The Curio Chronicles is a contemporary modern slice of life story, based on the life of Uni student Abigail Watson. She is a book nerd looking to find her way into a modern hip and funky publisher, who has a passion and love for all things gothic.

Born and raised in the rural village of Wotton Dursley, a conservative village in southern England, she finds her first year at uni has changed her, and she is well aware that no one at home will approve of her new look. Accompanied by her room mate, and best friend in the world, Jemima Dixon, she has to head home for the Summer, and is terrified. Birch is a wild, liberated, wiccan, naturist, who just happens to be doing her doctorate in sexual dysfunction, and relationships. She is loving, and quite bonkers, and tells it as it is, which can only mean trouble in the village.

The Curio Chronicles follows Abigail’s life, as she arrives home with Birch, and the trouble starts on her arrival, and it chronicles Abby and her small group of friends as they progress through life in a village that shames and bullies them. It is wild, liberated, very funny, sexual at times, and irreverent. The characters will jump off the page they are so believable, and you will find yourself, laughing and giggling as they live their chaotic life together, in opposition to the traditional ways of the villagers. Brilliant and inspiring story, that holds a mirror up to a great deal of modern society today, by Robin John Morgan
