"Locked away?" Gilbert repeated the assessment, trying to wrap his head around the idea of his head pulling such a trick behind his back. "So those memories or emotions are something bad for me? Or- I don't want them? I'm locking them up?" It was a little hard to comprehend, but at this point, Gilbert was willing to accept any and all solutions to make these recurring nightmares stop.

If the dream was a memory, and literal one at that, it would be one from a long time ago. The memories of the scarce times he had visited farms, stables or even woodshops lately were all clear in his mind and brought him no discomfort whatsoever. But he had spent numerous hours in those places when he was younger. There was plenty of space for one of those times to have been unpleasant enough to be... forgotten entirely, apparently.

He nodded, a determined crease between his eyebrows. "Right, understood. What do I have to do?"

Brailyn is not really good at fighting, considering she's a teen and having no experience in self defense. Her only option is to run away.

However. she's also empathetic and selfless, if another person was in her position. She would literally try everything to save that person. Because for her, it's much easier to fight for someone than for herself.
