A Present For the Lads!

Paradox received a gift from my mutual @mooncustafer. It's a rug that looks like Tris and Alex must have purchased it on one of their legendary travels. Mooncustafer made it. The stitches are so incredibly tiny.

created this reference pic because i like bodytype/height variety and because i want to eventually make some gnome/halflings characters. other dolls that are short but aren’t toddlers/small kids i know of but don’t have are mattel cave club and mga lol tweens.

other notes: mattel spirit dolls are compatible with barbie extra minis out of the box and they even might have matching skintones. lol omg have their cartoony instagram baddie bodytype but they look most similar in size to curvy failfix doll (afaik failfix have different bodytypes too and maybe one is even a little bit taller?). and umm sorry abt two dolls being faceless, i haven’t got around to repainting them (again).

I'm sorry for the crappy lighting (of course it clouded up when I got home) The one in the tights is Homecoming Queen Skipper. I can't remember who the Skipper in the blue dress is but I included her in the line up just in case; she's a little darker than HQS.

Creatable World doll on the left is not a good match.

This Creatable World doll isn't bad but the Skippers have more of a reddish tone.

This Skipper Babysitter's Inc doll is close but a bit lighter. I fell in love with her so I couldn't behead her ^_^;;;

This is a Licca/Blythe doll body I got off Aliexpress. I had bought two that were supposedly different shades of brown (and one was 80 cents more) but they ended up being the same color. It's not a great match as the Skippers are redder in tone but it could work. The arms are SHINY.

I wasn't satisfied with how Vince or Lio were turning out. Painting doll bodies is a nightmare because paint chips at the joints and it looks real bad.

Of course, though, I feel a little guilty for using this cute doll for Vince. Like, I actually like the base doll as is. Maybe I can grab a slim box one sometime and just have a couple of creatable world babies.

But to truly make him Vince, I need to cut off his arm and give him a big scar across the chest.

Tris and Alex: Autumn Walk

I've surpassed 100 human followers. So have a little Tris and Alex as a treat. I redressed all my dolls for autumn and winter today so I thought it might be a good time to photograph their first kiss (@ledbythreads). Inspired by that Robert in a sweater photoset that's been going around.

Clothing - Alex's sweater was handknit by me. He's wearing his usual vintage Bratz Boyz Jeans and a Creatable World t-shirt. Tris is wearing a vintage Bratz Boyz shirt and vest and unbranded pants.
