OK OK BUT ILL TELL YOU ABOUT MY SWEETEST BBY HE DON'T GET MUCH LOVE 🥺

Let's start with the simplistic: Teyo is the baby Salamanca! He's Dawn and Charlie's little brother [he's 18, Charlie is 20, and Dawn is 24!] And the 'brains of his siblings. He's very crafty and a tech whizz and makes a lot of gear and security for their apartment to keep safe in a place like Disturbia. He also helps fix up Charlie's gear! Adding his own little touches here and there.

He's a excitable, rowdy, and energetic teen who is trying to experience life to his fullest before entering adulthood... At least experience it as good as he can in a city like Disturbia.

Teyo isn't exactly a 'Vampire Slayer in training' given he never went to school/training for it [that'd take 4 years of school] but he has his own weapons and gear and tags along with his sister on missions even if she doesn't allow him to come the first time.

Teyo also acts as Charlie's more sympathetic side, as playful, and teasing as he can be he has a kind soul and heart of gold. Whatever he does he does with intentions of sticking up for him and his sister- she's the most important thing to him. He was also the one who even suggested bringing Dawn back him with them after their run-in to her when Charlie wanted nothing to do with their oldest sister.

He and his sisters are Hispanic-African American!

As sweet and angelic as Teyo comes off- which he is! Sometimes he is just a bit... Havoc wreaking and can create some pretty nasty bombs and just keep them sitting around on a kitchen table.

Because of his amazing brain and work with inventing, he is wrapped up in some dangerous work with a Vampire named Dimitry and his coven/gang. Charlie doesn't know, but she's suspicious of his late nights away and coming home during the day or missing tools and inventions.

Teyo is girl crazy but God forbid any woman even look at him or he's a wreck.

He and Dawn's relationship was practically healed the second he saw her. It'd been years since he'd seen his sis and now here she was right in front of him! Dawn reconciled the same way and they were already goofing around and being brother and sister- he could care less about the new vampirism. He loves his sisters and wants them to get along more than anything so they can all be a family like before, even if it'll take a lot more work than he thought.

For chrysta and the boys how did they know they were ready to have kids? Who wanted to have kids in the first place? Was it planned and talked about? And how was chrysta during each of her pregnancy’s? ((Moods,cravings,etc)) who did she tend to cling onto more???

OK ILL TRY NOT TO RAMBLE TOO LONG I PROMMI ILY 🙏🙏🙏 💙🩷💙🩷💙🩷💙🩷

SO, Let's see where we should start first... >:]

The idea of kids between the boys was one that actually wasn't mentioned a lot... And if it was, it would probably be dropped after a minute or two of the conversation. One of the biggest concerns with it all was the fact Chrysta was still human at this point, (Fun fact, she was human for both Anastasia AND Jennifers births, she turned after some issues with Jenny's brith that the guys just couldnt risk again) and she wasn't really prepared to take the next step and enter through the Veil of immortality.

It wasn't like anything truly onsided! (Like Chrysta wanted kids, and the guys didn't, or vice versa.) Simply the life and hassle of chasing baby vampires around the Boardwalk just didn't seem like something in the cards for the coven.

Oh... But then there was that weird maternal smell starting to linger around the cave - almost similar to the one that'd hang around Star when she was left as Laddie's caretaker. And that murmur in Chrysta's heartbeat began to become way too distinct to be a murmur as the sound grew stronger... Especially to David.

While the other guys could smell and hear just enough to start panicking and getting a little nervous, it was 10× stronger for David, which made him catch on real quick that Chrysta was pregnant, and it was with his kid.

Now, the only problem they were trying to figure out before going into full panic mode was... Did she herself know?

Short answer? Yes. 🫣

After like- 2 months in of acting as though everything was all good and normal, the nights on the back of bikes was starting to become too risky and wreckless to take chances, and the smells adorning the boardwalk were too strong to just run straight to a restroom to throw up that evenings meal and excuse it with having to freshen up makeup in the bathroom.

She knew it was only a matter of a few more days till she broke the second the boys had come to her window late at night and saw Chrysta hurriedly shove a bunch of her old scrapbooks of her as a baby with her mom and any other childhood memories glued into the pages for whenever she got homesick in the summers.

David looked right her the second they were invited in and stated blunt and with no room for argument: "You're hiding something from me, aren't you Chrysta?"

Didn't take long for the poor thing to burst into tears, stating in between sobs that she was scared but she was prepared to take the next step and become a Mama, and she felt damn ready to leave Santa Carla and do it herself if she had to.

Dont worry David got her to calm down and reassured her she wasn't about to leave Santa Carla, and she was definitely not having and raising a kid (let alone a VAMPIRE) by herself. And she's got four daddy's to help her out. 🥺🥺🥺 She just cried harder after that LMAOOO

So then after sweet Annie was born, it wasn't long until the baby fever kicked in for the rest of the boys, and they started realizing they wanted a chubby, green-eyed bundle of fangs and giggles resembling themselves to give a little more lovin' to. 🫠💜💜💜 Chrysta had fight them off with a stake for a good while there BAHAHAHA

And how was each of her pregnancies?

About six months in Chrysta actually felt pretty good! It was just the normal pregnancy things you'd expect and nothing she was too worried about that she hadn't read about in the baby books... But those last two months were rough.

Given she was a human, it wasn't a surprise that her body had a hard time taking the energy it did to prepare herself for a baby vampire, so instead of taking just half the energy it would, it took ALL if her energy and health and pretty much left her super sick those last two months.

Her legs hurt, her ankles were sore, everything was too hot, her back and abdomen ached, and for some reason she really wanted to eat/craved raw meat. 😬😬

Of course things went pretty smooth during the birth, and Chrysta only took a few weeks to recover and get back to her old self! It wasn't until the second pregnancy that the scary stuff happened.

What Chrysta went through her last two months during Anastasia lasted the whole nine months with Jennifer. It left her in some nasty shape afyer the birth so much so that Max had to tell his boys if they planned to add any more to the little pack, Chrysta was gonna have to become a vampire.

It didn't take much convincing, Chrysta felt ready for it at that point, wanting to take that final step and spend an eternity with her mates and especially her kids.

So after becoming a creature of the night, Chrysta had normal and easy pregnancies+ births for Tiff, Kat and Chris! Still got the last two months sickies tho...

The cravings overall just extended to meat or anything with blood- even as a human if she pricked her finger with a needle or got a papercut she found herself sucking on her finger draining the cut a little too long for comfort. And if the boys decided their little Mama needed to be spoiled, she'd always request stake as rare cooked as it could get-like, this girl would beg for it, clapsed hands, puppy-dog-eyes and everything.

And who she clinged to the most during the nine months was probably whoever the dad was. Given a birthing bond was between them, whichever one of the boys baby Chrysta was having was gonna be watched over by the biological papa.

During the day (or a few of the nights when Chrysta was getting used to it still) the one singular boy would break off from sleeping in the rafters with the rest if the family and stay on level ground to watch over and protect Chrysta given the vulnerable state she's in- and she can't exactly sleep upside down in her condition.

... But it wasn't rare her go-to's for when she just felt clingy was probably Dwayne or David. Not that Paul or Marko weren't treating her less or anything! But sometimes she just needed to hug an arm or lean against a back to ease her sore one without any questions asked. 💜💜💜💜

WIP Writing Poll

Trying something a little different since I've got a (blissfully) clear weekend ahead of me and I didn't do WIP Wednesday in the usual sense this week:

Not expecting a ton of traction but I figured it's worth trying.

Emergence:

Wholesale rewrite of Power Rangers Mystic Force. Nick still rolls into town, the core five are still recruited, Udonna still loses her Snow Staff, but all it takes are a few changes to change everything. Madison makes a move. Koragg recognizes his missing son. Everything is the same, and nothing is the same. More romance, more mysticism, more focus on the characters.

Tales of the Outer Planes:

Prequel series to Descent and TFaK. What happened between March and August 1986 that brought Eddie and Steve so close? A few big incidents, and even more smaller moments that build to something new.

A Brother is Born for Adversity:

Immediately after the end of Righteous Gemstones 3x08. Kelvin's on Cloud 9, Keefe's anxious, and they need to have a talk. Missing scene, essentially.

Magical Mysteries Never Give a Single Thing Back:

Summer 1985: Eddie Munson makes a deal with a demon, trading away true love for musical success. One hitch: that demon looks like Steve Harrington, and says he could give Eddie love in exchange for his musical talent instead. Eddie refuses. Part two is still a WIP and tracks the fallout of that deal, for better or worse.

Steddie Witches AU:

Steve Harrington is from a long line of well-respected witches in one of the world's most powerful covens, but he's never quite lived up to the name or the expectations. He assumed he'd live a life of magical grunt work, but he finally gets a mission from the circle to hunt down a hedge witch, someone operating outside the rigid magical structure of covenhood that keeps everyone safe. Steve thinks he's ready, but nothing could prepare him for Eddie Munson, rogue hedge witch.

Til I Lose My Breath:

Ronance oneshot inspired by girl in red's i wanna be your girlfriend. Robin's helping Nancy organize some things while she's home from Emerson, and Nancy's definitely sending signals, right? ...right?

Snowed In:

Oneshot about a young Udonna and Leanbow getting snowed in while away in the mountains. Fluffy, with basically no plot. Inspired by every K-drama ever where the main couple gets snowed in for the night and has to share body warmth, except one of them is an ice witch.

Mama's Biscuits & Gravy:

Kelvin used to make biscuits and gravy with his mama every Saturday morning. It's pretty much the only thing he knows how to actually make. So why can't he get it right for Keefe?

Evergreen:

Kelvin/Keefe (Gembers?) fluff about dyeing Kelvin's fauxhawk.

Beyond the Crystal Cave (There's a Tunnel Made for Lovin'):

Sequel to Descent and TFaK. The Spicy Six go to a local festival, eat crappy food, ride rides, and get stuck on the Tunnel o' Love when it breaks down. They get stuck for a WHILE. Shenanigans reasonably ensue.

Harry doesn't know why his husband still buys the Prophet. It's a total rag. But Draco has a routine. He reads it over a cup of black coffee, muttering and scowling and quoting the worst bits at Harry, and when he's finished, he drinks the last drops and then Incendio's the offending tabloid with a satisfied smirk. Today Draco breaks routine and sets the thing on fire before he's had more than two sips. He plants a kiss on Harrys lips and then drops down to kiss Harry's swollen belly too, whispering, "We'll show those arseholes. Your Daddy’s going to be the best Minister the Wizarding World’s ever seen." Harry laughs and gets to work on his draft Equal Opportunities for Wix in the Workplace bill. He's got a long road ahead of him, but with Draco by his side, he feels he can achieve anything. He pats his belly. Didn't they create this tiny life growing and kicking inside him, after all?

Spoilers for Halo 1x08

I’m saying that a lot today, lol. This is just a text thing, though. I’m still doing my next set of GIFs but I’ve seen this a bunch today so wanted to talk about it.

I do my best to not read comments in places like Twitter or Youtube about Halo because it just gets me all frothed up for no good reason. People are allowed to dislike a show, I’m fine with that. But my goodness, the things that get some of these people RAEGING is scary. Just today I stumbled across such sheer anger over this last ep because...

Master Chief is supposed to be a virgin forever!

(Yes, I legit read that line with my very own eyeballs. I can’t make myself go back and find the quote and screenshot it for you, sorry.)

Well, I’m pretty sure there’s a reason why he’s not stopping for some lovin’ in the game because, well, it’s not that sort of game, my good dudes. 🤷‍♀️ A TV show is an entirely different medium. Also, Chief in the game doesn’t have the same sort of hormone pellet that Chief in the show has that he removed. If game!Chief suddenly was flooded with all of the hormones and feelings that have been suppressed in him all these years, there’s no telling what he might be down for. I’m just saying. 🤷‍♀️

(Thanks to @mrtobenamedlater for pointing out that in-game John does have a form of a pellet, check the notes where he elaborates on that further. 😎👍 I edited my statement to say that show!Chief and game!Chief don’t have the same sort of pellet since I’m presuming that game!Chief’s couldn’t be removed as easily as show!Chief’s was. Though I could be wrong again, lol!)

But, but, but, Chief would never fornicate with a spy! He’s going to bring about the fall of Reach because he couldn’t keep it in his pants!!!1!11!!!

Again, my good dude, you’re reaching *heh* a bit there. Yeah, I suspect the fall of Reach might start in the finale. Makee now can give the Covenant their address after all. And none of that has to do with her relationship with John. She was giving humanity the benefit of the doubt because of her feelings for John, it was being tased and tortured and the like that flipped her back.

And then it finally dawned on me just WHY so many of these dudes might be upset: the sex scene was a love scene.

And as that it was a love scene, the focus was on feelings, not jiggling, naked body parts. We’ve seen both John and Makee naked in the show but here, we don’t. This scene was about two damaged people finding each other, not about them bangin’ like a screen door in a hurricane.

I’m pretty sure that if this would’ve been presented with a more typical “wild, screaming monkey sex” where they destroyed the room and the camera is crawling all over her naked body 99% of the time, these dudes would’ve been more, “Yeah, get it, Master Chief!”

Some of these people aren’t upset that Chief had sex. They’re upset that it wasn’t violent or even degrading (to Makee, of course). Or at least, that’s how it sounds to me. 🤷‍♀️

The rest of them can’t seem to grasp that Silver Timeline is not the game timeline and that the characters here are different than the game characters. They keep raging that they’re ruining Master Chief. My dudes, this was presented to you from the start as an alternative version of Master Chief. Things are different here, backstories are different. So therefore the characters will have some differences, they’re not going to copy/paste the characters from the game.

Like, did they miss Cortana being implanted directly into John’s brain instead of into his Mjolnir helmet? You don’t think that would give them a different relationship just on that alone than what they have in the game? Silver Team is not Blue Team. The Spartans were not told about their families in the show vs knowing in the game.

I mean, maybe it’s because I like writing a billion different versions of the same character, seeing how things change when you change the circumstances, that it doesn’t seem so impossible to get that distinction. 🤷‍♀️

Let me conclude by saying, of course, it’s fine for you to not like any sort of romance for Chief. There’s nothing at all wrong with that, a lot of people aren’t shippers and that’s extremely valid. Or maybe you don’t like John with Makee, also totally valid. Maybe the entire scene just annoyed you, valid again. This is just in response to people who just seem determined to scream about the show not being the game or who were just mortally offended that we didn’t get a “manly” sex scene instead of a “lovey-dovey” one. Dude, that’s fine for you not to like it. But you don’t have to come scream at the people who did. That’s not cool, not at all. Let people like what they like, let people dislike what they like. At the end of the day, we’re all fans and we should show each other some basic respect.

I’m sorry if you’re not getting the version of Halo you wanted, I really am. But if this show is making you this enraged, then don’t watch. Cut it out of your life like a toxic friend. Go enjoy the game. Go find a different show to enjoy. Just don’t boil in hatred so much. It’s not good for you. 😕

Unfinished Work #47: Untitled

I just remembered this existed! I had the song stuck in my head when I started writing it lol. I don’t recall exactly how it was supposed to go, but it was gonna be about Scrooge realizing his blood daughter does magic and being Upsetti about it, with plenty of Weblena in the mix.

Webby is freshly sixteen, covered in ectoplasm, and hugging Lena close as they tumble through the portal she'd opened, sprawling across her bed with a laugh. Lena's arms were warm around her neck, but that was nothing compared to the warmth of her smile. Her sweater was rumpled around the edges, betrayed the barest hint of her shoulders.

"Happy birthday, Webs," she murmured, stretching up to kiss her.

Webby eagerly kissed back, breaking apart to nuzzle their beaks together. Lena's fingers traced the griffin scars on her cheek with familiarity. "We should destroy gods more often," she whispered.

"We should," Lena whispered back.

Violet, who had come out of the portal last, grabbed the nearest pillow and hucked it at Webby's head, getting two birds with one yeet. "Absolutely disgusting content in my good Christian coven. I have to sleep in that bed tonight."

Lena hurled the pillow back. "It was her birthday gift!" she squawked, face turning bright red. Webby rolled to the side, giggling maniacally as she sat up.

"Lena, if you got your girlfriend kisses for her birthday instead of an actual present, I'm pretty sure our Fathers would disown you." The hummingbird shucked off a jacket covered in gunk and waved it threateningly in Webby's direction. "First shower is yours, birthday girl. Don't make me get the purifying bells."

Webby leaned over for one last kiss, shimmying off the bed with a squeal. Their fingers stretched out, linked, before finally breaking. "Be right back, girls!"

Violet tsked. "I can sleep in ectoplasm, blood, and gravel. But you just had to soil our duvet with cooties."

"I regret nothing," Lena replied, sprawling out in a sort of sludge-snow angel.

She hummed an acknowledgement, sitting on the edge of the blankets. "I hope Mr. McDuck won't be too upset we missed the party."

"Meh. Teenagers play hooky all the time. He should expect it."

"For birthday parties?"

"I dunno, probably. Especially when the alternative can be defeating gods with your best friends, one of which also happens to be your girlfriend."

Webby's voice broke off as she twisted the water off, humming along to Mama Odie's chorus. She strutted over to the sink, digging out the toothbrush the Sabrewings had been kind enough to leave for her. Webby cleared away a layer of condensation on the mirror with a swipe of her hand and felt something in her heart twist. Freshly cleaned, her feathers tended to floof out. Always had.

It's only now, as a teenager, she can see the beginnings of whiskers dangling down her face.

Enraptured, Webby leaned her slight weight on the sink, feeling them with a damp hand. It was a small detail, really. A fairly normal occurrence for a lot of ducklings as they grew up and grew into their adult feathers. But, to her, it mattered. It mattered quite a lot.

The smile fell from Webby's face as she recounted her latest adventure. She didn't think Scrooge would be upset she missed her birthday, seeing how he rarely ever went to any of his, but she shuddered to think of what he might say if he found out she was ditching to explode slimy gods shaped like polyps.

No Baby Face chapter this week unfortunately, trying to catch up on multiple projects. (I'm currently working on 4. One is just for fun, the other is an actual original project for my conservatory, and then of course, YWIW and Baby Face.) But let me just say... I'm so excited for both the next Baby Face chapter and the next YWIW chapter!

Lots of action is in store!

I wanted to kind of check in with some of my regulars. And because there is quite a comment drought and I have no idea what people think of the direction I've taken YWIW in, I have a... I suppose a fun little questionnaire !

There's a lot of stuff going on in YWIW. Between Frisk fighting the mob, Sans trying to find a cure for the "abominables" (amalgamates) and the new Determined Ones shaking things up... I want to know! What has stuck out the most?

Do you like the new human characters? Do you have a favorite? 👀

How do we feel about Sans's Tony Stark arc? (Because I know for a fact he's freaking out about it.)

Next chapter is going to be very action packed so that's fun! It will also pretty long. All of the YWIW chapters have been really long and I... I'm sorry hahaha. There's just so much plot.

Next part, Sinners, will be tackling the monsters' actual integration and political fallout... PLUS... Frisk will be a full bonafide witch in a full bonafide Witch Coven, so that'll be really fun!
