As he took each step forward, trying to control himself, trying not to look at that young man desperate for his approval, trying not to catch a twisted reflection of his old self, he spoke.

“I wish… I wish I had been there… I wish… we could’ve been just father and son…”

Homelander 's teary smile was so genuine, it had no right to be there, Soldier Boy tried to listen to his reassurance, how he almost begged him to be in his life.

“We don’t have to be alone anymore.” Homelander said shakily.

When his shoulder was touched, he began to feel light, relief, his nerves easing momenterily.

“You can’t… You can’t do this.” he struggled to speak.

He looked at the man about to kill him, to the father he had always wanted, he had always needed, he had been a good son already and made his father happy! So why was he so upset? Why did he call him disgusting? Why was he looking at him with such revulsion and hatred?

Had he not been good enough for him?

Why did his father unable to love him like before?

A/N: personally after all the hype from the cast, crew, Amazon and jensen I genuinely expected that episode to contain HL and SB action but alas that didn’t happen and I wish it had happened bcuz it would’ve been far more shocking/disturbing and insane if a sex scene took place and still included the reveal that SB was Homie’s dad– instead of just the most vanilla czech orgy basement porno out there.

I think herogasm just didn't deliver much in shock, the scene with Homelander finding out that was his dad was the best plus mirrolander but frankly meh episode... no wonder they didn't get the emmy nomination.

finn wolfhard and why he himself is proof of byler (why his interview answers are like that)

i’m sure you’ve heard that finn can’t play a straight character, so it would essentially just make sense for mike being queer, endgame proved. obvi 🙄 (joke) (but rlly funny cuz the streak must go on)

anyway, finn wolfhard has been in the industry for years, and one of the things that separates him from other actors is his love for the entire filmmaking process. he’s so involved in all the projects that he works on, and it’s great to see a person so passionate about something, and also be able to deliver on it. this is one of the main reasons why i believe that finn 100% knows the ending of stranger things, at least pertaining to mike wheeler, and has been in the know now for a while (i’m talking end of s3 so since 2019). this ending reveal would be important for him to know for his character, because it explains why mike is acting this/that way. i mean, think about it, if we are all right about mike’s queer coding, finn has to have known the motivations behind his character while acting. if there’s one thing that finn can do, it’s keep a secret for the sake of the storyline and he’s doing a fantastic job.

during s3 press, he got asked tons of questions pertaining to melvin, which is a given, considering they just reunited in s2 and fans are excited to see what they’re like as a couple. viewers go onto watch the show and they take notice of a definitive shift in mike’s behavior. at his worst, mike is rude, hurtful, and obsessive. fans are starting to hate mike (lol just wait til s4). in summary, finn’s character gets reduced to being el’s boyfriend who is a bad friend. but we know the ending of s3, and what finn most likely had to have found out in order to portray mike in that way. there’s more to it!

s4 press and his interesting answers (the proof)

- at the premiere, he was asked what’s in store for milkvan. he goes onto say that they’re both discovering things about themselves.

- in the well-know hair chair, finn gets posed the question ‘what’s going on with mike this season?’. he replies saying that mike’s trying to “keep on a normal path” and be as “normal as possible”

- upon getting asked a byler question, specifically about what would happen if mike were to know about will’s feelings, finn wolfhard stated that he thinks there would probably be a mutual understanding and acceptance

- in the post-volume 2 cast interview, the interviewer wanted to know finn’s perspective on where he thinks mike and el’s storyline is going. he responds with basically “i’m excited for the ending of the show and to see which characters leave hawkins (smalltown boy theory) and stay. as for mike and el, it’s hard to tell, but i just hope they both find happiness”

- in a lot of the press, he emphasizes on how good the ending is that the duffers wrote (keeping in mind that the duffers stated it would be controversial)

all answers hint towards what we suspect: milkvan bones, byler endgame - with no explicit statements, yet he’s really just laying it all out.

to tie this into his upcoming panel (yay!), he doesn’t do this often, and he could very well never come back to do it again, so please try remaining respectful in the questions you ask. he is not going to spoil, so don’t try getting him to do that. is he secretly a huge byler super fan? no, he doesn’t get like that with ships, especially of his own, but something he truly appreciates is good writing, so of course he’s going to be on board with it and care about it if it’s going to be given the proper story and wrap-up!

Also,I just had to touch on this subject but idk about Jamie flatters unfollowing James Cameron and the cast on instagram or whateves but he’s in the cast for Avatar3. (I feel like maybe James told him to do that to not give away the plot of the movie and make it seem like he won’t come back?)

look at it on IMDb (I think that’s a more official site tbh- I hope he’ss in the next movie, Neteyam is way too popular and has created a lot of new loyal fans and I think James Cameron would lose a lot of the fan base if he decided not to add him to the next movie. I know a lot would want to stop watching or might not do as many theater repeats as with atwow. 🚨Spoiler alert for next movie(maybe)Also, there are theory’s floating around based on leaked scripts from avatar 3 and some pics of spider that spider will have a kuru and that he’ll be breathing pandora air just fine without the mask and norm supposedly asks him in the script something like “spider, you’re breathing without the mask?”(or something like that) and he’s like “yea, I’m kinda an expert at it now” and plus at the L.A. exhibition (I think it was L.A.) it showed spider in the water without a mask. I mean I know he wouldn’t need one in the water but like it kinda proves this and plus the photo floating around of spider with a kuru??? Also, the script for A3 also showed Kiri having another seizure or hearing some voices when she connects to the tree of souls(I think?) and mo’at telling her to not tell anyone about it. (Idk if that part relates to what I’m writing but oh well)

basically what I’m trying to get at is that if the next movie is really called “The Seed Bearer,” it would make sense as Kiri is so close to Eywa and it would probably show her powers growing and if she really does that to spider I feel like she’ll also eventually revive Grace(it just makes sense for some reason like Grace being revived and the whole mom thing with Grace and Neytiri-at least maybe in the future movies?? Do you think we'll have Eddie next season? Personally, I think he will be in season 5, BUT not like everyone is expecting. They gave Dustin a trauma, so they have to work on it. Maybe Eddie will be a Billy 2.0, which means we'll have a lot of flashbacks OR maybe Vecna will play with Dustin's mind, idk.

Okay, SO. Based on several interviews, written and recorded, with several people in the cast/crew of the show, plus the writers' actions in the past, plus everything the Duffers have said lately:

To my extreme regret and misery, my opinion is that they totally will not be bringing Eddie back. Not officially.

The Duffers have said that Eddie was always gonna die. That there was no scenario in which the people of Hawkins would not be out for his blood once Chrissy had died in his trailer. That the only logical outcome for the character was always that he'd die. Like. They wrote him to kill him off. And I get the vibe that Eddie wasn't written as that lovable a character until Mr. Quinn interpreted him a certain way.

I think that if he makes a reappearance at all, yeah, I agree with you that they'd probably do it in a Dustin-trauma-Billy-2.0 thing.

I don't think for one second that they're bringing Eddie back. If they did, it would be pure fanservice at this point, because they never intended for him to survive. Crew members have publicly said they understand that we love him and they hear us, and they loved him too. Someone made a freaking corn field design of Eddie's face. Metallica gave the actor a replica of Eddie's guitar. METALLICA. It's not like the show crew/creators are unaware of the love.

So to me, I think if they brought him back in S5, it would be just because they want to capitalize on the love we have for Eddie. And when stories pander to fans instead of just doing what the writers originally intended, or what the writers would have done without the fan influence, stories usually suffer. Cuz when all's said and done, successful show writers are successful for a reason. If they change their plans for fans, the story's direction could change, or they'd add/take away to it and it might not flow as smoothly. If they brought Eddie back, we'd all be happy for that first viewing, but later on I think it might prove itself to be bad story-wise. Like, what, Eddie's randomly there? Eleven suddenly revives him after he's been decomposing in the Upside Down? We still don't understand how she was literally able to jumpstart Max's body after she clinically died. Dusting 001 into an alternate dimension out of nowhereis pretty insane for a super-powered kid to do, though, so hey, maybe she can fully resurrect the dead. Regardless of the dead's loss of blood, ruptured vital organs, many holes in his actual flesh from where demonic bats ate him alive. We've suspended our disbelief far enough in the past; what's a little more? (I'm only being 30% facetious; I am all for El bringing Eddie back to life.)

I think the story would suffer especially if he's a vampire, which I 100% believe will not happen. It's such a cool headcanon for him to mirror the story of Kas in D&D lore, in a way, but. It doesn't. Work? For the show's lore/established expectations? I can elaborate later if you want! But I love all the fan creativity surrounding the Kas Theory; the idea of Eddie as a vampire? hamana hamana hamana-

Basically, they'd have to jump through a lot of hoops to make it make sense. It's not fair he died, but they could give us closure in other ways. (I don't want the other ways. I throw them across the room like a toddler with mashed peas. I spit in the Duffers' general direction.) I think they'll prove to the town that Eddie was innocent all along. The best way (in my humble, unpublished, un-famous-show-writer opinion) for them to do that would be to let all of Hawkins see that they've been dealing with a very-real alternate dimension for years now, and that that's what was killing people, and that Eddie actually died helping to try and stop this dimension and its creatures from hurting the town.

They could do a lot of things to fix Eddie's story, though. My leading, super-vague theory would be that the Upside Down is clearly wonky time-wise. Time froze there the day Will disappeared, right? So - ehh, this implies time can be manipulated in that dimension (I think). I'm no sci-fi expert or anything, I have no idea what I'm talking about-

And if time can be manipulated, maybe Vecna's manipulating it? Which means that El, who has the same abilities as Vecna, can also manipulate it. So my biggest theory right now is that she turns back time in the Upside Down, so that whoever died in the UD is rewound so that they're not dead (Barb, Eddie, etc.). In fact, one idea I've thought they might do for the show's finale is that El uses her powers to completely reverse everything that happened in the Upside Down since the moment 001 became Vecna. And maybe no one remembers its influence on Hawkins (or maybe only the Party does, and the victims). That's the only way I can see them bringing Eddie back, if it's not flashbacks or Vecna visions.

Loki Series Theories 2/?

Mobius is a Loki

I want to preface this by saying I do not like this theory. It makes so much sense to me but it is upsetting. As a selfcest anti but a Lokius shipper, I’m not a fan. If this proves to be true, I’m going to have to rethink everything, and I don’t want to. As I said in my pinned post I’m a selfcest anti, but I really like lokius so I might have to rethink that. I’ll probably end up just dropping lokius, but I don’t know if I’ll want to.

Okay, so here’s my theory on this.

In the void, the only people we meet are Lokis. We see one brief reference to Thanos, one brief reference to Thor, and a ship of presumably sailors from one of the World Wars (I think 2), and that is it. Of these, Thanoscopter: crashed, Thanos is nowhere in sight. Thor: a frog in a jar, we see him very briefly, it is no more than a funny easter egg (how canon that is, is your opinion). The sailors on the ship: devoured by Alioth like five seconds after they show up. So the only people who survive in the void are Lokis and Mobius. (And Frog Thor, but I’m not counting him, because I don’t know when he dies. I don’t know when he got there, I don’t know how long he lasts there, he could have only lasted as long as those sailors.)

This could go a few different ways. One, as Loki tells Sylvie, “We don’t die. We survive.” And as such, because the only survivors in the void are Lokis and Mobius, that would imply that only Lokis are able to survive, statistically. And therefore, Mobius is also a Loki, because he survives.

Another way this could be taken: The void is a place where specifically Loki variants go. Let me explain. The ship: All of them are Loki variants, that’s what gets them sent there. Thor Frog: is Loki in disguise. He gets sent to the void, because he’s Loki. Thanoscopter: sent to the void, because Loki stole it. (Presumably President Loki. Cuz he’s a dick. And I hate him.) Therefore, the only people who get sent to the void in first place, not just the people who live in the void, the only people who get sent to the void in the fucking first place, are Lokis. So Mobius gets pruned, Mobius shows up in the void, Mobius is a Loki.

I rest my case, your honor. And I don’t like it.

Because the thing is, why else is Mobius there? There’s only one other reason why Mobius could still be surviving there, if only Lokis survive in the void. (This wouldn’t be an explanation for if only Lokis go to the void, because he would have no control over that.) But if only Lokis survive in the void, the only reason why he is still there is because he has studied Lokis so much, and he’s gotten so wrapped up and so tangled up in their affairs and their personality and their history and them in general, that he knows how to behave like a Loki.

So even if he’s not a Loki, he knows how to behave like a Loki. He’s clever; he’s stealthy; he can think things through; he can see big picture; he knows how to be resourceful; he– survives!

He survives. Because even if he’s not a Loki, he knows how they tick.

So, I haven’t talked myself out of this one, but I’ve given myself an out.

Canon Likelihood: Mobius is a Loki……….Likely.

I don’t think the writers are clever enough to explain why he’s the only non-Loki to survive there as being that he knows Lokis so well. I don’t. I don’t have enough faith in the writers, I’m sorry. (None of them are Al Ewing, I have loyalties.) So, either A, we never talk about the void again, and so we never get an explanation why the only ones who survive in the void are Lokis and Mobius is the outlier. Or B, we get the easy way out, and that’s that Mobius’s history is that he’s also a Loki, and that he just doesn’t know it. (And yes, I do think that’s the easy way out. I think it’s the dumbest theory I’ve ever come up with that actually holds water. I think it’s a cop-out. I think if I can come up with it in the shower, it’s a dumb theory.)

Why are all these reviewers saying Loki is being out of character for being concerned about the civilians on the moon planet? He just said two episodes ago, he doesn’t actually like hurting people. He did what he did in Avengers out of pure survival, Thanos would’ve killed him otherwise, all that glorious purpose stuff was an act to convince himself and others that he was stronger and more important than he truly felt. Yeah he’s always down for a lil mischief but when it comes to causing serious harm or death to innocent people, THAT’S when he’s being out of character like in Thor (murdering frost giants during a mental breakdown) and Avengers as mentioned. I feel like us and the show writers are the only ones that actually understand this character.

So just wanted to know your opinion on this cuz after reading this m in a sad mood...i just read some comments on quora on jikook's relationship and one person there analysis the whole jikook and vkook. They said that both ships have same similarities and jk in the middle. She make so many points on how much same these both ships are...like in the soop one day they shows jk with tae and another day they show jk with jm. Or like how both ships thinks 123 theory are for their ship and so many...at the end she said no ships is real...it's all done by hybe and the company. They feed both ships equally and its all just fantasy of shippers. No matter how much they ship...the reality is it's never gonna happen.she also said while shooting magic shop mv ??(may b) when jimin teasing jk coming close to his face and jk sighs and moves his face to other side...and jm replied that when jk hates it,he enjoys too much...(means he like to tease jk when jk hates this type of behavior) and it happens bcz sometimes jk not in the mood for all cute fanservice interactions. Second…Thank you for trusting me with your thoughts. I feel your anxiety and know you must be so very confused. I want to mention up front that I have not read the Quora thread you are referring to and as such am not going to comment directly on those points. I hope that doesn’t disappoint you too much. But what I think you are touching on is a crisis in your belief.

Before you read my answers, I would like to ask you to remember what drew you to Jikook in the first place. Something sparked for you and made you go hmm. Don’t let go of that. Bring those moments to mind when someone is trying to convince you otherwise. Listen to their reasoning and consider what that would mean about the type of men you know BTS to be if they were right. Does that jive with who you know them to be?

Now you have already acknowledged that I am a Jikookie. I do not feel a need to prove to you anything. Whether you choose to believe my opinion on Jikook is up to you. I am not trying to make others Jikookies. I present this to you only so you can see my thought process and my journey. Are we being fooled? I think too much of V, JK and JM to think that they would actively participate in fooling their fan base. Doing something like that would be wrong and detrimental to the LGBTQ community. So no I don’t believe we are being fooled.

Incoming sad rant about the spn ending. Don't read if you're not interested in reading something like that, but I literally don't know anyone in real life I can talk about this with, and I really need an outlet:

Sometimes I can put the way SPN ended out of my head and think "it's just a stupid show. I don't have to accept the finale, and the writers/network are wrong." But other times I just get gripped with really intense sadness at the disrespect that was done to my favorite characters. To the point where I'll sit still for hours a day, just wallowing in it. It ruins my whole day and mood. And then I think to myself "I'll just find some other stories that end better!" but then I get sad again, cuz I don't think I will ever love other characters as much as I love Dean and Cas, and then I spiral again thinking about all the potential this unique beautiful love story had, and how we're never going to get the closure we deserve.

I really hate that after all this time, I'm a grown ass adult getting sad over fictional characters. I know it's not that trivial, but I sometimes wish it was so I could get over it 😞

Hi hi, and first of all *socially distanced internet hugs* I’m sorry you don’t have an outlet, but you’re always welcome to chat with me (if you come off anon we can talk privately if you want. My DM’s are always open, even when it takes me a bit to reply. no one should have to feel alone in this.)

I’m actually gonna start at the bottom of your message and work my way up, because I also, as a grown-ass adult, get sad over fictional characters. And I need to emphasize that this is the *point* of fiction. A well-written and developed fictional character is *indistinguishable in our minds from an actual real human being.* The way we react to them *feels exactly the same to our brains and bodies* as how we react to real people, and that’s a testament to just how well developed Dean and Cas were in canon.

I am not a young person. I have engaged with a lot of media over my life, and have *never* felt this strongly about fictional characters before, so I understand what you mean when you struggle to think about finding another story that ended better, or struggle to think about finding other characters you might become this attached to or experience this sort of emotional investment in. And I think there is another factor you didn’t consider there: The vast majority of other media I have engaged with, I was able to relate to on a level of “oh that’s nice for them” or “wow that sucks for them.” I have never, and possibly never will again, feel so utterly invested in fictional characters, to the point where it affects my real life as much as Supernatural has. Period.

I will likely never experience *literal physical lovesickness* over two fictional characters ever again. I hadn’t ever experienced it *in my own real life* before, and yet 15.18 triggered all those symptoms in me. As an aromantic person, this was pretty shocking to me. It also says a lot about just how real these characters feel to us, and how important they have become to us. They make us feel this! This is not an accident. It’s *incredibly difficult* to create fictional characters with this range and depth of emotional connection, and yet here we are.

I think that’s the biggest evidence possibly to present in defense of the statement that THIS IS NOT JUST SOME STUPID SHOW.

Other evidence: this fandom, still going strong after 15 years. Look at every SPN convention for proof. Look at AO3, where there are more posted stories about Dean and Cas than literally any other pairing on the planet (by a not-small margin, too). If that isn’t enough evidence, we have fanart to look at as well. Look through @theroadsofararchive where at the time of this posting there are over 40,000 artworks catalogued, and more being added all the time. Same with @canonspngifs where you can search through through nearly 75,000 gifsets organized by an excellent tagging system and made by dedicated fans out of love for the thing. This is all proof that you are not alone, that so many of us care just as deeply about them as you do. Not even mentioning the people who have written hundreds of millions of words of meta, articles, and even masters theses and doctoral dissertations on Supernatural and the fandom. This is a unique thing, even within the larger fandom culture. Don’t ever let anyone tell you that your feelings for it are stupid or irrelevant or wrong.

But also don’t let anyone try to convince you that you must accept the finale as part of the story if you don’t want to. Don’t even let *yourself* believe that if you don’t want to. This show has done more to play with the themes of “what is reality” and “who gives a story meaning” and alternate universes and curses and djinn dreams to easily account for whatever the heck the finale was.

my current go-to theory: everything after Chuck’s defeat takes place in the Mockumentary Alternate Universe... it fits way too uncomfortably well... and then I just apply the fic I received in a cosmic transmission from the actual supernatural universe wrote detailing the events of what *I* hoped would transpire afterward. I know this doesn’t work for everyone, but it works for me, mostly because it *has* to. It means far too much to me not to.

You are not alone in having invested yourself into this story, and these characters. Your feelings about them are not wrong or stupid or frivolous. And the proof is everyone else who feels the same exact way, who connected to this story (and to each other through this story), and whose lives have been forever altered through this journey together. The fact that Dabb turned out to have been Chuck Junior and couldn’t see (or was prevented from showing us) what Team Free Will would’ve chosen to do with that after defeating their original creator just stands to prove to me that the finale can’t possibly be The Truth, you know?

I don’t know if any of this will help you, or provide you some small comfort right now, but maybe it will eventually. We’re all processing the loss of the show and the abject failure of story that was the finale in different ways, and I’m sure our emotional reactions will shift over time. It was just A Lot to process all in the span of a few incredibly emotional weeks-- not even mentioning how all of that emotional response was compounded by the american elections and surrounding nonsense, the general stress of enduring a global pandemic and all that entails, and *waves hands around broadly at everything else contributing to the trauma occurring in the collective of humankind right now.* We’ve all been emotionally compromised, so be kind to yourself in how you feel you’re coping with it all.

And know that no matter what, you are not alone in how you’re feeling. The grief is real, and our brains don’t care if it’s felt for fictional characters or real people. This was honestly a once in a lifetime experience for a lot of us, and not even the wtf of the finale can kill it for us if we don’t let it. I reject that particular piece of rusty rebar and choose to believe in a just and narratively coherent resolution. To do anything less feels like dishonoring the story and characters who have drawn me in and made me feel so much for them over the years. If the story itself couldn’t honor them properly, then I can choose to do so myself.

I... have some thoughts on the Loki finale. It was not what I was expecting, but I'm still hopeful for season 2.

This felt like a meh finale, like how a lot of season finales felt in Spring 2020 when they unexpectedly quit filming and had to cut things short by a couple episodes thanks to the pandemic. Only this was the planned out finale, they should've given a bit more oomph. I'm quite a fan of exposition and character development usually, but all the dialog was centered on He Who Remains, so it felt like our main characters were just side pieces.

Plus, the final "cliffhanger" of Mobius not knowing Loki and the statue of HWR replacing the Time Keeper statues felt quite lackluster. Not sure how they could've made it hit harder, but it didn't deliver the "oh shit" vibes they intended, but maybe that's cuz Mobius not remembering Loki has been an expected plot line on tumblr for half the season so it wasn't a blindside.

I get the point of the Sylki kiss. From what I've seen on tumblr so far I feel like the nuance of Sylvies actions was lost to most people (both Sylki fans and antis just Didn't Get It). It wasn't a big declaration of love like the fans are grasping onto it as, and it wasn't shoving selfcest into the canon to keep the heternormativity like antis are accusing it of being; it was Sylvie using Loki's attachment to her to trick him. She needed Loki out of her way, and she knew the only way to get past him and get He Who Remains' tempad was through emotional distraction. She used his love against him and betrayed him, a kiss was simply the most efficient way to do it. I did a whole post last week about Sylvie's feelings towards Loki, but to sum up I firmly believe that while Loki harbors some romantic feelings for Sylvie, she feels strictly platonic towards him, but is very aware of his attraction. She took advantage of his care for her to get the upper hand during their fight. Heck she even foreshadowed it herself in ep 5. "There are more important things than friends" "like taking down the TVA" she told Loki that taking down whoever is behind the TVA comes before everything; it's priority #1 in her book, above friendship or love or trust. Loki proved that his priority now is the greater good of the universe not her revenge, so Sylvie has no use for him anymore (partners only when it's convenient, because she is a Loki and that's how emotionally stunted Lokis behave).

I would like to point out the irony of her being worried about Loki betraying her, only to turn around and betray him. It's in the realm of "people who cheat assuming their partner is cheating" / "not using a turn signal when changing planes to avoid being cut off because when you see someone else use their signal you tend to cut them off", it's assuming other people will behave like you do. Sylvie feared in ep 5 that Loki would betray her in the end because she knew if it came down to it she'd betray him. But the thing is, he's actually grown past that. Loki is finally thinking about how his actions can damage others, not just his own wants and needs. Sylvie saw this moral change in Loki, realized there was no chance of getting him back on the blind revenge boat, and decided to exploit his newfound selflessness and emotional attachment to get him out of her path.

This whole season Loki has been maturing emotionally and growing into the best, most heroic version of himself. Sylvie, on the other hand, still has that deceptive, selfish, can't trust anyone persona that every Loki develops to combat insecurity. She hasn't had the emotional growth needed to see the bigger picture, she's still trapped in her own self centered mindset. As such, she disregards the impact her betrayal will have on Loki, the impact killing HWR will have on the universe. She doesn't even take a beat to consider whether revenge is still the right path cuz she doesn't practice self reflection yet; revenge has always been the goal and she refuses to give herself a chance of changing her mind. I hope in season 2 she'll get some character growth, now that her 1 goal has been accomplished.

Now on to Mobius. I enjoyed his scenes, I wish we'd been shown more of what he did to reveal the truth to the rest of the TVA. Again, I feel like too much time was given to HWR's monologing and not enough was spent on the other characters so Mobius and B-15 got very little screen time to display their plan. I am happy Mobius got the opportunity to throw Ranslayers betrayal back in her face, and his attemp at attacking her...my boy you work a desk job you ain't no fighter, she used to work in the field collecting variants, you had no chance. Also, where the F did she go??? I kept expecting her to show up at the end of time but she didn't. Where did Miss Minutes send her??

I'm sad Mobius doesn't know Loki anymore, but I can't say I'm surprised. I've got a few different thoughts on what the heck is going on with him and the TVA:

Sylvie accidentally sent Loki way back to a time early on in the TVA before HWR created the Time Keepers for anonymity. As such, this is a past Mobius who has yet to meet Loki or even learn of Loki's existence. If this is the case, then I think Loki and Past!Mobius's interaction at the end of ep 6 will be the catalyst for him becoming a Loki expert. The 63 branching timelines Mobius and B-15 are discussing before Loki interrupts are from some currently unknown disaster that'll be a plot line in s2. (This is my least favorite theory, but nevertheless a possibility)

HWR was correct when he said that if Sylvie kills him and destroys the TVA then another variant of him will just start it all up again. This variant didn't care to remain anonymous, hence the big statue of him, but kept all the memory wiped variants working there. Because time is a chaotic bitch, the changeover from one HWR variant to another may have been near seamless at the TVA and just involved a quick memory wipe of anything relating to the Time Keepers, Loki and Sylvie, or knowledge that the TVA are all variants. The 63 branches may be thanks to something Renslayer is doing like killing all the HWR variants in existence in order to negate the need for the TVA. The branching could also be from Sylvie's revenge still, we have no idea how much time has passed between her killing HWR and a new HWR taking over so the branching she caused could still be an issue.

There have actually been multiple TVAs running simultaneously, each in their own multiverse. Each one employs memory wiped variants, each one is in charge of a certain subset of timelines, and all work under the one HWR. Sylvie used HWR's tempad to eject Loki back to the TVA, but she accidentally sent him to the TVA of a different multiverse not realizing that's a Thing. The 63 branching timelines Mobius and B-15 are discussing are indeed from Sylvie killing HWR, but there's only 63 as opposed to the countless we saw diverging from Sylvie's perspective because this TVA only sees branches on timelines within their own multiverse. Mobius doesn't know Loki because he isn't our Mobius and in the multiverse he works in maybe Loki's aren't as much of an issue because none of them ever escaped the TVA like Sylvie did (or none of them have Tom's face so he doesn't recognize him as a Loki). If this is the case, then Loki is gonna have to find his way back to his own multiverse in order to be reunited with his Mobius, and that could end up happening thanks to Renslayer. Miss Minutes gave her a file that I suspect only HWR should have access to. Maybe it was tempad coordinates for other multiverses? It took til the 31st century for the multiverses to be connected despite Tony figuring out time travel in the 21st century because travel between universes is much harder, maybe HWR is still the only one who knows how to do that. (If this theory is correct then all the time travel done during Endgame was through timelines within one multiverse) Also just thought of this but what if the reason there are so many extreme variations of loki that grew to adulthood is because the criteria of "sacred timeline" is different in each multiverse. Classic Loki and maybe President Loki and Kid Loki are from the same universe as MCU Loki, but red haired Loki, Croki, Boastful Loki, etc are all from other universes. Think about it, Classic Loki, 2012 Loki, and MCU Loki all have an exact identical path up until their nexus event (or death in MCU Loki's case). I think other than identifying as female, Sylvie's childhood was identical as well and that her nexus event was coming to terms with her adoption as a child, which erased the catalyst of 2011 Thor's plot and would've changed everything for her future path. Had her adoption remained a secret and she grew up on asgard, I believe her story would mirror MCU Loki's. It mildly hit me weird that there would be such wild variation amongst Lokis, even with him being a shapeshifter, because there's a rigid sacred timeline (that supposedly the MCU movies have all adhered to) and they all felt like too big of a divergence to have been left unchecked so long. If boastful Loki was telling the truth about getting all 6 infinity stones then he should've triggered a nexus event as soon as he got more than the 3 he is "supposed to" interact with, unless in his multiverse the sacred timeline criteria is different. Another theory: the agents employed in each TVA are from multiverses other than the one they're working in. It would make sense, keep them from running into their own past by fully detaching each agent from their home timeline/universe. So the Principal!Renslayer that B-15 found will never in any future become the TVA judge we know. The one we know maybe came from the universe Loki got sent to, and that's how the two of them will end up crossing paths again.

So I wrote a DP fan-fiction when I was like 12

It will never see the light of day again-

BUT.

I had some weirdly fun ideas, as a kid?? And I’m not even sure if they’d translate to the teen/kid-audiences of today. (But I know there will be people here to appreciate it.)

I think it was all the 90s buzz around how, “TV and your computer screen will radioactively melt your brain,” or whatever. There was this massive campaign for scare-ads that went out, to keep parents from letting their teens use electronics.

The entire plot revolved around Vlad coming back to Earth (I said I had good ideas, not that I was clever) and wanting to take over the world through the use of...an army of mildly brainwashed teen-halfas that were bribed to do his bidding. He had to hide his identity, and lived underground or in the ‘net in some way. (Better than being left to wander the solar system?)

At the time, I think I knew that kids could be given the power to do whatever they wanted, and if threatened with losing that freedom, would work pretty hard to keep it. Not to mention...how much havoc a couple super-powered teens could actually wreak.

So...if you wanted to “offer” kids world-wide a fleeting taste of power, and then use that to bribe them into doing your bidding (in exchange for being given the power again)...how do you deliver “temporary” ghost-powers to the post-pubescent masses?

Simple.

You just use some weird bullshit ghost-virus to make their chunky 1990s/2000s home computer monitors to deliver a blast of ghost-radiation right into their faces! (Ecto-Acne style, but more refined. With powers reminiscent of what we saw in the hospital episode, when everyone caught the “ghost-flu?”)

Being true to the vibe of the late 90s and early 2000s, I think I had it where this ghost would crawl smaller Geocities circles and forums for “obvious” teenagers to spam. They’d send pop-ups directly to the kid’s computer, directly mirroring all the stuff we were told at the time (Don’t put out your personal information, ever! Never click pop-ups! Never download anything!) until a kid got curious enough to click on it.

The result was a beam of green ectoplasm-laced energy to the face, and a kid waking up with a new, bleached ‘do. I barely knew how radiation worked, but in my head, “ghost essence” or whatever had a pretty short half-life. (geddit??) The kid would be allowed to roam around freely for the first few days, their powers would begin to burn out, and then they’d be back to a normal kid after about a week or two.

To get their powers back, they had to start completing weird, but initially-benign looking tasks. Things like...show up at [x] time at [y] place, or deliver a benign package to a specific person. Eventually, once they proved “trustworthy,” they would get stronger and longer blasts of this ‘virus’ to keep their powers for steadily longer periods of time, until they were finally asked to do things that involved breaking the law.

Having this network of halfas was supposed to allow Vlad to make himself known to the public again. Nobody is going to trust him, but if a tenth of the teenagers in every tech-laden city in the world were under his direct control...he may have a shot at taking over the world. And in theory, these kids could be living anywhere. (A revolutionary concept, at the time.)

Needless to say, the main character was a self-insert. But after realizing the families of these ‘influenced’ teens would need to be kept busy, I started having them all collecting in one place under the guise of a mysterious “Summer Camp.” This particular family gets stuck in a storm, lo and behold, they end up in Amity Park, Guess Who, yadda yadda yadda.

The rest was meeting the canon cast, and a handful of kids trickling through town eventually realizing ‘The Kid Who Saved The World’ lived in town. And that, in order to actually stop what was going on, he was gonna need some equally super-powered help, that wasn’t dependent on following directions received via spam e-mail. Because I always thought it was really stupid, how small and under-powered his team felt.

Mind you, if anybody is SOMEHOW magically one of the few who found/read the original one I posted to FF.net way the fuck back when, you’ll probably notice I never actually got that far in what I’d written/posted. But it was the first story I ever re-wrote, did a story skeleton for, and actually tried to “plan out” with “proper writing techniques.” So little ever actually got written/posted.

I think the “moral” in my kid-brain was actually that, if given the choice, someone given PERMANENT ghost-powers would probably not be choosing to help some evil dude take over the world. But that so many people want to feel strong, or special, or do be able to do things that are ‘amazing’...power corrupts. Especially when your powers are dependent on a megalomaniac fruit loop. (Cuz like, c’mon. We all know he’d try again.)

Someone else has probably done this, and probably did it better, but I’ve so missed the DP canon. It didn’t even hit me how outdated some of these concepts were, until I went back through my (15+ year-) old writing. Yikes. If anybody wants to use it/write it better, have at. I’d be really curious to see how this would translate to the current generation of people Danny’s age, or how it would look re-written for 2020 post-Phantom-Planet canon. (Or however else you’d re-write it!)

My early contribution to Ectober, I guess. May participate with some art this year, if I’m able.

So one big reason why I commented in the first place because I thought of you as some crazy shipper, but after talking to you for a while I saw it's not really true. That was purely me being wrong and I apologise. I just went through your whole pinned post and a lot of it was stuff that I already expected and I still don't think I can change you mind but really, a lot of that stuff is things that friends could do. 1/?

Getting dinner together, giving somebody a necklace etc. friends can do that too. Some might even see it as an elaborate marketing strategy. You see it as romantic, because you want to. And most of the stuff, like posting something at a certain date or time of the day or changing song lyrics is just pure speculation. They might be coincidence. Some things might not even have anything to do with them together but something completely else. 2/? You say that you try to not see hints where there are none, but stuff like that, analyzing dates and looking for clues in what exact time of the day a certain thing was posted in sm is just that.You see those things as romance because you want to see them as such, not because they objectively are. That's exactly it, seeing things where there are none. 3/3

I said this more than once already but I am open to having my mind changed. If I didn't, I wouldn't ask for discussions in my pinned post. To have a proper discussion, though, both parties should 1) have the same amount of knowledge on the subject, 2) leave their emotions out of it and 3) be open to the possibility of being wrong. Of course they can. But do friends feel the need to be secretive about it? When it comes to their dates in June 2018 and December 2019, they spent the night together. Not to mention, they went out of their way to spend 520 - Lunar Valentine's Day - together. Would friends do that? Right after the date in Dec 2019, Yibo wore a pink hoodie to the airport, which as far as we know was the first time he wore pink of his own volition. In his interview with Cosmo two months later, he got asked "what's the first thing that comes to your mind when hearing the word romance?" and his reply was "pink pink". Cp fans think this means that gg was the one who gave him that hoodie since dd himself doesn't like pink. But even if he didn't receive it from gg, Yibo must have been in a romantic mood to be wearing pink - and that, after being with XZ, his “friend”. Regarding the necklace, if it was given by a friend, then why does Yibo constantly wear it yet hide it? To compare, he wears the necklace and ring Han-ge gave him at any event/recording and he wears those openly, too, the way you're supposed to wear jewelry, right? He wears the ox head necklace at events and also in private, in selfies, in between schedules, during rehearsals etc and he started hiding it, i.e. wearing it under his shirts, after fans started fighting about it. Surely, you know that Yibo is an honest/straightforward/blunt person. If we cp fans were wrong with our theory, he would definitely call us out and simultaneously please his solo fans by telling them they're right, thus putting an end to drama among his fans - but he hasn't. The only thing that explains this is assuming he received it from a romantic partner cuz being involved is something that Yibo’s company would not allow him to go public with so instead, he has to hide the necklace as well as his relationship. Likewise, he surely wouldn’t be wearing the necklace all the time if the one who gave it to him wasn’t even closer to his heart than Han-ge is.

Some might even see it as an elaborate marketing strategy.

Marketing what exactly? CQL is over and done with and they don't have other projects together. Not to mention that their connection has brought more harm to their reputations than good and they have way more solo fans than cp fans. Thinking ggdd would go through so much or any trouble just to give credibility to a lie implies that they do it for clout (which neither of them needs or wants) or that they think that queer relationships is something to make fun of or else, that they have no integrity. What exactly is it about them that makes you think they would be such people? They both starred in a BL. Yibo even insisted on trying for that role although he got rejected twice. XZ has shown his support of the lgbt community before. Given Yibo’s entire attitude and e.g. his song lyrics in WuGan, he doesn’t care about fame/clout. He does what he’s passionate about because he’s passionate about it and for money, according to himself. And I don’t think I even need to point out why XZ has clearly no need for more attention. (In fact, his studio asked fans in a recent statement to stop their fan support and voting etc - as a result, his supertopic dropped several spots from the #1, after having been there for months).

And most of the stuff, like posting something at a certain date or time of the day or changing song lyrics is just pure speculation. They might be coincidence.

So what is the limit? How many coincidences do there need to be exactly for them to stop being coincidences? How can posting something at precisely minute 3 or minute 8 always be a coincidence? Especially when XZ wrote in an older weibo post that he uses kadian. He posted at 13:28 in two of his latest updates. On TTXS, Yibo got asked what romantic things he’d do for his partner and he literally said he’d remember certain dates and times and do something surprising. In a more recent weibo, Yibo made a post in support of Han-ge at precisely 21:00 - the kadian of which means "ai ni", love you. He once posted an ad for his mobile game at 18:21 which means "Yi Bo ai ni" and which could have been directed at his fans. Some of their kadian might be but not all of them are reaching and the sheer quantity of all the kadian they've been using proves that those are not coincidences either. Regarding the changing of song lyrics, yes those are speculation. Gg never actually said he'd do that. But the circumstances around those is what makes it seem meaningful. And that time when he changed the lyrics to have the letters ybxz in the beginnings of lines seems meaningful and obvious enough as is.

Some things might not even have anything to do with them together but something completely else.

Of course that is a possibility and one that I am well aware of. I can and do obviously only base my judgement on what we see and know. If there’s something I don’t know that would somehow make my pov wrong, I would be willing to admit that and change my mind. When it comes to things like XZ, changing lyrics to ybxz or Yibo, posting at 10:05 (gg’s birthday) or talking about ordering clothes home to share and then seeing gg in those clothes or gg posting at times that have Yibo’s name or dd, posting at times that have XZ’s name - make it unmistakable to me that they are each other’s special someone and not anyone else’s. Since those things only fit each other.

You see those things as romance because you want to see them as such, not because they objectively are. That's exactly it, seeing things where there are none.

At the beginning of your message, you apologized for assuming I’m a crazy shipper but you end the message with this. “Seeing things where there are none” is what I’d consider crazy shipping so that last sentence sounds like an insult to me. I don’t know what to make of this, lol. Your assumption that I want to see those things as romance is wrong. They’d have it soooo much easier if they were just friends, why in God’s name would I want them to have it more difficult? They wouldn’t feel the need to hide so much, to be so distant in public. We’d probably get fanservice and selfies and joined endorsements. The scandal from February may not have ever happened cuz they’d definitely have fewer cp fans. It’d be awesome if they were nothing more than friends. Not to mention that making wrong claims about a relationship between two real people, solely based on what my desires are, is selfish - it’s about what I want instead of what is. I do not have that attitude. The fact that I wanted to believe they’re just friends is precisely why it took me several months to concede that I must be wrong. I kept dismissing all that I saw as coincidences or as platonic. I do not want ggdd to be lovers but I also don’t want to deny reality. I know that my perception may be fallible, though, so of course I am open to discussing this. I would welcome being proven wrong about this. You don’t properly back up your claims and your arguments don’t take all that we know into consideration. Which is why so far, at least, you haven’t made me see differently.

BJYX Song #4: DDU-DU DDU-DU

Disclaimer: This is all my own headcanon.

After 3 very heart-wrenching songs, I’ve decided to have some fun with this next one. From CQL bts, we can see ggdd singing and dancing to “Ddu-du Ddu-du” by Black Pink a couple days after the song was release in June 2018. But why do they like this song so much? I think I have a theory.

First, we need to subscribe to the 2017 love at first sight theory. When dd met gg for the first time in March, 2017, gg introduced himself on ttxs with a finger-gun pointed to the camera.

We then see dd imitating this gesture. (I want to point out that all the other host of ttxs were also imitating this gesture because they were kinda making fun of gg. It’s not exclusive to dd.) But this means that this gesture has left an impression on dd.

More than dd, this gesture left an impression on another host of ttxs when later in the episode, he revisited the finger-gun sign as a way of flirting, and said he “learned it from dd.” What? I thought gg was the one to do it? Weird.

We now time travel to filming of CQL. Unfortunately, I am unable to pinpoint the exact date for many of these bts footage so I apologize for this. We just have to assume all these were happening around these couple months.

In one interview, gg was taking solo photos and making finger hearts. Dd then yelled “比槍” or “do a finger-gun” and gg did one pointed directly at dd. Is it possible that dd said that because he remembered gg’s introduction in 2017? Yes, because if love at first sight is true, you will remember that moment very vividly. Dd probably equate the finger-gun symbol to flirting already.

In a fan-cam footage, we see gg saying to dd “Yibo, I will give you a fingergun” and then dd looked so happy.

In an interview during filming, the interviewer asked “What is making a heart?” And gg made a finger-gun. This tells us that gg also equates the finger-gun as showing love.

Dd also promoted LWJ first by making the traditional finger hearts but then turning them back into hearts.

This following one is my favorite heart finger gun because it was completely unprompted. In this scene, WWX had rain being poured on and gg had some dirt on his face. Dd wanted to wipe it off but gg gave him a “warning look” cuz there were cameras recording. But then gg gave dd a very loving look. You can see the full video here. Then dd teased gg by saying he’s handsome even without makeup, gg gave dd a thumbs up. The thumbs up then turned into a finger-gun very briefly. It was so fast yet so natural, confirming that this is like a secret gesture between the two of them.

Another one! Gg giving dd a “finger-gun” when WWX was hanging off the cliff. From the video, it seems like dd got emotional over WWX dying so gg maybe was trying to comfort him. This one was also pretty deliberate yet not prompted by camera or for effect. Credit to DY.

So I started wondering if finger-gun is just a popular trend in China at that time to demonstrate love, similar to the Korean finger hearts. However, when I search “比槍“, I found out people on Chinese Q&A asking “Why does XZ/WYB do finger-guns”. Another proof that it’s only a thing between them is that during an interview in 2019, gg was asked “Why do are your finger hearts so much bigger than others?” This question tells us that it’s not a common trend and people were perplexed by this. Gg then have to explain that they were finger-guns and not hearts. He also said that “it’s because WE thought everyone did hearts so WE wanted to do hand-gun.” Who’s we? Are ggdd in their own world again?

Edit: Here, WZC (Jiang Cheng’s actor) was asked by a fan to do a “finger-gun” and he didn’t know what that was/meant. The interviewer had to explain it’s something gg talked about doing. This further supports the hypothesis that the “WE” is only ggdd. WZC is probably the cast member closest to gg other than dd because of the number of scenes they have together so it’s unlikely it’s a joke amongst other cast members if even he didn’t know.

So back to our song.

We know that the “Ddu-du-ddu-du” means shooting finger-guns and that Black Pink is trying to shoot their love at you. Isn’t that just like the hand gesture that ggdd share. We can see him doing the dududu finger-gun on set to each other, even when they’re at a distance that’s hard to talk to each other. We know that it’s “their thing” because the actor of LXC asked dd what they were doing and he had to explain “Black Pink.” I also find it funny that everyone else (Shijie, JC, JGY, etc.) just ignores them LOL.

I won’t analyze the lyrics since I don’t speak Korean so I wont’ be making a faithful analysis. In addition, ggdd aren’t as focus on singing the song as they are on doing the dance and hand gesture. It’s just interesting to point out that the song is about Black Pink having a lot of personality and not caring about what others think of them, a vibe similar to dd’s “No Sense.”

Easter egg #1: In the 520 video (Chinense Valentine’s Day) in 2020, dd is still using the finger-gun as a gesture of love.

East egg #2: I was wondering if maybe finger-gun gesture if a thing in Korea since we see it in Blackpink and also APink’s “Mr. Chu” video that dd has danced to before. Since dd trained in Korea, maybe it’s something he picked up there. I asked my friend in Korea that’s a bit of a socialite and she said no, it’s not a thing. She was perplex by the question and had to try to reason it herself which proves it’s not common.

Easter Egg #3: During an interview filmed on 7/29/18 (the same one where they gave each other a song), ggdd were asked to do charades. One of the clue was “dududu”. Dd keep getting it wrong so gg had to repeat the finger-gun three times. Some analysis video deduced that dd was getting it wrong on purpose because you can see his mouth smiling slightly. What’s more telling is that when he finally got it right, gg gave him a “bunny teeth warning,” telling us that gg knew dd was messing with him. It’s speculated that dd was getting it wrong so he can see gg do the gesture multiple times LOL But maybe he was just annoyed that dd wasn’t getting it ‘cuz it was so obvious? 😅
