I just found Innuendo at my local second hand record shop and it’s amazing. It’s tugging on my heart strings, and does every time I listen to it. It feels like the perfect book end to Freddie’s music life (yes Made In Heaven came out, but that was after he passed, yk what I mean). It brings back the religious aspect in the first two albums, it brings back the sway-ability with These Are The Days Of Our Lives that songs like The Night Comes Down has, the fairytale feeling is back in full swing. it just scratches my brain and makes me wanna cry

Transition timeline here we go!

So this upcoming Saturday marks 2 years since I came out to my wife. Figured I'd do a little timeline. photos under the cut!

this was me circa ~2016, Identifying as Cis and Demisexual. I did the black and white cuz i was bored in a deer stand and feeling artsy/super depressed about repressed trauma and dysphoria.

this was in 2021, I dyed my hair blue cuz I was feeling like I needed to make a change, pretty sure I was identifying as he/him Nonbinary at this point. I was slowly learning more about my own relationship to my gender and I knew "Man" never really felt right with me

March 2022, I came out to my wife in early March and I'm fully embracing myself as a trans woman, she/her pronouns and everything, and this was taken at a friend's wedding. everyone was so nice and affirming that day, you can see the joy on my face. I was feeling so lightweight in this moment. A burden had been lifted off of me and I felt like I could breathe freely.

I took this one recently, sans makeup cuz I'm lazy lol. If I could travel back in time to 2016 me Id give her a hug, tell her that things get so much better. You are able to make that fundamental change in yourself that you've been wanting since you turned 14. You end up meeting the love of your life through your brother-by-choice. You do the work to better yourself and you end up going back to school after failing the first time. You do all this and while you might still get sad sometimes, the joy from this journey has all been so, so worth it. You matter, you are loved, and you get to feel pretty.
