follow up to my previous thoughts about the Aguefort Adventuring Academy:
i got more right than i expected, though there's definitely a lot that's being filled in around what we knew from freshman year.
Faculty Updates:
Introduced/Mentioned during the Episode:
Interim Principal: Emergency Backup Principal Arcturus Grix
This is definitely a construct of Aguefort's that's been reprogrammed to focus on an exact impression of "adventuring order".
Interim Vice Principal: Jace Stardiamond, the sorcery professor
Artificer Professor: Henry Something? The original name on payroll was Grunding Tomblast. (mentioned only, since Porter wouldn't recommend Gorgug)
Barbarian Professor: Porter Cliffbreaker. Suspicious and rude.
Bard Professor: Lucilla Lullaby (changed from music professor). Fey/Eladrin
Bardic Dance Teacher: Terpsichore Skullcleaver. Tiniest half-orc you've ever seen, always says what you need to hear even if it isn't what you'd expect.
Cleric/Religious Studies: Yolanda Badgood. Air genasi who broke up with a deity to pursue faith.
Fighter Professor: Corsica Jones (mentioned only, though we met her in the Seven)
Wizard Professor: Tiberia Runestaff. Originated in the Mountains of Chaos, very traditional old wizard now teaching the wizards of the Aguefort Adventuring Academy. Adaine desperately wants to impress her, and she gets called out for predictions.
We've gotten more information about the other professors though we already knew their names. Eugenia Shadow is the supposed rogue professor that must be found in order to get an A for the year.
Class Content:
For the Barbarians, Porter is an asshole that focuses on the destructive parts of rage rather than the protective elements.
We had a reference to Fighter classes and learning different fighting styles with Ms. Jones, though we didn't see it in this episode.
Cleric classes center around individual connection with a deity, as well as some discussion of spreading faith and proselytizing. Kristen is a very talented cleric who doesn't do homework and is struggling on her faith journey.
Rogue classes are more independent study; finding the professor is the win condition. If the class is based on self-motivated investigative work and research, I can understand why all of the rogues we've seen at Aguefort (Riz Gukgak, Penny Luckstone, Kipperlilly Copperkettle) are the way they are.
Bard Classes can come in a couple of different types: obviously there's the traditional class that Fig attended for the first time, as well as smaller concentrations like Fabian's dance class. The dance course seems to be a smaller track, with fewer students but a more intensive schedule. Granted, we're getting Fabian's multiclassed view of it, so it's not entirely accurate to the experience of a typical bardic dance student.
Wizard classes revolve around studying and practicing spells, as expected, but aren't taught with school endowed material components as I would have expected. Aguefort cares about a robust Wizard's education, but doesn't have classroom material components? He's making it a class of only privileged students. We can't have a poor wizard around here, can we.
Sidenote to that: we know now that Hudol places a focus on theoretical magic while Aguefort focuses on practical workings--actually practicing the skills needed to bind, conjure, enchant, etc.
Sidenote to the sidenote: I started looking into higher level wizard spells with high cost items as material components:
5th level:
create spelljamming helm (5000 gp crystal rod, consumed)
dawn (100 gp sunburst pendant)
legend lore (250 gp of incense, 200 gp of ivory strips)
infernal calling (999 gp ruby)
planar binding (minimum 1000 gp jewel, consumed)
scrying (1000 gp focus, such as a crystal ball, silver mirror, or font of holy water)
summon draconic spirit (500 gp object with engraved dragon iconography)
teleportation circle (inks infused with gems worth 50 gp)
6th level:
circle of death (500 gp black pearl)
contingency (1500 gp gem encrusted statuette)
create homunculus (1000 gp jeweled dagger)
create undead (150 gp black onyx stone per corpse)
drawmij's instant summons (1000 gp sapphire)
magic jar (500 gp gem/crystal/reliquary)
7th level:
create magen (500 gp quicksilver and human sized doll)
draconic transformation (500 gp dragon statuette)
forcecage (1500 gp ruby dust)
mordenkainen's sword (250 gp platinum sword)
plane shift (250 gp rod attuned to plane of choice)
sequester (5000 gp of diamond, emerald, ruby & sapphire dust)
simulacrum (1500 gp ruby dust)
symbol (1000 gp of mercury, phosphorus, diamond dust and opal)
8th level:
clone (1000 gp diamond, 2000 gp coffin/urn, cubic inch of flesh)
mighty fortress (500 gp diamond)
9th level:
astral projection (1000 gp jacinth + 100 gp carved bar of silver, per person affected)
gate (5000 gp diamond)
imprisonment (500 gp component per hit die of the target, changes depending on spell type: mithral orb for burial, precious metal chain for chaining, miniature jade prison for hedged prison, gemstone of corundum or diamond for minimus containment)
invulnerability (500 gp adamantine)
shapechange (1500 gp jade circlet)
so the request for 10 barrels of diamonds tracks; they need enough material components to be able to repeat the spells and practice them and that doesn't run cheap.
personal theory: when aguefort went to war with fallinel he pulled on the school's supplies of material components in order to cast on that scale, and he couldn't maintain it, so even stuff that wouldn't be consumed by the casting probably got dumped somewhere in fallinel or given away as reparations.
I'm also going to guess that in the lower grades, the students wouldn't be paying for everything, but rather paying something like a lab fee that took care of material components on a smaller scale.
Multiclassing:
There's a few things that have that this episode clarified:
If a student wants to multiclass on their transcript, they must fill out a request to their current class' professor in order to request a change to their courseload. The student may be prevented from attending their secondary or tertiary courses if their current professor believes that they cannot keep up with the increase in rigor, or if the student is underperforming in their current class. As shown with Porter, a teacher can technically refuse for other reasons (thinking the student isn't suited to the new class, or determining a lack of class compatibility). This recommendation is easier for some classes than others; it is simple to combine most martial classes, especially those that have compatible traits such as fighters and barbarians. However, it is difficult to combine classes that are prohibitive of each other; the example we have is Gorgug, since his barbarian rage prevents him from casting and holding concentration spells from his artificer levels in battle.
If they get approval, they must take the MCAT, or Multiclass Achievement Test, in order to prove competency in their secondary class. This functions as a way of proving that the student can enter the class at their current level and keep up with their peers.
Upon passing the MCAT, the student's courseload changes; rather than taking 4 semesters of one class, they will take 3 semesters of each class, presumably with some leveling to fit their particular split in multiclass. This results in a 150% courseload as opposed to single-classed students, with a high level of rigor, especially heading into the upperclassmen years
Quest Theory:
We got tacit confirmation from Brennan that the Bad Kids, and even the Seven are unusual for saving the world, when most Aguefort students are doing local dungeon crawls and going to school. This fits with my overleveling theory, especially if they're going to be going back to a major progression cycle as they did during freshman year. I highly doubt it, given the content and themes of this season, but I think the overall structure fits.
This also fits with my theory about D-F class quests; students may only need to complete one or more of these to pass the yearly quest. Technically, retrieving the Crown of the Nightmare King could have been considered a fetch quest, but there ended up being more to it than that. The Bad Kids haven't done traditional dungeon crawls, at least not from what we've seen. There are qualified adventuring parties in Spyre, but the Aguefort Adventuring Academy produces the 'premier parties of teen heroes' that go around addressing world-class threats.
The examples that we have of Solisian adventurers come from the Bad Kids' parents, and the Seven's parents. Sandra Lynn works with the Solisian rangers; the Applebees' (ew) work as paladins, guarding against threats from the Mountains of Chaos, presumably in tandem with the rangers. Karl Cleaver stayed with his party for decades--they went on a dungeon crawl in the 888th and 889th layers of the Abyss during the events of the Seven. There are adult adventurers, but it's made clear that they are dealing with everyday threats, while the teen heroes are out in the world causing problems and solving them.
To add to my previous theory: the Seven were given two weeks to investigate the disappearance of Tectonya Karkovnya and go on their GED quest. The Bad Kids got an extra week of spring break. This allowed them to get their world-saving done, but may have led to the accusations of special treatment.
Theories on the Season:
I'd wager that Kipperlilly and the Ratgrinders are trying to make Aguefort more egalitarian by getting rid of the Bad Kids' quest progress i.e. the reason they're overleveled and getting special treatment. The Rogue Professor seekign Kipperlilly out as opposed to her actually doing the work? Sounds like funny business to me.
Next episode is probably going to be the rest of the day of classes and the start of extracurriculars, based on the mentions of the bloodrush team and student government candidacy.
Riz looks like he's going to be in the driver's seat for seeking out the Bad Kids' academic and greater interests, though Fig is leaning in on the investigation of the Ratgrinders, and they're all full force on the presidential campaign. I think Gorgug's work as an artificer is going to come into play with the main plot if they're facing down the reprogrammed Arcturus Grix.

At the end of the day the average civilian wishes to be catered to like an old money steel baron or perhaps one of those chaps from Downton Abbey. The entirety of modern society has come together to enable this, mass-producing cheap facsimiles of fortunes that should rightly either be built on child labor or perhaps serfdom.
Their lawns, taking up what could otherwise be used to grow crops or serve as "outdoor garage space," exist to ape the wide ranging estates meant for the nobility to chase down a fox while adorned in silly jackets. Their houses sport columns and stupid windows meant to imitate three different classical artforms at the same time because of something called "economies of scale." They even have male-centric social clubs meant for parlour games, discussing sports, and dining with friends, in this case franchised out under such names as "Buffalo Wild Wings."
This aping of the upper class continues to the hire of "artisans" to do relatively simple work deemed too complicated to warrant the time of the average citizen. It's not that the jobs are too taxing for your average person, but rather that the market has crystallized around the desire to live like budget royalty. Therefore they take their wafer-thin computers to artisans (now more commonly called "experts" or "Apple geniuses") for repair and have democratized the position of carriagemen to 22 year old dealership lube techs named Ryan who will turn a 15 minute job into a 30 minute endeavor thanks to frequent vape breaks and a brief brush with what the industry refers to as "a misplaced drain bolt."
The mid-40s project manager and mother of 3 is no less competent when changing oil than her grandfather before her who knew what "Valve Lash" is, but what separates the two is a series of wars in the 1900s that required an entire generation of men to become very familiar with operating and repairing machines better than the Germans and Japanese (an exercise that Chrysler would later abandon in favor of the phrase "if you can't beat em, join em").
This conflict ended with a surge of able-bodied men finding themselves returning to their project management jobs (like their granddaughters after them) but armed with captured German weapons and a comprehensive understanding of tubochargers. Just as a line can be drawn from troop drawdowns to political violence, there's a distinct correlations between GIs returning home and the violence with which Ford Flathead V8s were torn apart by inventive supercharging methods paired with landspeed record attempts.
Give a man a racecar and he'll crash it on the salt flats in a day. Teach a man to repair a racecar and it will sit in the garage of his suburban house for a few years in between complete engine rebuilds required by what can only be described as "vaporized piston rods."
Of course this hotrodder generation created the circumstances we live in today, as the market saw their fast cars cobbled together from old prewar hulks and simply stamped out new ones from factory, faster and more convenient for the next generation than building one from scratch. Now the project manager mother of 3 drives a 4wd barge with climate controlled seats boasting more computing power than the moon mission and an emissions-controlled powertrain with more horsepower than her grandfather's jalopy and her fathers factory muscle car combined. And she doesn't care at all.
Yet Amongst the average civilians there walks a rare breed: people who know how to change their own oil. We the chosen move among you silently, bucking the system, operating outside the cultural helplessness and trading in forbidden knowledge in almost-abandoned forum threads (flame wars over conventional vs synthetic).
While we do have a marked air of superiority about this, I can't say I haven't stooped to imitating the rich myself. I've been known to wear a silly jacket from time to time.

Ramble about Bravely Default's offensive spells and why they're bad and how Bravely Second made it amazing
first of all i'm gonna mention that i will default to BD for bravely default and BS for bravely second in this, BD2 isn't gonna be mentioned much if at all. I will also note that this is mostly stated for boss encounters since regular encounters are so easy it barely matters what you use, any sort of AoE spammed enough will clear the encounter, This will also talk about Hard mode being the played difficulty (normal and especially casual mode you can literally run whatever and it'll work) BD has probably the worst magic in any "final fantasy" style RPG i've ever played, it's very strong SUPER early on (aka once you get it) and no further than the first optional asterisk holder it's already becoming so weak comparitively to the sheer damage output that thief and its massive agility stat lets you do, this is partially because of bosses not having many elemental weaknesses to exploit and also because rods don't give magic attack via proficiency, a Brawler and a Black Mage will get the exact same amount of magic attack from the same rod which holds back magic starting late Florem or early Eisen. It's also held back by Spell Fencer taking away what COULD be its niche, having elemental variety to exploit any and all weaknesses if a boss DOES have them (mostly crystal bosses). By the time you get Hunter especially there's no longer much reason to use magic at all offensively thanks to hawkeye taking away the one issue physical attacks could have, that being the chance of missing or whiffing to many hits, doubly so once you get the strongest class in the game aka Ninja. Lastly the amount of JP needed as well as magical damage support being incredibly scarce as the game goes on compared to physical support (merchant's crit boost, quick, agility boosting equipment and ofc spellblade) just makes it an awful feel to use it compared to mowing down enemies with pyhsical damage. Then comes BS and your literal first asterisk you get is wizard with the glorious Spellcraft ability, Spellcraft lets you change your spells with different properties, need a priority spell that does 1.5x its original damage/heal? level 2 of the class which you reasonably get before the bella/cu fight where you really want those lightning darts, enemy magic defense too high? at level 4 you get spellcraft: hammer which deals PHYSICAL damage based on your magic attack, it can also crit for double damage, the same spellcraft level also gives you mist which keeps the spell on the side you cast it on for a few turns, this can be used with healing spells or even REVIVES, the next spellcraft tier includes wall, a counter that casts the spell after getting hit by a physical attack and blast which turns the spell used into an AoE and boosts the effect of it. So yeah Wizards give you a massive utility boost right out of the start with any caster you get… and it somehow also has the highest intelligence stat in the game + the now SCALING magic attack rods which lets you use magic offensively throughout the game… especially with the last spellcraft tier where you get spellcraft: Rain, changing the spell to be cast four times with no effect boost besides that.
This works with meteor and every hit does capped out damage and with the right setup you can do this 14 times per full brave turn, that is 56 capped damage hits which no boss in the game can survive. But it costs a ton of MP so unless there's a simple way to take care of that you really won't be able to spam it...
thankfully MP free in a pinch + ghost status turns these frail glass canons into a zero risk maximum reward team setup that obliterates the entire game and you can get that setup going at around 60% of the game being complete. Now how does physical stack up to that? well, magic is far easier to use in BS but physical builds have a lot of neat new tools too, fencer in particular is such a good class that it's worth using as a sortof hybrid tank and DPS or main DPS. thanks to spellcraft on Supportive magic like keeping up buffs every turn, immediately rebuffing someone with dart after they were just revived it doesn't really matter what kind of build you go for, hell use both magic and physical in the same team it's ABSOLUTELY viable in this game because Bravely Second is probably the most free "just go nuts it'll work somehow" class based RPG i've ever played and that's likely going to stay that way
On that note just to have it mentioned, BD2 also has good class balance as long as you ignore beast tamer and freelancer overshadowing the other classes as main jobs due to sheer stats, the game also has a good mix of phys and magic balance so it's another sorta "just use whatever lol" game, but not to the degree of BS

Numenera Oddities
So. Numenera does the thing I love from D&D 5e, and that is trinket tables. Or, in this case, oddity tables.
Oddities are ancient salvaged techno-magical items that aren’t necessarily directly useful, like the more powerful one-shot cyphers or reusable artefacts, but are more there for the flavour of the world. Characters often start with them, GM assigned, and I assume you can find more of them out and about. And … I do love them. These are from the Oddity Table on pgs 305-307 of the Discovery corebook, and they’re just … so illustrative of this future fantasy, scavenger world, 'remants of past civilisations' setting.
I think one of the things that I most love is that, from the characters’ POV, in their medieval fantasy setting, these are inscrutable artefacts of a bygone civilisation, but from our POV, with our technology, you can so clearly see what some of them are intended to be:
26 – Series of thin plastic cards that show all kinds of unknown creatures. (Somebody had trading cards or card games during the past billion years)
20 – Plastic bottle that contains a spray that cleans any stain and never runs out. (Somebody finally invented a universal household cleaner, an infinite universal household cleaner, I bet they made an absolute mint)
30 – Metallic jar that maintains the temperature of liquid inside indefinitely. (Somebody made an improved thermos)
60 – Cup that instantly boils any liquid poured into it. (As well as an instant tea/instant pot noodle/instead meal cup)
33 – Small wand-like device that keeps away normal insects in a 5ft radius. (As well as mobile personalised insect zappers)
55 – Shirt that displays your muscles, bones and internal organs when you wear it. (And, for whatever reason, a portable x-ray shirt? Was this a practical invention first, for field x-rays, or was it for funsies, or both?)
58 – Bracelet with a tiny bell charm that rings like a massive bell when intentionally rung. (Personal protective device?)
80 – A bracelet that rends you unable to reproduce while worn. (An easy, non-invasive contraceptive device, interesting)
76 – Ceramic ring that makes you feel as though gentle hands are caressing your body. (As well as a possible sex toy? Or aide for touch-hunger? Not going to lie, if I touched this with no context and no idea what it was going to be, I’d freak the hell out)
79 – A pair of small, floating cubes that keep a small, enclosed room at the temperature at which water freezes. (Portable refrigeration)
Like, a lot of these are clearly futuristic novelty items or household appliances, as well as some more in-depth and casual medical technology. And I love that? I love that. You’re in a medieval fantasy scavenger world where the detritus of past super-futuristic civilisations litter your world, and you’re there picking up random bits of ancestor junk and trying from your own frame of reference to figure out what the fuck they had going on.
Some of the oddities are a bit more inscrutable even from our POV.
7 – Box with a tiny group of musicians in it who play when it is opened and look horrified when it is closed. (Now, this could be a novelty item again, but this is also a setting where ancient crystal obelisks eat people and trans-dimensional portals and pocket dimensions are also a thing, so … not beyond the bounds of possibility that those are live and enslaved musicians getting shunted into a pocket stasis dimension every time you close the lid)
And some have a language barrier in effect:
16 – Small rod that emits a voice saying the same thing in an unknown language every time a button is pushed. (Could be anything from a personal memo to an ancient distress call)
47 – Five metallic plates that orbit around your head and display ever-changing, unknown symbols. (I fucking love this one, if I was a scholar in this world I would dedicate my life to figuring out this language from the presumption that those symbols are some form of reading from me and if I can just figure out what they’re reading from what symbols show when, maybe I can Rosetta stone this language out? I mean, that’s a lot of assumptions, but you’d have to at least try, right?)
There’s also a series of oddities that are clearly communication/monitoring devices:
17 – Glass plate that shows what seems to be a live image of the moon, but from a closer vantage.
43 – Glass cube that shows what seems to be a live aerial view of an unknown, ruined city.
89 – Plate of glass that, when you view the night sky through it, reveals ten times as many stars.
And we, the players, know that the setting does have ancient satellites still in orbit around the planet, full of nanomachines and other ancestors-know-what. So these are clearly receivers for satellite feeds, or possibly in the last case a light-pollution filter. Though I’d be interested to know if that last one is a live image, or if it’s an image of the stars of this world several million years ago.
And then, in the midst of all that, there are several oddities that are clearly just art, or novelties, or just for fun:
57 – Amulet that, when worn, projects holographic images of fish swimming around you.
Is this a nightlight? A holographic art piece? A fun fashion accessory? I don’t know, but I desperately want one, and no matter how useless it is, I would not sacrifice this one oddity for any number of more useful cyphers or artefacts. It’s pretty, and I love it.
I love the design philosophy of these, the illustration of the world and its history that they provide. And, I mean, some of them, like D&D trinkets, can also function as plot hooks. Where is that unknown city on the live feed? Are those musicians real people trapped in a horrifying pocket dimension? Could you Rosetta-stone one of the ancient languages from that metallic plate device, and if you could, what other, potentially more powerful secrets would it unlock?
They’re just … I love trinkets. I love environmental worldbuilding, I love archaeology, I love the illustration of setting inherent in physical objects. These are fantastic.
Trinket tables are the best. Honestly, if you are designing a game, do put in a class of objects that don’t exist for any mechanical, game purpose, but are just there to show your world. To show the ethos of your world via the tiny details and physical objects that populate it.
Also, this game appears to be, to a large extent, ‘fantastic archaeology: the setting’, and I’m here for it. Absolutely!

· • —– ٠ ✡ ٠ —– • ·
It was a week after the U.S.J accident. Kirishima decided to report the fact that the villain that attacked the redhead himself and his friend knew the blonde. Katsuki Bakugou was then interrogated to know what he knows about the villain. He explained how she was an old classmate and her name is Y/N L/N, but must’ve changed it into Jinx, leaving out the reason she’s targeting him. It was a full day, getting asked questions but he finally finished and was able to go back home.
With Jinx, she was planning the perfect revenge that involves her beloved babies! She plans to torture the blonde with all her gadgets and even torture him mentally, how she knew about his terrible personality, how he harassed students, and even about the snarky comment to poor Izuku Midoriya. Oh sweet, sweet revenge.
Back in U.A, Bakugou tries to convince the teachers to at least reason with the H/C girl, saying that she's just been misguided (shocking to be coming from him). Midoriya, as an old classmate of hers, also asks to try to reason with the villain, stating the same reason as Bakugou's. But U.A didn't really believe them since she was part of the League Of Villains group.
As the weeks went by, the problem was forgotten as they prepared for the Quirk Training Camp for class 1A and 1B. Little did they know, LOV decided to join in the fun. And with a few new members, they were ready to invade.
⭒☆━━━━☆⭒
On top of a mountain, away from the naked eye, stood the LOV.
“Mmm!! I mean, I don’t like this. It’s not cute.” A blonde girl complained, adjusting the mask to fit her face. “This was made by the designer behind the scenes, right? Appearances don't matter, as long as it’s useful.” A guy in a middle school uniform and a green firefighter hat and a smoke mask said. “I’m not talking about that! I just don’t wanna wear it!” She whined. “Hi!! Sorry for the wait.” Another villain appeared from the shadows with shoulder length brown hair. “Work…work…” A villain, covered in black leather with only his mouth visible but was forced open with metal rods, repeatedly said. A lizard looking dude also appeared, along with some others, including a certain H/C. “That makes eight.” A raspy voice counted.
“I don’t care, just let me at ‘em. I’m getting too pumped up.” One of them demanded, A burnt looking man turned his head to look behind him, “Shut up, you crazy bastards.” He said with an annoyed tone. “Not yet.” He reminded them, “We’ll move when all eleven of us are here.” He smiled widely with his eyes widened, looking down at the rest of the forest. “Gathering a bunch of punks who are just strong will only increase the risk. It’s better to have a small group of experienced elites.” He said.
“First, we make them realize.. That their peace is resting in our hands.”
⭒☆━━━━☆⭒
Class 1A and 1B were having the time of their life! Training hard to improve their Quirks to become the ideal hero they hoped for themselves, while the extra lessons students weren’t having that much fun as their energy was drained from their bodies. The hero agency they were staying with, The Wild, Wild Pussycats, planned an activity for both classes to participate, except for the ones who failed the practical exam. A class would have to scare the most students of the other class who would be walking through a path around the forest property of the agency. It was called "The Test Of Courage." Class 1A would be the scarees and 1B would be the scarers first. Class 1A pulled out a piece of paper to determine their partner for the test. Each pair would have to find cards with their names on it in the middle of the route in order to win, they had 3 minutes to do so before switching with another pair of students.
After grouping the students, they finally started off the challenge. Time went by as the screams of students roared the forests until group number 5 was next. “Ribbit-kitty, Uraraka-kitty, go!!!” A pussycat member yelled.
The two girls, Uraraka and Tsuyu, walked along the dense forest’s path in great fear. “I’m scared, Tsu… There are so many screams…” She whispered softly to the green haired girl. “Kyoka and Toru, huh? Let’s hold hands.” Tsuyu said, “It’s fine, I’m not scared.” She assured, extending her hand out for Uraraka to hold. “Let’s go.” She encouraged the brunette as they walked deeper into the forest.
Three students of 1B were laughing away at their amazing scares to class 1A. One of the students smelled something odd. “Hey, doesn’t it smell like something is burning?” She pointed out. “Huh? Now that you mentioned it, it suddenly got smoky…” One of them realized. A sudden smoky purple mist quickly spread around their area. “Did Bakugou and Todoroki get so scared, they fired off their quirks?” He jokingly said but suddenly he stopped in his words when he suddenly felt sleepy and passed out, causing both his classmates to worry. “Honenuki?!” An orange haired girl called out and was sent in shock when he felt hard on the ground.
“Yui! Don’t breathe it in!” She called out, using her Quirk, Big Fist, to cover her friend. She covered her nose as well, she looked around as she took in everything around her. ‘This smoke.. It’s poisonous!’
Back in camp with the rest of the students, one of the Pussycats smelled the air, taking in the burnt smell. ‘What is this smell?’ She wondered. “That’s…” A student pointed out, the two pro heroes looked out to see black smoke. Students started to worry about the smoke that was emanating from somewhere. Suddenly a huge explosion came out of nowhere! Creating more smoke around the forest.
Deep inside the forest, the cause of the burning smell and black smoke was a burnt looking man with dark purple scars, using his quirk to fire a tree to create smoke to fear the students and heroes. The cause of the explosion was a H/C girl, creating crystals out of nothing from her hands and smashing them to the ground to create them.
“Now… It begins..”
Suddenly one of the pro heroes got grabbed and was pulled away from the students. “Pixie-bob!” One of the students called out.
Uraraka and Tsuyu, unaware of the rising problem, walked deeper and deeper into the woods, unknowing a certain blonde ready to attack them.
Pixie-bob was on the ground, a metal that was covered with cloth was pressed against the side of her forehead, causing it to bruise and bleed. “These pet cats are in the way.” The villain spoke. Mineta slowly stepped back in fear, “Wh-Why?” He cowardly asked. “I thought they made double sure…” He muttered. “Why are villains here?!” He yelled in fear.
“Pixie-bob!” Midoriya called out, running towards her but was stopped by the two other Pussycats. “Oh no..” One of them muttered. Midoriya realized that her nephew, Kota, wasn’t with her.
‘Kota!!”
“We, the Vanguard Action Squad of the League of Villains, will take care of them.”
⭒☆━━━━━━━☆⭒
“Isn’t it fun, Dabi?” A villain asked, smiling widely as she threw her explosive crystals to the ground. “Shut up, you crazy child…” He groaned. “Child? I’m 16!!” She whined, “But you act like a child..” He replied back. “Hmph! Rude burnt nugget.” She insulted, turning back and starting to walk away. “I’m gonna go with Mr. Compress, I heard we have to collect someone.” She inform but Dabi couldn’t care less. “I don’t give a fuck, just go you lunatic.” He spat and she laughed it off, “My bully in middle school did worse! You can’t hurt me!!” She yelled out as she walked further away from her old position.
⭒☆━━━━☆⭒
“How are you on this fine evening, U.A High School?” The lizard looking villain asked, “We are the Vanguard Action Squad of the League of Villains!” He introduced proudly with his arms out. “The League of Villains?!” Ojiro repeated, “Why are they here?” He muttered. “Shall I crush this lady’s head? What d’you think?” The villain asked, pressing harder on her head. “Well, what do you think?” She asked again. “Like I’d let you, you!-” Tiger was enraged from seeing his comrade being pressed against the ground by the huge block of metal. “Wait, Big Sis Mag! Don’t be hasty! You too, Tiger.” The Lizard said, cutting off Tiger’s words. “It all depends on whether having power over life and death follows Stain’s tenets or not.” He said. “Stain..!” Midoriya muttered, remembering the Hero Killer, Stain.
“So you’re the ones his ideology brought?” Iida asked, already having his fighting stance. “That’s right!” The villain confirmed, joyfully admitting with his arms out. “I’m– Oh yea, you, with the glasses!” He was just about to introduce himself when he recognized Iida’s appearance. You were the one who put an end to Stain at Hosu City.” The lizard realized. “I apologize for my late introduction.” He apologized with a grin, taking out a covered weapon to reveal a leather stick with hundreds of sharpened swords and knives attached to it by some leather belts. “I’m Spinner, the one who will bring his dreams into reality!” He introduced.

Back in the forest, there were students from 1B and pairs of 1A trying to get out of the forest and follow Mandalay’s orders to get back to camp. Kendo, a student from 1B, ran as fast as she could with her two friends in her fists. She suddenly stopped when she heard noises from the bushes and her name being called out. It was her classmate, Tetsutestu with Ibara in his arms. “Tetsutetsu, Ibara! What’s with the masks?” Kendo asked, “Yaoyorozu from class 1A made them! Awase’s showing her the locations of the other 1B students so they can go rescue them!” He explained. “Hurry, grab one! I got a bunch on me.” He said, turning to his side so Kendo could grab them. She put her two friends out of her fist and grabbed masks for herself and the others. “Thanks!” She thanked him, already putting on the mask on her face.
“We need to get back to camp. It’s dangerous out here since we don’t know where the villains are.” She said, “No, I’m going to fight too.” Tetsu declined. “Protect Shiozaki and Kodai.” He ordered Kendo. “Huh?! But Mandalay said not to fight!” She argued. “You’re always rebuking Monoma but didn’t you feel it in your heart somewhere? The difference between our class and 1A’s?” Testu asked. “I’ve been feeling it! We got into U.A with the same exam, studying the same curriculum. What’s the difference? It’s obvious! What they had that we didn’t… A crisis! They turned their crises into chances! It’s only natural! How can a hero turn their back on wrongdoers?” Testu wholeheartedly said, “Testutestu!” The orange haired girl said to stop him from going. “Don’t try to stop me, Kendo.” Testu ordered, “If we don’t stand now, then when will we?” He said, “I’ll definitely find the villains and beat the living daylights out of them!!” Testu said in determination.
“Woah!! That’s a really good speech!”
A sudden voice spoke from the depths of the forest, catching the three conscious students off guard. ‘A villain!’ Kendo noticed, looking around frantically for the villain. “I just love the determination heroes have! I used to have that..” The voice spoke again, “Show your face! Stop being a coward!” Testu yelled out. “Man.. You’re no fun!” The voice groaned. The ravenhead of the group suddenly saw a figure in the branches. From H/C H/L hair, to the clothes, and the expression. “Oh?” Someone spoke, dashing out of their hiding spot, they pounced onto the ravenhead. “You’re super cute!! D’you have a partner? The villain smiled.
Kendo quickly used her quirk to push the villain off, making them bash into a tree. “Tch! You’re no fun!!” The villain angrily yelled, brushing off the chipped wood off their body. Revealing their figure from the shadows, “You haven’t even let me introduce myself! But I’ll forgive you for that.” They smiled. Kendo and Testu kept on a fighting stance as they prepared for the worst. “My name’s Jinx! It’s a pleasure to meet class 1B! I honestly like you guys better, very underrated.” She said with a smile. “How did you know that?” Kendo asked cautiously. “The sports festival! Testutestu, you have a very similar quirk to Kirishima, perhaps you both are related?” She asked, slowly walking towards the students. “What? Actually- Are we?” Testu muttered, his guard down as he tried to think of an answer.
“You guys are really boring… Hmm.. Bye!!” She said before creating a crystal out of nowhere and smashed it into the ground, creating an explosion that took her off the ground and away from them.
“Wait!!” Kendo called out but it was too late, the H/C villain was already gone.
⭒☆━━━━☆⭒
Everywhere in the forest was pure chaos. Midoriya was going to fight Muscular, a villain who killed Kota’s parents, to protect Kota himself and back in camp were students who had extra lessons and the pro heroes who were busy with their own company.
But all of that chaos was unknown from Bakugou and Todoroki’s perspective.
“DAMN IT!!” Bakugou angrily said, stomping along with Todoroki with his hand covering his face to prevent smelling the gas that was emanating from the forest. “Is this gas a villain’s quirk?” Todoroki wondered with a soft voice, carrying a student from 1B on his back. “I’m worried about the others, but we don’t have a choice.” He said, looking at Bakugou. “We’ll avoid the finish line and get back to camp.” He instructed, looking back straight ahead.
Amidst the forest was Mr. Compress, waiting for the signal. He suddenly heard rustling and quickly turned around to only be spooked by Jinx. “BOO!!” She shouted, giving him a scare. “My goodness! You gave me a fright, Jinx!” He expressed. “Hehe, sorry!” She apologized. “Anyways~ Watchu doin’?” She asked with a curious tone. “I’m waiting.” He replied, “Waiting for what?” She asked again. “The signal.” He responded. “What signal?” She asked again.
“The signal to capture our new recruit.” He responded which Jinx nodded, confirming that she now understood. “Who are we recruiting? Is it one of the students? Oo! Someone my age for once!!” She clapped her hands together in excitement. Mr. Compress chuckled in amusement, “Yes, it’s one of the students. Shigaraki said he will be very viable for us.” He confirmed.
“YIPEE!!” She yelled loudly, jumping up and down the single branch she was sitting on. She jumped a bit too hard and caused the branch to snap and she fell down hard onto the ground. “Ouch! I’m okay!!” She assured loudly and gave a thumbs up with a smile. Mr. Compress just gave her a thumbs up back but she didn’t know that he was smiling in amusement. ‘Such a lovely kid, such a shame society failed her.’ He thought before looking around for that recruit.
[Extra]
A few weeks ago, Mr. Compress has just been recruited. He walked up to Jinx, “Would you like to be my assistant? You have a quite similar Quirk to mine.” He asked her, “Really?! Absolutely!!!” Jinx excitedly agreed, hugging Mr. Compress and lifting him up with her strength out of joy. “Thank you!! Thank you!!” She thanked him with such joy.
⭒☆━━━━☆⭒
[SKIP AGAIN]
Deku quickly jumped off the cliff where he left Muscular, a villain he defeated, buried into a dent of the cave he punched him into with Kota on his back. He thought back to what Muscular asked.
“Where’s the kid called Bakugou?”
Deku had a bad feeling about it, he was worried about the state of Bakugou now that he had a feeling the villains wanted to capture him.
He quickly dashes through the forest. ‘Almost there!!’ He estimated. “Hey, look!!” Kota pointed out loudly. Deku looked at where Kota was looking at and it was Eraserhead! “Mr. Aizawa!” Midoriya called out to his teacher who stopped to look, “Midori-” He stopped his sentence and realized that Midoriya was shirtless with two broken arms and with Kota on his back. “It’s terrible right now! There are a lot of things I need to tell you!” Midoriya spoke in his frantic state.
Midoriya kept on rambling about how he had to tell Mandalay and how he had to bring Kota back but he was cut off by the calls by his teacher. “I said hey!” Aizawa said, finally catching Midoriya’s attention. “Please take care of Kota!” Midoriya pleaded to him. Midoriya started to ramble a bit again but all Aizawa could think of was that Midoriya was in no state to keep on running and helping the situation de-escalate.
“Please!” He pleaded again and ended up dashing into the forest again before Aizawa got the chance to talk. “Wait- Midoriya!” He called out, Deku stopped to hear his words. “Those injuries… You did it again, didn’t you?” “Did you forget what happened in Hosu?” Aizawa reminded him. “For uncertified individuals to cause injury with their Quirks without specific instruction from their guardians or supervisors is a clear violation of the rules.” Those words from the hound dog back in Hosu repeated in Midoriya’s mind.
“No, but..” He was about to protest but had no reason to, “So tell Mandalay this..” Aizawa said before telling Deku about everything that he wanted to share with the rest of the students.
In the camp, everyone was fighting hard. Just as Mandalay was gonna get hit, two feet landed hard on Spinner’s weapon. “Mandalay! Kota’s fine!” Midoriya said, assuring the pro hero was shocked by his arrival, “You..!” She remembered. Midoriya fell with a slide onto the ground, “And here’s a message to Mr. Aizawa! Tell everyone with Telepath!” He pleaded.
“Everyone in 1A and 1B! In the name of the pro hero, Eraserhead, you are granted permission to engage in combat!” Midoriya said loudly for her to hear. She quickly nodded and repeated those exact words to every single student that was in the forest.
After she finished, she ordered Midoriya to get back to camp immediately because of his abnormal injuries. Midoriya denied and asked to send one more message.
“The villains. At least one of their targets is… They’re after Kacchan!”
⭒☆━━━━☆⭒
[I’m going to spare the wait and just give the main event!!]
Todoroki and Bakugou just saved Tokoyami by using their Quirks to calm Dark Shadow who was destroying everything in its path.
“Tokoyami, are you alright?” Shoji walked up to Tokoyami with Midoriya on his back. “You did a good job doing what we asked.” He praised Tokoyami. “Sorry Shoji…” He apologized, feeling truly guilty for his actions. “You too, Midoriya.. I was too immature. I let my anger take over and released Dark Shadow… The influence of the darkness and my anger spurred on that guy…” He added, looking down at his shaking hands. “In the end, it got so strong that I couldn’t hold it back and ended up hurting Shoji.” He blamed himself. “We can leave that for later. That’s what you would say, right?” Shoji said, shocking Tokoyami from his statement. He looked up to see Shoji looking at him with such kind eyes with Midoriya who was behind him, smiling an assuring smile.
“Oh right! We confirmed that one of the villain’s targets is Kacchan.” Midoriya said, quickly getting back into serious matters. “Bakugou? Are they trying to kill him? Why?” Shoji asked. “I don’t know. Anyways, I think the camp is the safest place since there are two pros, Vlad King and Mr. Aizawa, there.” Midoriya said.  Bakugou was looking at the 3 talking in a pure confused state. “I see, so now our mission is to escort Bakugou there, correct?” Tokoyami asked in confirmation.
Midoriya continued to explain the situation back in the campsite, how the Pussycats were still fighting and that going through that path would bring attention from the villains and they would lose time. He then suggested a shortcut, cutting straight across the forest. “We don’t know how many villains there are. We might come across one suddenly” Shoji presented a con. “We could use Shoji’s search ability. And we have Todoroki’s freezing, and if Tokoyami is okay with it, an invincible Dark Shadow with built-in controls..” Midoriya suggested.
After that, they began walking through the forest according to plan with Bakugou complaining about the arrangement. Along the way, they were met with Uraraka and Tsuyu who were up against a villain named Toga Himiko, a name they learned later on.
Tsuyu then pointed out with a question after Midoriya explained that they were escorting Bakugou back to camp because of his big target on his back, “You’re protecting Bakugou? Where is Bakugou?” Midoriya was surprised at first, “What are you saying? Kacchan is right behind–” He looked behind to see Bakugou missing! Where has he gone?
“Katsuki Bakugou?” An unknown voice sounded out of nowhere, making Midoriya look up to the source. “I took him with my magic.” The man with an orange coat was standing atop of a branch of a tree. Tossing the marble with Bakugou inside, he said, “This talent isn’t someone who should be on the hero's side.” “We’ll take him on a stage where he can shine more.” He explained. “So! You’re telling me he’s the recruit?” Another voice, a female one, sounded from another branch. “Yes, Jinx. I apologize if this inconveniences you.” He apologized.
‘Y/N!!’ Midoriya looked up to see Jinx on another branch. “Midoriya?! You have a Quirk? That’s certainly an amazing miracle! I really envy you for having such a powerful Quirk!” She said, sitting down on the branch. Midoriya looked back to Mr. Compress with an angered look on his face, “Give him back!” He demanded.
“Give him back? That’s a strange thing to say. Bakugou doesn’t belong to anyone. He’s his own person, you egoist.” He said back. “And also, why would you want him back? He has been nothing but awful to you.” Jinx jumped in. “Awful?” Todoroki naively asked, “Yes! Awful! He bullied sweet little Izuku because he didn’t have a quirk. Even though Izu has one now, he didn’t have one back in Middle school and Kacchan treated him horrible. And that snarky comment!” Jinx explained. “Do you know it? Katsuki Bakugou said, “Just pray that you’ll be born with a quirk in your next life, and take a swan dive off the roof of the building!” To Midoriya, baiting him with suicide! He told Midoriya to go kill himself! An aspiring hero said that, to a Quirkless boy, no doubt!” She finally said it, she exposed him to that terrible statement he said to Midoriya.
“Give him back!!” Midoriya yelled once more, Todoroki quickly asking Shoji to move before releasing a spike of ice towards Mr. Compress and then at Jinx. They both jumped away from the students, catching them off guard. “The path he’s on now with its fanatical values is not the only path he can take. Kids these days are made to choose their paths based on their values.” Mr. Compress said, holding onto his hat to prevent it from falling before landing down softly on a tree with Jinx by his side.
Shoji looked behind him and realized that Tokoyami wasn’t with them and told Midoriya who also just realized. “To go out of your way to talk to us… You’re underestimating us.” Todoroki said, glaring at the villain. “I was originally an entertainer, you know? It’s a bad habit of mine.” The villain said, twirling a marble on his fingers. “Taking Tokoyami was simply an improvisation on my part.” He explained, revealing a second marble.
“You bastard!! Don’t take them!!!” Midoriya yelled with anger. “Calm down, Midoriya!” Shoji said, trying to calm his friend down. Todoroki was enraged, quickly asking Uraraka to hold the 1B student he had on his back and quickly stepped hard on the ground and released an entire mountain sized ice attack towards Mr. Compress and Jinx.
“Sorry! Tricks and running away are my only redeeming features!! There’s no way I’d fight students who are heroes in training.” Mr. Compress said loudly from a far which left Todoroki surprised. “Here’s a trick to keep you entertained!!” Jinx said before creating a crystal and threw it hard onto Todoroki’s ice which set off a huge F/C explosive which left the group’s ears ringing which bought them some time to leave.
“Vanguard Action Squad! Target successfully collected! It was just a short while, but with this, our show has come to a close!! As arranged, head to the retrieval point in the next five minutes!!” Mr. Compress reported. “And if you’re late, we’ll leave you behind!~” Jinx sing songy said before hanging up with Mr. Compress.
“Come to a close..?”
⭒☆━━━━☆⭒
“Huh? No one else is here yet?” Toga was first to arrive. “You lunatic, did you get the blood? How many people’s worth?” Dabi called out to her. “One person’s worth!” She proudly said. “Just one?!” Twice joined in. “Weren’t you supposed to get at least three??” He complained. “It couldn’t be helped. I thought I was going to be killed.” She sadly responded. “Anyways–”
They continued talking when Dabi noticed something from afar. Mr. Compress was suddenly pushed onto the ground with 3 students of 1A on his back with Jinx beside him, shocked by the attack but couldn’t act on time in the air.
“Hey, hey, hey, hey!!” Twice said in a panicked voice. “I know these kids!!” He recognized them. “Who are they?!” His second personality said.
⭒☆━━━━☆⭒
“KACCHAN!!!”
There was a quick fight. The 1A students successfully got Tokoyami back but lost Bakugou in the hands of Dabi who was already in the portal and was out of reach. Everyone was rather distressed about it. Kirishima is trying to get Midoriya to join him to try to save him but Midoriya and his classmates said otherwise. Not because they didn’t want to save him but the amount of restrictions they have as heroes in training and that Eraserhead’s permission was dismissed so they had their hands tied.
When Todoroki and Midoriya had some time alone, he wanted to ask him something. “That thing that Jinx said.. ABout Bakugou telling you to go die… Is that true?” He hesitantly asked Midoriya. Midoriya stayed silent for a while before responding, “Yes, but it’s all in the past and I’m sure he didn’t mean it.” Midoriya smiled at Todoroki. “It’s a serious offense, are you sure you’re that okay?” Todoroki asked. “Yes, I’m sure.” Midoriya assured him.
In the little bar base, the League of Villains tries again to pursue Bakugou into joining them.
“I’ll ask you one more time, aspiring hero, Katsuki Bakugou.. Will you join us?” Shigaraki asked once more, every single member staring at the student who was strapped onto a metal chair with many leather straps and a huge cuboid shaped metal trapping his hands to prevent his Quirk from activating and attacking them.
Bakugou just simply smirked and said, “If you’re gonna talk in your sleep, you should go do that and die.” With his snarky tone, glaring at Shigaraki. “Why did you even join these extras? You’re way better than them.” He said, turning his attention to Jinx, “You were second best, you had the second highest scores after me.” Jinx just chuckled darkly and walked out of the shadows and stood beside Shigaraki. “You know.. It’s funny how you still try to keep your ego by saying “You were second best after me” I mean, come on? Are you trying to keep your ego or trying to “change” me?” Jinx said, sounding sarcastic at the word, “Change.”
The TV started playing. It was Mr. Aizawa, Vlad King, and Mr. Nezu, presented on TV for the accident at the training camp. They addressed the press and apologized for their actions. Just as they started the questionnaire, Shigaraki turned off the TV.
“It’s so strange..” Shigaraki started, “Why are the heroes being criticized?” He questioned, sounding “upset” by the heroes’ situation. “The way they were dealing with things was just a little off the mark.” He complained. “Is it because it’s their job to protect? Everyone makes a mistake or two. Are they supposed to be perfect?” He wondered. “Modern-day heroes are so uptight. Don’t you think, Bakugou?” He asked the ashy blonde.
“Once heroes receive compensation to protect people, they aren’t heroes anymore.” Spinner, a wannabe Stain, said. “That is Stain’s teaching.” He explained.
“The strange system of transforming people’s lives into money or glory… The society that sticks tight to those rules… The citizens who blame the losers rather than encourage them.. Our fight is to question: What is a hero? What is justice? Is this society truly just? We’ll have everyone thinking about it. We’re planning on winning. You like winning, too, right?” Shigaraki boasted with a grin on his face but was covered by an ashy decay-like hand attached to his crusty, non-moisturized, ugly face.
“Dabi, release his restraints.” Dabi turned to Shigaraki with a confused face. “What? He’s gonna attack, y’know?” Dabi pointed out. “It’s fine! We need to treat him like an equal, since we’re recruiting him.”  Shigaraki assured with his arms out as a form of “rest assurement” towards the entire group. “Equal my ass..” Jinx mumbled.
This conversation went on long enough until All Might saved the day by pretending to be a pizza delivery guy before bashing an entire opening in the abandoned bar. The group was captured and was restrained by wood by Kamui Woods. Shigaraki was distressed and yelled his words in anger towards the heroes. A splash of goo turned into a massive amount of goo spilling out of the LOV’s mouths and suddenly, they vanished within the goo that engulfed them!
The group was saved by All For One. They tried their best to keep Bakugou within their grasp but a small group of 1A students, consisting of Midoriya, Yamomo, Todoroki, Kirishima, and Iida, who came all this way from the hospital to save Bakugou.
Jinx became furious, breathing heavily in anger. She couldn’t let him go so easily! The voices in her head were speaking loudly in her head, messing her up. She grabbed her grappling hook like weapon and blasted towards Bakugou. It latched onto his legs and she pulled him back, making him lost grip on Kirishima’s hand. He was pulled by Jinx who grabbed him hard on the arm and ran with him to somewhere no one knows.
“BAKUGOU!!” Kirishima yelled from the sky as he felt Bakugou lose his grip.
Jinx dragged him to a small abandoned lower level apartment. It was her hideout, her home. She put him on a chair and tied him up, using a similar metal to restrain him from using his quirk. She sighed, “We’re finally alone. Just, the two of us.” She said, walking at an even pace around him. “You seem to have good friends, they cared so much for you!” She complimented. “I wished I had that.” She hopefully said, with her head done with a smile as she looked at the ground. “But, you were the one to have that. How lucky.. You have always been lucky.” She felt envy towards him for having a better life than him.
“Y/N, let me go. We can sort this out with U.A and the pro heroes. It doesn’t have to be this way.” Bakugou tried to pursue her. But that hit a nerve in her body.
“Heroes? What nonsense!”
“How dare he say that!!”
“He’s lying!”
“He’s just like ####!!!!”
Voices became the scream in her head, scribbles all around the place, creating monsters, drawn devil horns and an evil face doodle on Bakugou face. The voices became stronger, washing over Bakugou’s words.
“Y/N, listen to me. You don’t need all of this.”
“Yes you do!”
“He thinks he has the privilege to say that?!”
“He has a better life than you and he says that?”
“I can help you!”
“No one can help you, you’re nothing but a Jinx!”
“JUST SHUT UP!!!!” She yelled loudly, shocking Bakugou by the sudden yell. She breathed heavily, practically having smoke come out of her nostrils like an angry dragon. She turned towards Bakugou.
“You were nothing but mean to me. You used to hit me, kick me, make me almost go deaf by your explosions! What did you call that one move where you exploded so many times in my ears? Oh, right! “Boom boom! Bye bye ears!” Not very creative if you ask me. The orphanage tried so hard to fix me but they couldn’t. The children would laugh and beat me! I wasn’t that affected, because your actions hurted so much worse. You were the reason I was seen as weird, a freak! You destroyed my life, just because I was an orphan. I have seen the most traumatizing thing happening to my caretaker, my sisters, and my friends, do you know what it was? It was a massive explosion. It killed the people I loved right in front of me, do you know how much pain I had? Of course you don’t, you were given everything on a silver plate! Rich parents, good grades, friends, a powerful quirk, being the best at everything. I didn’t have that! You used your privileges to be seen as someone superior than others and with that, you bullied others you deemed lower than you.” Jinx said  in front of Bakugou as his face kept his scowl face but it seemed to have a bit of sadness in them, hm. “Look, the League of Villains shouldn’t change you. You’re Y/N L/N, maybe the dumbest and naivest person but also the most caring. You’re not what they say you are. They made you think you’re a Jinx but you’re not!” Bakugou kept a straight face and said it in the most serious voice he could do.
“Wanna know a secret? All for one thinks he made Jinx. With all of his rants and his hard-one lessons.. “Exile your doubts, Jinx.” , “Be what they fear, Jinx.” But, he didn’t make Jinx…” Jinx said, holding her home-made pistol, she suddenly aimed it at him with her head tilted to the side and looked at him with her eyes, but wait- Weren’t they E/C? Why were they pink? She stared at him with those eyes, those angered yet sad eyes, she glared at his vulnerable position.
“You did.”
BANG!!!!!

You know how I said relations between the clans are strenuous at best? Yeah this is why. Noble Pokémon burdened with terrible might flee to other areas, their heightened power having catastrophic results. The wardens and the ride Pokémon relocate as well to best deal with the changing terrain, but the clans automatically assume the other stole the Pokémon, and the subsequent effects are Almighty Sinnoh “enacting justice”
Area breakdowns under the cut
Lady Liligant at the Obsidian Fieldlands, where the “blessing” from Giratina makes her presence enough to create an overgrown floral maze. This jungle is impossible to navigate without the grace of a dancer. Warden Ingo and lady Sneasler relocate to the fieldlands, where Sneasler’s claws allow her to scale the massive flowers and trees Liligant has created.
Lord Kleavor at the Coronet Highlands. Being so close to the distortion rift, and by proxy Giratina, Kleavor has power to cleave the entire mountain in half. Inside Mount Coronet, electromagnetic fields result in a strange gravity, with floating boulders and strange crystals. The state of this area seems to resonate with both Emmet and Ingo for some reason, but the latter cannot investigate due to his duties with Sneasler in the Fieldlands. Warden Mai and Wyrdeer have moved to the highlands, as Wyrdeer’s speed and jumping prowess proves useful in traversing the strange gravity and floating objects. This would be the last area Barry visits, due to how dangerous it is.
Lord Electrode in the Crimson Mirelands. Electrode’s electricity is nullified by all the mud and ground, but their grass typing is more than enough to make up for that. The ground types that otherwise would be super effective are sent running by electrode’s grass moves. They plant seeds almost like land mines, and upon triggering these seeds, huge vines will sprout in an explosion. These vibes rest in craters, and act as lightning rods. Electrode siphons the electricity from them to gather it’s own strength, even when surrounded by its weakness. Warden Calaba and Ursaluna have remained in the Mirelands, hoping that Ursaluna can dig up and remove Electrode’s roots before they sprout.
Lord Avalugg at the Cobalt Coastlands. The coast has frozen over, and Avalugg wades through the icy sea like an angry kaiju. Warden Sabi and Braviary relocate to the coast to keep close watch of Avalugg. With the sea frozen over, the safest way to reach him is by air.
Lord Arcanine at the Alabastar Icelands. In the confusion of Avalugg’s arrival, the Miss Fortune sisters nab Growlithe and flee to the Icelands, where lord Arcanine’s son follows in hot pursuit. After evolving the icelands begin to melt from Arcanine’s heat. The Pearl clan has relocated to Snowpoint Temple, the highest peak in the icelands, to escape the flooding. Warden Iscan and Basculegion accompany Palina to the icelands, which is largely underwater due to Arcanine’s heat. With the risk of catastrophic flooding imminent, Basculegion is necessary here.
TEMPLE OF SINNOH- A distorted mess of what it used to be. Shadows seem to move on their own and those who visit report the unmistakable feeling of being watched.

How would Drift and Rodimus deal with Death?
This is a long one, mainly because of Drift. It's just a lot of character development for him regarding Death!
----------
Drift's relationship with Death is an interesting one. He's has always been a religious bot, even if he's doubted and denied his faith at times.
Even as a guttermech in Dead End he believed in the divine and that included the being that was Death. Seeing so many other homeless mechs dying around him, it made it easier for him to process knowing that there was someone who would take care of them. While the thought of dying was scary, Death themself was comforting because that meant that despite all the injustice and unfairness, some higher being actually cared about them.
Things changed when Gasket died. While everything after that was kind of a blur, Drift vividly remembers another bot being there as he slaughtered the enforcers that had killed his dearest friend. They had stood above Gasket, a spectral apparition simply gazing down on the rapidly greying corpse with a cold face. When the enforcers were all dead and Drift had managed to calm himself down, the mysterious mech was gone.
After this, Drift cursed Death for being so cruel, for taking someone who was so kind. Why couldn't they spare him? Why were they so indifferent to who died? Gasket's death twisted Drift's perception of Death from a being of mercy to a cruel mech that didn't care about anyone.
When he later became Deadlock, he would start looking for Death. On the battlefield, whenever he killed someone, he would keep his optics open, searching for that bot he had so briefly seen back then. In his mind, Deadlock convinced himself that it was so that he could try and kill the bastard, maybe take his power or something, but the truth was that he wanted answers. He needed to know why Death had taken Gasket that day, why so many cruel and evil bots were still alive. Why Deadlock himself was still alive.
Things once again changed when Deadlock escaped execution from Turmoil and subsequently met Wing. When Deadlock was nearly killed by slavers, he once again saw Death. In that moment, he was prepared to die, thinking that Death had come to finally lay claim to his spark. That's why he was shocked to wake up in Crystal City, still alive.
Confused by his survival, Deadlock eventually told Wing once they had grown closer, hoping to understand why Death had taken him that day. Wing admitted that while he himself could not hope to fully understand Death, he believed that maybe the entity was watching over him. Perhaps Death had seen something greater in Deadlock and had been there to make sure he didn't die before his time had come. Deadlock was unsure about this and still didn't know what to believe yet a small part of him started to hope.
He finally saw Death again when Wing died and he himself almost died in the battle of Crystal City. As the killing blow was to be delivered unto him, he saw the figure of Death. Death stood over Wing's body but this time Deadlock realized that there wasn't cold indifference on their face but determination and will. They locked optics with Deadlock and for a brief moment, the ghost of Wing appeared by their side, smiling at him. It was then that Crystal City rose up and his life was once again saved.
After this, Deadlock, now once again going by Drift, began to see Death as he had before; a merciful being that actually cared about the people of Cybertron. He now finds peace in the fact that there will be someone there waiting for him when he eventually passes on.
----------
Now Rodimus is also pretty interesting. Back before the war and in the very beginning, he believed in Death but he didn't particularly put a lot of thought into it. As Hot Rod, they were simply another fact of life, like gravity or time, something he didn't have any power over.
Everything changed when Zeta Prime arrived in Nyon with his Omega Destructors. Forced to blow up up the city rather than let its citizens be drained for fuel, Hot Rod saw himself responsible for all those deaths, that he was their killer. This weighed heavy on his shoulders. He regarded himself as irredeemably and that when he himself ultimately died that Death would punish him.
When Rodimus was shot in the chest and left drifting lifeless in space my Megatron, he found himself in a state of semi-consciousness. He was not aware of how much time had passed or what was happening to him but there was always this intense feeling of not being alone. While he does not know it, it was Death by his side, keeping him alive together with the aide of the Matrix.

Witchy Tools: Wands
Used For
Wands are used primarily to help witches channel and direct energy when doing magical workings. In some practices, they are even believed to help draw in natural energy from the earth to use, in addition to the witch’s own energy. They can be as plain or ornate as the witch wishes, and depending on what is added the properties can change, but no decoration is required - and people can even substitute needles, their finger, or other things for a wand if they want one but cannot have one, though it can require more control without a conduit.
Materials
Wands can be made of a variety of materials, with the most common in recent times being either wood or stone/crystal. The properties of the wood or other material can influence a wand’s affinity for certain energies or add those energies into the workings, so choosing the material of the wand can be as important as learning how to use it.
The wands can be bought, after being made by someone else, or you can select your own by making it yourself or finding something you want to use through intuition. Regardless, whatever you choose to use as a wand you should feel drawn to and a connection towards.
Process
The process of using a wand will work slightly differently for every witch, as there are multiple ways to channel energy and each witch uses what works best for them. However, the end result is directing whatever energy is being harnessed through the wand in a way that focuses the energy. That energy is then used to create the desired effect - whether that be casting a circle, cleansing a space, or performing a ritual or spell.
Why it Works/History
Wands have been found dating back to Mesopotamia, and in Egypt made out of tusks. There are also references to wands in the Bible, Hinduism, and Greek and Roman writings. More recently, they have also been in European grimoires, and many have posited that dowsing/divining rods count as wands as well. They are a prevalent tool in magic around the world, and are still a symbol used today - the Rod of Asclepius is a well-known wand used as a symbol of medicine, for example.

Last night, The Royal Family have released further details on the Coronation.
The following information are taken from the Royal Family Website, The Royal Collection Trust and my own research on the Coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth in 1937.
The Queen's Regalia:
💍 The Queen Consort’s Ring:
A ruby in a gold setting, was made for the Coronation of King William IV and Queen Adelaide in 1831, and has been used by three further Queens Consort; Queen Alexandra, Queen Mary, and Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother. During her coronation act, the Archbishop will put it upon the fourth finger of her right hand.
👑 The Queen Consort’s Crown:
Queen Camilla's choice to be crowned with Mary’s Crown marks the first instance in modern times of an existing crown being used for the Coronation of the Consort. Ahead of the Coronation, minor changes and additions to Queen Mary’s Crown are being undertaken, such as the as inclusion of the Cullinan III, IV and V diamonds which were part of Queen Elizabeth II’s personal jewellery collection for many years. The design was inspired by Queen Alexandra’s Crown of 1902. Like Queen Alexandra’s Crown, it can be worn without the arches in the form of a circlet, which Queen Mary wore for the Coronation of her son, King George VI, in 1937.
🔱 The Queen Consort’s Sceptre and Rod with Dove:
The Queen Consort’s Sceptre with Cross was originally supplied for the coronation of Mary of Modena, Queen Consort of James II, in 1685 by Robert Vyner, and is inlaid with rock crystals. During her coronation, it will be placed into her right hand.
Mirroring the Sovereign’s Sceptre with Dove, the Queen Consort’s Rod with Dove is symbolic of ‘equity and mercy’ and the dove, with its folded wings, is symbolic of the Holy Ghost. During her coronation, it will be placed into her left hand.
