I don't know, but seeing male characters having "femenine" aspects like long hair, wearing anything even skirts (kilts are cool in general, btw!), even androgynous-looking male...

Makes me feel happy, for some reason.

Maybe because they're not being (usually) judged for not acting like their assigned gender.

I had moments where mom told me that I should act more femenine, before and ongoing.

I just want to be me. If you force me to act like my assigned gender, I'll just end up hating my assigned gender.

Maybe that's why I like seeing characters, not just male but any character in general who are not being judged for not acting like their gender. Like forcing male to be masculine, and females to be femenine, and so on.

They're just them. And I'll admit. I envy that...

I just want to be able to be me without judgement nor worries...

Genshin Impact - Cyno x Tighnari

A/N: Okay, you may call this an obsession, but… Nvm, I’m obsessed with CynoNari. I was already fangirling with all the leaks and I couldn’t make myself wait for the official stuff to come out. So, here we are, the first (I think), CynoNari tickle fic!

Summary: After having Cyno interrupting his classes and annoying him with another set of lame jokes, Tighnari decides it’s time to teach the general a lesson or two.

Word count: 1437 words

Warning: This was written before Sumeru official release and characters may be OOC 

“There you go.” Tighnari said calmly as he finished noting down a few instructions for his student before leaning back into his seat with a satisfied expression and lending the paper to Collei.

“Ah, thank you for your help, master Tighnari!” The girl said, gently picking up the paper sheet and starting reading it carefully, doing her best to understand the lesson. It was another of their lessons. Despite having a problem understanding something here and there, Collei knew she could lean on Tighnari’s knowledge to learn whatever she needed to.

Crossing his arms, the forest watcher observed his student in silence as he waited for any question she could come up with, ready to solve her doubts if there was one. However, Collei remained focused on her reading until the very end of Tighnari’s notes.

“I think I get it…” she muttered with a slight smile on her face.

Tighnari’s ears rose in awe, being caught off guard for a moment when the girl seemed to make it all the way through the end. “Oh, very well, Collei! Well, let’s see… how-”

“Do trees ask one another out? Do you know it, Collei?” A voice coming from the other side of the room interrupted Tighnari all of sudden. He turned around, finding Cyno, standing right on, with a remarkable smirk on his lips.

“O-oh, general, sir”, the girl said in a rush, shocked by the other’s sudden presence, “I didn’t expect to encounter you today-”

“Easy there… I’m here just to pay a visit, not anything formal, Collei,” he reassured her before taking a few steps forward and get closer from where the teacher and his student were, “Anyway… do you know the answer?” Cyno continued, his cool-looking smirk changing into a smug. Tighnari could already tell the twisted intention in his words.

“Collei, you don’t-”

“Hmm… I don’t know, how do trees ask each other out?”

“Weeeell…” Cyno chuckled, looking to Tighnari with the corner of his eyes, spotting the already disappointed look on the man’s face. “They say… ‘wood’ you be mine?”

The silence that followed lasted nearly three seconds. Tighnari could only facepalm, lowering his ears in pure regret of letting such a scene unfold while he was in the middle of a lesson. Collei, however, giggled sweetly at the joke, lowering her head a little to cover her lips.

And Cyno, on the other end, laughed loudly, as if he hadn’t told the same joke for the 28th time in a row. “Do you get it, Tighnari, eh eh?” The general asked between chuckles, elbowing the other on his side. “I mean, ‘wood’ you be mine, got it? Hahah”

“I think this one was the worst so far…” Tighnari sighed audibly.

“I’m sohohorry, master Tighnari…” Collei muttered, trying to shut her laugh as soon as possible as she spotted the distress in her teacher’s face.

“It’s fine, Collei. I think… we can call it a day. We should pay attention to our… guest, right? It’s not everyday we have the presence of the great Cyno in the Avidya forest.”

“Oh, wait wait, you’ll love this one Collei”, Cyno exclaimed, making the girl look up to him. Tighnari had a bad feeling about it. “What do you call an electro vision bearer that uses a bow?” He asked again, biting his inner lip to hold back his giggles.

“W-what? Ahm…” The girl blinked, trying to come up with something.

“You don’t really have to answer him, it’s better to-” Her master warned, trying to stop it before it was too late. However, Cyno interrupted him, once again.

“A elec-throw user!”

“Archons…” Tighnari muttered in disbelief. Was he the same Cyno that the people from Sumeru feared and respected?

“Ohoh my, that one was awful…” Collei giggled awkwardly, shaking her head.”Aha… it was good to see you, general, but I should get going. I still have to revise master Tighnari’s lesson, so if you excuse me.”

“Alright, have your way. Let’s talk later,” he waved to her before looking back to the forest watcher gathering the paper sheets spread all over the table.

“Aw, you didn’t get mad at me, did you?” Cyno pouted, poking the back of one of Tighnari’s ears, making him slightly twitch his head away

“No, I didn’t, but you have interrupted my lessons one to many times, don’t you agree?” He replied, tilting his head to the side to look at him again.

“Oh, don’t be like that. You know, laughing a little is never something bad.”

“Only you laugh at these terrible jokes.”

“And are you to call my jokes terrible? I bet yours aren’t any better. I doubt you could make me laugh with one of them.”

“Is that it?” Tighnari said, placing the paper sheets aside before resting his head on his hand, coming up with a plan, “I’m sure I could make you cackle with a joke.”

“Oho? A challenge from the great Tighnari himself? Alright, let’s hear it.” Cyno replied confidently.

The watcher turned around, facing the general while pretending to think of something. Tighnari smiled slightly, preparing himself before he started. “Cyno.”

“Yes?”

“What happens when you tickle an egg?”

“Well,” the general said, taking a moment to think, closing his eyes as he wondered what could be the answer before realize it, “it crahAHA- WAHAIT!” He shrieked, being caught off guard by a pair of hands suddenly going for his hips.

“Correct, general, it cracks up,” Tighnari replied, going after Cyno was squirming like a fish out of the water in his seat, “just like you after hearing this joke.”

“I’m nohOHOhot- ahahah,” he tried to protest, weakly tugging at the watcher's wrists as he used his thumbs to massage the sensitive spot.

“Oh, really? If my joke wasn’t this funny, why are you laughing so much, Cyno?” Tighnari teased before starting to claw at the man’s lower sides.

As an actual jackal, Cyno howled as the ticklish feeling made laughter burst through his lips, throwing his head back in mirth as he weakly battled the watcher, losing it under the sound of his own giggles.

The gloves covering Tighnari’s hands didn’t seem to make the tickling any easier to the general, after all, he still have all that skin exposed to the other’s touch, almost as if welcoming it, maybe asking.

At some point, while trying to squirm away from his tormentor, Cyno got entangled on his own hood and fell from his chair. A height far from enough to cause him any harm, the general still wheezed as his body reached the floor, finally having a break.

“A-aha…o-okay, you g-gohot me there...  but I- huh?” He looked over his shoulder as he felt something close to him and finding, much to his horror, Tighnari readly straddling his waist, cracking his fingers.

“Huh, ‘got’? I think you’re mistaken, general… I’m not quite done, I still have to give you a lesson for disturbing my classes.”

“T-Tighnahari, l-lehets talk a-about this, yeah?” He giggled nervously, laying on his back to face the other properly and waving his hands in front of his chest, trying to appease the angry teacher.

“Sure thing, what do you have to say in your defense?” And before Cyno could even come up with an answer, the watcher resumed the tickling, gently pawing at his friend’s bare ribs, making his chuckle lightly.

If he was going to be honest, Cyno thought of an excuse to try to avoid another round of tickling, but when he felt Tighnari’s tail wagging over his legs, he knew he wasn’t the only one having fun with that.

“Ahahare- aren’t yohou e-enjohohoying yoursehelf a l-little too muhuhuch?” He tried to taunt, looking up to the man’s face and spotting a faint blush forming on his cheeks.

With no answer, silence soon filled the room as the two of them stared at each other. Tighnari sighed, tweaking at Cyno’s ribs and drawing a surprised squeak out of his lips. “Well, hush now, my cute hound. Enough bad jokes, let me give you something else to laugh about.”

The general pressed his arms against his torso, trying to protect himself as the watcher started tickling his ribs, going up towards his armpits inch by inch. “NoHOHO, w-wahAHAHit- ahaHAHA, plehEHEAse!! ~”

Cyno pleaded dramatically as Tighnari simply kept going. Stupid hound, how dared he to tease the Avidya Forest watcher? Well, maybe he could take this opportunity to teach him a lesson or two. A break from his lame jokes was always welcomed, Tighnari thought, especially if he could give the general another reason to laugh.

By god this took forever to draw. But here we are! Some of the original adversaries all these Heroes and Partners go up against during their stories! A wide swatch of personalities, motives, and intimidation among them all. I won't go into any of them here, but it was very nice to at least hammer out some new designs here. I've only drawn like. Two of these guys before (not counting the heroes and parners).

Speculation on Future Story Party Members

Elements of confirmed story members: Gun (Wonder), Elec (Closer), Fire (Cattle), Ice(Soy)

There are enough Phantom Idols that there’s already some overlap element overlap between them, but I’m going to assume that the story members will have unique elements as long as there are more elements than members.

“Free” elements: Phys, Wind, Psy, Nuke, Bless, Curse, Almighty, Navigator

Some of these elements may be combined into a single character, perhaps another character that specializes in both Bless and Curse.

If there are seven Palaces (at least in the first arc of this game, they will absolutely extend it if the game is successful enough) and we already know the characters for the first two I’d estimate a minimum of three new story members for the middle Palaces.  The last two palaces would be endgame and may or may not have new members depending on whether or not they want to focus on the existing cast.  In P4 and P5 the endgame is when they stopped adding a new party member per dungeon.  (But on the other hand, this is a gacha game where they want you to be constantly pulling new characters…)

And as for more specific speculations:

Assuming that Okyann isn’t a story member there will be another navigator introduced in the mid-game, something that Persona has historically done.

The girl with long black hair is probably important.  We still don’t know her name but she’s been featured in a lot of promotional material.  Maybe she’s one of those party members that’s part of the story before their dungeon comes along?

Another Detective Prince?  Not guaranteed, but it’s an archetype that’s been featured in multiple games before and the Detective vs Phantom Thief rivalry is iconic.  (I’d like the trope to be played straight this time.)  If there is one they’ll probably be the Bless/Curse member like their predecessors Naoto and Akechi.

Just to start out- we do actually know the girl with long black hair’s name! It’s Riko Tanemura (confirmed in-game), and her at least placeholder codename in the files is “Wind”. The first beta had her in-battle portrait in the files, and she’s shown up as a silhouette in both a promo image for the first beta as well as the title screen for both betas:

My suspicion is, as she seems to be the Makoto equivalent (rules-abiding student who has enough of a reputation to enforce it with the other students), is that she’ll be finally joining for the third Palace. Given her (at least placeholder) codename, I’m pretty confident she’ll be the team’s Wind user.

That aside, I think you’re probably right that we’ll be getting a new teammate for each of the next several Palaces! If we assume it’ll continue to mirror P5 at least in that regard, then Riko’s the third Palace teammate (Makoto), and there would be new ones for the fourth (Futaba), fifth (Haru), and sixth (Akechi) Palaces as well. That would also suggest the new, non-Idol navigator (if it’s not Okyann) would join for the fourth Palace, but it could instead be the fifth as the game seems to be “behind” by an element (due to only having three members for the first Palace, not four), so the fourth Palace may be a nuclear user to fill that in first.

The gacha may or may not influence this; I think you’re right they’re more likely to keep adding new characters through it, though, whether that influences the story teammate final count or not.

I’m also entirely in agreement that I’m expecting there to be a detective teammate at some point, too. Probably a Detective Prince, like you said, though maaaybe not if they’re less formal about the “detective” part of it. It could alternatively be someone in a similar role, but not a literal detective- like a reporter, or even just someone else with a, haha, “sole interest in uncovering the truth”. If they end up wanting to cover every element with a story teammate, then there probably will be someone doubling up somewhere like P5 did as well, with bless/curse being the obvious choice with a precedent in several of the games.

All in all, really agree with this overall analysis and theory! I’m really excited to see what parts of it turn out correct in-game!!

(A little heads up, this will contain swearing. If you are not into that, don't read this list! Something else...please heart this post if you want a follow-up fic! I am actually in the mood of writing one...and besides, I feel like I'm probably the only one here who's into Cookie Run...)

Tickle Notes: My dude is too extreme of a lee to not tickle oh my dear god. His ler side, however...

Another one of my favorites, I loved the concept of an electricity themed Cookie and now we have one and I live for him.

⚡Lee!Electric Eel headcanons🔌

-Remember the last post I made? Yeah? Then, we're going to ignore the fact that Eel is literally Lee backwards? No. You know what that means, boys. He's a lee, and that's that.

-On the tickle scale, he's a 117/10.

-He only wants to get tickled by the people he's formed a relationship with. Example: friends, lover, best friends. Acquaintances are fine too, but moderately. Strangers are completely out of the list.

-When he's in a lee mood, he gets embarrassed more than usual, he gets fidgety and usually tends to lie about it. He gets found out by Mocha Ray and Abyss Monarch most of the time.

-Abyss Monarch: hello there, Elec. I'm gonna wreck you completely!

Electric Eel: (Oh shit, I am going to fucking die.)

*Abyss Monarch then proceeds to obliberate his sides, and armpits...and uses his tickly tentacles on his neck and ribs and restrains his arms with some other tentacles*

(someone draw this please. not forcing you!)

-speaking of, keep the kids away cuz bro has a habit of swearing (especially saying the f word) a lot when wrecked. I like to keep stuff family friendly here, but I gotta do it man...

-"NOHOHOHOHOO---F*CK YOHOUUU! AHAHAH F*HUCK IHIHIT!! HOLY SH*HIT! STAHAHAHAP!!" -⚡

-Eleco (yup that's his nickname now) tends to spurt out jolts of electricity when laughing too hard. For example, grab the ribs and nibble them. Trust me, always works. You're gonna need to remember that later...

-Death spots are his ribs, underbelly, and neck (not to mention his sides also)

-my dude gets extremely flustered over his ticklishness...especially when around a friend of his...or around his fellow guardians...

-also his scars are rlly ticklish. (and a good spot, especially the ones on his ribs and underbelly!!) often squeals and melts into a puddle of giggles when tkled there.

-"STAHAHAHAP IHIT AHAHALREADY GOHOD FU-" -⚡

*[C/N] proceeds to get the scars*

-"Wait, not the scars! Not--THE SCAHAHARS!!" -⚡

-Lobster, Abyss Monarch, and Mocha Ray once ganged up on him. Lobster was in charge of restraining the dude, Abyss grabbed the sides and Mocha Ray restrained his legs and I am not saying anything past that. as you may have guessed, mocha ray got his feet and she used tools. more precisely, an electric toothbrush and a small feather. Yes, they got the scars.

-He tried to get revenge on Abyss Monarch, only to find out he isn't ticklish except for two major spots, and get tickled relentlessly.

-Every single time he does that, it ends in him getting tkled.

-The first and only time he succeeded to catch him off guard was when he did a small raspberry on his neck and also squeezed his sides, and he let out a squeal. (it was his neck.)

-He definitely needs aftercare, no matter how long you did it for.

-Remember that headcanon with the jolts in it? Well, the more electricity he generates, the more sensitive he becomes (unfortunately for him, and fortunately for all the people out there that are in an extreme ler mood today and need a burst of energy. Yo, anybody have some tools?!)

-weaknesses: getting teased (gets even more flustered if it's abt ticklishness), anticipation, nibbling (especially on his weak spots, especially especially when you make that "nonmnomnom" sound), tools(???), raspberries, rib counting

-Even though he's a huge lee, Eleco can be a devious ler sometimes. Trust me, he does not know the definition of the word mercy.

-And get ready, because if the mood hits him, he WILL get revenge on you. And it won't be merciful...

-He pokes his lee's sides usually when they're off guard. Three pokes, and you know what happens.

-He plans surprise tickle attacks on Abyss, instantly targeting his neck since it's the only good spot he knows.

-He usually tkls people until he's tired or he feels like they can't do it anymore.

-Loves teasing his lees. (especially when he hits a weak spot)

-"Not there? Too bad, I'm going all out now and you can't escape~!" -⚡

-As I said, he doesn't know who that guy called mercy is. Too bad for you!

-usually tends to poke people's sides just to see their reaction (more commonly Lobster)

-Tends to have tickle fights with Mocha Ray (which he sometimes wins, sometimes loses)

-Smirks and teases with direct eye contact (especially when his lee is absolutely flushed. BRO CAN GET FLUSTERING AF-)

-"Aw, is someone flustered~?" -⚡

-also tends to use the r-word on his lees when he feels like it.

-oh and he also uses that tuft at the end of his long hair to tkl the lee's stomach or sides or behind their knees.

-In conclusion, he is extremely devious. Be careful with him.

I need to take a nap after talking to the psychologist.

I'm tired, I tried to talk to my online friends about my recent hyperfixated character without answer. I was feeling lonely and I ended up daydreaming two times while exercising with other people.

Those daydreaming moments were brief because I was alerted by one of the instructors.

I MADE MY OWN LITTLE SLUGCAT AND I LOVE HIM!!!

Anyway here's the image but little warning, massive loredump incoming.

Notes in case my handwriting is too atrocious + I couldn't fit all my thoughts on that paper:

Custom Slugcat: Electrician

Gimmicks:

1: The tail is a plug that can be used to shock and temporarily stun enemies (not counting electric enemies like centipedes or electric immune like DLLs and MLLs).

2: There are ten total food pips, and a minimum of six are needed to hibernate.

3: Electrician (Elec for short) is immune to damage from electricity (shocks from centipedes, the electric coils in 5P and the green electric storms).

4: Has the ability to recharge electric spears for two food pips per full charge. It can make one electric spear for all ten food pips as long as it has a spear, and a piece of rubbish in each of its hands.

5: Eating any creature that has electricity gives 1-2 food pips (Infant centipedes give 1, Neurons flies give 2, normal centipedes and centiwigs give 4, red centipedes and aquapedes give 7. If you somehow manage to eat a giant jellyfish, all 10 food pips are refilled. Good for you). These creature effectively "recharge" Elec (Food pips symbolize charge as well).

5.5: However, eating any non-electric creature only offers 0.25 to 0.5 pips (literally anything else in the game that doesn't have electric powers, so rip)

6: This thing dies instantly in water. You just can't touch water, it's like acid to you. To get to LttM, you use Elec's immune to electricity perk to get to the super structure from under the shoreline. Idk if it's underground and dark or dangerous parkour above water but hey, it's different.

Lore:

Was purposed and sent by Chasing Wind, as they were concerned with Looks to the Moon's and Five Pebble's lack of response.

Asking Seven Reds Suns to check on 5P wasn't enough, so they purposed a slugcat to make sure LttM and 5P were okay.

Unfortunately, the slugcat wasn't the absolute best due to it being made as quickly as possible. Its wiring is somewhat exposed, so the any water kills it instantly.

Elec's story takes place between Atrificer and Hunter, making it the third oldest slugcat.

It's goal is to charge all broadcasting systems, which costs like 3-ish food pips, which includes force activating 5P's communications. This costs like 5 pips, but as soon as you do this, all inspectors will become agressive.

As soon as you visit his can, he'll notice his communication systems were turned on, rightly assume it's your fault, and kill you for being an inconvenience. So yeah, only talk to him before deactivating the communications, or not at all.

The final goal is to make sure LttM is fully operational. She is not. You have to fix that.

The true ending is checking all the broadcasts and charging them before visiting LttM, and sacrificing Elec sacrifices itself to power LttM to make up for the water she's lost due to 5P.

Due to the iterators not knowing how to self terminate, Elec is unable to ascend. Any attempts to do so (assuming Elec shocks the guardians and somehow gets past) will get you killed by the void worms before being shown a death animation.

Random bits of dialogue:

NSH is teasing SRS because he thinks that SRS made Elec like they made Spear. SRS reveals that they don't know who made Elec, but had a small idea.

Random one-way chats from CW (under the alias Grey Wind). Topics include suspicion of Erratic Pulse, and concern for both 5P and LttM.

CW wondering how SRS managed to purpose 7 slugcats.

Hey, if it isn't a secret, what is your favorite mmfc robot master?

Mine's Air man. Hes remix is sick (always was sucker for some good 8-bit themes but sadly there is no available clean version that i can find), i actually kinda into hes design and color pallete, attacks Silicon city for no reason other than basically an "i REALLY need some ego boost and i think that claiming this city's air as mine will somehow help", also somehow got up into space by himself, ran out of "fly energy" there, said something along the lines "oh not big deal, now the whole world can see how GREAT i am", then shows up in following episodes like he didn't.

Air Man is GREAT he's an absolute blast of a character lmao. Also to be fair I think he deserves a dress, as a little treat.

As for me? Well uhh

OK, BUT IF HE DOESN'T COUNT (I mean, he's not one of the "robot masters" proper), I'd say Elec Man! Hes a motherfucker supreme and I just love the amount of chaotic energy he has. He's been a favourite since his first appearance, and rewatching and getting back into the show recently just gave me more appreciation for his whole character. I enjoy most of the others, too, but Elec holds a special place in my silly electric robot loving heart :)
