God, you hated everything about him. From how mouthy he was to how he always felt the need to be better than you! He was honestly just the worst.

And now he was right there infront of you. Look at him! One of the worst being to come into existence...

"Don't you know that staring is rude?" Espresso would ask from across the table.

"I am not staring," you snapped back.

"Well if it's not that then you must be gazing with admiration." Espresso let out a small chuckle before looking towards you once again.

The mere thought of it was absolutely repulsive. Why would you ever hold admiration for somebody like him?

I mean, he was so snarky, hardly took care of his health, always thought that he was the center of everything, researched way too much, was incredibly smart, always looked dashing, had eyes that could swoon anyone and- what were you thinking about again?

Right. Espresso is the worst!

"You know, I absolutely despise you," You'd say.

"Uh huh... And that's why you talk about me all of the time?"

"I'm complaining about you." You crossed your arms.

"Glad to know I'm always on your mind..." He'd roll a pen around on the table nonchalantly, not taking any of your words seriously.

"You're so irritating!"

"You're not any-"

"Would you two stop bickering like children and please take this outside? We are trying to have a productive meeting here." Latte Cookie seemed to be fed up with the both of you. So did the other professors.

Espresso sighed before reluctantly exiting the room with you.

"Look at what you did, ass-hole," you muttered under your breath.

"The only thing that got us kicked out was your own immaturity."

"You were acting just as bad. Don't start."

"Oh my God, would you please shut up already?"

"Make me."

Espresso would send you a nasty side eye before grabbing both of your wrists with one of his hands. He'd push you up against the nearest wall, placing a hand firmly at your side.

"Hey! What the h-"

Before you could continue any of your protests, Espresso's lips would meet with your own, and instantly, you'd melt into the kiss.

The kiss was desperate and messy, and for a long time neither of you dared to pull away.

"For someone who hates me, you're not resisting this very much," he would say in-between kisses.

"You have me pinned-"

He continued to kiss you needily.

"'Using hardly any strength. You could have easily gotten out if you wanted to." He leaned closer to your ear. "But you didn't. I wonder why that is~"

Though you couldn't see his face, you knew he was smiling. A heavy blush dusted your own face, and just out of petty, you'd move your hands a little.

Espresso's grasp immediately tightens. "Don't be like that. You've already shown me that you like this quite a lot."

He resumed kissing you, making you breathless and your knees grow weak. Everything about this felt so wrong yet so right at the same time. You needed more of this. You needed more of him.

Espresso would continue to kiss you, hungry for the taste of you. Your bottom lip had become swollen from all if the biting and kissing, and his grasp around your waist had gotten tighter.

At this point, you had not only stopped resisting him, but had fully embraced it.

If you had told yourself from a few days ago that Espresso would be choking you out with his tongue, and that you were enjoying it, they would have looked at you as if you'd grown two heads.

Then the doors to the meeting room flew open, exposing the both of you.

"Aha! I TOLD YOU THEY WOULD MAKE OUT. LATTE, YOU OWE ME TWENTY BUCKS!" Eclair would call out.

Latte just face palmed.

After getting home from doing some chores they decided to suprise expresso so they quietly make their way to his room he's quietly working at his desk so they take this as a they didnt realize he was super busy so they hug him from behind causing him to spill the potion he was making without realizing he lashes out on y/n, then realizes what he had just done before he could say anything y/n ran out of the room crying (dramatic lol)

summary: you wanted to show some affection to your dearest espresso cookie, but without realizing it, you messed up his work, causing him to yell. when you run back to your bedroom, feeling bad for interrupting, how will espresso cookie react?

warnings: physical touch, yelling, maybe ooc(?)

Finally, you were home. You sighed in relief. You were finally done running errands, which meant that you could finally see your husband, Espresso Cookie, once again.

You happily walked towards his home office. Quietly, you opened the door and made your way over to him, preparing to surprise him. Suddenly, you wrapped your arms around him.

The unexpected contact caused Espresso Cookie jump, consequently making him drop the materials in his hands and ruining the experiment he was working on. He groaned. "Seriously?! It took ALL DAY to get to this far! Do you even realize how hard it is to get some of this stuff? And now it's all gone to waste!"

His sudden yell caught you off guard, causing you to step back. Feeling guilty for what you caused, you quickly scuttle out of the room, muttering an "I'm sorry!" before you shut the door, leaving him alone in that room for the rest of the evening.

Late into the night, Espresso Cookie finally walks out into the hallway and makes his way towards your bedroom, where he knew you would be. Gently, he knocks on the door before entering quietly.

He makes his way over to the bed and carefully sits down next to you. He turns to look at you, only to be met with your tear-blotched face and your eyes that looked anywhere but him.

"Hey..I'm sorry I yelled at you. I didn't mean to make you cry. Really, I'm sorry," he gently whispers an apology. You finally turn to face him. "You sure you're sorry?" you quietly ask, still feeling terribly guilty about earlier.

"I'm sure. I really am. I never intended to yell, nor did I want to make you cry," he says as he carefully places his hand on your cheek. You close your eyes as you lean into his touch, "Okay."

this poor man is exhausted all of the time, so he likely won’t even register what you’re saying at first and will dismiss it with a nod or a hum

but after his mind catches up he’ll pause what he’s doing, look back at you for a tick before returning to the task at hand

doesn’t really react much to your more dramatic statements aside from joking logical retorts when he has the spare moment

“i will kill for you,” -> “you would go to prison, and i’d rather not have to explain to my colleagues that my boyfriend is in chains,”

“i’m going to die for you,” -> “i’d rather have you alive for now, dear,”

he understands what you’re getting at and is generally amused by it, but won’t usually let it show

sometimes might return that same energy when he’s less tired than usual, but for the most part will just nod along and react as he would to any other “thanks”

red velvet cookie

red velvet doesn’t really understand your dramatic phrases and will initially treat them seriously

“i would kill for you,” -> “i can defend myself fine, there’s no need for you do to that,”

“i would die for you,” -> “i would die protecting you before i ever let that happen,”

“it’s just a pen?” and similar statements become commonplace as he adjusts to your language choices

though once it finally clicks for him, he’ll start using those phrases himself — usually just in regular conversations but also as a reassurance

“i would die before i let anything happen to you,” & “if you ever asked me to, i’d kill for you in a heartbeat” for example

in short, he matches your energy just in a different context
