Well, I've run into an issue where, for some reason, my phone app refuses to allow any of my existing photos to post, so while I continue trying to resolve the issue, here's one of my first forays into using Monster High Dolls as a medium: minorly repainted/restyled g3 Draculaura!
I redid her eye color in metallic color shift paint, and gave her matte black lipstick. I also repainted her jewelry and shoes, and restyled her outfit using various existing Monster High clothes.
While I can't say I'm as enamored with this doll line as a lot of customizers are thus far, I do admit that I love how easily poseable they are (so much attitude in such easy poses!) and how much easier it is to paint the face, given that they have larger heads than Barbie dolls.

she’s a simple repaint, but i think she is done! meet Li Jing, a jiangshi!
i added a photo of Mother Vampire, her inspiration point, as well as the screenshot i used to emulate a seal. and yes, i am aware they do not move independently when sealed, but i think it fits she can since it wasn’t drawn 100% correct heh.
i have so many thrifted dracularas, maybe i should just keep making different vampire types. but honestly jiangshi and nosferatu are my two favourite kinds. otherwise they just present too normally human.

Spelldon’s shirt is sewn, I just need to add the painted detail (an Ancient Greek vase design around the collar, and maybe the bottom of the sleeves, and a stylized boar’s head from his mother’s, Circe’s, myth).
I see him as focusing more on potions than magic, unlike his older sister Casta.
His shirt was partially inspired by @spookberry ‘s design.
I still need to make his jacket, socks, gloves, paints, shoes, belt and jewelry.
A quick mark-up of what I want to add.

finished my drider, Katharine Hunstman.
her clothes are made from very sheer fabric. one of my partners suggested making her clothes look like they were made of spider-silk, so i thought the transparency added a delicate look. the skirts are ruched up to accommodate movement, but are long enough to almost cover her legs fully if let down.
my concept of her is as a librarian, skittering along the shelves as she helps people. if i was going to make her as a playable character, it would be a wizard to keep with the literary theme. her size as a doll would be close to her actual size, able to ride on someone’s shoulder if needed.
