After a thousand years of agony, Loki looks to the woman who kneels by his side – his jailer, his torturer, his wife – and asks for a different story. Hers.

So swore Sigyn, a young mortal woman, after watching her father die at godly hands. A millennia later, she has joined the same pantheon she once despised. Now, as Ragnarok approaches – the end of all Nine Worlds – Sigyn narrates the tale of the Norse Gods’ fall, and her own.

Meet Sigyn (she/her)

Human. Powerless. Weak. At least, that's what everyone tells her - and what she would have the Gods believe. Conning her way into the heart of the Gods' court, a young Sigyn must navigate the treacherous thorns of Aesir politics if she wants to live long enough to avenge her father's murder and allow his vengeful draug to find peace. Fearing to love and lose again, as she lost her father, she shuns connections or intimacy, honing herself into a weapon of vengeance against the strongest men in all the worlds.

Meet Loki (any/all)

Ancient and unknowable, yet frightfully immature, Loki plays many roles: the Gods' jester, their monstrous pet, their simultaneous saboteur and saviour. He (or she, or they) is the most unpredictable thing about the Aesir's deadly courts. That makes him dangerous. Sigyn should avoid him, especially as a fragmented prophecy warns that their fates are intertwined. But as that prophecy unfurls into a plot to destroy the Gods and the Nine Worlds they inhabit, with Loki at its heart, Sigyn must venture close enough to the Liesmith to risk being burnt.

Quote: I was neither tall nor beautiful. I lacked the soulful eyes and luscious figure of a Vanir, or a Ljósálf’s slender limbs and sugar-spun features. My mousy-brown hair was my thinnest attribute, and I wore it in a sensible bun, which, by dint of its roundness, rather resembled the rest of me. my partner and i went on a cute little date to my favorite indie bookstore yesterday and he got me this book, i’ve been wanting to pick it up for months but my library doesn’t have a copy!

finally finished red rising last night (a full review coming soon!! need another day to process whatever the hell that was) and started this immediately after finishing and am currently on chapter four and i’m blown away by the writing, i can see this beating the poppy war for my favorite book of the year (and i adore that series and rf kuang).

it’s gut wrenching! it’s sad! it’s beautiful! it’s sick and twisted! i fear it is only going to get worse! i’m annotating and tabbing as i go along so it’s taking me a bit more time than usual to get through it, but i’m enjoying it so far :)

A/N: What started out as a headcanon of Mickey’s favourite songs, has now evolved into this instead but by all means enjoy!😍🙃

•Mickey had caught you outside of the library and next thing you know, you were at Clever coffee or CC’s for short sitting at a table for two.

•Whilst Mickey is talking a little later you cannot believe your ears when you hear this song playing, it makes a wide smile appear on your face as you mouth the words to the guy in front of you with the smug grin on his face.

3. Kickstart my heart - Motley Crue

•Having spent a couple of weeks hanging out together you’ve felt the tension reach critical, what with Mickey teasing you as he leaned closer into your personal space.

•So one afternoon you are sitting on the campus grounds, leaves are falling and it’s still mild enough for a tee shirt but you find yourself shivering.

•Mickey’s eyes were watching you so carefully like he was mapping out your whole body, which causes you to slide along the bench closer towards him, then moments later your lips meet and you truly cannot get enough.

4. Physical (you’re so) - Nine Inch Nails

•With your roommate out you sneak Mickey into your dorm room, as soon as the door closes behind you his hands are on your hips pulling you closer towards him.

•Spinning you round on the spot Mickey makes out with you, whilst his hands slide under your sweater touching bare skin causing you to groan into his mouth.

•His kisses intensify courtesy of his tongue as he pulls you onto his lap, hands pawing at your ass as he tries to lift out the back of your skirt, whilst you grind yourself on his front until you both hear the door open suddenly.

•Mickey needs to talk to somebody about you because otherwise he is going to go insane, following you around campus had paid off and now he didn’t want you to be out of his sight.

•Some would call him obsessed because that’s exactly what Randy his classmate had said, followed by “You’ve got it so bad, I feel sorry for the victim.”

•”Jealousy is not a good look on you” Mickey retorts then before Randy can reply, he reminds him of how hot you are likening you to a young Carrie Fisher.

6. Plush - Stone Temple Pilots

•Mickey is moments away from hurting somebody but he’s at a bar, a place that rarely carded but watered down their beer, it was a dive but he wasn’t one to notice such things other than cheap alcohol.

•He had followed you here but you were acting as if he was invisible, flirting with other guys which causes Mickey to punch a hole in the wall beside him.

•Of course this causes a scene in which Mickey is the lead, he definitely shot first well in his mind at least, acting as if he was Solo grudgingly rescuing you (the princess) from some douchebag who definitely looked like a creep that had crawled from the dark side.

7. Laid - James

•”I didn’t need to be rescued.” you explain for the third time to Mickey, but he isn’t listening as you both strip off your clothes.

•”Just hurry up and get undressed.” Mickey retorts and once you are fully naked, he literally growls as he pulls you towards him.

•Mickey leans over you once he is finally inside your pussy, you cry out and grip onto him when he finally takes your over the edge unable to come back.

8. Head over feet - Alanis Morissette

•” I swear if I hear the name Mickey again I will literally scream.” Your friend informs you pointing her eyes heavenwards incase you hadn’t got the hint already.

•A curfew had been placed on all the student which meant that nobody, could leave or enter in the college after dark but it didn’t stop you from seeing Mickey of course.

•Currently you were the only two people in the large theatre on site, it was eerily quiet, well until you do that thing with your tongue that Mickey definitely likes.

•”Keep that up and I’m going to cum in your mouth.” Mickey whines as you take his cock deeper in your mouth, tasting his release as you swallow up every last drop.
