I wasn't feeling very motivated today, but I just got a pack of bullet journal stencils, and one of the habit tracking sections is honeycomb. So I used the stencil for the combs and then drew the bee overtop, I did realize too late that the edges of honeycombs are lighter with the darker color in the center, but even with that mistake I'm still really happy with how it turned out!

Context: I participated in the protocol arg and traveled 8 hours to Berlin, and the day I was supposed to leave I got stung at 4 in the morning by a bee hiding in my clothes.

All in all interesting experience. Was fun meeting other tma fans tho!

Very tiny bee friend 7/19/23.

I don’t know if you can even see it with the arrow pointing to it. It was a very small, shiny, metallic insect very excited about the tiny purple blossoms. Little friend was like, “Yes! Just my size!”

My OC has become three OCs instead. (Names temporary).

Honey—

Trans man

Tall, blond, fat, curly hair.

He’s kind to others to a fault, often leading to resentment when his affections are unreciprocated to his satisfaction.

His torso is a honey beehive, with bees carrying out functions of his body they way they would maintain a hive

He was given (naturally or through ritual, undecided) the hive as a child as part of his birthright; the “mother hive” fertilized and sustains the family’s extensive apiary. This has only ever happened with women, typically the first born daughter.

His family is nice, but not very supportive of his identity.

The matriarch(s) that previously housed the hive regret that they can’t connect with him over the hive and the divine femininity associated with it.

He has a younger sister who is supportive but jealous of his place in the family.

He flees home, leading to growing colony collapse among the extensive apiary.

He feels incredibly guilty about choosing himself over his family.

Carrion—

Cis man (or nonbinary?)

Indian, short, slim, bony, prominent nose

Lost his family (unclear if recently or when he was very young).

Stubborn, tries to be stand-offish to hold others at bay.

Kicked dog energy.

Called a hive of vulture bees to him with his loneliness.

The process of them building a hive in his torso was agonizing and painful and continues to be dangerous.

Used to want to get rid of the hive at all costs, even if it killed him; now just wants to be “good enough” to be loved.

Vespa—

(Vespa is the name of certain species of murder hornets)

Cis man? Woman?

???? Hot

Suave, dominant, cunning (well-dressed)

Manipulative

Not made of a hive; the hunter hornets travel with them to find food. Sometimes they feed on them with a mix of pleasure-pain.

Wants something from Honey and/or Carrion, maybe Honey’s family.
