Basically, it’s about cuphead (and possibly mugman and other kids in the inkwell isles) being part of a church, he was one of the choir boys/greeters, and a bit of a troublemaker!

One night, he faces an actual demon, who went by the name of “ms malice” and for some reason, seeing her for the first time, he felt as if he had fallen in love…..ms malice doesn’t really know the definition of “love” but she really wants to learn. Cuphead discused her as one of the helpers, but boy oh boy she didn’t act like one!

The only reason she was even in the living world was so she could capture runaway souls, she wasn’t supposed to get attached…..

Now cuphead is a town renowned bartender because of his famous drinks! He’s charming, kind, anything a gal could want! Chalice already called dibs, though. And she makes sure everyone knows.

Basically, cuphead is like her leash, but every now and then, he can get a little koo-koo too-

Yes, detective cooper here has somehow ended up falling right in the heart of the city’s number one mobster’s WIFE! Her of all people!

Detective cooper never really thought about love, he’s been too busy keeping himself on his feet, solving cases, yada yada yada.

One night, he went to the very bar our lovely Mrs Alice was preforming. He had never fallen harder for another being in his whole life. After the show, he confessed his emotions and offered her dinner and a show. She wanted to say yes, but her husband’s car had pulled up to the curb. Our detective hid behind a counter as Mrs Alice had a conversation with her husband, the city’s #1 mobster, rumored to clear out an entire room in under an hour. Although, dangerous as he was, he never noticed anything about his wife’s affairs. after he left Mrs Alice agreed to detective cooper’s offer.

Basically, he KNOWS he’ll be killed if he keeps this up, but some people can’t say no to their heart….

Cult leader x their god

(Warning that this one is a little touchy, so fair warning that this one might be a tad bit disturbing-)

(Since y’all liked this one the most, I went a LIIIIIIL too hard on the art. And don’t worry, that’s not cuphead’s blood-)

This one takes place in a post-apocalypse, devastation everywhere you look. No more rules, but that’s just more dangerous. With the devil running loose, it’s not surprising people would try and look for a savior. For YEARS, people tried calling on a goddess, one who was said to heal, to bring peace.

For over a hundred years, a cult did everything they could to try and summon her. And one day, after all the mayhem, all the chaos, all the sacrifices made, she finally came.

The new leader of this “cult” was given the title leader, after the last one grew too old. He never really thought the goddess would come when HE was alive, but here we are.

At first, all she wanted to do was explore the earth she had left so many years ago, cuphead tried to both show her around AND try to get her to try and heal people!

She did not pay attention one bit, and went to go chase a frog.

A few months later, he no longer saw a goddess known to triumph evil, but a girl who simply loved life and was heartbroken to see what had happened to earth.

Cuphead doesn’t even think she remembers how to even use her powers…..Yet he still was devoted to her and never left her side. Not even for a minute. No mortal has ever treated her like that before. That’s why he’s her favorite.

Some of the other members don’t approve of their little “relation” because they need her to heal people, but obviously cuphead spoils her too much.

A friend was there and also told me this before (the M&G people act like a cult lol even my friend would gatekeep stuff)

My point is: they know. The sad thing is that a minority being disrespectful gave the writers the excuse to say they were being attacked (Like the fatfobic dms Z***** got back then) So both of them being cautious about this is probably just to "protect" the writers and avoid more heated discusions.

Maybe unpopular opinion: I was really mad, hurt and offended by that shitty storyline buy I don't get the point to keep bringing and asking actors about it (especially when they still work with those writers/producers)

I remember seeing stuff like that and that thread specifically and was happy to hear that they did seem to understand and people were able to voice our frustrations and displeasure with the storyline in a respectful way and that they seemed to agree but I don't know...I understand being cautious because of the writers and not wanting to disagree with anything they chose to do but I just felt like the way Danielle chose to word things at this recent con was a little strange. Like yeah, the fans didn't have to go there and bring up Jack and mention it again because I agree, I'm kinda over it being discussed at pretty much every con now when we know how awful it was, there's nothing we can do about it now and they thankfully dropped it so it's time to move on but the fact that she kind of implied that she wouldn't have changed how that all happened and that they should have doubled down? That kind of tells me that she still doesn't get it to an extent and for her own personal reasons she still thought it was a good idea and I don't know how she could think that a year later after hearing all the fans talk about it in ways that they did.

Doubling down would mean that Jack would forever be connected to them and their baby and I get the frustration of just wanting Marina to have a baby because obviously fans feel that way too but not at the expense of having Jack being involved in all of it. The whole point is that it was disrespectful that they continued to make a man the center of a wlw couple growing their family and that would have continued to happen if they doubled down so I just really hope Danielle understands that and the harm it would have caused and that it's not the same thing as her real life situation and that Maya and Carina deserve to start their family and have a baby without having a man involved.

Nah dont worry, I'm not one of those "video games are art!" stooges - I apreciate a perspective that doesn't walk on eggshells (cause "gamers" are so insecure its kinda expected to give them some diplomatic answer lol)

The sport comparison is kinda interesting, especially because thats why I really hate "esports* or "competitive gaming" - atleast with real life sports there is some dignity in mastering ones body etc (even though I share Ghadafis view, that sports should be for the public and sport stars just push everything into a sick direction of pointless optimization, with the most ridiculous example being competitive speed walking where the contestants look like AIDS awareness posters from the 80s, if I can be crude here😂)

But tangents aside, think for me any "value" that video games have is in their novelty as "pop art" - as interactive advertisments, that no matter how snobish one wants to be, do have somethinking striking in them- especially before ultra realistic graphics were mainstream, they had a unique asthetic quality.

Think the best way to look at video games is as toys, board games and / or amusment parks - not even to scoff at them, but to remove the confusion of the whole "art" discusion - nobody agitates for monopoly to be art,.yet people play, and few people will deny that if not monopyly, there are a few "good boardgames", but idk🤷🏿‍♂️

Thank you! Yes, I was painting with too broad a brush by just saying "sports." I was probably thinking about the cult here in American suburbia around (American) football, for example, whether high-school, college, or professional, with all the accompanying drinking and gambling and yelling at the TV, and the danger of the game itself to the players, which all seems very unhealthy to me and which I strongly reacted against in my youth. Obviously, other kinds of sports can offer the pleasures of exercise and camaraderie and more salubrious spectacle—not that I would know!

Hi! So I'm doing a paper on Binford right now for a theory class that isn't Archaeo theory (it's sociology based, for general ed) and doesn't talk about him at all. Reading your post was the first time I've heard negative things about him, and obviously I don't want to write a paper lauding him if he's such a dick. Are there any sources you know of that I can refer to that talk about these things so I can use them in my paper?

He was definitely a dick, but to be honest I've learned that more so from being a field archaeologist, talking to profs as a student, and interacting with other archaeologists at conferences and elsewhere, rather than through published sources.

A good tactic might be to have a look at a few works on the subject of Binford's wife (well, one of his six wives), Sally Rosen Binford. A non-peer-reviewed article on her is here, and it discuses the unpleasant aspects of Lewis Binford including his weird cult-like status, drinking, physical abuse, making her put her career on hold for him, and the fact that Sally did a hell of a lot to make his writing and general work much better. That article also links to another on the subject, here, though I haven't had the chance to read it yet. Trigger warning for anyone reading these, Sally committed suicide later in life (long after the divorce), and the first article opens with a discussion of that.

You might also peruse your university library systems by searching things like "binford vs tilley" or "binford vs hodder" to get some juicy fights veiled behind academic jargon. I can't recall reading published papers with good clear reasons on the limitations of Processualism that aren't also on the flip side pushing post-Processualism. Maybe something by Bruce Trigger, if I remember right? It's been too long since I reviewed this stuff!

There are two types of people in the fandom right now:

AND BOTH ARE EQUALLY VALID I just happen to be a slut for symbolism (literally my fave book series is Dan Brown's Langdon series aka Da Vinci Code etc.) so I cant not real into this as much as I physically can while being aware that I'm actually not at all convinced that BC is that picky about their symbolism and profound messages underneath it, there's a very high chance they're doing half of this just because it looks cool :''DDd

Klaus Hargreeves: master manipulator

I have read so many posts, comments, confessions talking about unfairly Klaus is treated by his siblings regarding some situations  more specifically  the light supper when Ben possessed him (only because Klaus was being an asshole and ignoring Ben begging him to acknowledge his presence so it was well deserved honestly) and no one paid much attention to him. Almost everyone in the fandom made a huge fuss about it.

The main issue here is that most of the fandom is in denial about a huge aspect of Klaus’s character or just see it as a apart of his so called “charm” aka MANIPULATION & LYING. Klaus is a master manipulator and a compulsive liar we have seen this trait throughout S1 because he used lying & manipulation as method to get money so he can score  drugs, and in S2 where he deceived, manipulated, and lied 1000+ of people some of them who are actually very smart, like that  lawyer and Jill who had scholarship to Berkeley, a black woman in 60’s had scholarship to a semi IV school and she gave it up to follow Klaus.

Klaus lies & manipulations are actually so very effective that  he was able to BRAIN WASH 1000+ of smart people for 3 years straight (and beyond because they still kept up Klaus’s cult going even after he left the 60’s) and  even leaving them/running away from them and telling the truth (not even actually trying that hard because he couldn’t care less about these people) wasn’t enough, he has  BRAINWASHED them  too strongly   that they would need a professional  to help them  to deprogram the brain washing Klaus has accomplished.

Now unlike those 1000+ of innocent people his family KNOWS  who he is, they grew up with him, they’re fell for his lies & manipulations countless of times until they realized that’s all they ever will be, Klaus has been “the boy who cried wolf” toooooooooooo many times for his family to ever believe him or take him in any serious manner,  they know for sure 99% of the time that whatever Klaus is talking/blabbing about is most likely 99% complete bullshit and they’re just fed up with it so when as far as they know (because he LIED to them about Ben ALL SEASON LONG, only Diego & Vanaya knew because of specific situations, other they two wouldn’t have known) Klaus is acting all “weird”  to them as far as  they know it’s just Klaus being his usual manipulative self acting out to get attention or just acting “weird” (which to them is perfectly normal by then) for the sake of it.

Klaus is a grown ass man, no one should blame the consequences of his actions on his siblings, and his actions is what got him in that situation in the first, the situation I’m referring to is that none of his siblings ever takes him seriously, he’s been manipulating and lying since his teenage years and he NEVER shown that he changed at all, his cult in S2 is yet another evidence that Klaus is 99% is fake, manipulating, and lying, he’s the one who choose to lie about/hide the fact that Ben was there all along he’s only suffering the consequences of his actions, so really it’s HIS OWN FAULT and NONE of the siblings should be upheld the responsibility of taking care of the second OLDEST sibling who REFUSES to take of himself, it’s already HORRIBLE enough that Ben is kind of FORCED to do so and has been doing it for the past 17 years as a ghost and for all the good he tried to do for Klaus he only got SHITTY TRETMENT, he has been taken advantage of, ignored, installed, and NOT once did Klaus ever thank him or was grateful to him or showed him and kind of caring.

I don’t want any of the rest (well maybe Vanya I couldn’t cares less about her) to end up in the same situation as Ben or get blamed for Klaus’s actions, behavior and the consequences of said actions, it’s NOT fair to put them the responsibility of their man child, second oldest brother on them, it’s NOT fair that the whole keeps pointing fingers at the siblings but NEVER on Klaus himself or demand he actually takes responsibility of HIS OWN ACTIONS.

all the fandom ever talks about how much of “cinnamon roll” (as if) however his HORRIBLE action are NEVER actually ever discuses ALL the SHITTY things he does or how he  FUCKED the history/destiny of over 1000 of innocent people just because he was bored then he did NOT care enough to even try and fix for REAL(he simply blames his followers for following him and NEVER ever admits he has done them any wrong) it’s completely glossed ever and just seen/taken as humor, just another “funny” Klaus thing, it’s NEVER taken seriously by the fandom, or the actual horror of cults and how they fuck up people with the brain washing, instead there are actually fans who found the idea of Klaus’s so appealing, they actually want to voluntarily to be BRAIN WASHED by HIS BULLSHIT which is just honestly sad & horrifying because NO one should ever romantzice  the idea brain washing and cults because there’s nothing good about them, it’s as bad as romantzicing toxic abusive relationship with 50 shades of grey movies or romantzicing Stockholm syndrome with 365 movie.

In conclusion the fandom should stop blaming/holding the other siblings the responsibility of Klaus’s actions & the consequences of his actions, they are NOT his care takers nor should they be expected to be his care takers.

tldr about religion

ok...me and the religion, i couldnt care less??? im gonna admit it i had a religious phase on my life where i used to went to church every sunday (i was like 10 or 11 i guess) and i enjoyed to read the bible because hey the stories were fun to hear n after all the priest said real stuff ,i liked the way he gave his speech/monologue, he never touched stuff about sexuallity was more how important is listen to people n give them comfort on hard times

but then my mother made me go to another church n....it was awful, was just a reunion about people talkin about their experences because he used to do drugs or they were alcoholic, n everyone sounded...so desesperate?? so brainwashed??? how they were like...GOD MADE THIS IM ONLY HIS TOOL....n crepped me the fuck out is when i stopped to go to church, also...i started to grow up for notice homophobic tendences between catholic and christian people (especially these ones) n how they fuckin FORCE YOU AND ATTACK u if u think different; n not just older people, people of my age...i remember when i was on my early adulthood (i was on the college, a very bad episode on my life) n....some people from my “campus” started to follow/stalk me on a mall...n they started to talk me about their “club” (or cult) n said something like “is because we have seen you on school....u are very different, we want to help you”...on a very creppy mood

also i remember a time when a woman talked me about the apocalipsis n asked me if i belivied on the hell i ansewered “this life can be also the living hell,so yeah i dont believe at all,sorry” n she got really mad when i wanted a good discusion i guess

also...my family...i have a very religious mom and my dad is an atheist....so...yeah is kinda hard pick a side; i understand if u use religion for cope with hard times....but being brainwashed that u arent useful n u have to be a perfect robot is wrong really wrong n im agaisnt about the people who uses god’s word for harm people; he/they/she is supposed to love you after all :/ its supposed to be a motivation i guess

so...yeah religion isnt bad, people are n....does god exist?? is what u decide BY YOURSELF
