
I used to like alcohol. LOVED it in fact. Until my dad had to come bail me out of jail, after a party had gone wrong. It wasn’t entirely my fault – I didn’t know the house wasn’t really the host’s house, but rather someone’s who was on vacation. The neighbors heard the music and yelling as our team won bear pong and called the police. When the police arrived, I was too drunk to register anything going on and some friends, my friends were – ran away without me and left me to be the only one to get arrested.
A few hours in jail can really help you sober up quickly, trying to gather your thoughts, because what are you going to tell your dad? Not even an hour later, my dad came to bail me out and I swore (while resting my head on the toilet seat and my dad holding my hair back) to never drink a sip of alcohol again if I could help it. Now I know most people say that, and the following night they’re at the new bar drinking like there’s no tomorrow – that wasn’t me: I declined the parties my “friends” invited me to and started spending more time with my dad – he is actually a really cool guy. This continued for a few weeks until my “friends” told me they didn’t want anything to do with me anymore, because I’ve changed. I have to say, I was truly happy with their decision.
I made new friends and was able to stick to my “no-drinking-promise” – but it became difficult because apparently you can’t have friends that don’t drink, leading to the predicament I find myself in at this very moment.
“Y/N will you just get in the freaking car?! We don’t have all night”.
“I’ve told you 20 times, now 21, I’m not getting into the car with you. You can’t even walk in a straight line!”
“Just GET IN!” My dad might be a super-soldier, but that doesn’t mean I inherited the strong gene, so it was rather easy for John (one of my friends) to man handle me into the back, squashing me against the left side window, as the rest of our friends piled in next to us. I prayed, I really prayed that I’d get home safe.
“Wouldn’t it be better if I drive? I know I only have my learners license, but you guys are accompanying me, so it’s not like I’m breaking the law. It’s better than all of us dying because you were drunk and driving”.
“I am fully capable of driving this car, Y/N” Melany said from the driver’s seat. I decided to shut my mouth and let her focus on the road, she didn’t need me and the alcohol distracting her.
“Turn up the music!!” Ethan yelled and everyone thought to cheer him on, as if he had said the coolest thing on earth.
“Don’t you think we should let Melany focus on the road, and maybe be quiet?” I suggested.
“Will you stop being such a deadbeat for once in your life, Y/N?” This time it was Sarah who spoke. She was the perfect student that everyone looked up to – perfect grades, happy family, rich parents, beach houses… you name it; but only we knew that it was all a façade – she studied day and night as an escape from her mom being permanently drunk and her dad permanently working. I guess that’s why her comment didn’t bother me as much as it should have, she is merely living out the life that was presented to her as an example.
“I’m sorry” I apologized.
We haven’t even been driving for more than five minutes, when Melany spoke again. “What is that bright light? It’s hurting my eyes, make it stop” she whined. Apparently drunk people are like insects attracted to light, because all my friends stared at the light in awe.
At first I wasn’t interested, I just rolled my eyes and stared out the window.
“Oh look, the light is moving towards us” Melany squealed, earning another eye roll from me, but I have to admit the curiosity got the better of me and I wanted to see what was so fascinating about a stupid light.
I wish I never looked – with the looking came the honking of a truck’s horn – a signal to move out of the way. But have you ever Googled what happens when people drink too much? My dad made me Google it the night he came to bail me out of jail; he forced me to read all the bad things that could happen to you when drinking irresponsibly – slowed reflexes, no filter for words spewing out of your mouth and sometimes even alcohol poisoning.
Right now, not even a horn could quicken Melany’s reflexes. Before I could even think of a plan to get her to swerve out of the way, the truck collided with us. Head on. We were flipping. Rolling. Flipping. Rolling. And flipping some more. When we finally came to a stop, I couldn’t see for a few seconds – everything was dark and blurry. It probably took me a few minutes to come to a realization of what just occurred.
“Okay Y/N. What would dad do in this situation?” I didn’t know what he would do and even if I did, I probably wouldn't be able to accomplish it. “Guys?” Silence. “Guys!” More silence. I didn’t like the silence – it made me hear my own heartbeat drumming in my ears. We were on a deserted road, little to no lampposts and no one ever driving down this road at this hour. I didn’t even know if the truck driver was alive, called the ambulance or just… drove away.
I slowly moved my arm, feeling pain shoot up into my shoulder, but I had to get a hold of my phone. Feeling my phone in my pocket, I just prayed it would still work. Slowly pulling it out, trying not to cause more pain to my shoulder, I saw the screen light up, and I could have cried tears of joy.
I didn’t want to call the police or the ambulance – I only wanted my dad. I pressed speed dial and not even 5 seconds later I heard my dad’s voice.
“Hey doll, where are you? I thought you would be home by eleven?”
“I-“ I didn’t know what to tell him. “I- uhm”
“Y/N, what’s wrong?”
“Hey, you promised never to call me Y/N unless I was in trouble” I tried to joke, maybe let out a laugh to let him know that I was okay and not busy bleeding somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Of course he heard the airy laugh. I wouldn’t be surprised if he could hear my heart beating like I could.
“Well, aren’t you?”
“What?”
“In trouble?”
“Have a little faith in me dad. I told you I’m not going to drink, and I stuck to my promise” I rasped out.
I heard some laughing in the background. “I’m sorry, am I disrupting you?”
“No, not at all, doll. Steve just came to hang out for a bit. But stop changing the subject, if you’re not in trouble, why are you calling me when you should have been home already?” I probably had to speed up the conversation, because I could feel myself getting dizzy, there was something wet dripping down my shoulder and forehead and no one was making a noise – I just hoped they’d be alive.
“Well, you see… uhm”.
“Spit it out. Do I have to come bail you out again? Because I swear Y/N I will…”
“I need you to come get me” I tried to stop the wobble in my voice, but it was useless. “I promise dad… I told them I didn’t want to, but they forced me and they were drunk and – and they’re not waking up and - “ a big sob escaped my mouth and I couldn’t keep it in any longer.
“What did they force you to do, Y/N?”  I could hear the panic in my dad’s voice. I heard him call Steve and I heard Steve’s worried voice ask what was wrong.
“Y/N, you need to breathe and tell me where you are so we can come get you” I focused on my breathing, trying to get myself to keep calm and get as comfortable as possible. I tried wiping the wetness of my forehead, that kept bugging me, but I caught the sight of crimson smudged on my hand. Stupidly, I smacked the same hand over my mouth to stop the scream from pouring out, but my dad heard the muffled scream.
“Doll, breathe. I can’t help you if you don’t talk to me”.
“I – there’s blood!” I wanted to wake up from this horrible nightmare.
“Y/N, answer me damnit! Where are you?”
“I don’t know” I was trying so hard to get air into my lungs. “We were driving back home from the party – “
“We… I… we’re on an abandoned road, there are almost no lampposts, there are no houses, there…” That’s all I know” I cried out, because how were they going to find me if I didn’t even know where I was.
Dad’s voice came from the other side. “We’ll search in the perimeters of the party’s address.”
“Please don’t hang up!”
“I’m going to hand the phone over to Steve, I have to focus on the road. Just keep talking to him, sweetheart.”
“We’ll be there soon, honey. Ten minutes, tops” Steve tried to ease my nerves.
I didn’t speak to any one of them after that, but it comforted me, knowing that they were there, just a call away and maybe just a few minutes away.
Eight minutes later, Steve said he was going to hang up and I cried and pleaded with him not to but got interrupted by the “end call” button. Before I could even think about cursing him out, or being mad at him and my dad, I heard my name being called.
“Here!” Was all I could seem to manage, but luckily they heard me. “Steve come help me get her out!” Soon Steve was forcing the door open and holding it as my dad, gently pulled me out of the wreck and into his chest.
“It’s okay, you’re okay. I’m here. You’re safe. You’re alive.” My dad whispered in my ear, gently swaying me side-to-side. Sobs wracked my chest and the tears couldn’t stop flowing – my dad didn’t seem to care that his shirt was a mess of blood and tears.
“My – my friends”
My dad and Steve surreptitiously looked at each other until my dad nodded for Steve to get them out of the car. I think they knew something I didn’t, because when they were all safely outside the wreck, Steve had a confirmed look on his face as he searched for a pulse at each of them but didn’t find a single one.
“No! They’re fine, feel again!” I yelled at Steve. He wasn’t a doctor; he couldn’t call time of death.
“Y/N, doll, listen to me, Steve already checked – “
“ – Well he should check again! He’s wrong!”
To settle my mind, Steve searched for a pulse at each of them and once again turned to look at me with a sad smile.
“No. NO! No, no, no…” My “no’s” were getting quieter and my knees were getting weaker. “no, no…no” the last “no” came out chocked, and my dad caught me as my knees finally buckled and we sank to the floor. I couldn’t take the weight of their death. They were my friends, and even though they made some stupid decisions tonight, they didn’t deserve this. Everyone makes mistakes every once in a while. My dad ran his hand up and down my back, trying to ease some warmth and calmness into my skin and bones.
“Doll, I’m gently going to pick you up and take you to my car”.
“My shoulder. My friends” I kept seeming to forget my friends were dead.
“I’ll be careful of your shoulder. We’ll get it checked out and fixed at home. Right now, I just need you need to breathe with me. Focus on my breathing and everything will be sorted out. You don’t need to worry your head about anything right now, except breathing”
“My friends”
“We’ll get someone to come and get them. I promise”
My dad gently laid me down on the backseat of his car and a few moments later he got into the driver’s side and Steve got in next to me. Unfortunately, when my dad started the car, I was panicking. “No, I don’t want to be in a car. Please! Dad, don’t drive, I’m begging you!”
Steve gently scooted closer to me and enveloped me into a hug, I didn’t even realize we were driving, until we got home. Steve carried me out of the car as my dad ran ahead of us, opening the front door, grabbing blankets, and throwing them onto the couch. Steve gently put me down on the couch, but told me to keep sitting up, because they needed me to stay awake. Apparently, I can’t do that when I’m laying down.
My dad already called one of the doctors (while we were driving) from the infirmary to come check on me and do everything that he deemed necessary. My dad plopped himself down next to me, getting ready to keep me awake until the doctor gave orders that I could close my eyes.
After five minutes of the doctor’s presence, I decided that I didn’t like him. He kept telling me to “keep those eyes open” and “don’t fall asleep on me now”, while prodding at my injuries. Then he decided that pulling out the glass in my shoulder and stitching the wound up, was absolutely necessary and then he thought that shining the brightest light of all time in my eyes, would make me happy. My dad held my hand the entire time – gave it a squeeze when I winced or rubbed his thumb up and down when I squeezed my eyes shut due to the pain.
When the doctor finally left, my dad used a washcloth to wipe some sweat and dirt from me and handed me my pyjamas. He didn’t want to leave me alone for in case I felt dizzy (because the doctor said that’s what concussions can do), so he just turned around and kept his hand outstretched towards me, so I’d have something to grab onto if I felt like falling.
Afterwards, he helped me lay down under the covers and gently tucked me in as Steve brought me some biscuits, water and painkillers. It was difficult to fall asleep after everything that had happened tonight, but my dad reassured me that we’d take it day-by-day, one step at a time.
He would be there when I had to attend my friends’ funerals. He’d be there when I had to go for my check-up appointment at the doctor that wouldn’t let me sleep. And he’d be there when the terrible nightmares woke me up from my slumber.

I just saw a skating show and one of the guys looked like bucky and now I NEED a yn × figure skating partner bucky one shot. With them working on a throw and he's all mad she can't land it then gets hurt and all the angst and comforting. Omg please I'll cry I love you! ❤️
Ok, I have to admit this was my first ask and I got so excited that this got a little away from me. I'd like to say I'm sorry for not putting much technical stuff about figure skating in it but I know really nothing, I did my best researching stuff but it's still not much. I hope you're happy how it turned out, if not let me know! I really just took it and ran with it, I really hope you like it. 🥹❤️
also, sorry it took me a little but my keyboard broke and I had to wait for the new one because writing on the phone I would've made too many mistakes.
On Thin Ice - Bucky Barnes x y/n Stark

Being a Stark wasn’t always easy. Now don’t get me wrong, it’s not like you’re superheroes or anything, but being the daughter of Tony Stark meant that you always had to be not only on your best behavior but you had to be the best in general, no matter what you were doing. It’s always been a lot of pressure growing up, but it was something you were used to at this point, all your life there just wasn’t room for failure. When you were little you hated it, sometimes even hated your dad for it, but you had to give it to him that it made you detail oriented and more driven and focused than most, so with time you came to be grateful for it. His continuous badgering you into taking various lessons as a kid is also what led you to discover your passion: figure skating.
Skating was something that just somehow came naturally to you, and the more time you spent at the ice rink the more you fell in love with it. You loved just spending hours going and going, to the point where the world blurred around you and you almost felt like you were flying. After seeing how happy it made you, your father eased up a bit on you, but he still expected perfection from you, which you always worked hard to provide. All you’ve always wanted was to make him proud of you, which he was and never failed to mention, but you were still terrified of disappointing him. All the pressure your last name came with was nothing compared to the pressure you put on yourself, you were always your hardest critic.
That is, at least, until you met Bucky Barnes.
You didn’t know why, maybe he just hated you and liked to humiliate you, but it seemed like he always had something to say about your performances.
It all started the very first day you met, you were 18 at the ice rink your father decided to buy for you on your birthday the week before. You were shocked to say the least when he told you, but he had always been better at showing his love rather than saying it, and don’t ever let it be said that Tony Stark didn’t love his daughter to death. It was the same place where you skated for the first time when you were merely 5 years old, which was then changed for one closer to your home, but this one held so much more sentiment for you that the extra travel time was worth it, and it was also much bigger, the place where a lot of the important competitions happened.
The Saturday after your birthday you finally had some free time having just finished exams week and finally being done with high school once and for all, so you planned to meet up with Natasha at the newly named ‘Stark’s snowland’. Natasha was also a figure skater and you two have known each other since you were 8 years old, participating in almost a lot your competitions together, which usually ended with the two of you in first and second place, then Natasha started doing more and more couples competitions with various partners, but you were still always there to cheer for each other.
When she texted she was running late, you decided to just wait for her on the ice so you went inside, put on your skates and just got lost in your head, glad that the early hour meant nobody was around yet. Then, after having done a few easy moves and having just finished an Axel, you heard some clapping coming from the entrance of the rink. You stopped abruptly and looked for the source of the noise when you spotted a brunette cheering on you like he was at the Olympics standing beside a blonde that looked kind of embarrassed by his friends' antics.
-didn’t realize I had an audience- you said, while moving towards them.
-well you should with the way you move out there- the brunette said, shamelessly checking you out, shortly before receiving a smack behind his head, courtesy of blondie.
-sorry about him. My name’s Steve- he said while you tried hard not to laugh at the look his friend was giving him -and this jerk here is Bucky- he pointed at his friend, who seemed to remember you were there because he turned to you with a charming smile while you introduced yourself.
-is this your first time skating here?- Bucky asked -I’m sure I would remember a pretty face like yours- he then added, making you blush.
-I usually only come here for competitions, but- before you could finish talking you heard the door behind them open and Natasha screaming -Stark!- making the boys turn around to look at her.
-Romanoff- you greeted her, laughing. Bucky turned back to you, face suddenly all serious, which confused you a lot since he was all flirty smiles until two seconds before, mumbled something about having to go and almost ran away as fast as he could.
You looked at Steve who seemed as confused as you felt, gave you an apologetic smile and went after his friend.  You didn’t have much more time to ponder on the sudden turn of events because Natasha was in her skates on record time and raring to go. All you know is, for the rest of the day you felt Bucky’s eyes on you but every time you turned to him he had a stoic look on his face, and every word out of his mouth towards you was criticism on whatever you were doing. And here we are now, 6 years later and nothing has changed.
Now 24 and having graduated college, you can be found at Stark’s almost everyday while you figure out the next phase of your life. It’s honestly not bad, your dad wanted you to intern for him at Stark’s Industries during college so, after you graduated, you could start working for him full time, but that’s not what you wanted. If you’re honest with yourself you do want to take over your father’s empire one day, just not yet. You wanted to keep doing skating competitions so all the free time that you had during college was spent skating, so, as a compromise, your dad had you teach a few kid classes during the week when one of the teachers unexpectedly quit one day, and you happily agreed. You did this for all the duration of college, after graduating you kept doing it and, to your father’s delight, took on even more classes to keep you a bit more occupied.
It was at the end of one of these classes that you were suddenly approached by Barnes today, which was very rare. Usually both of you did your best to avoid each other, even when you started being there everyday, you wouldn’t give each other even a second glance. You’ve liked him when you first met him, but after months of him being nothing but an ass to you, you decided to stop trying and largely ignore him unless you were in a larger group that consisted of you, him, Steve, Natasha, Sam (another friend of theirs, that you quickly became friends with) and Scott, a friend you made your first week of college.
Needless to say, you were baffled to see Bucky walk up to you and not immediately insult your behavior during the lesson that just ended, like he usually does when he gifts you with his presence, but instead he said -Hey Stark, can we talk?-
-Uhm… sure. What’s up, Barnes?- you said while starting to put down the cones you would need for your next class.
-you know the couples competition that we’re having here in a few months?- he asked, following behind you. You thought he looked nervous, which you found weird as Bucky Barnes is as confident as they come.
-yeah, what about it?- you stop what you’re doing, too curious to not give him all your attention.
-well, I wanted to sign up, but it seems like I’m missing a partner- he says while rubbing his neck, almost embarrassed by what he’s asking.
-don’t you usually team up with Nat?- you ask him.
-I do, but she’s gonna be out of town that day, and all the other girls are either paired up or not interested…- he explains, still not going to the point.
-where are you going with this, Barnes?- you asked, crossing your arms in irritation at the time he was wasting while you still had things to do before your class.
-are you really going to make me ask?- he almost whined and, when you merely arched your eyebrow, a clearly amused face at his almost desperation, he finally got the point of his interruption. -fine. Will you be my partner?-
Although you suspected where he was going, it was still a little shocking to hear him ask. Before you answered him though, you felt the need to tell him -you know I’ve never done pairs before, right? Not even outside of competitions.-
-I know, but I also know you’re a fast learner.- at your confused look, he elaborates -You’ve been training here for what, six years now? I’ve seen you learn pretty advanced moves in a crazy short amount of time for last minute competitions or even just for fun. And, whether I like it or not, you’re one of the best figure skaters I’ve ever met.- he finishes.
That last sentence has you scoffing at him and starting to get annoyed at him -you don’t need to lie to me just to get me to agree just because you’re desperate for a partner.-
-why would you think I’m lying?- he says while having the audacity to look confused at my anger.
-you do nothing but criticize me all the time! The real question is, why would I ever think otherwise?-
-Just because I criticize you, doesn’t mean I don’t think you’re good!- he said it like was the most obvious thing in the world. -please Y/N, I really need a partner, and, right now, you’re my only choice. Please.- he added at the end, just for good measure.
To be fair, Bucky had never been this polite or patient with you, and has never even called you by your first name, so it was clear that this was important to him, which is probably what led you to say yes. He seemed happy for all of two seconds before going back to being the usual jerk, which made you instantly start to regret your decision, but you figured old habits die hard, you just had to be a little patient and he would get easier to work with the more he got used to this.
Boy, were you wrong.
For the next three months you met with Bucky three times a week, working out your routine and training sometimes even for hours. It wasn’t anything you hadn’t done before, but what really annoyed you to no end was finding out that Bucky’s favorite brand of training seemed to be complaining. All he did was criticize every move you made, right or wrong, even the couples ones you were still learning. You also found out the fact that being so close to him for such long periods of time made you clumsier than ever, which did not at all help the situation. All it took was for you to be near him enough to be surrounded by his cologne and suddenly you were falling more than usual, missing your cues and straight up forgetting the next steps of the routine, which only gave Bucky more fuel to add to the fire. It also didn’t help that whenever Bucky asked you why you were so distracted you lost all your Stark brand of sarcasm and could barely get out a sound, not knowing how to tell him even if you wanted to, which you definitely didn’t, that he was the problem.
You somehow made it through it and, with a week to go before the competition, you had it down to a T. Or almost.
-damn it- you say, frustrated with yourself, after you almost fall again on the landing of the throw jump. The problem with throw jumps is that Bucky has to pick you up and quite literally throw you in the air and, while he does that quite easily, being so close to him right before he throws you disorients you just enough to miss twists and fumble the landing. A thing that you’d never tell Bucky, which at the moment is giving the most annoyed look you’ve ever seen on his stupidly pretty face.
-seriously, Stark?!- hey almost yells while skating closer to you -why the hell is this taking you so long to get right? You’ve done harder things than this both by yourself and with me, so what the hell is wrong with you?- like always, you don’t quite know how to respond to him, not even wanting to acknowledge the cause of your concentration problem.
-let’s just try again- you say, quieter than you normally would, and get in position. Your back is turned to him but you can hear him sigh before you feel him move and position himself next to you. You nod to Scott who’s controlling the music, and he starts again. Everything is going great, until, again you fumble the landing, but this time you fall on your knees. You can hear Scott shouting your name, so you hold a thumbs up to let him know you’re okay. You can see Bucky getting closer to you with your peripheral vision, but don’t look up or even try to make a move to get up.
You can feel the tears starting to form in your eyes, not because it hurts, but because you’re so frustrated with yourself for not being able to do this. You’re trying your hardest not to cry out of anger when you see Bucky’s hand in front of your face, a silent offer of help. The last thing you want to do right now is look at his stupid face, so you slap his hand away and get up on your own, ignoring Bucky almost altogether and putting yourself in position to start again from the top. Bucky comes behind you, but this time you can feel him looking at you while he says. -we don’t have to go again, we can stop here for today.- much quieter than he’s ever been, which only fuels your anger more.
-the competition’s next week Barnes, unless you want us to make fools of ourselves, we need to do this until I get it right.- you snapped, letting him see your anger for the first time since you started training.
He was a little shocked but didn’t say anything else while he got in position, signaling to Scott to start the music. All you can think about at this point is the disappointment on your dad’s face if you don’t win the competition, or worse fall like you just did. You’re not even focused on Bucky anymore, in fact you’re so distracted that you don’t even make it to the throw jump before you fall, except this time you can feel that something’s wrong as soon as you hit the ice. You can feel pain shoot from your ankle through your whole body and get immediately dizzy, you could barely make out the lights on the ceiling, your eyes going in and out of focus. You could hear yelling and, once you concentrated, you could make out some of Bucky saying words like ‘stupid’ and ‘incompetent’, which made you wish you had just passed out so you wouldn’t have to hear him insult you.
Your mind seemed to clear a little and you realized your tears finally started falling at some point, but you didn’t have much time to ponder on that before you were being helped to your feet, Scott telling you he was taking you to the hospital and everything was going to be okay. You realized Bucky was no longer next to you before you even realized you didn’t have skates on anymore and were barefoot, but you just assumed he was too mad at you to care about your ankle.
You’re in a hospital bed with a stomp on your left foot when your dad walks in, worry all over his face.
-hey junior, are you okay?- you roll your eyes at his nickname, surely you don’t expect Tony Stark to be any less sarcastic seeing you well enough, but you’ve begged him to drop the stupid nickname which he refuses to because ‘but you’re just like me, that’s a compliment!’ -I’m okay dad, just have to wear this for a few days.- you say, pointing to your foot on a pillow.
-good. Wanna tell me what happened?- he asked, taking a seat beside your bed.
-Just landed wrong while practicing the routine with Barnes. Too distracted, kept fucking up landings.- you told him, not daring to look in his eyes.
-pushing yourself too hard?- he surprised you with this question, but you promptly answered -if I was, I would’ve been able to land all my moves correctly. If anything I’m not pushing myself hard enough.- You couldn’t look at his face just to see the disappointment at your failure, but when you felt his hand on yours you forced yourself to look into his eyes, and, to your surprise, there was no hint of disappointment.
-you know, sweetheart, I do mean it when I say you’re just like me. And there is nothing more heartbreaking to me than looking at you and seeing the same self-destructive tendencies I have reflected on you.- he wiped a tear you hadn’t realized was falling from your cheek and kept going. -I hate that I passed that on to you. I should’ve been more careful with you. I thought that letting you know I was proud was enough, unlike my dad, but maybe I should’ve been more specific.-
-what do you mean?- you asked, sniffling a bit.
-I’m not proud of you because you always come first in competitions, or because you get the highest grades. I’m proud of you because I know you always try your best and put all of yourself into everything you do. That’s what being a Stark is all about. Plus you’re my daughter so let’s be honest, I’d love you to death even if you were a high school dropout who deals fake drugs to college kids.-
You laughed while drying your tears, grateful for your father’s inability to stay serious for too long. You hugged him and said -thanks dad. I needed that more than I thought- you let go of him and told him about the real reason you couldn’t concentrate: the long-haired asshole with eyes so blue you felt like you were flying in the sky while looking at them, and like you were drowning the second he opened his mouth to say shit about you. Of course you didn’t put it on those exact terms, but your dad was pretty great at reading between the lines. By the end he had a smirk that made you want to legally change your name and run away because you just know he’s never going to let you live this down.
-well sounds like he’s really something- that’s all he says, weirdly. You eye him suspiciously but he doesn’t add to his sentence.
In fact, he doesn’t say anything more about it until he’s helped you get comfortable on your bed back home. -you know…- he starts -little boys pull little girls’ pigtails on the playground to get their attention, because they don’t know what else to do.- he says.
-yeah, boys are stupid, so what?- he laughs and surprisingly says -exactly. Maybe you’re not the only one that feels something here. Maybe there’s a stupid boy that can’t take his eyes off of you, but doesn’t know how to get your attention other than criticize you.- he says, clearly happy with where we ended.
-Is this your long way of saying that you think Bucky likes me the same way I like him?- you raise your eyebrow at him.
-This is my long way of saying don’t be a stubborn Stark and try actually talking to him about this. You’d be surprised how fast stupid boys grow up just to keep the girl they want. Just ask your mother.- and with that he left, leaving you wondering how much more immature Tony Stark could’ve been to have to grow up just to sweep Pepper Potts off her feet.
You spend the next few days as a little ball of anxiety on your bed, not being able to do much but overthink about Bucky, only getting a break when Scott came to keep you company. The day before the competition you had enough and convinced Scott to drive you to the ice rink, knowing Bucky was probably there. When you got there you could hear music but you didn’t think much of it until you got to right in front of the door and realized it was the song you and Bucky chose. Frowning, you opened the door and what you saw made your jaw drop.
There they were, Bucky and Natasha, doing your routine. You don’t know when you got closer to the rink, but you could not take your eyes off of them, or that is until you heard someone beside you say -they’re good, aren’t they?- you turned your head to see Sam and Steve, the latter looking at you in a knowing way that almost seemed apologetic of Sam’s words, the effect of which Sam didn’t seem to notice. You always felt like Steve could see right through you when it came to Bucky, always looking at you like he knew exactly how you felt and how much his words hurt you.
Seemingly reading all the questions swimming in your mind right now, Steve offers you some answers. -Natasha came back early from her vacation. He brought her up to speed and she agreed to help him out. They’ve been practicing non-stop everyday since the day after you got hurt- feeling like you had enough information, you turned back to the ice.
Watching them work in sync, almost like they were connected by wires and one couldn’t move without taking the other with them. You watched as Bucky picked up Nat effortlessly and threw her like she was made of air. You watched as she moved so gracefully that it was almost surreal. You saw her land every jump perfectly. Again. And again. And again. Every jump, every twist, every second you watched them something inside you broke. You don’t know why, Natasha has been Bucky’s partner countless times before and it never mattered to you, and you’ve only skated with him for less than four months. Maybe it was the fact that they were using the routing you and Bucky had come up with together, maybe you felt replaced. Maybe it was the fact that you were coming here to talk to Bucky about your feelings and now you were seeing him flying around the ice rink as close with another girl as he was with you, maybe even more.
They finish the routine and you can hear Bucky’s laughter, you can see his smile as he tells Natasha how perfect she was, how impressed he was at how fast she picked everything up, how glad he was that she showed up when she did. Then it hits you. Of course he’s glad she showed up. He never wanted to do this with you, you weren’t even a second choice, it took literally every other girl he knows to be unavailable for him to even think to ask you. Why wouldn’t he be happy to have her back? He certainly never acted like this with you. He never laughed, barely even smiled. He didn’t choose you, he got stuck with you.
Suddenly it’s like everything he’s ever done, everything he’s ever said to you comes crashing down on you all at once. It’s like you can actually hear your heart breaking and there’s only one thought on your mind: He likes Natasha. It makes sense, the first day you met he seemed into you, right up until he saw her and the second he turned around he was done with you. Maybe he started to be an ass just to make that clear, not wanting to actually say anything. After all, he always was very nice to Nat, to everyone but you really. And it’s not like you could blame him, Natasha’s always been better than you. Growing up she was always your only competition, it’s a fortune you ended up friends really, considering how easy it could’ve been for you to hate each other. She’s the reason you spent so much time trying to be better, and you’d like to say it was the same for her, but you doubt it very much. She’s always been prettier, thinner, stronger, smarter, better with boys and at making friends. She was the obvious choice. Of course she was Bucky’s choice.
You didn’t realize you were so deep in your thoughts, or that you were still staring at them, until you felt a hand on your shoulder and heard Sam’s worried voice asking if you were okay. You looked at Steve and Sam and all you wanted to do was get out of there, it was already a miracle you weren’t crying. Without saying a word you turned around and walked away as fast as you could with the damn stump on your foot. You weren’t fast enough, because halfway to the door you heard Bucky’s voice, much too close to you to your liking, calling your name.
For a second you thought you heard something seeming happiness in his voice, but quickly dismissed the idea and tried to keep going, but then you felt his hand on your wrist turning you around to face him. His face seems to instantly fall as he looks at you and all you can think about is how sick you are of being the only one that takes his smile away. -what’s wrong?- he asks in a weirdly soft tone, but you can’t find the voice to answer him. You two just stare at each other until you hear someone clear their throat behind Bucky, and you look over his shoulder just as Natasha starts talking.
-Hi, Stark. Heard what happened to you.- she nodded towards your foot -sorry I haven’t been to visit you, we’ve been pretty busy-
You don’t look at her while you answer, turning your eyes back to Bucky, who’s still holding your wrist, while you say -I can see that. Don’t worry, Romanoff, I’m just glad Barnes finally has a partner that’s not incompetent- all he does is stare confusedly at you, which makes you angry enough to yank your hand away from him, turn around and walk away, ignoring the calls of your name behind you.
You miss the sadness on Bucky’s face, or the way he questions Sam and Steve about everything you said and did since the second you entered. Bucky, on the other hand, did not miss the tears starting to fall from your eyes as you turned away.
You decided not to go to the competition the following day. It would be the first time you voluntarily miss one of Nat’s competitions, but you don’t feel like having a replay of yesterday’s show when it’s already been on replay in your mind all night. Your absence doesn’t go unnoticed by your friends. Nat and Steve being the only ones that understand, even though they’re not very happy about it. Another thing that doesn’t go unnoticed by the group is how much more agitated than normal Bucky seems to be. Even during competitions, he’s usually very calm, but today the only thing that makes him stop pacing around the room is Natasha’s sharp ‘would you sit down’ that makes him sigh and sit next to her on the bleachers where they’re waiting for their turn.
He can’t seem to keep his body still as he starts to bounce his leg up and down out of nerves, and can’t seem to stop even when the redhead gets up abruptly with an exasperated ‘for the love of god’ and goes to sit further from him and near Sam, exchanging seats with Steve that puts a hand on Bucky’s shoulder, effectively bringing out of his head and making his body still with another sigh.
-you know, you don’t have to do this if you don’t want to- Steve tells his anxious friend.
-you know I have to Steve, otherwise Fury wont let me do other couples competitions.-
-I know, but the whole reason you started doing them was for the chance to pair up with Y/N, which never even happened until now- Steve said, frowning.
-I’m not the one that assigns the pairs, Rogers, it’s always Fury. He’s the whole reason Romanoff and I worked so hard this week just so she could do this. Plus Y/N’s never been interested in these competitions so this whole idea was just stupid to begin with. Now after I finally convince her, she gets hurt and thinks I think she’s incompetent, for some reason.- Bucky hasn't been able to stop thinking about what you said yesterday. Why would you ever think he thinks you're incompetent? He knows he's been a dick to you for years, but never has he ever said you were incompetent. It's really just constructive criticism given in a poor way. A very poor way. Yeah, he really just has himself to blame for the way you feel about him now, he knows it. He doesn't even really have a justification for it, either. If he's being honest with himself, he's intimidated by you. The first time he saw you he thought you were the most beautiful girl he's ever seen, you were so graceful on skates and looked like you were exactly where you belong, lost in your own little world. Then when Natasha said your name, he realized who he was talking to: the daughter of one of the richest families in town. He'd heard a lot about you and your family, your impressive achievements on and off the ice. He's ashamed to say he felt small all of a sudden, knowing just from hearing about you that he'd never be good enough for you. Still, he couldn't help but be drawn to you, couldn't help but watch you as much as he could get away with, but the only way he could justify that without being seen as a creep was to criticize what you did. It made sense, right? Bucky was pulled from his thoughts, again, by Steve’s voice.
-well, you were basically yelling that at her when she got hurt last week- at his words Bucky was as confused as he was yesterday when you stormed out.
-I didn’t…- then it hit him. -I wasn’t talking about her! I was talking about Scott because he wouldn’t hurry up!-
-Oh. Listen, buddy, we both know you like her. You fucked up, big time, and it’s gonna take a lot to get her to forgive you. You could start by stop being an ass to her and apologize.- Bucky knew the blonde was right. It would take a miracle just to get you to look in his direction, let alone allow him to apologize, but he had to at least try to make things right.
He stood up, startling Steve, and said -you were there for all our rehearsals, right? You know the routine?-
Steve was confused, but answered with a slow -yeah, why?- but Bucky gave no further explanation, too busy picking up all his stuff, and when Steve put together what his friend was hinting at, he said -I didn’t mean right now!-
-No time like the present! Go change- he said, nudging Steve toward the changing rooms. -Buck if you go now Fury’s gonna kill you!-
-I don’t care!- he yelled basically running out the door, ignoring Natasha yelling his name, the only thing on his mind being running to you as fast as he could.
Every thought in his head, though, was instantly forgotten as he came to a sudden stop at the top of the stairs outside of the rink. There, at the bottom, was you, looking just as shocked at seeing him there as he felt. After a few moments of just looking at each other, you couldn’t take it anymore and decided to break the silence.
-I didn’t know if I should come in. Didn’t know if Nat wanted my support after I was so rude, you know.- when he doesn’t say anything and just stares at you, you feel the need to keep going. -what are you doing out here? Did I miss your turn? How did it go?- that seems to snap him out of it, he starts to move towards you, still not saying anything and making you even more nervous as you start regretting coming here. When he comes face to face with you, finally, he speaks.
-I was gonna come looking for you- your brows furrowed in confusion -why?-
-I have owed you an apology for a long time now. I’m sorry for being a dick to you for all these years… it really wasn’t about you. I just felt insecure and acted out about it, and eventually I felt so used to it I couldn’t help it.- you were shocked to say the least, this was the last thing you were expecting tonight. -you felt insecure? Why?-
-Because you’re you!- he almost yelled, gesturing to your whole body and scaring you a bit. -I mean you’re a Stark, you’re kind of a legend who lives up to the legend. You’re smart and talented and confident and beautiful. I never thought I’d be good enough for you, I still don’t.- you didn’t know what to say, but you weren’t running for the hills so Bcuky kept talking. -I’d also like to make it clear that I’ve never called you incompetent. I was talking about Lang, that idiot took ages to get his keys to drive you to the hospital. I didn’t even realize you might’ve heard me until Steve pointed it out to me just now while we were waiting our turn and I just had to find you and tell you.-
Once everything he said actually registered in your brain, the words came out of your mouth before you could stop them. -wait, you left the competition to come find me? Natasha’s gonna kill you!- he chuckled a little while saying, -I’d be more worried about Fury.-
-Fury? Why would you be worried about Fury?-
-He’s gonna be pissed that I left. He’s the whole reason Romanoff and I trained so hard to make it here, I wanted to skip it after you got hurt, but he said if I did he wouldn’t let me do any more pairs.- You were more confused than ever.
-I thought this competition was important to you, that’s the whole reason I said yes. And you wanted to quit it?-
-it was important because it was my chance to finally spend time with you- he said, like it was the most obvious thing in the world -I’d rather not do our routine at all if I can’t do it with you- he adds, shrugging.
-really?- you couldn’t help but smile at hearing him say ‘our routine’ -you and Nat work much better than you and I do-
-perphabs, but I still think you’re the best there is. Even when it’s with me, a person you hate- he says the last part while looking at his feet, almost afraid of saying it aloud and perfectly aware that he’s the reason why.
-I don’t hate you.- you say, almost too fast. His eyes snap back up to yours. -You don’t? I mean, I wouldn’t blame you if you did. I’d hate me if I were you.-
-sure, I don’t always love the things you say about my skills, but you’ll never criticize me more than I criticize myself. Mostly, you’re just a distraction.- you say shrugging, not fully realizing what you just confessed.
-I distract you?- he says with a smug smirk that kind of makes you want to punch him, bringing his hand to your cheek. You groan but let him keep it there, loving the feeling of his warm skin against yours. -don’t get cocky with me, Barnes- he laughs, but doesn’t say anything else waiting for you to elaborate with an expectant look.
-fine- you sigh -yes, you distract me. You might be a jerk, but I can’t concentrate when I’m around you. All I can think about is the sound of your voice, and the way you smell and the color of your stupid pretty eyes. I can’t help but like you, no matter how much of an asshole you are to me, for reasons I’m sure have something to do with my father.-
He laughs again at your last sentence and you swear you’d never heard a better sound. -so I guess I should be thankful for you daddy issues, huh.- he says making you laugh with him. -yeah, you very much should be.- you put your arms around his neck when his hand drops from your face and his arms wrap around your waist.
-you distract me too, you know. Everytime you’re in the room you’re all I can see. I’ll never apologize enough for all the things I said to you, but let me try. Let me take you on a date, for starters.- you pretend to think about it all of two seconds before you’re nodding, so he adds -what about right now?-
-slow down there, Romeo, why don’t we go cheer on our friends first- you giggled at his pout while you took his hand and led the way inside. When you took a seat next to Sam, just in time to hear the announcement of Natasha and Steve’s names, there was no wiping the smile off of Bucky’s face, his arm going immediately around your shoulders to bring you closer as you greeted Sam that had a knowing grin of his own. They watched their friends go through the routine perfectly, to your joy and surprise, you really were proud of them, and you made sure to tell them when they were close enough to the edge of the ice while waiting for their score.
-maybe after we can all go out to eat something- Steve suggested, still slightly out of breath.
-I’m sorry punk, I have a date that I’m not missing for anything in the world- Bucky answered without taking his eyes away from you, his smile seared onto his face. Steve chuckled at how whipped his friend already was, moving closer to the judges with Nat when it was time for their scores. Second place, not bad for a last minute thing. As you cheered for your friends while they were given their medals, Bucky leaned down and whispered in your ear -we would’ve come first-
You burst laughing and Bucky knew at that moment that he would’ve done anything to hear that sweet sound for the rest of his life. You look up at him and raise your voice just enough for him to hear over all the screaming, with a smile big enough to match his -we totally would’ve-

Three Weeks.
“Dad?!” You ran towards the ship that landed in your back garden, your dad stood there with Pepper in his fragile arms. He lifted his head, a sigh of relief as he watched you getting closer. His little girl is safe. “Where’s Pete?” His expression changed within an instant, he scanned every inch of your face for a sign. Your eyes were red and puffy. Your face is slimmer than when he last saw you. Thankfully, not as slim as he had gotten. He watched your eyes flickering between the ship, himself and Nebula. He knew you’d already lost one brother, now, he’s witnessing your realisation of losing the other.
“I’m sorry, kid.” He whimpered as your eyes began to tear up as you looked into his own. Within a second, Steve had you nestled into his chest. Not another one, you didn’t think your mind or body could handle any more grief. As soon as your face hit Steves's chest and your body collapsed in his arms, for what felt like the millionth time in three weeks, you let out an uncontrollable scream. Your knees gave way, Steve did not let you fall. Instead, he lifted you and carried you back to your room in the compound.
Once in your room, Steve lay you down on your bed. He didn’t want to leave you, he had watched you grow up since you were 16, from a smart teenager with more compassion than himself at times. To, a resourceful, understanding young woman. He wanted to protect you more now than ever. Shield you away so nothing more could hurt you. Your dad felt the same, it was painful for him to watch Steve carry you to your room instead of him. His weak frame makes it difficult to keep himself up, never mind you.
Your room was like any other basic grey bedroom at the compound. However, you had Vision help you drape fairy lights and ivy all over the walls. Polaroids attached to the strings with clothing pegs, and images of you with various team members looking down at you. Over the last three weeks, if you weren’t crying, you were looking over all these photos. Remembering each loved one as they were and hoping you’ll see them again.
It broke your heart for years that you were never able to add your joyful times with Bucky to your walls. Those were kept in a locked box inside your wardrobe. Polaroids of cuddles in a hut, Bucky throwing around hay with only one arm, even a few x-rated ones which you hoped to Odin no one else ever saw. They were all of Bucky, the ones of yourself were kept with him in Wakanda. And, then there were your letters. There have been a few nights since they all vanished that you’ve fallen asleep surrounded by his handwriting.
Steve stayed with you until your sobs had stopped and you cried yourself to sleep. You didnt hear him leave, your dreams clouded with memories. Memories of Bucky. Even in your sleep, you could not hide your love and grief for him.
Meet Cute.
You sat in the office watching over the security cameras with Steve, not believing they were treating another human this way. He was locked within a box, strapped down. All he had was a table and a chair in front of it. And, it wasn’t even for him to use. Some interrogator was sat there, asking him questions about his home. You were listening to everything.
You rose to your feet when the power went out, following Steve and Sam to find Bucky. Ignoring your dad's yelling. You started to believe Steve’s theory regarding someone framing his friend. Yes, they say ‘Why did he run if he's innocent?’ But, wouldn’t anyone run if they had someone in a blue soldier uniform with an indestructible shield, someone in a bulletproof catsuit and a guy flying around with mechanical wings chasing them? You knew you would. And, you were someone who had an outfit fitting to that scenario.
~
His head turns, Bucky or The Winter Soldier you weren’t sure who made direct eye contact with you. Your breath hitched as he dropped the guard currently in a chokehold and made his way towards you. You didn’t move. A hand came up to your throat, pinning you against the wall, tightening by the second. You noticed he hadn’t used his left arm, the silver metal never once touched your skin.
“James? Sorry, I-I know you like to be called B-Bucky but I don’t feel like I know y-you well enough.” You shuttered as his grip grew tighter. “I’m Y/N,” Placing your bare hand onto his wrist against his bare skin, you felt the grip slackening. “I won’t hurt you.” His grip was almost light enough for you to find your feet on the ground again, until…
“Put her down.” Both of your heads turned to where the voice came from, your dad. Palm raised, repulsor ready. You mouthed “no” over and over to him, feeling the grip tighten the longer he stood there. Your dad hits Bucky with a stun-blast which in turn causes him to drop you to the floor. Covering your ears, you sat down with your legs pulled up covering your face. You felt a weight on top of you as another blast went off. Looking up, he was staring down at you as he covered you from your dad’s blasts. Becoming your human shield.
The blasting stopped, Bucky stood up and pounded towards your dad, throwing punches. Your dad blocked almost most of them. He gave as much as he got to.
“Get out of here now!” Your dad yelled at you. You didn’t have your suit, you were no match to The Winter Soldier, it was the safest option. You stood up, legs shaking, as you watched them fight. “Now! Y/N! Go!” He continued to yell as Bucky’s eyes once again found yours. You wanted to stay, something telling you he needed someone to stay.
But, you ran.
Cheeseburgers.
When you woke up, you pulled out your burner phone. You only had three numbers saved, Vision (Baby Brother), Wanda Maximoff (BFF), and James Buchanan Barnes (Old Man). Instinctually calling the number under the name “Old Man” you hoped the ringing would stop and you’d hear his voice. “Hey, Doll.” Nothing. You started to sob as the ringing continued.
You didn’t hear him opening your door and appearing through the gap, he watched you sobbing with the phone pressed against your cheek.
“Hey Kid,” he choked after a beat, snapping out of your trance and hanging the phone up. “Who are you calling?” You shake your head in response, you can’t break the Bucky news to him just yet.
“No one you need to be concerned about, Dad,” giving him a weak smile, he wouldn’t have been concerned, he would have been angry. His little girl, his legacy, is in love with the man who killed his parents and broke his team up. Where did he go so wrong? You got up and helped him further into your room. “How are you feeling?” You lay him on your bed, getting him comfy with all your pillows and throws.
“Oh, never been better,” he joked as he tried to lift himself. “You know, had a planet thrown at me then got stranded in space for three weeks.” You helped him position himself better before getting into your bed and cuddling up to your dad. You didn’t realise until right now just how much you missed him and his humour.
“I’m glad you’re home,” you squeezed his hand while giving him another weak smile. “It’s been far too quiet around here.”
“You can’t get rid of me that easily.” He smiled at you, squeezing your hand back, and then sighed. “We should order cheeseburgers.” You let yourself have a small laugh, for the first time in three weeks.

Wounds. Every Avenger who has set foot on the battlefield returns home riddled with them.
Some end up with severe and (on occasion) life-threatening injuries, while others return home with scratches and bruises. Seeing injuries and seeing someone bleed out no longer holds the same fear and anxiety for the Avengers as it would for a normal person.
Travelling back to the compound took longer than originally anticipated, much to everyone's dismay.
You took the worst hit; your bleeding abdomen and bloody nose were visual proof that easily backed up the statement. Applying as much pressure as you can, you wince at the amount of blood that has begun seeping through your suit.
"Hang on, Y/n/n. We are almost there." The voice came across as a reassuring muffle as you zoned in and out of your thoughts, each time wincing at the pain you felt. But even as a muffle, you knew exactly who it belonged to. Your 'uncle'.
The second the Quinjet touched down in the hangar bay, you felt his arm wrap around your shoulder.
Normally, you'd protest against the idea of being held up by someone else (you'd like to think you were capable of walking on your own), but your injuries left you in such a bad state that the only thing you could do was lean into his touch and screw your eyes shut as the pain continued to shoot through your body.
"Alpine? Dad?" You hoarsely called out the second you were dragged into the empty hangar bay.
You hoped that your voice came out loud enough for your cat and dad to hear you and walk right up to you and your uncle. Almost immediately, your dad makes his way over to where you two stood, the little white cat prancing happily underneath every heavy footstep he takes.
"Holy shit!" Bucky's eyes widened in shock as he reached forward to gently pull you out of Steve's grasp (which loosened the second Bucky came into view) and into his own. "What the fuck did you do out there, Y/n/n?"
Ever since you were a young girl, your dad, the 'cold-hearted' Winter Soldier, despised seeing you in any form of pain. Everyone knows that seeing you in such a bad state was like torture to him.
So being greeted by Steve holding you up as your left arm was wrapped protectively over your abdomen (which was oozing with blood) and a blood-soaked tissue pressed up against your broken nose to prevent blood loss was killing him on the inside.
"It's just a scratch." You tease, trying to make light of the situation. Instead of laughing, your father gave you a look that pulled a sheepish smile onto your lips.
Not a second later, Alpine curls around your leg and flicks her tail to sit down at your feet. "Hi, Piney." You whisper down at the cat with a small, painful smile.
"A fucking big one." He grumbles as he slowly begins leading you in the direction of the hangar bay's exit. "Come on, Alpine," Bucky calls over his shoulder as he begins dragging you over to the compound's infirmary, where you could get your injuries assessed.
The infirmary is one of the biggest facilities in the compound, and yet, apart from Bruce, who was busy cleaning someone else's minor wound, it was like a ghost town. Rows and rows of hospital beds, the stench of disinfectant, and fluorescent lights greet you as your father drags you further and further into the infirmary.
The only other sound that could be heard over the footsteps belonging to you and your dad and the murmurs of Bruce was the sound of small paws running after you.
"Sit your ass down!" Your dad ordered harshly, but you knew he was concerned, making you nod and follow his order to sit down on the bed.
Bucky makes a beeline for some medical equipment; from your space on the bed, you could hear him dismiss Bruce's attempts to look at your seeping wounds (he claims that he's 'able to patch his own daughter's wounds up, thank you').
Lost in the pain that was searing through your abdomen and nose, you barely acknowledge a small head that nudges your free hand. Absentmindedly, your fingertips reach behind her ears to give them a gentle scratch.
"Hiya, Alpine. Did you keep Dad sane while I was away?" You ask softly as if the cat would suddenly start speaking.
Seconds later, Bucky returns to the bed that you and the cat were sitting on with a first aid kit and extra gauze in his metal hand. He places the equipment on the bed before reaching forward to gently pry your arm away from your abdomen, causing you to wince and hiss as the cold air hits it.
His eyes widened in shock at how large your wound was. "Holy shit, why the hell didn't you tell me? You could've passed out!"
"I was applying pressure to it, just like you and Uncle Stevie taught me to do," you reply, causing your father to shake his head in disappointment.
"And in that space of time, you could've passed out from too much blood loss," Bucky replies, continuing to shake his head and fumble with the first aid kit.
"Please tell me you know how to stitch up a wound," you beg softly.
"Doll, you know being in the war came with the ability to stitch up a wound," Bucky replies as he slowly begins to dab a wet cloth over your abdomen.
You hissed loudly at the coolness of the cloth and at the fact that he didn't have a full idea of what he was doing.
"Of course," you wince at the pain, "how could I forget that you and Uncle Steve were in the war?" You asked, sarcasm dripping from your tone.
"Watch that tone, young lady," Bucky warns with a small smile tugging on his lips as your fingertips continue to scratch behind Alpine's ears. "This is going to hurt, doll."
You immediately bite down on your bottom lip before nodding as a way to prepare yourself for the pain.
"You're going to give me and your uncle a heart attack one day with the number of injuries you have on missions," Bucky adds into the settled silence, causing you to attempt to chuckle through the pain, which doesn't work as it sends more pain-searing through your body and near your wound.
"Sending you and Uncle Steve into cardiac arrest is serious considering you are both 100-odd years old." You joke with a light chuckle.
Your dad quickly reaches forward to gently pinch your forearm with his metal hand. "Ouch." You jut out your bottom lip, making your dad smile softly.
"Y/n..." Bucky's tone reaches a warning point. "What have I told you about bringing up our ages?"
You huff loudly before carefully folding your arms over your chest. You've had the lecture of 'Now, as you are aware, your uncle and I are around 100 years old, but that does not give you the right to make jokes about it,' but as you can see, that lecture was pointless as you kept making small digs as it is.
"Just because you guys are old like fossils," Bucky glares daggers at you as you shrug, "it doesn't mean that I should make jokes about it because making jokes about people's age is rude. I know, Dad, you've given me this lecture many times, and yet I still do it."
Bucky shakes his head just as he finishes stitching you up. He then begins looking around the area for the gauze that was just out of his reach; luckily for him, Alpine gently nudged the roll with her head, sending it rolling over to Bucky.
She meowed softly as her tail curled around her.
"Thanks, Alpine." He scratches her head before picking up the white stretchy fabric to begin wrapping it around your torso. He ties a knot in the back before grabbing another clean cloth to tend to your bloody nose.
"Your grandma would've been furious seeing how easily and badly injured you get. I wish you could have seen her face when Steve got into trouble." Bucky chuckles, causing you to join to the best of your ability.
You always enjoyed hearing stories about your grandparents or your father and uncle when they were younger, and this was no exception.
"Don't act like you didn't get into trouble yourself too, Buck." Your uncle's voice echoes through the empty infirmary, making you both jump.
You glance over your dad's shoulder to see your uncle, who looked exhausted, leaning against the wall with his arms folded over his chest. "How're you doing, kiddo? You scared me back there."
"Apart from being in a shit ton of pain—"
"Y/n! Language!" Bucky barks, causing you to smile sheepishly.
"-I'm doing much better. I feel just as exhausted as you look, though." You comment with a smile just as Steve pushes himself off of the wall to make his way over to your bed.
"You were always the one that got into trouble physically, Steve. I was the one pulling you out of them." Bucky says, referring back to Steve's first comment, which causes Steve to clap Bucky on the back before sitting down on the bed next to you.
The bed dips slightly under his pressure as he carefully wraps his arm around your shoulder. At the sudden dip in the hard mattress, Alpine climbs onto your lap and begins to softly purr.
"What on earth are we going to do with you, Y/n/n?" Steve asks as he gently squeezes your shoulder.
"We better wrap her head to toe in that, uh, plastic thing with bubbles that makes the popping sound when you press down on them." You burst into laughter at your dad's attempt to identify something he was unfamiliar with.
Seeing as you were born during this time, you would often spend your free time educating your father and uncle on what things are called and what their purpose is. The current topic is mobile phones.
"Bubble wrap, Dad." Bucky clicks his fingers as he hums in agreement. You shake your head before turning to your uncle with a tired smile. "Have you figured out how to use the internet or how to call and text someone yet, Uncle Steve?"
"No, using a mobile phone is a lot harder than you'd expect," Steve replies nonchalantly. "At least it is for someone mine and your father's age."
"You're doing well, though; practice makes perfect." You stifle a loud yawn and blink back the urge to sleep as you run your fingertips up and down Alpine's back.
"Come on, doll. You need sleep; you can talk to your uncle tomorrow." Bucky orders quietly as he makes a swift move to pick the sleeping cat off of your lap, much to her dismay, to help you up.
You smile tiredly over at your uncle as your dad wraps his free arm around your shoulder to hold you up.
"Good night, Uncle Steve." You mumble quietly.
"Good night, Y/n/n," Steve replies, matching your tiredness.
At a slow and steady pace, you found yourself standing outside your bedroom door. With little struggle, you push open the door to let Alpine strut into your bedroom so she can curl up on your bed (even though she has her own) before turning to hug your dad goodnight.
"No contact with water for a couple of days." He orders as he wiggles his finger in your face. "I love you, doll. Goodnight."
"I love you too, Dad. Night." You murmur before staggering into the dark and cold bedroom.
You gently push the door shut with the palm of your hand before stumbling through the dimly lit room and over to the bathroom to get ready for bed.
One thing is for sure: there are no more missions going to be planned for you, at least not on your father's watch.

Meet more of the family, Miss Stark & The Youngest Barnes | Marvel OC
———
Liv Stark ⌚️
Tumblr media
Full name: Olivia Charlotte Stark-Vega
Nicknames: Liv, Vi, Lottie, Lola, Clary, Char, Charlie, Miss Vega, Snark Central
Age range: 5-18
Height: 5’1
Relationship status: Single
Background: American with Peruvian, Polish and Italian descent
Father: Anthony Stark
Godmother: Elizabeth Stark
Godfather: Jason Underwood
Brother & Sister: Rei and Morgan Stark
Step-mom: Pepper Potts
Uncles: James Rhodes, Happy Hogan & rest of The Avengers
Abilities: A bit of geek and hacker due to her love of technology, basic hand to hand combat since she enjoys boxing and her witty personality. She’s young so she hasn’t gotten plenty of skills yet.
Personality: Liv has a smart touch, gentle soul, sweet, charming and easy going. She is a bit of a bitchy girl and stubborn about everything she does. If she wants to do something, she will probably sneak out to get it done. She got a some of anxiety and a nervous twitch (which would grow over the years since Liv is afraid of being alone and in the dark about a lot of things), this creeping fear and sadness that will take over her if not careful.
- However Liv is very accident prone, she’s always getting hurt one way or another, giving everyone an heart attack since the age of 9 since she’s always been a active little girl. So in result she give Tony and something for Rei to roll his eyes about.
- From an young age, she has always been into tech, jewelry and over all. Wanting to build and grow a her own little things, she was a Stark it’s a given! She watched a lot of movies so she got creative with her ideas.
- Random fun fact, one of her favorite movies is 10 Things I Hate About You, just because she likes Kat Stratford’s aesthetic and attitude. But it’s many Action Movies and Rom-Coms that she will watch with Pepper, that she enjoyed. It’s where she gets her inspiration for things.
- She adored the idea staying in the lab, tinkering and cleaning up the inventions that were made. She practically lived in there, staying home to help and learn. It caused never want to leave that house in general, having a bit of mouth on her after hearing the adults always speak their minds (so don’t be surprised this girl start rambling and throws out whatever bullshit that appears in her thoughts), but it allowed her to be a safe within those four walls.
- It didn’t take long for her to start filling up a notebook with designs on how to incorporate technology into fine jewelry (aka The Stark Watch, necklaces to tracking and security measures, bracelets to be use for defense purposes and rings can be transformed into gauntlet).
- She’s always been bit of business women! Wanting to create products to help people, keeping an eye on things from behind the scenes, represent and model for Stark industries and such.
- But she was still so young, so her parents and siblings didn’t want her to grow up so soon in the spotlight of it. She’s a kid! And she understood that, it bothered her but she understood why. So she stays hoping her time could come where she can help out the group.
—> Because little did she know that theses little gadgets and gizmos that would be incorporated into the ideas her father and older brother would use as fashion purposes in the future with their own suits. Aka they’re Iron Man suits!
—> I know you may be wondering about her family life, well Liv raised well per say. She had to move around a lot as a child, especially since Tony never wanted the public attention to be on her just yet and her mother wasn’t sure that she would taken care of. It took convincing from Pepper and Jason to let her stay home with them, so everything was fine after that.
Tumblr media
Her relationship with her father was an nice one. When it comes to parenting his kids, Tony was a rather dramatic, embarrassingly loud at times, a little cocky and stubborn parent per day, so it’s a bit difficult to get him to calm down and talk softly with him. Tony cares a lot about his children, having Rei and Liv to take care of but he was always busy with the company having to arrive home late, events he had to attend and ending up being tired.
Other than that, he tried to make time for his son and daughter, bringing them to the lab and everywhere he could. Even if he got in trouble afterwards. Tony always tries to inspire his daughter to do what she loves and experience things, be caring, make sure she was alright too and etc. But they make it work!
Ohh, did I forget to mention how annoying and protective Tony can be as a parent? He will take everything very seriously or not serious at all, acting out if something goes wrong and he tends to be questioning his motives. Even blaming himself if something bad were to happen to his family. Tell Tony Stark you have a crush? He sends JARVIS to keep an eye on you. Ask Tony for something like a new backpack for school? He buys you something else.
In his defense, he does everything with so much love (even if he doesn’t always portray it in the best way).
Tumblr media
Her relationship with Rei however—you wouldn’t think it but rather wholesome, since she’s the little sister he never exactly wanted. They were completely opposite to one another, he’s grumpy and she’s easygoing, he rather work alone in silence and she rather work with music blasting and etc. But as much as Rei may be annoyed and want to throw his little sister out of the house, deep down he cares about her, even though he didn’t show it to her very often and he’s very protective of her ever since he was a child.
Rei and their father, always trying to keep Liv out of harms way and safe at home. Even if they tend to fail at times.
Since Tony was always busy, Rei tends to be one to look out for Liv and keep her in check, being her personal bodyguard for everything she does. If it was up to him, Rei would wrap his baby sister in bubble wrap and not let her leave the house!!
When they were kids (and even now) Liv would follow Rei wherever he went and wanting to copy him, be like her big brother because he always around the corner with something snarky to say to her and a huge potty mouth (it resulted in her having a huge attitude as well). She will always be the one to encourage Rei’s designs for suits and talk to dad about something.
He talks and she will absolutely love to listen to him (even if 85% of the time she has no idea what he’s talking, cause he’s smarter than her at a lot of things.)
Sometimes you will find Liv in a moody way shutting everyone out of her room and just curled up in a ball, similar to brother and to be honest, it concerns Rei a bit when it happens. But he would probably try to snap her out of it, even not he will let her be in her moody moments. He knows how it is
At the end of the day, no matter how different they were with one another and the paths they choose, they cared in their own way. Even if when they’re public, they act like they don’t know one another.
—> As for her relationship with the Avengers and Young Avengers! Ooof let’s stick to first impressions, shall we?
Tumblr media
She met all of them when she just a child, joining Rei and Tony on a simple basis day with the group. She first started watching her father talking with Bruce Banner, and she took a liking to him very much seeing how nice, gentle and reserved he can be. But there an edge to him, that she found to be cool.
As for when she met Rick, it was when him and Rei were chatting. Her first impression of him, to her the young man is that he looked like a old school Disney Channel Star with a nice smile and warmth, with a glint of mischief in his eyes.
So when she saw Bruce, Rick, Rei and Tony all work together in their own separate labs blasting music so loudly..the only thing Vi said, “Oh no, there’s 4 of them!”
When she met Natasha, she just cool and rather chill per say acting like the nonsense agent with a soft side. Romanoff’s daughter on the other hand, she was just curious about her and Vi liked that.
Same thing goes for Clint and his daughter, they were just cool people. She was always amazed with the skills they had, and a part of her always knew that Clint Barton was a family man. And she was right, when they appeared at the Barton’s Barn years later.
Meira and Luna were just so relaxed, gentle and sweet girls. She adored how they acted with their teammates and siblings, especially Meira since she was a little sister just like her. Sweet and snarky.
Ethan was just super chill and suspicious of everything, Rei didn’t like him and carried Vi alway from from very quickly. Cole was just so mischievous, snarky smile and tossing jokes every day, making Vi laugh or snort. But a part of her respected him greatly, cause she heard he was VERY powerful.
Liane, well she didn’t like her right away. She annoyed Olivia very quickly and she sent painful glared toward the girl who tried to make friends with her. After a while she softened toward Ms Felton, but it took a long time cause she saw Rei didn’t like her either.

Daphnia Barnes-Wilson 🪫
Tumblr media
Full name: Daphnia Ramona Wilson-Barnes
Nicknames: Daphne, Nia, Daph, DD, Sparky, Daffy, Fifi, Birdie,
Other name while on the run: Davina, Robin
Age range: 7–20
Height: 5’7
Relationship status: Single
Parents: Bucky Barnes & Sam Wilson
Background: American with Mexican and Chilean Origin
Aunt: Sarah Wilson
Uncle: Steve Rogers
Sister: Laurie Wilson
Brother: Benjamin Barnes
Abilities: Marksmanship and Acrobatics, having took some gymnastics classes. She’s also a bit of a fast learner so she’s fluent in English, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese and some French.
Personality: Gentle, a little broken due to being let down a lot in life, warm-hearted, clumsy, a bit shy and humorous at times. But if she’s anything like her fathers, she’s stubborn enough, a little self-sacrificing, and willingly to help no matter what.
- Sam and Bucky have been together for a while now, since their chemistry was a challenging one it always hard to settle down and figure out what they want. However a house, family and future for their kids was always one of them.
- They already had Laurie and Benjamin, so they thought two kids was enough as it is. But things took a small turn when they stumble at a orphanage in Brazil for a mission and met this no named little girl who gave both of them the most honest smile.
- Sam has always been one to have a big heart, so wanting a big family was always part of that. So his heart spoke before his words ever could, wanting to adopt her. Bucky Barnes on the other hand was a little hesitant—well more like worried—about the whole thing, he always wanted a little piece of normalcy and he got it with Sam and their kids. But adding a 3rd? That was a lot of responsibility, but he caved as soon as he hung out with the girl.
- To be honest, they saw a bit of themselves in her. So she was adopted when she less than 10 years old and brought into a family of oddly comforting heroes. They named gave her a name and did everything they could to make her feel comfortable. Welcomed.
—> So Davina (or Daphne) as they called her grow up with her parents and siblings. As loved as she was, she always felt alone and feared that it will all be taken away from her. Especially with the fact that her parents were heroes themselves, there was always a chance that they can end up hurt or worse, if not careful.
- But Bucky always made sure to tell her and every single one of his children, “Don’t worry, I’ll always come back home to you guys, no matter how long it takes.” And Sam would tell them, “You’re our kids, we will always love you and be there to tuck you in bed whenever we can.”
Tumblr media
- Sometimes they would be gone for 2-3 days, maybe a week or a whole month leaving the kids in care of family and friends. Laurie was the oldest of the siblings, so they could handle themselves very well and or sneak off to join the fight ending with them in trouble. Benjamin being the second oldest, so he rather stay behind during the fight and stay with his sisters and friends.
- Speaking of fights and travel, when if plenty say battle isn’t place for children. Sometimes Sam and Bucky had no choice but to bring there kids with them to places like Wakanda, Stark Tower, France and or let’s say Germany for instance. Even though it was a hassle to bring children along for the ride, it was an interesting learning experience and a way to test out their kids
- And to be honest, Daph and her siblings enjoy it a little too much. Cracking jokes, running around, exploring different places and meeting interesting people, and creating new ideas among one another. It was a field trip for them sometimes.
-> And if your wondering, yes Daphnia is team #HateJohnWalker! When she found out, she was ready to take her baseball bat and wack his head with it, demanding the Shield back with a glare. Bucky couldn’t be more prouder of her in that moment laughing, meanwhile Sam rolled his eyes unable to believe what he heard.
- Random fun fact, she played baseball before she was ever adopted and had really good aim, depending on where she was hitting. It was a trait her siblings carried on as well, especially Benjamin even if he was more reserved one, he had a great aim.
- She always loved any sport that involves movement and play, soccer being one of them (since she lived in Brazil for a while). She liked to think she was rather talented when it came to that, even if she was a problem when it came to being around other kids, having a small temper and glaring at other people. Mainly, it was her insecurity that she hid underneath her own glares.
- Matter a fact all the kids were talented in their own way ever since they were younger. Daphne when she was very little, believed at the time that she didn’t have any good talents and wasn’t as smart enough as it is. Until Sam took her out to the shopping and noticed that she stopped in front of small gymnastics building with wide eyes, softly grinning at the sight. She pleaded for him to let her walk in and see the girls, he nodded letting her watch. As she did, Daph realized she wanted to join in on the fun and dance as well. Sam couldn’t stop himself and called Bucky for his opinion on it.
- She started her classes soon enough and enjoyed it for the most part, her body was rather sore after some classes. So she wasn’t too happy about that part. When Bucky told Nat about it, the Russian spy came in shocked and said, “If she wanted to learn some acrobatics, why didn’t you come to me or Lydia? Barton would’ve showed her!”
- Bucky just rolled his eyes and replied, “Cause she wanted that to be her own thing. And it doesn’t hurt to have some normalcy around her, Romanoff. I think it’s a good thing..” And Bucky was right about that, since he loved seeing his husband and children happy, enjoying themselves and having a break from the hero world. Hell, he goes to every talent show, buys items needed and participates in whatever is needed. Even if he’s not too happy about it at first.
- Of course as much as acrobatics were her own thing and all she ever wanted to do, so she can have that skill set. That didn’t stop the idea of having good marksmanship in her left corner, she was already good with a baseball bat and Bucky was more than happy to show the basics of how to hold/use a gun to his kids. Sam wasn’t too pleased about that idea though saying, “They’re too young!”
- And to be honest, Daph was pretty good with a gun. Swinging it swiftly and tossing the gun in her hands, holding it up to her target (which was an old target board hanging outside nearby the trees). However that didn’t mean she didn’t play around with the gun at first, holding in her hands and pretending to be a spy. “Barnes, but you can call Agent Daphnia Wilson, at your service.” She said with a giggle, humoring herself.
- Daph was always a little silly, cocky and daring. Not thinking first and asking questions later kinda gal—oops! So it lead her to getting in trouble sometimes, breaking certain curfews if she out at the movies with a friend (like with one of the young avengers), being a little lazy about things and running away from her problems like a champ. But by the end of the day, she was good girl.
-> Speaking of Young Avengers and Older Avengers. You’re probably wondering who’s her favorites are and first impression were of the teams huh? Well, here are your answers.
Tumblr media
Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff were a given to being liked by her, due to her parents being friends with them. I mean come on, they are basically Captain America, The Black Widow and the rest of Cap’s Quarter.
Moving down the list Thor was always a silly man to her, hearing stories how he speaks in old English and is very noble when it comes to the things that he does. According to the stories from Sam, he was a rather loud fella with a good heart.
Clint Barton, she took a liking too finding his simple ways of life and honest charm to be a nice thing to see. Plus Clint has a similar murder stare to Bucky, so it was funny to see their resting faces when they’re in the same room together.
The man, the myth, the legend himself (or that’s at least what people like to say) Tony Stark was always one of a kind. She was very nervous to meet all of The Avengers, one of them being Stark having seen how the persona he displayed on TV screens and the stories. But in reality, Tony was just a genius goof with snarky humor, so it lighten up her mood.
It was like Bruce Banner sensed her nervousness from a mile away since she appeared in The Tower. He noticed the child behind Sam Wilson holding her jacket, leaned down to her level to kindly introduce himself to the girl and watching parents reactions. Soon enough, with Bucky leaning against the wall with a nod of encouragement, Daph started talking to Bruce with such softness and gentleness.
As for the rest of them, she met them some time later. The Young Avengers. She met the Stark siblings, Rei wasn’t in the lightest mood having no like the idea of meeting Barnes or Wilson’s kids but Olivia gave her a warm welcome and waved at her before rushing off to meet her friends at the mall.
Natasha Romanoff’s daughter Rochelle was kind enough to show her and her siblings around, chatting with them knowing it felt to be the new kids. Daph liked her reddish hair and kind smile.
Liane was something else, having been on a rambling mess when she met Daph and trying to figure out what to do with her plans. Laurie laughed as her sister snicker at the blonde, meanwhile Benji just rolled his eyes confused wanting to get away from there.
Meira was and will always be a delight to meet, since Daphnia met her that same week in The Tower’s kitchen and taste testing her new batch of cookies. They were delicious.
Speaking of food, when Daphnia met Rick she got the same warmth and kindness she remembered from being Bruce. But this time it involved snacks and jokes around his week at The Tower, she was all ears listening to him as they entered the kitchen to find some chicken nuggets.
Cole and Luna, it was more magic and fun spells when she came to see them. The two were casting some spills, when she got caught in one of them being turned into a little mouse by accident. Cole laughed as Luna worried, but they turned her back to normal soon enough.
Ethan was the 3rd sibling she met, and she thanked all the Stars and Stripes that it was a simple meeting. He was watching a movie, being Monsters Inc. when she met him the guy joining The Young Avengers for a movie night.

Can you make a fic where stark!reader finds out their partner(you can choose the gender)cheated on them and instead of getting angery r just gets really petty revenge like
covering their entire car in plastic with 100 pic of screenshot showing cheating thru text, flags around their house that says 'inserts ex name is a cheating bastard' and house cover it in posted note with skulls on it and hiden those screenshot all over the house (like they still finds it months because r kept their mouth shut for like a month)
And they can do nothing about because no property damage was done
Tony sees this trending somewhere and immediately recognizes it r partner
I basicly want to see his and the team reaction to this
Revenge Dad!Tony stark x daughter!reader
Tumblr media
Summary: you get back on your cheating partner
Warnings: cursing, payback,
A/N: I made your partner gn! bcuz I'm a lesbian, 🫤 and e/n is ex's name btw
+•°+*°•++•°+*°•++•°+*°•++•°+*°•+
You were laying in bed scrolling through Instagram when you saw your ex, with the person they cheated on you with, this infuriated you, and you got an idea.
You whipped out your laptop and started printing the screens shots of the messages, all, of the messages even after the breakup, all the lovey-dovey stuff they used to do with you, made you even more frustrated
Once it was all printed out, you hid the papers under your bed. And went to sleep for the night.
+•°+*°•+
The next day you took like three rolls of packing tape from the hall closet. Your father dropped you off at school, you didn't even walk in you simply started walking to e/n's house, their parents were at work, and they were at school. So you had the perfect opportunity.
After a few hours you had gotten all for walls of the house completely covered in paper with screen shots printed onto them.
Now how do you get on the roof, you stuffed the remaining papers into your backpack, threw it over your shoulder and began climbing the oak tree, which you would then jump off of in order to get to the roof.
You had alot of trouble not falling off but eventually you did it. You had tons of sticky notes in your backpack so you got a sharpie and wrote
'Liar' 'bitch' 'coward' 'asshole' 'cheater'
and so on.
You stuck them all over the whole house. Even going inside to mess everything up. Licking all of their silverware and dishes.
And you took all of the batteries in the whole house. And the laundry soup, dish soup, oh and all of the shampoo as well.
and you took all of the milk and poured it down the kitchen sink. Just to be a bit more annoying
And just to be a bit more petty you super glued a photo of you making out with their best friend in front of the now destroyed house, and stuck it right on the front door.
you also threw toilet paper all over the house and threw eggs at the car parked in the driveway. And you had confetti cannons and popped them over the fence to their backyard.
You also popped them all over the front yard, the porch, you even picked the lock on the car and popped a few in there too. Once you had finished that you covered the car in tin foil to make it into a giant oven,
You then had one of your friends drop off a flag that was nion yellow and in bold, red letters said "e/n is a cheating asshole" and stuck it into the middle of the front lawn
Then you went back to school with a smile on your face, just in time for the last class you had.
+•°+*°•+
You had seen it all over the news, internet, everywhere. You felt so proud of yourself, especially when it came on the news while tony was channel surfing and the whole team was there.
"Hang on isn't that...isn't that e/n's house" tony said as he leaned into the tv, and upon turning to face you and seeing the smirk and the very pleased expression on your face he realized.
"Y/n, what did you do?"
"That." You said gesturing toward the tv which had a photo of your masterpiece. When thor, Steve and pepper came in they saw this and asked who's house it was and who did it. Not having a clue.
You answered both of the questions calmly and pepper let out a sigh and crossd her arms, and thor and steve both huddled around you screaming. Just screaming...like aaahahhh.
"OOHH! HOLY SHIT! WHAT IS GOING ON In here" bruce yelled as he and sam, bucky, and nat walked in making everyone go silent. You once again explained the situation and...they had the same reaction.
"Ohhh! Oh my god y/n, holy shit!" Nat yelled coming closer to you.
There was a moment of awkward silence for a good seven seconds before everyone started screaming and jumping, including you, tony and pep.
Lets just say they got what they deserved. To this day e/n's family still finds confetti everywhere, in the lawn, in the car, everywhere. They couldn't get to the roof and had to hire someone to take all of your hard work off around the house 😢
Including the money from hiring someone and replacing the items you stole/broke, it costed a good couple hundred dollars.
Karmas a bitch right?
+•°+*°•+
A/N: i had way to much fun writing this hehe 🤭

lives on
Tumblr media
synopsis : even after the death of tony stark, he remains in his two daughters
warnings : tony’s death (i think that’s it), just overall angst with a lil fluf/comfort, unedited or proofread, this idea literally just came to me and i had to write it out ig
Tumblr media
the backyard of starks cabin was filled with superheroes and loved ones, all chatting and laughing about. you could hear sam and bucky playfully arguing around the grill, beers in hand.
bruce, carol, and thor sprawled out talking about their space travels, with thor’s signature loud laugh. inside, pepper and laura were finishing up some of the food. clint and his kids (including little miss kate) were sat in the living room fighting over who gets to play the next round of mortal combat.
all in all, everyone was having a good time. the night was settling down and you and your mother brought out the cake. morgan, who’s been floating around everyone throughout the night was glued to your side, eyes wide and ready to cut the cake.
everyone had gather outside, smiling as you, morgan, and pepper sat around the cake. they started singing happy birthday, some going the more ‘normal’ route while others did their own thing (thor).
“happy birthday to you, tony stark, happy birthday to you!”
you three leaned in blowing the candles while everyone cheered. pepper cut the cake and morgan and you helped pass it around, conversations being picked up again.
“uncle bruce! uncle bruce! look what i can do!” all eyes turned to the little stark as she began to recite all of the elements of the period table. you and your mother watched in awe at the little girl. she reminded you all of him so much.
when you were younger, everyone told you how much you and your father were like twins and now, you could say that about morgan, too.
after reciting the periodic table, and getting a bunch of cheers, she went off to spitting facts about different elements.
“palladium is the 46th on the table, and it’s atomic number. it was discovered by william hyde wollaston, and then, grandpa howard used it to power his arc reactor at stark industries, and then, dad used it for his own arc reactor, but because it made him sick he had to redo the this allll over again, and he had to replace using grandpas notes!”
“that’s right, morgan, good job sweetie!” pepper gave her a kiss on the side of her head. you shook your head at the memories of your dad going of his shit and how (when you finally figured out what was going on) you gave him a lecture of a lifetime.
bruce chuckled, “i’m not even surprised, the stark gene lives on!” everyone laughed, agreeing. both you and your sister were gifted from a young age, just like your father, and as much as you wished he could see it now, like he saw it with you, you know he’d be proud of how his girls were growing up.
your eyes stung, tears creeping up, but blinked them away. this was a time for celebration, no need to cry. glancing over at your family, human, android, god, and all, you were thankful for them all.
happy birthday, dad.

You all have been an amazing part of my recovery through depression, and I've loved spending time with y'all and interacting with everyone.
Thank you all for being here with me and letting me geek out over stupid stuff 🤣
I will be deleting all Tumblr accounts on April 30th, 2024.
Everyone feel free to download any of my work onto your personal devices, but please don't post it anywhere else!

Social Media Blues
Bucky Barnes x Daughter!Reader
Tumblr media
A/N: hello y’all this is like my first ever fic so pls do not judge me too harshly </3
Request: hi could you do bucky barnes x daughter!reader where he accidentally finds out that she is gay and maybe different pronouns? like he finds her social media and it kind of outs her i don’t know haha. maybe some angst but then fluff at the end?? ty and happy holidays!
Warnings; being outed & not being accepted, homophobia, but fluff at the end dw
Word Count; 2.1k
Coming out was never something you had an immense urge to do, you were content being closeted. Growing up as a lesbian in the 40s was rough, even decades later the fear and trauma you faced towered over you, eating you alive daily.
As you adjusted to the 21st century, you were set up with social media accounts. Most public, but you had private accounts for the closest of your circle. Which is where you met your girlfriend of eight months, nine next Tuesday, but who’s counting? You had finally gotten together after months of commenting jokingly flirtatious words on each other's Instagram posts. It wasn’t a surprise to your mutual friends when you got together, lightheartedly rolling their eyes as they commented various forms of “finally!” on your private relationship debut. But, it would be a surprise to everyone else in your life. Most importantly, your father Bucky Barnes, and your not-by-blood uncle, Steve Rogers. Thinking about it too much made your stomach like, clench up, and the feelings of spinning nausea wash over you.
It was now the middle of June. Wincing as you turned on the blinding light of your phone while laying in bed late into the night because let’s be real here, you had no clue what “dark mode” is. Opening your photo gallery, smiling as you swipe through the abundance of images taken of your girlfriend & you at yesterday’s sunset date. On a whim, you decide to change your profile picture to an almost, silhouette-esque photo of you & your girlfriend kissing. Noticing the new pronoun feature, you decide to add those as well. You could feel your heartbeat race as you hit the “done” button and excitedly spam your girlfriend with the news, falling asleep with a smile on your face minutes later.
3 am rolls around, your father & uncle heading up to the shared apartment floor after a grueling mission, snapping back into reality when the elevator dings. They go their separate ways with a small nod, and Bucky ever so softly opens your door to check in on you. The first night he got you back a couple of years ago, you could have sworn you heard the door open at least 30 times throughout the night. Seeing you safe & sleeping, he haphazardly unloads his baggage in his room and flops down on the couch. The soft buzz of the TV is the only sound to be heard that late, and he mindlessly flips through several different channels before sighing and giving up. He never used his phone much, as to him, there was no need besides the occasional text to you or Steve. Maybe even Sam, granted they weren’t in a petty fight. He taps on Instagram, furrowing his brows as he comes across an account in his recommended with a profile picture that looks strangely like you. His daughter. Kissing someone, another girl. A girl you had never brought around him, but with Bucky being Bucky, he knew who she was. His breath hitches as his eyes frantically scan the little information your account provides, nothin’ but a short bio, the profile picture, and what he learned to be pronouns. His face scrunches up in confusion as he realizes your pronouns aren’t well, typical.
He shuts his phone off and faces it flat down beside him on the couch. He runs his hands through his hair while trying to process all of this new information. How could his baby girl be a lesbian? I mean, he was the last guy to be homophobic, or anything of that sort, but being a man of the 40s he still had the occasional old thoughts. He had assumed you dead for decades before you were found, hoping you had married the guy of your dreams and had kids, maybe even grandkids. His teammates constantly teased him about how he was going to have to deal with boys takin’ ya out soon. This is not what he had hoped for, or thought, not at all.
He doesn’t sleep that night. Your alarm blares at 6 am, rolling over to slam it off. Begrudgingly, you make your way out of your room to the kitchen, finding Steve already eating breakfast at the bar. He looks up to give you a friendly smile before quickly getting back to his food. “Have you seen dad?” you question, as he was usually up way before 6. Swallowing quickly Steve answers “Uh. No, actually. We did get back, quite late though. Could still be sleepin’. Ya know how he is.” You really didn’t know what Steve meant, but you nod anyway and sit down as Steve is getting up. Checking the time, he gives you a quick side hug and heads to training after cleaning up.
Hearing the elevator close, Bucky makes his way out of his room, refusing to meet your concerned eyes for several minutes. “Hellloo? How was the mission?” you say for the second time. He looks up and mumbles a quick, incomprehensible response under his breath. Guess he wasn’t in a talking mood, you thought before rinsing your bowl under the sink. You could feel the thick tension in the room and you didn’t understand why. Deciding to get out of the tower for the day to escape it, you quietly turn to go towards your room. “Wait.”, the unmistakable voice of your father harshly states. “Sit down, please.” Nervously you slide a chair out across from him and sit waiting for whatever bomb he’s about to drop on you. Fumbling with his phone, he pulls up your not-so-secret profile and slides it over to you. “Can you..explain to me this?”
You gaze bewilderedly at the profile picture as if it was staring back just mocking you. Even though your eyes are clearly welling with thick tears, you try to play it cool, and frantically think of a B.S excuse along the lines of “Ohhhhh. That’s a like, really really old private account I made. Completely forgot about it. You know how like, the media and uh. Public get, just wanted a place I could not have to worry about all..that?” He looks up at you unimpressed. He’s old, not stupid.
“Are you..gay? What’s with the..kissing?” he manages to choke out in a repulsed tone. You stare down at the table, transfixed in studying the diverse patterns and grain in an attempt to focus on something, anything other than the fact that your life is crashing around you. You know there's no getting out of it, this wasn’t how you had planned this going at all. There was no plan in the first place. Tears are spilling down your face and yet, he’s still staring blankly at you. “I...I’m a lesbian. I’m sorry. I...I don’t know.” you mumble out in a haze, your head in your hands. Bucky pushes himself back, stumbling out of his chair to pace in endless circles around the kitchen. You watch him through your fingers as your heart sinks further and further down. Sobs wrack through your body as you desperately spew every built-up thought out “This..this is exactly why I didn’t tell you! I knew you would react like this. I knew it. I didn’t want to believe it, but you proved me right once again. Do you know how hard this has been for me..for years! Years, dad. I’m sorry. I tried so hard to “fix” myself so it wouldn’t come down to this, I never wanted you to find out.” He watched you quietly as you briskly walked away from the scene of the near murder, attempting to slow your exceedingly accelerated heartbeat.
The lighting dims and you have yourself still locked in your room, not being able to bare facing him again. It’s now 11 pm, laying half-asleep in your bed until you hear a faint knock at your door. “Just..go please.” The golden round doorknob jiggles and you groan in annoyance as it opens. “Don’t worry, it’s just me. Buck’s not around.” your favorite (and only) uncle softly says. You nod and feel the corner of your bed dip down as Steve sits down
“My opinion? I think he’s a total dick for all that. Don’t tell anyone I said that, but it’s true.” A faint smile tugged at the corners of your lips at the curse word Steve just dropped. “I didn’t really plan what I was going to say, but I’m proud-a ya, kid. This...It doesn’t change my opinions towards you, not even in the slightest. I’m sorry for what he did, you don’t deserve this.” he rants. “Thank you, Steve. It’s nice to know that Captain America has my back.” you tease. “‘Course’. Would really love to meet this girl of yours sometime though. Swing her around whenever you two are comfortable.” he smiles and pats your knee as he gets up to leave. The heavy sound of your door shutting once more rings through your ears, and you close your eyes once more.
Of course, as you are peacefully lulling off to sleep yet another soft rapping of knuckles on the doorframe sets off a hoard of butterflies in your stomach. The door partially cracks open once more, followed by the soft voice of your father “Could we talk?”. A wave of dread rushes over you, unknown if this was the end. The end of movie nights, ordering in greasy take out, directly against the suggestions of Steve. The end of shushing eachothers boisterous laughter when trying to hide after pranks. The end of your relationship, the one you just got back into your grasps. After a bout of silence, he feels compelled to enter regardless. He’s prepared a speech, but his mind goes blank as he examines your visibly frightened body language. His heart pangs, knowing he’s the one who put you in this position, something he promised to never do.
“You..you know I’m not good at these things. That’s..that’s...not an excuse.” he says, breaking the tranquilent silence. Shifting uncomfortably in your bed, you prop yourself up to get a proper view of him. Getting down on his knees at the side of your bed, he continues “I love you. I’m not mad at you, I could never be mad at you. The way I reacted, it was shitty. Selfish. I can’t imagine how hard it must have been for you…but all I could think about was myself. I know that’s not how I should have reacted at all, and I’m really sorry, doll. I was..scared? Worried?”
His own eyes now are filled with tears, as he lightly grips your bedsheets. “I know how..gay people were treated back then, even now.. and I didn’t want you to face that. I guess I thought that by trying to deny it, you would be safe. I’m sorry you felt like you couldn’t tell me, all I’ve ever wanted was your happiness.” Now sitting up, your face twists in deliberation, eyes flicking back and forth desperately scanning his face for any sign of dishonesty. You didn’t expect this, not in the slightest. Taking in his words, your mind is racing with every possible response, feeling overwhelmed. You gulp and nod, mumbling out a small “I- I understand. I mean..obviously I know how it was back then. It still affects me today. I know nowadays it’s a lot more accepted…but the guilt like, consumes me everyday. Especially with us being so much in the public eye, I didn’t well, want to embarrass anybody if it got out.”
“You could never embarrass me doll, especially with something like this. I mean, have you SEEN my reputation? Anyways, seriously, do you have a girl? Because really! Love to meet her sometime. What’s her name? How did you guys meet? She treat you right? You treat her right?” jokingly rapid firing questions at you as you giggle with each one. “Alright, I’ll let you get back to sleep. ‘Night.” he says softly, giving you a bear hug before exiting your room. For the first time in decades, you sleep like a feather, one of the biggest weights you were bearing finally hoisted off your shoulders.

i see the “army vet bucky” modern au alternatives for the winter soldier trauma and raise you “life-altering motorcycle accident survivor turned (recovered) painkiller addict bucky”. i think this might be too niche but there’s so many parallels psychologically wrt: the lack of choice inherent in the neurobiology of drug addiction particularly in ppl who started off just taking what was prescribed to them for their pain in like the 90s/early 2000s (when pharma execs Lied about the neurological impacts). the way you kind of lose all that time despite still living it and having the memories, how sometimes the memories feel like they belong to a different person once you get sober. how it separates you from everyone else in your life who Didn’t suffer like that. it’s Compelling. imo.

You exited the elevator and made your way through the living room, not sparing anybody a second glance. You went straight to your room and slammed the door behind you, leaving all of the avengers that were currently in the living room in a shocked silence. That wasn’t you, you are a cheery and positive teenager that never misses a chance to hang out with your favorite group of superheroes. Even during your bad days, you at least said hi and chatted a bit before going to your room, so your behavior today as you came home from school left everyone worried.
They all knew high school wasn’t easy, but it somehow never affected you much, maybe because you grew up in the spotlight, being a Stark. You were the perfect combination of Pepper and Tony, smart and driven, sarcastic and confident, sweet and supportive, really just a ray of sunshine in everyone’s life. Everybody at Midtown High knows who you are and every student you meet gets surprised by how nice you are to anyone, expecting you to be a stuck up bitch. You talk to and befriend anybody who’s nice to you, but still you spend most of your time with Peter, Ned and MJ.
Speaking of which, while everybody stares at the door you just disappeared through, Peter enters the room through the window, a feat that not everyone is used to yet.
-Damn it, bug boy, stop doing that!- Sam almost yelled, never failing to get startled by his abrupt entrances.
-Sorry, Mr. Falcon, sir- he says sheepishly while Bucky snickers like every other time, but before they can start bickering like always, Tony addresses Peter.
-What’s wrong with my daughter, Spider-ling?- he says in a serious tone, despite the nickname he can’t seem to get tired of.
-I don’t know, Mr. Stark. She was fine during lunch, but when school ended she was nowhere to be seen. We were suppose to meet at the exit like always but she rushed home alone, that’s why I’m here, I was worried.- the more Peter said the more worried Tony got. It wasn’t like you to not show up to do something you planned to do with someone else, let alone without giving a reason or at least a warning first.
Tony had heard enough, he got up from his seat and walked towards your room, knocking twice, then once and then three times fast, a secret knock you came up with when you were little designed just for him. He heard a faint ‘come in’ and, with furrowed eyebrows, he entered your room, finding you sitting on the bed hugging your knees to your chest. Without saying a word he came in, shut the door and sat next to you, putting an arm around your shoulders. You moved to put your head in his chest and hugged him as tightly as you could, Tony could actually feel his own heart breaking at the sight. His little ray of sunshine, crying her heart and soul out and there was nothing more he could do but hold you. He held onto you just as tight as you were, willing himself not to let his own tears fall, needing to be strong for you.
After you calmed down a bit, he couldn’t help himself as he asked -who do I have to kill?- he felt a little better when he heard your little giggle against his chest, but he was still very worried and you both knew he wasn’t entirely kidding. He doesn’t rush you into talking, giving you time to put together your thoughts before starting to explain.
-I’ve been seeing someone- you started, moving to sit straight, sniffling, and he already didn’t like where this was going. -I’m sorry I haven’t said anything, mom knows though…-
-of course she does- he mumbles, a little offended you would tell her and not him, and Tony Stark was never one to not voice his thoughts. -Why didn’t you tell me?- he was clearly hurt, pouting a bit just to amuse you. You giggled a little again as you answered.
-I’m sorry, but I know what you would’ve said. ‘You’re not allowed to date until you’re 65’- you tried to imitate him with a deep voice that made him chuckle. -Damn right you can’t!- you lightened up a little at his laughter, and kept talking.
-I was going to introduce you soon, I swear! But then…- your smile fell and you couldn’t stop the few tears that escaped. -Today, while I was waiting on Peter, I saw him… - when you trailed off, he held your hand giving you an encouraging squeeze but still not pushing you. Then, in the smallest voice he’d ever heard you use, you finished your sentence. -he was kissing another girl…-
He wished you hadn’t finished the sentence. You started crying again, quieter than before, but it still broke Tony’s heart. -oh, honey…- he wrapped his arms around you again, mentally planning how to kill and dispose of the body of the little prick, when he heard you again, your voice barely a whisper. -It hurts, dad… why does it hurt so much?- you still couldn’t stop crying, barely able to finish the sentence.
-I know, Tinkerbell.- The use of your childhood nickname made you smile against tears, the memory of how it came to be coming to the forefront of your mind. You were about 6 years old, watching Peter Pan for the first time with your parents, when you started giggling quite uncontrollably. Your parents gave you a funny look, expecting you to be sad at the part where Tinkerbell was dying and worried they were raising a little psychopath. -What are you laughing at, Junior?- much to Pepper’s displeasure Tony had started calling you that, sustaining that you were turning out to be just like a little version of him. Your mom disagreed, but was slowly changing her mind, especially after what little six year old you said next. -Daddy’s just like Tinkerbell: if she doesn’t get attention she dies!- you got out between giggles, making Pepper almost double over laughing as Tony started a tickle attack, a fake offended look on his face. After that your dad started calling you Tinkerbell, not able to let go of your first sarcastic comment, against him of all people, secretly very proud. You were brought back to the present by your dad’s words as he started rubbing your back.
-It hurts now, but it’s gonna get better, I promise. Your first heartbreak is never easy, but the good news is you have your whole life ahead of you to find a guy smart enough to understand how lucky he is to be loved by you and never let you go.-
Now, Tony Stark is many things. He’s a genius, billionaire, former playboy and philanthropist. He’s an entrepreneur, a superhero, a savior. He’s a role model, a caring friend and doting husband. But, at this very moment, you can’t help but be proud to call him your father. You wish you could tell him that at the moment, but you can’t find the voice to speak so you make a mental note to tell him later. Right now all you can do is hug him so tight you’re not entirely sure he’s able to breathe, but he doesn’t make any attempts to make you let go.
The next couple of hours are spent between hugs, words of encouragement and Tony trying everything he can to make you laugh. When he succeeds in lifting your spirits, you both make your way to the living room where all of the Avengers are now, Pepper included. You sit next to her and she wraps her arm around you, having already been updated on the situation, of course. Everyone else seemed to have come to a mutual understanding of not pressing the matter, knowing you’ll open up when you’re ready and not wanting to upset you again now that you’re back to your cheery self. You’re glad nobody’s asking any questions, acting like nothing happened, exactly what you need right now.
You spend the rest of the day with your family, forgetting all about your broken heart, realizing you’re better off without him. At one point your dad whispers to you -I still need the name of the little jerk, so I can fuck him up- you can’t help but laugh, more glad than ever to be lucky enough to be a Stark.
