2nd June 2023: Lunch time walk at Lakeside and bits at home

Photos taken in this set: 1. House Sparrow in the garden, I’ve enjoyed seeing them a lot lately. 2. Beautiful pink scabious in the flower bed at Lakeside. 3, 4, 8 and 10. Views at Lakeside on another bright and beautiful day. 5. My first Lakeside nightshade of the year, a key flower this week such a mysterious and colourful one. 6. A bright dandelion on the way to Lakeside, lovely to see a few. 7. Fungi at Lakeside on a tree which was nice to see. 9. Meadow crane’s-bill at Lakeside.

I enjoyed seeing a Red Kite soaring from my room this morning. At Lakeside seeing Swifts above and skimming Concorde lake again was a springtime delight, and I was excited to see a Blue Tit flying under the roof of the buildings at Lakeside and hear the sweet chirps of chicks there appears to be a nest in there. Seeing Great Crested Grebes on nests and Moorhen too on a nest next to one of the grebes was lovely again, with Canada and Greylag Geese including goslings of the latter enjoyed too. Seeing the head of the terrapin rise from the water briefly was another unique experience with this roving released reptile. Swollen-thighed beetle was good to see too. Bramble flower, seas of oxeye daisy, dogwood, scarlet pimpernel, white campion, buttercups, cuckooflower still going at the shore of beach lake, yellow iris, chamomile, yellow rattle, thistle, wood avens and red valerian were other key flowers seen at lunch time.

Desmond head canons (with a few non desmond head canons thrown in) (I love desmond and all non-desmonds equally I swear)

Desmond once came out of the animus and tried to greet the others, but he couldn't figure out which language to use, so for about 5 minutes, he cycled through different languages trying to find the right one before just giving up.

Ezio has chronic pain from climbing buildings because he never learned the correct way to climb them, nor the correct stretches to stop the pain

Desmond once cried for an hour in his room bc he couldn't remember Rebecca's name when he came out of the animus

Desmond nearly attacked Bill on multiple occasions because his bleeds made him appear to be a Templar (Bill is no longer allowed near desmond as he is getting out of the animus)

While they were in the temple, a bear wandered in, and everyone freaked out, but desmond just helped the bear find its way back to his mom (they now get random prey left outside of the temple)

One time, desmond tried to reach for a throwing knife before realizing he dosent have throwing knives, and he nearly died, lol

Desmond called Rebecca Claudia once, and she never forgot it
